Al Hadi reacted to Hockey123 in Paying For Lectures
There is a difference between negotiating a price or charging for a lecture versus accepting a gift (whatever amount or whatever it may be) after one finishes lecturing.
I believe he is talking about the first type. And I find it difficult for any God-fearing man to disagree with what he has said.

No Offence brother but we do not need Ahle Sunnah wal Jammah posting on our issues. Please refrain from posting on these issues, ur opinion is of NO value here.
Feel free to post on the Shia/Sunni Forum.
    Ya..two things about ur response:
    1) Mutah will cause a family fight but 4 wives wont fight??? Get married to 4 wives then tell ur experiences!!! Lol
    2) Girls are naturally loyal! That would mean adultery between two married people would never exist! But obviously it exists as it is mentioned in the quran. The true definition of zina is married people having intercourse with other married people. So Girls are just as loyal as men and some are super loyal and some are not loyal.
Mutah is a sunnah of the Prophet (as) and should be praticed in situations where required.

You are wrong about everything you said here.
Regarding women supporting mut`a, read some old threads on the subject. Some have even been started by women.
You haven't shown much evidence of being familiar with all the facts, let alone having engaged with them.
I thought you said few Twelvers performed mut`a, so how can that be the primary cause for sexual immorality in Iran?
Right, because we all know there is no sexual immorality in Sunni-majority countries...
So the Prophet allowed the newly converted women of Mecca to partake in an immoral act that was "nothing more than prostitution and slavery"?
And why was he even allowing his male followers to do mut`a? Mecca is hardly that far from Medina, and there was no real fighting. So why couldn't his follower just control themselves for a couple of weeks? This was already quite late on in his prophethood.

The 12er Shia sources you have posted, that supposedly prohibit mut'a, have been explained here: http://en.shiapen.co...ia-hadeeth.html
Umar's ruling did not need to be reversed, because it was never legitimate in the first place.
I find it very interesting that you respond to my point (that it is absolutely permissible to for a man to have sexual relationships with as many of his slave girls as he wants) by asking me if I want my mother/sister/daughter to be captured and raped. You completely ignore my point by asking me such a ridiculous question. You're answering my questions with a question! I don't know why I should even bother, but to answer it: Muslims can't be taken as slaves if they are already free, so your question is unrealistic. Now, I have already posted a source which mentions that Prophet Muhammed (pbuh) owned multiple slave girls. Some were even sent as gifts to him, by other kings, such as the case with Mary the Copt.
So, after all this, would you dare accuse Prophet Muhammed (pbuh) of being a rapist?

He claims that he is a Shia, even though he prefers Sunnis hadith over Shia hadith, with regards to mut'a. So I thought I would show him authentic Sunni hadith that agree with the Shia position. If he were to use the tactic you have mentioned, then he will expose himself as a complete hypocrite, and a possible Quranist. He will be a laughing stock.
From looking at his other posts, it seems that he is on the verge of Qur'anism, so the best way to argue against him is by using verses from the Qur'an. The best argument to bring up that is related to this argument, is to mention to him that sexual relations with one's slave-girls is permissible according Qur'an.

You can't trap these people. Whatever hadith you come up with, they will say it's transmitted by fallible men (even if it's mutawatir). If it's the opinion of scholars, it's fallible scholars. And if it's from the Qur'an, it's the interpretation of fallible scholars, or based on the ahadith transmitted by fallible men.
They pick-and-choose types have no objective standards of proof, so there is nothing you can do with them.

Firstly I want to ask who banned it? Because we both agree it was banned, but you person who outlawed it was in a position to do so, thus it still remains lawful.
Sahih Muslim Book 008, Number 3249:
Jabir b. 'Abdullah reported: We contracted temporary marriage giving a handful of (tales or flour as a dower during the lifetime of Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) and during the time of Abu Bakr until 'Umar forbade it in the case of 'Amr b. Huraith.
[ 26378 ] 23 ـ قال : وروى ابن بابويه بإسناده أن عليا ( عليه السلام ) نكح امرأة بالكوفة من بني نهشل متعة .
23 – He said: And Ibn Babuwayh narrated that `Ali عليه السلام married a woman in Kufa from the Banu Nahshal in mut`a.
I don't have a sister and my Mother is an Atheist, so good luck with that one. Even if they were Muslims, if they wanted too, how would I have a say in it? It's the fathers permission that is required, not the brother or sons. Also, if my daughter came to me and told me she has found an individual that she is considering for Marriage, I would most certainly allow her to enter into Mutah so she could get to know this person better to later make a more informed decision. It's not always about sex you know...
