I believe he did the best deed a man could do in his time (that's the proof for me) no matter what were the sayings about him. In the end a man is judged by his deeds and the state he dies in.

Those have attraction in the Torah who are fond of disobeying the prophet on many instances of his life

    Assalam aleikum OP,
I really pleased that you brought this topic up! I too have read certain hadiths and have questioned whether the Holy Prophet (saw) would really believe in such superstition. It is truly sad that people throughout history have lied about such a great man and leader - al hamdulilah for the clarification of Ahlulbayt (as).

    Salam,

Sometimes I hear about hadith which forbids yawning because satan will enter the mouth or always put two shoes or sandals on instead of one because that's the dresscode of satan, to not whistle with the mouth etcetera.

These things do actually make me think more about paganism and superstition than monotheism and rationalism.

A lot of ahaadith I still remember from my Sunni period but there are probably such ahaadith in Shia books as well.

Are these kind of ahaadith reliable or did they crept in in time?

I fully believe in the islamic fundamentals which in my eyes are contrary to the beliefs of the ones above.

If one would say that it are beliefs of pagan and isolated forest-, desert or mountaintribes, or villagepeople from the heart of Trans-Siberia I would believe it immediately but it's hard for me to accept they are an integral part of islam.

Even with the evidences in the light of verses of quran that the companions including Umar bin khatab did not follow the prophet instructions, you deny these, what is its reason?
What are the evidences for your claims about marraige of umar with the daughter of imam Ali and supposed bayah of Imam Ali?

As a former Christian i have to say this Wilaya issue is a Test. Just like any other test we are passing through today.
What I might say may be considered as fanaticism. Throughout my journey, in the last 2 an a half years since i converted and chosen shiism, a lot have asked me why you say shia but not sunni...Despite the fact that when studying religion i discovered that imam Ali (As) is the true caliph, but also ''That is the grace of God; He bestows it on whomever He wills. God is the Possessor of Immense Grace.'' ذَلِكَ فَضْلُ اللَّهِ يُؤْتِيهِ مَن يَشَاء وَاللَّهُ ذُو الْفَضْلِ الْعَظِيمِ That is an important Fact! that God doesnt put the love of ahlulbayt in the heart of just anybody, it is a Gift and we are lucky. This was proven to me indirectly and still going till this day as im going further in my journey. Why you think that the greatest christian scholars doesnt convert, or further more the greatest sunni scholars?
So No, I personally don't want Unity with the Person that disobeyed the Prophet Of God. Period. Some Shias are afraid to say this, some are really hesitant which is Weak.

This is what I wrote, actually:
The fact that you edited out the word "some" in order to change the meaning of what I wrote, tells a lot about your honesty and sincerity.
Your questions are illogical. We are here discussing why about one billion Sunni Muslims have negative views of Shi'is and Shi'ism and you are mentioning ShiaChat. Do you seriously think all Shi'ah live on ShiaChat?

Exactly... Mukhtar was a great warrior who fought for Imam's Hussain's (as) blood and he was successful in his mission. I have heard Ulemas say that it was due to Mukhtar's uprising that we got to know more about the battle of Karbala. He made the people who were part of the accursed army of Yazeed (la) give out details of the incidents which happened at Karbala.
Also, not sure if it has been mentioned above, but I have read/heard of a hadith where Imam Baqir (as) I think gave a warm welcome to the son of Mukhtar and made him sit next to him. He only spoke of great things about his father and thanked his role in getting Banu Hashim lead a normal life again. I am not sure if such a behaviour would be befitting from an Imam to a person who is bad.
And with regards to the negative narrations, it is quite obvious that the Ummayyad rulers who followed his death were going to leave no stone unturned in trying to defame a man who made a mess of their plans. Compare this uprising with the ones who are quite famous in Islamic history and look at their reasons for staging a rebellion against Imam Ali (as). Mukhtar definitely fulfilled his promise whilst those famous figures hogged the limelight and did nothing to justify their rebellion after they came into power.

He took revenge on the killers of Imam Hussain a.s. so at least he must have been doing something good.

And if he is bad then why is his grave to be found at the back of Masjid Al-Kufa?

    Meanwhile, you said:
Do Jews also believe that God can be seen with the naked eyes? Or, do they also believe that He resides in/above the skies?
If they believe either of these, then they are anthropomorphists too.

Do you know what pledging allegiance means?? Didn't imam Hussain say the likes of me will never do bayat of the likes of Yazeed.

Even sunnis don't claim that he pledged allegiance  when they attacked his house. Bukhari clearly says that he didn't pledge allegiance for 6 months.

The ones that ought to provide references are people who send random quotes by Imam Hussein that no one has heard of, just to fulfill the support of the faith. If that is how we are going to be, then what differs us from Nasibis?

The Imams (peace be upon them) at times had to publicly dissociate themselves from well-known anti-taghut figures like al-Mukhtar. This was clearly done in taqiyyah in order to protect the Ahl al-Bayt and their followers. Sometimes, the Imams made these statements even in private to certain Shi'ah in order to protect the latter, especially if the Imams feared that they might unsuspectingly fall into a trap of the brutal rulers.

    As a confirmation:
Some believe that al-Mukhtar was the founder of the Kaysanite movement, stating that since al-Mukhtar was nicknamed as Kaysan, his followers were called the Kaysanites. Mamaqani doesn't believe so, and believes that al-Mukhtar was not a Kaysanite.
Ayatollah Khoei believes this accusation has been made by non-Shias who have referred to fabricated and rejected narrations, and believes that Kaysanitism was founded after the death of al-Mukhtar and Muhammad b. al-Hanafiyya.
In addition, al-Allama al-Amini rejects al-Mukhtar's connection with the Kaysanites.

    Bismillah.

There are some Ahādīth in this regard. For example see this Hadith:
Umar passed a man who was reading a book (Torah). He stopped walking and listened to that and likes it … then Umar came to the Prophet (p) and read some parts of that for him; At this time the color of the Prophet's face changed out of anger. Then a man from Ansār told him: May your mother mourn for you! Don't you see the face of Rasulallah (s.a.w.) while you are reading this book? Then the Prophet (s.a.w.) said: verily I've been missioned as the conqueror (Fātih) and the last Prophet …
