i want to clear something up on this, you dont 'force' them into it and you dont use them just for sex. They can allow themselves to you and deny whenever they wish, the only reason for this is so IF a man has a slave for example, so they dont fall into zina, Allah has allowed it to make it easier on us since you basically live together. This dosent mean they have become your personal pleasure source you abuse as ISIS does.

Brother who ever said we hate our sunni brothers and sisters? We love them and stand up for them however we just cannot agree with their rules and ways. Islam is very similar but we disagree on small things which is why there are 2 sects. Keep in mind the Shia community as a whole is very small to that of the Sunni and when you are at a large scale it is easy to make the opposing side seem like the bad guy. In reality you dont need to label yourself, but you should know if you have a problem which school you turn to. Never say im Shia or Sunni say im a Muslim who turns to Ahlul Bayt and the Shia Teachings for help for example.

Hi i have been blessed with the stubborn mindset to know anything and everything, now im falling in love with this religion and some have helped me alot (Silasun, FreeSpirit and a couple others) so im thankful for such a great community. As im starting University i want to learn more about Islam in my free time but i dont know where to start. Should i try Quran interpretations? Shaira Law? Controversial Topics in Islam? Life of the Prophets and imams? Are there any free courses or cheap ones i can do to enhance my understanding and the history of the Ummah? Only based on Shia perspective please im fed up with Sunni understanding and interpretation for my own reasons. Thanks alot in advance!

Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى says: وَٱلَّذِينَ يَبۡتَغُونَ ٱلۡكِتَـٰبَ مِمَّا مَلَكَتۡ أَيۡمَـٰنُكُمۡ فَكَاتِبُوهُمۡ إِنۡ عَلِمۡتُمۡ فِيہِمۡ خَيۡرً۬ا‌ۖ وَءَاتُوهُم مِّن مَّالِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلَّذِىٓ ءَاتَٮٰكُمۡ‌ۚ “If any of your slaves wish to pay for their freedom, make a contract with them accordingly, if you know they have good in them, and give them some of the wealth Allah has given you.”[TMQ 24:33] I think that should solve what im talking about, not only do you let them free but you need to give them money so they can support themselves.

The girl must consent if she wants to have sex in Islamic Slavery. She should also be treated the same as her master. She cannot be bound/gagged. She has the right to be free if she demands it. She days shes hurt and they continue. I see every law of Slavery here being violated. This is for EVERYONE to what i know,not just muslims, every human. i promise you i dont know what youve read if you can post that would be great but the teachings say if you can free slaves thats better and there is a great reward, if not you can keep them under strict guidelines, so they can protect chastity if they wish, they have the right to get married, you cannot tie them up, they dress like you do, eat from what you do, live under the same shelter as you ,etc. So to be honest ive never heard of this non-consensual sex slave thing and i believe that is classified not only as Zina but worse since its forced.

I have a question, people have been waiting for hundreds of years and so many generations died waiting for him, does it not keep you depressed constantly waiting? I found just being a good Muslim and whenever he shows up, he shows up and ill take it from there, but to always think about it and theirs always the chance that Imam Mahdi (as) wont even show himself in this generation. What are your views on this?

Hello brother i too was in the same way you feel! Heres my shot at it from what i understand 1. It is obligatory to what i understand so that firstly everyone would have shown appreciation to Allah and so some people might think 10 seconds of saying thank you is enough. With a prayer as a benchmark everyone will have to show the minimum level of gratitude. People will then take thanking Allah for granted and will only remember Allah when they need it in the hard time. The different timings make sure you always remember Allah throughout your day and to avoid sin since prayers will be soon. 2. Allah cannot be compared to a human, he has judgement however so if you do something wrong we use the word 'anger' to describe, although we cant actually say Allah feels anger. i'll work on this and update it 3. :Paradise is worth ALOT, standards of whats good changes from time to time so there must be a set rule or requirement to get in. Plus imagine you hold this amazing event for homeless people, they get food, shelter etc forever from you, dont you want a thankyou at least in return? Measure up 20mins a day of prayer to eternal life in absolute bliss. 4. Allah makes it serious to scare the hell out of you. Pun intended. This way you wont say to yourself 'ehh its a small thing i can handle it' Likewise if Heaven is so great it only makes sense that the opposite would be so great too. Think of it like this, even with the scary punishment, no one takes god seriously except a minority. 5. Allah wants to be with you and have a strong bond, you have the wrong idea of the status Allah carries i will recommend a series im sure you will love it helped me alot.
