    As salaamun aleikum sister,
SubhanAllah, sister! Wow! Thanks so much for sharing this information with us and in such a simple to understand manner. I think this knowledhge has the potential to really help people to raise their level of behavior many notches higher. Sometimes just knowing whats going on and why we experience what we experience can help a person to change things about themselves for the better, and maybe even with less stress and hardship.
    Thanks again!

Another important factor is the “hit and run”, where an OP doesn’t respond beyond the initial post. If the member was sincere, there would be more back and forth, showing resolution and progress of the issue (through the Islamic suggestions of responders).
The key for these topics is to show there’s no solution, and that Muslims are helpless squabblers.

People sometimes wonder why there is conflict between Iraqis or amongst Pakistanis or within Iran.
These threads provide an excellent case study as to how a stranger can come within a community and set off internecine strife with one post. Now imagine what anti-Muslim forces can do at a national level.

I always had the idea and still have that there are hidden enemies. Some of them might be portraying themselves as friends for years but they are knowingly enemies. They can be volunteers and/or part of something bigger, I don't know.

My question is where are the quarries? Surely, large copious amounts of limestone had to come from somewhere and I am not convinced they were transported by water (The stones were half a ton to a ton in weight.)

Nice essay brother. I would add that science is limited not only in scope (i.e. it cannot discuss issues of morality, etc that you mentioned) but also depth. We don't know how deep into the "material world" it can penetrate, or what that even means as our definition of the material world keeps changing. It is also cannot into penetrate into the realm of the ghayb, whereas human consciousness, if Allah Wills, can do so to varying degrees. It is for this reason that the saints can see or hear things others cannot, but science cannot grasp such things.

Brother this is not accurate. Islam is the fastest growing religion by birth for which there is an abundance of evidence because virtually every country keeps records of its birth rates and a rough estimate of its religious demographics which are mostly accurate. This is something for which the empirical evidence is overwhelming. Just look at the rise in population in Muslim majority countries over the last 50 years, it's unbelievable. Islam is definitely growing, alhamdulillah.

The problem for the next generations will be defending it from the religion of secular humanism, which has in fact gripped the minds of Muslims to varying degrees and turned their mental conception of the world into one of kufr. The problem is that the ulema of the 60's recognized the kufr of communism because it declared open atheism, and they militantly opposed it. Although they recognize the philosophical problems of "the West" generally, there really has not been this militant and overt opposition to SECULAR HUMANISM which IS the religion of the modern world. The failure to name the phenomenon is, I think, in part why there has been such a lax response to what is easily a far bigger than anything else facing the ummah today. And it is coming in through soft power (cinema, news, etc.)

Brother @Qa'im, could you shed some light on this? I'm confused now. If Imam Ali was involved in organising the Muslims' army, this is basically like him being a part of an offensive war.

There's no doubt that there were offensive wars, but spreading the dominance of the Islamic caliphate's authority is not the same as spreading Islam by the sword. These wars were supported by Jews, Nestorians and Copts, and Muslims remained minorities in the heart of their own civilization for many centuries. There were certain societal pressures put in place that encouraged conversion (taxes, marriage laws, inheritance laws, economic and political opportunities for Muslims), but these conversions were very gradual. Even then, conversions in most cases were really just public declarations of faith, and then you entered the polis as an equal, regardless of religious or ethnic background. Of course there were legitimate grievances that dhimmis had throughout history, especially under the Almohads, but ancient Judaeo-Christian communities existed in large numbers in the Mideast up until the 20th century, while ancient Muslim communities in Spain, Portugal, France, Sicily, and elsewhere were decimated.

    nice post.
This is the system of the dajjal. He has infiltrated in almost every aspect of our lives. education, culture, medicine, agriculture.. all are comprimised. Did you know in USA and UK, if you own farmland the govt. pays you not to farm? slowly you are forced to eat what they give you. forced to be vaccinated with their chemicals and take their anti depressants. forced to be "ok" with homosexuals getting married and raising kids.

Yes thirstiness is a lack of life and knowledge, which are rooted in the wilaya of God and His representatives. Those who lack these essentials are described in the Quran as blind, deaf, dumb, and even dead. Those bound to hell take from the Tree of Zaqqum, which represents the Leaders of Disbelief, and that which they eat and drink in hell ends up burning them more. Consuming the teachings of the devil will only lead one to more destruction of the self and the society at large.

If war on offensive is not justified by Allah SWT, why Imam Ali a.s. involve in organising 'the Muslim Army' ?
If war on offensive is justified by Allah SWT, why Imam Ali a.s. only involve in organising 'the Muslim Army' ?
If what Imam Ali a.s. was doing ( organising 'the Muslim Army') is justified/not justified by Allah SWT, :
    a. what is the proof of Allah SWT's justification
    b. is Imam Ali a.s.'s power of faith to Allah SWT is lower/higher than the power of the will of the Muslim Army ?

@E.L King can you tell me why Imam Ali a.s. Got involved in those offensive wars? It's very common for Shia scholars and speakers that I've heard to say that Imam Ali a.s. didn't participate in these wars, and was only a judge, or took care of administrative side of things. Thanks.

I am glad that you shared this thought.

I was always told that I should find what I am good at that makes money, and do that. That's a nice sentiment for people who are "normal", capable, and are happy with "playing the game" so to speak-- I am not one of them. I have a learning disability, poor memory for anything that does not naturally fascinate me, and I have never been one who is able to "play the game" with teachers, supervisors, etc (I was released from two jobs this past year because I refused to turn a blind eye to illegal conduct that superiors were deeply involved with). I cannot ever seem to really hold a secure job and when I do, I do not make enough money to live independent from my mother (I am 30 years old as of this post). I have some college, but cannot graduate because my learning disability prevents me from being able to pass the math couses I need for an associates as they are structured. My work history exists, but I do not have references as I have lost contact with those I previously worked with.

I am casually teaching myself to design and create a video game, I am a decent writer and like the *idea* of writing but never am able to follow through and really produce any content that I could earn with. Cleaning natural areas and serving the poor are activities I also have been apt to engage in when the opportunity presents itself. The main problem I have is that I have been born into an age wherein I am incapable of finding the time to hold a job and really dedicate myself to these four pursits, as the current societal ideal seems to be that employees are no longer selling their labor to an employer, but that they are more akin to property who should smile and continually lavish praise upon those who work them for low wages with no benefits at all. This is why I have struggled for so long to find a means to maintain employment and feel like my life has a valid purpose other than being a gear in someone else's wealth generator. Sometimes I honestly weigh the pros and cons of homelessness.

If I haven't tried it, how would I find purpose in it? I have a crippling fear of failure and the ensuing shame from proving myself less capable than others (most of this is due to my estranged father & his psychopathy/narcissism). I have spent over a decade across many different employers in two industries I absolutely loathe due to my aversion for dealing with the public: food & retail.

I'm not really sure what it is that I want, but I know for a fact that whatever it is has to be minimally stressful as well as engaging.

Purpose of life is to do best of deeds (Le yabluwakum ayyukum ahsano amala). The examples of the best are already set for us.
There can be many ways to do something. Identifying & adopting the best possible way is our task and we are on test in this limited worldly life.
The purpose of "my life" is a difficult question but I have tried to answer this question with the help of Al-Furqan i.e., every action of mine should be for Allah (s.w.t) . Goal for me is that my smile, my anger, my friendship, my love, my sacrifices, my relationships, my prayers, my whole life & death should be "Lillahe Rabbul Aalimeen".
