  1. which is surprising being that Jews assert that Jesus was not the messiah and reject his entire prophethood in general.
  2. poor guy... but not gonna lie that sounds wicked make it a movie please
  3. I too agree of the possibility that there are Christians and Jews (hint hint we may have a couple veteran Unitarian Christians on this form hint hint) who do not believe in the trinity, yet maintain the idea of believing in the Quran as an inspired word and that the Prophet Muhammed (as) was a prophet who was inspired by God through Angel Gabriel
  4. Oh okay. Does this mean that we can at least say that the earliest accounts of 'christian' teachings, whether or not you agree so, are roman catholics? (Roman Catholic Church) That's also very surprising because obviously we have differences between Catholics and orthodox christians however I would have never thought that the way they both look at the trinity are different? So you are telling me that a catholic himself would try to debunk your water analogy, correct?? Well being told that the trinity is the one thing that is essential to salvation, and yet having it be a concept we cannot understand is very problematic indeed Personally, would you consider the trinity to be part of salvation? Do you think Unitarians and Catholics have salvation?
  5. Salam I was wondering what our fellow brothers/sisters thought of about this video below if you care to watch: it is an explanation of the trinity that does sound nice but I have no clue as to what the point was... a little lost and wondering if someone could help me understand what RZ was trying to say here?
  6. sami is long gone bro.. I was not even around on the forums but I have heard about him. I'm pretty sure he left for good. may Allah bless him, he was very intellectual
  7. step 1: say " I am a shia" three times during bed tonight step 2: go to sleep step 3: done! I am kidding there is no procedure. We base our beliefs on the Quran and the sunnah of the Prophet Muhammed (saww) through the Ahlulbayt and nobody else. The most important thing for now is to learn about the Ahlulbayt and the 12 predecessors after the Prophet Muhammed (saww). Good links to know: https://www.al-islam.org/ --- Many online books that can help you understand the shia belief and lifestyle http://www.almizan.org/ --- Quran tafsir from his eminence Sayed Allama Muhammed Hussein Tabatabai and more if you would like to know specifics, goodluck
  8. You can find a plethora of explanations about Quran 5:51 online @The_Bible... tbh i'm pretty sure there are at least 4 different threads about Quran 5:51 here on this forums!! Your assertion of tafsir not being needed makes you either (1) an arrogant self-conceited person who thinks he knows better than learned exegetes or (2) a scared little boy who doesn't want to find out what may be behind such examples and what you can learn from them.. or, you can step off your throne and understand we are all here to LEARN... even you, and for you that might be a hard pill to swallow but its the truth. sorry
  9. QURAN: 22:39-40 SAHIH INTERNATIONAL Permission [to fight] has been given to those who are being fought, because they were wronged. And indeed, Allah is competent to give them victory. SAHIH INTERNATIONAL [They are] those who have been evicted from their homes without right - only because they say, "Our Lord is Allah ." And were it not that Allah checks the people, some by means of others, there would have been demolished monasteries, churches, synagogues, and mosques in which the name of Allah is much mentioned. And Allah will surely support those who support Him. Indeed, Allah is Powerful and Exalted in Might.
  10. I think @iCambrian pretty much nailed it.. there are many posts about this subject so no need to make any more
  11. wow, you've missed my point completely. LOL. I didn't bring up anything about beliefs, and I'm glad you're confident in your own; but don't mix the way you express your belief with the disgusting attitude you portray to the people in this chat. you also make terrible points (just a quick note) however you're too stubborn to actually carry out a good dialogue without wanting to step all over the person you're having a dialogue with you're a jerk and base how ill-mannered you are with bible references... maybe you're the one twisting your own scripture? haha! also, i'll use any of the thousand bible versions I want, tyvm pce and God bless
  12. @Invoker ? I always thought you were one of our more sound sunni members, why do you insult a religion where you have been part of its forums for a long time?
  13. you quote biblical verses that you think help facilitate your own nasty attitude however you do not at all follow the morale and ettiquete of any christian i've met or discussed with. you help nothing and nobody with your words and you do the opposite of bringing people to your way of truth talking like the way you do. I've repeated it to you numerous times and others have caught on now. Rather then trying to prove that it's okay to be a jerk with bible verses, maybe use others like 1 Peter 3:15 But in your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect, Proverbs 16:24 Gracious words are like a honeycomb, sweetness to the soul and health to the body. Proverbs 15:1 A soft answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger. <<< important Ephesians 4:29 Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear. you're not nice and I suggest for the 3rd time to be more respectful, if you don't wish to be nice then take your attitude somewhere else because you help nobody but your own self
  14. LOL bro... iight im not even going to carry it further, peace homie I hope u find clarity
  15. poor guy, clearly he does not demonstrate any evidence of any solid knowledge in any type of 'apologetic' dialogue and on top of that was pushed into a corner with every type of anti-islamic slur thrown at him...
  16. by speaking like you are better then everyone else? ive told you to get off of your high-horse once already but it seems u just climbed even here if that is even possible, meh at least you recognize you aren't the most fruitful of the bunch, ' Joseph Islam blog ' on a google search might not actually hurt, takes about 2 seconds
  17. @The_Bible first you say that muslims claim the bible is corrupt (and I remember you also previously stated that the Quran doesn't even say that it is), and now you are saying Islam and Quran are both claiming corruption of preceding scripture? make up your mind You seem to really like this type of topic so I suggest reading Joseph Islam's blog; maybe he could enlighten you in this topic to facilitate your and our understanding also to note you are very unfriendly, just my opinion
  18. I'm a little lost, what was the point of the thread? What was it that you were trying to assert
  19. Way to stoop on that level... grow up
  20. @Son of Placid ive went through this whole thread and I'm still lost as to why you and @Endtimes are butting heads? what happened
