Most iranian women wear chadors and/or hijab before revolution. Those who think some fashion magazine produced during shah era represent reality of Iranian women are either ignorant or stupid.

It's best to avoid the comments section of anything that has to do with Islam or Muslims, it will just break your heart. Plus I don't think it accurately projects the thoughts of most people, there are a lot of trolls and bots and trouble makers that are just trying to dissuade people from being open minded about Islam/Muslims.

I would say that about two third of Iranian women show some kind of hair that the hijab doesn't cover. As far as I understand the amount of hair visible is a statement as to how liberal they want to appear. The more hair shown, the more liberal. So some has just the back of the head covered and a small minority just pretend that the scarf just fell down on the shoulders showing all of the hair. If the police approach them about it they would just lift the scarf up on the head and apologize. It doesn't seam like there are any repercussions for that at the moment. One Iranian man I talked to thought that the hijab law will be abolished soon. I have no idea if he was right about that.

About the protesters I think it is a minority. I didn't see any protests like what was shown in the video, but there is clearly a segment of Iranian women who doesn't want to wear it. How many would drop the hijab if the law was abolished I don't know. Possibly a majority of those who show some hair, but I think there are other factors beside the law why women would wear headscarf. There are still those who would do it for religious reasons as well as courtesy and decency.

I can't say that I know how people dressed prior to the revolution. I think that most of the pictures in the video has been taken from fashion magazines and the likes of that. They may represent a segment of the pre-revolution society who tried to live up to that type of magazines, but I would doubt that every Iranian woman dressed like that. So I definitely think that the video has an agenda to portray the Islamic republic of Iran in (what is for an western audience) negative light.

Also honnestly pictures he used for show how women were "dressed" before Islamic revolution.... I don't know if he is a liar or if he is just stupid but this is surely one of them.

    As salaamun aleikum,
Please be aware, there are Shah-era images in this. I really wish they hadnt chose such a horrible picture for the cover of the video. If MODS take it down, I wont bre suprised. My intent is not to spread immorality., rather, it is to ecpose the false propaganda and anti-Islam agenda that is spreading fiercly.

Curious what others, especially Iranians, think about this...
I suspect it is a small minority thst is beig overly exposed media wise to make it appear to be a "large movement", as if a big portion of the country is turning against Islam/laws regarding morality...
The comments at the bottom are appalling, cringy, uneducated, bigoted and full of ignorance, but thats just the way the majority dunya thinks, I suppose.

Men are the support of women as God gives some more means than others, and because they spend of their wealth (to provide for them). So women who are virtuous are obedient to God and guard the hidden as God has guarded it. As for women you feel are averse, talk to them suasively; then leave them alone in bed (without molesting them) and go to bed with them (when they are willing). If they open out to you, do not seek an excuse for blaming them. Surely God is sublime and great. (4:34)

Everything in Islam sit well with me.
When you understand and are able to act from right action, morality is no longer necessary. It’s instantly obsolete and discarded. Right action has nothing to do with right or wrong, good or evil, naughty or nice. It is without altruism or compassion. Morality is the set of rules and regulations that you use to navigate through life when you’re still trying to steer your ship rather than let it follow the flow.

There is a great thread about offensive jihad. But it raised a bigger question do we let the Qur'an speak. Or do we try to retrofit our own beliefs to it.
    Eg
I grew up in western Europe. I'm a product of my environment.
Topics such as slavery, striking wives, khizr killing children will never sit well with me but I accept my limitations and acknowledge Allah knows best.
My question are there things in Islam that just don't sit well with you, but you nevertheless accept ?

I always read how James was the true successor, founder of the Nazarene Church of Jerusalem (a more "Jewish" Christianity which still kept the Law), as opposed to the Gentile church of Peter and Paul, which would be Catholicism.
James as founder of the Jerusalem church makes a lot more sense, as Peter founded the Church in Rome and preached to Gentiles, which Prophet Eesa (عليه السلام) didn't do - he was sent specifically to Bani Israel, not universal like Prophet Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)
Although an Ismaili site, this is probably more accurate:
    https://ismailignosis.com/2019/01/25/the-imamat-of-james-brother-of-jesus-successor-of-christ-leader-of-early-christianity/

Also the wikishia link you posted mentions at the end why the narration has not been universally accepted among Shia scholars.

My understanding is that in a situation where two extreme introverts marry, it would be very easy for them to grow apart. On the other hand, many problems can arise if an extreme introvert and an extreme extrovert marry each other. So, in my opinion, (all else being equal) it would be best for an extreme introvert to marry someone in the middle of the spectrum; and likewise with the extreme extrovert.

Interesting perspective. Although I'm an extroverted, I'm not very outgoing. And when talking to potentials, this is often a barrier -- they want to be on their feet all day, flying around the world every couple months, taking road trips. I simply don't care much for all of that. My extroversion is expressed by being warm, communicative, friendly, talking to family, seeing friends for coffee/dinner, talking on the phone, blogging, etc.

    As salaamun aleikum,
Personally, its exhausting and stressfull. I already have too many demands outside of my marriage that drain me of my life force and soul, and the LAST thing I want to do is to go to 10 places on the few days I am not overwhelmed with my other responsinilities, but I relent...and I go...and at times I end up in a "negative grouchy" mood simply cuz I don’t like being out and around in society in general, basically cuz I can’t stand being bombarded by the immorality everywhere, the constant blasting of music in practically every store we go to, and EVEN AT THE GAS STATIONS NOW Im just not a people person, nor do I like the inevitable and unavoidable nuances that accompany being around tons of people..I mean, how COULD I? Im barely able to keep my head above water after dealing with my family for 3 days.
Anyway, im an extreme introvert, I like nothing better than staying in and reading or studying, but my husband HAS to get out at everyday, even on days im exhausted, so I go...cuz I think its the right thing to do.
My idea of going out, is to run to the hills, mountains, country, go hiking and GET AWAY from all the chaos but...we don’t do that cuz hes sure mountain lions are lurking behind every single tree, bush, or blade of grass and we will end up slaughtered, so....thats just not an option for us.
People need to definetly find out how much "alone"  time each other needs, as well as what each others ideas of "going out" consists of. Otherwise, you could be in for some extra unnecessary stress in life if youre not able to find a way to balance things.
This is a relatively small issue, and not a deal breaker, im just showing that there can definetly be some form of conflict when merging these 2 opposite personality types. It really comes down to finding the balance of mutual sacrifice and compromise, if the couple is able to do so. In all honesty, some don’t have the patience or maturity to do it...
    Just keeping it real.
