Ali Hamieh reacted to Aabiss_Shakari in Christian or Muslim?
Dear brother while respecting your views,  i would like to suggest you to move calmly and slowly. At one point of time you were an atheist who was used to argue with Christians about Bible but at this time you are thinking directly becoming a priest without firstly converting/deep studying Christianity. Your decision should not be fast quick and abrupt especially when it is matter of your faith. Your other view that you are not bothered of your salvation. This is by default a mistake. Religion/faith is not just for adoption. Its for salvation of humanity. You are right that you must base your faith on the reason but why a true religion must be based on reason and logic? It is because its for salvation. So salvation is one of basic object of religion/faith. Whatever your decision may be,  be it Christianity or Shia Islam, that must have backing of strong research and knowledge. Ponder deep before converting to any faith.

    Wa alaykum Salaam.
You are highly welcomed to the RIGHT PATH. I am really happy for you. May Allah continue to guide and guard you and everyone of us in all our endeavors in life.
Meanwhile, in Shi'ism, as the first step on issues relating to the practical laws (Fiqh), you have to choose one among the eminent religious Jurists (Maraji'). Thereafter, you refer to his verdicts on any jurisprudence related issue.
I hope this site be of help to you: http://www.islamic-laws.com/

pretty damaging, because morbidly obese people think that they are "healthy on the inside" (which obviously is rubbish)
on the other hand though, its not cool to mock/ abuse anyone because of how they look.

Mocking other believers because they're fat is haram.
I am not arguing that one should mock fat people, I am saying this whole idea of being pleased with being fat is stupid.

Salam, to me as a man the proper hijab is the one that is not causing unnecessary attention, such as something shiny, such as extra skin showing, make up, tight clothes that shows figure, strong colors (bright red), clothes that makes noise (such as stiletto shoes), and such things.
The best hijab is the hijab of seyyeda Zahra(as).
    @Haimi
Brother, if you have read this book that you are recommending us and you or sis hameedeh knows the right answer, then why dont you enlighten the rest of us instead of shutting down a much needed debate?

Salam sis, I do not think its a wise thing to say such a thing. If you confess no human will ever be happy regardless of how you wear the hijab, then the natural conclusion is that you should wear that which makes Allah(SWT) happy and do what you deem is His will, not your will. Unless you want to follow yourself and not Allah(SWT) so the discussion is really what does Allah(SWT) want of us, what can we learn thru the practices of Ahlul beyt(as) that are His perfect examples of His will?

I'm pretty confident that Khurasan is the same Khurasan of Imam Reza. Yet i'm also very sure that Afghans will play a big role, as i have never seen any shias as dedicated as Afghan shias in terms of stamina in faith.

Ali Hamieh reacted to Salati AbdulQadir in The rank of Abu Talib
Abu Talib (peace be on him) was never a Prophet nor Imam but rather a believer in God and in the prophethood of noble Prophet of Islam, Hazrat Muhammad (s.a.w.a). Likewise, He is the father of the first Imam, Hazrat Ali (a.s) and Hazrat Ja'far Tayyar.
Meanwhile, saying of 'Tasleem' (i.e. Alaihi/ha salaam) is not strictly for the Prophets (a.s) or the Imams (a.s). It is just a way of showing respect to their personalities. And the same could be done to a believer. Grammatically, the phrase "Alaihi/ha Salaam" means "peace be on him/her" which is the same with what we say whenever we meet any believer "Salaamu Alayka" (i.e. peace be on you) only that it is been reciprocated and the third person pronoun is used in the former while the second person pronoun is used in the latter.

Abu Talib is the name of true defender of Islam by protecting the prophet throughout his life. He and his children coninued protecting the Islam in every hour when needed to support islam.
he is the father of kule eman ie the entire belief  (Imam Ali As as per hadith of the prophet). So Abu Talib is a complete believer. Some historians  mentioned him a companion / sahabi..

A genuine Arif with the permission of Allah can have access to the hidden knowledge of Allah and can be able to foretell the future. And we have significant numbers of such personalities among Sunni and Shiites.

One fight at a time, how many fronts do you want "Iran/Hezbollah" to fight on?

Let me tell you a story, a true story.
During the Iran Iraq imposed war, Israel attacked lebanon, a bunch of Iranian commanders and soldiers went to Lebanon to help and to engage war on 2 fronts. Shahid Hemmat went, Motavaselian(who is still captured by israellis) went etc.
Imam Khomeini found out that Iranian forces were now spread into two groups and told them to come back. The entire slogan back then was The road to Beyt-ul-Muqaddas. Imam changed this slogan to The road to Beyt-ul-Muqqaddas goes through Karbala, Karbala first, then Quds. An order was given that the Lebanese Hezbollah should learn to fight oppression themselves and Iranians would support it once they decide to do so. And Mashallah what a force they have become. I'm really sorry, but if you don't listen to Wilayat Faqhi, don't expect him to jump through hoops for you.

In the next world, two questions will be asked. For the oppressor they will ask: Why did you oppress, for the oppressed they will ask: Why did you get oppressed and remained dormant?

I am a teacher at a school. I was to leave my class room for about an hour for meeting with headmaster. After delivering lecture I left the class for meeting but when I returned I saw that walls and Windows of class room were blue due to ink sprayed by some student. There was hue and cry everywhere. One fat strong boy slapped and hit three other boys. One of the boy ate lunch of another boy. I wonder what mistake I made?
