  1. (bismillah) (salam) As Muslims, we must believe in every single verse of the Quran. Not believing in even a single verse isn't something that a Muslim should do. It would be a grave sin. Jinn have been mentioned in the Quran e.g. Surah An-Naas & Surah Ar-Rahmaan etc. There is a complete surah named Surah Al-Jinn. Jinns are also mentioned in ahadees. If you still don't believe in their existence then, you will be committing a sin. Your well-wisher in Islaam, Shees.
  2. (bismillah) (salam) Let me try to help you. Read this: A major problem with this world is that no matter which words you use you can't express your true feelings to a person. The other person can hear and see you and then that person's brain processes and tries to understand or judge how you might be feeling. But, you can't transfer an exact copy of your emotions and feelings to that person. In the entire universe, not a single being understands you. When you are in pain, not a single being in the entire universe feels that pain. Others might feel sad. I'm not saying people are bad it's about the fact that they don't exactly feel how you feel. But, Allah does! Allah is closer to you than your jugular vein and He loves you more than a mother. If He doesn't love us then why did/does He:1.) Create such a beautiful universe? 2.) Provide us sustenance (rizq) despite of us being so sinful?3.) Ignore most of our sins and give us the time to repent?4.) Not immediately punish us?5.) Not ask for any payment despite of Him doing so much? (i.e. runing the entire universe's system)6.) Create Paradise, an everlasting place of joy without any disease, problem or even the slightest discomfort?7.) Order us to not lose hope even if our sins were to reach the clouds?8.) Grant us such lovely gifts like children, fathers, mothers, siblings and spouses whom we can talk to, share our feelings with and find tranquility? Try to comprehend a bit. Look at the beautiful stars, the beautiful rising & setting sun, so many beautiful aromatic plants and amazing birds and animals. Nature is so beautiful that you just wanna say "Nature is amazing!" and "WOW! Look at that rainbow!". Why did Allah made these things to look beautiful? He could have made them to look ugly? Answer: Because Allah loves you! And so that you look at them, be amazed and say "Subhan Allah!" (Glory be to Allah!) and thus commit a good deed that would bring you closer to an even more beautiful destination, Paradise! Do we even appreciate Allah when He is making our hearts beat all the time even when we are asleep or when we are sinning? Does Allah ask for the payment of it? How many times have we breathed since we were born? Does Allah ask for any payment? Even if you don't thank Allah for these things, he still loves you and stays ready to forgive you if you truly seek His forgiveness and keeps providing you sustenance (rizq). Try reading Surah Ar-Rahmaan. When you are alone, let all those tears burst out. Allah knows your feelings and your heart inside and out. Why is "Al-Waduuduu" (The Loving One) among Allah's 99 names that describe His attributes? Al-Tirmidhi Hadith 2339 Narrated by Abu Sa'idAllah's Messenger (saws) said that the Shaitaan said, "By Thy Might, my Lord, I shall continue to lead Thy servants astray as long as their spirits are in their bodies!" The Lord, Who is Great and Glorious, replied, "By My Might, Glory and Exalted Station, I shall continue to pardon them as long as they ask My forgiveness!" Hadith Qudsi: Allah, the Almighty, has said:O Son of Adam, so long as you call upon Me and ask of Me, I shall forgive you for what you have done, and I shall not mind. O Son of Adam, were your sins to reach the clouds of the sky and were you then to ask forgiveness of Me, I would forgive you. O Son of Adam, were you to come to Me with sins as great as the earth, and were you then to face Me ascribing no partners to Me, I would bring you forgiveness nearly as great as it. ^ How can someone say these things without love? How? No matter how troubled you are, call out for Allah and be assured that He listened to you more carefully than anyone else in the universe and He knows exactly how you feel. In your every heart beat, in your every breath, in every morsel you eat, in every things you see with your eyes, every sound you hear and everything, there lies the love of Allah! Allah makes your heart beat. Allah grants you the power to breathe, eat, look and why would someone do this much for someone if he doesn't love that person? Share all your emotions with Allah! Your well-wisher in Islaam, Shees.
  3. (bismillah) (salam) Dear brother, The Holy Prophet (pbuh) repented so much despite of not committing sins and being the closest to Allah. Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said in a hadith: “O mankind! Do Tawbah (repent) to Allah and seek His forgiveness, for surely, I (pbuh) do so 100 times every single day.” (Saheeh Muslim) - See more at: http://www.quranreading.com/blog/how-to-repent-on-your-sins/#sthash.1NfX0Lam.dpuf We should keep repenting. And Allah knows best.Your well wisher in Islam, Shees.
  4. (bismillah) (salam) Depression is a worldwide problem and one should seek the cure because Allah has made a cure for every disease. Doctors might prescribe anti-depressant. By the way, when it comes to depression, Islam plays an important role. Allah's remembrance provides peace to the heart but some people are so busy in daily life and even when they do worship (do ibaadat of) Allah, they only do it verbally with weak faith (imaan) while thinking of other things, without showing humility to Allah and not concentrating and believing in Allah. Try this: 1.) Sit alone in a quiet place with your eyes closed. 2.) Temporarily forget all other things and concentrate solely on Allah. 3.) Recite any Surah you want "slowly" one verse after another. When you recite one verse, stop! 4.) Think of the meaning. 5.) Suppliacte/pray (make dua) and repent afterwards. One must remain patient during even the greatest calamities. "Indeed, with hardship [will be] ease." Quran 94:6 (Surah Ash-Sharh). Even if a person spends the entire life in calamities without peace after any calamity, his after life will be great. Patience and Asceticism are the two very important things taught to us by The 14 Infallibles (as). Supplicate /pray (Make Dua) to Allah and call upon Them (as) to pray for you. Read this: http://miraclesofthequran.com/scientific_56.html According to a research by David B. Larson, of the American National Health Research Center, and his team, religious people suffer 60% less heart disease than those with little or no religious belief, the suicide rate among them is 100% lower, they suffer far lower levels of high blood pressure, and this ratio is 7:1 among smokers.
  5. Salaam! In the book "Greater Sins" by Ayatullah Sayyid Abd Al Husayn Dastghaib Shirazi, it is the 15th greatest sin among all sins. Read here: http://www.al-islam.org/greater-sins-volume-1-ayatullah-sayyid-abd-al-husayn-dastghayb-shirazi/fifteenth-greater-sin-music Hazrat Imam Jaffer Sadiq (as) said: "Music is the nest of hypocrisy.", "Music is the worst of the sounds.", "The place where music is performed, Allah does not look at its participants (with mercy)." & "Listening to music & vain (sounds) grows hypocrisy as the water grows the plants." Source: http://www.islamic-laws.com/musicanditseffect.htm This page also explains how dangerous music is for health. Dear brother, when you listen to music it kind of gets recorded in your mind and you are reminded of it often. Imagine if you are offering salaat and you get reminded of the music.... or during fasting, Hajj/Umrah or The Ziarat of a Masuum (as)! That would be a very bad thing.... Listen to the recitation of Quran & Name of Allah etc. They will have the opposite effect! You will be reminded of the recitation which is not a sin. You should recite The Quran in a melodious voice (but WITHOUT music for that would be a grave sin) and you should try to memorize, follow & understand it's verses (ayaat). Here are some beautiful recitations: 99 Names of Allah: http://playit.pk/watch?v=wBZkDMO6hDs Surah Rahmaan: http://playit.pk/watch?v=6WvHMNuhH3Y Surah Yaseen: http://tune.pk/video/77819/surah-yasinfull-shaikh-mishary-rashid-al-afasy Send salawaat on the 14 Masumeen (as) who taught us all this! And Allah knows best. Your well wisher in Islaam, Shees.
  6. Assalamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuhu! I can't find a website that tells about the 2015 Lahore Shia Prayer Timings. Can anyone tell me? Also, I read that in Arabic it is "Duaad" not "Zuaad". But, many people say that Sunni's recite "Duaad" and Shias should say "Zuaad". What to do?
