As far as I know we should never depict pictures of the holy Prophet(S) as it does not do him justice, I ask for the mods to please hide the picture.
I also do not understand why people depict the holy Imams(as).

Talking from the point of Karbala, we adhere to namaz not because of yazid and his followers but because Imam Hussain (a.s) did not let even one namaz go qadha even on the day of Ashura. He was slaughtered by shimr (LA) in a state of sajda.
Just reminding you, five time salat daily is wajib.

Yes it is because the Bible literally says different in what they say verses. In a literal sense the Bible has been changed. Quran says same thing in the verses, different translations may use slightly different words that still narrate the exact same thing whereas these actual different versions of the Bible have different narrations of the same story. Significant changes to verses, whereas the Quran has the same narrations. That is there King James version or International version, etc.

Gospel of John chapter 16 verse 7:

"Nevertheless I tell you the truth; it is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not
come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you".
"Ahmed" or "Muhammad" meaning "the one who praises" or "the praised one" is almost the translation of the
Greek word Periclytos. In the Gospel of John 14:16, 15:26, and 16:7. The word 'Comforter' is used in the English      translation for the Greek word Paracletos which means advocate or a kind friend rather than a comforter.
Paracletos is the warped reading for Periclytos. Jesus (pbuh) actually prophesised Ahmed by name. Even the
Greek word Paraclete refers to the Prophet (pbuh) who is a mercy for all creatures.
Some Christians say that the Comforter mentioned in these prophecies refers to the Holy Sprit. They fail to realise
that the prophecy clearly says that only if Jesus (pbuh) departs will the Comforter come. The Bible states that the
Holy Spirit was already present on earth before and during the time of Jesus (pbuh), in the womb of Elizabeth, and    again when Jesus (pbuh) was being baptised, etc. Hence this prophecy refers to none other than Prophet
    Muhammad (pbuh).

@Son of Placid. May I ask what type of Christian you are? Are you Jehovahs witness? A Catholic? Christianity has hundreds of denominations within it and they have different practices as well as different Bibles. The difference with Islam an our sects is that we all share the Quran with the same Verses and Surahs but we have different interpretations to the meanings of those verses so how can you know which sect of Christianity is the right way when you all have different Bibles? For example the King James Version of the Bible. King James narrates some pretty harsh verses concerning women given the fact that he himself despised women and his version is on of the most trusted, the most recognized. Most importantly, what authority did he have in the first place to narrate the Bible?

Waalikum assalam, I love your post. I suggest that we must recite some duas together, I mean lets pray for his arrival one hundred thousand times...I listened to a scholar, he said that you must try to pray for Imam's ajtf arrival 24 hours a day, someone asked how is this possible to for a person to pray 24 hours a day ? He said that gather as many people as you can and make a time table like schedule...means distribute time among your selves and pray for His arrival. Distribute 24 hours over the number of people you have and pray accordingly. If you are praying for fifteen minutes, next person will pray for the next fifteen minutes. At least you can give fifteen minutes a day for your Imam ajtf. Gather as many people as you can who are willing to pray and each person will have to pray for a very short period of time.  And by this method, you can pray for his arrival in all 24 hours, because every day have some special moments, when Allah accepts your dua.
I think we can have that much people here on SC.

zahra kazmi reacted to SYEDRAZAALI in Birthdays gift for Imam e Zamana a.t.f.s.
Tonight is a very special night for each and every shian haider e karraar. Tonight our 12th imam was born. So as a follower it is our duty to present something as a gift to Bibi Nargis Khatoon a.s. ( Mother of our 12th imam), Imam Hasan Askari a.s. (Father of our 12th Imam) and Imam Zamana a.t.f.s.
The question is that what and how can we present our gifts to them? Gifts can be any good deed done for the happiness of Allah and Alhulbayt a.s. But today lets do something different. Lets just ask forgiveness to those whom we have hurted be words or deeds or thoughts. So lets just say this sentence to each and every person whom we know.
"If I have caused you offence in any way knowingly or unknowingly, in thought, word or deed. Then I seek your forgiveness."
May Allah and Alhulbayt a.s. accept this good deed and be pleased by our act.
    Jazakallah khair.

waalikum Assalam, I once tried that self accounting process, but it got boring (to be honest.)  Now I focus on my deeds, like when I am doing something, I know whether its right or wrong...so I try to avoid a bad thing. But I'd love to have an advice or suggestion on how to improve my personality...?

zahra kazmi reacted to Haji 2003 in please suggest a topic for literature review.
Given the impact of time constraints, I'd say prior knowledge is a big factor. So even though I know nothing about this field, I would guess you should:
    1. make a list of books/genres etc. that you are familiar with
    2. then identify/list what 'issues' are associated with these
    3. focus on those in (2) which resonate the most with you and for which there appears to be a reasonable balance between existing literary criticism (so you have something to go on) and the field having been exhausted (more difficult for you to find something new to say).
Oh and if it is possible take a look at what has been done previously in your institution, not to plagiarise, but to see what the required standard/style is like.

If you can and have the time, gift the fatiha 100x upon  the Prophet pbuh, Imam Hussain (as) and the entire Ahlulbayt. You  can also give  Charity,  make duas, help your family, or learn more about his history and try to develop a characteristic that Imam Hussain (as) had mastered.

Migraine has its own medicine and does not only include the usual pain killers. You should see a specialist doctor (neurologist) and get the proper medicine. They will also tell you about the triggers. It is also important to see a neurologist because sometimes the onset of a stroke has almost the same symptoms as a migraine.
