  1. First of all, Welcome back to Islam :) Alhamdullilah you found your way back to Allah SWT. ^_^ I agree with Starlight, What ever Allah SWT has commanded us to do, definitely has a reason, a purpose, and a logic behind it, even though we may not understand what the reason is, Allah SWT does know. God SWT is the most Just. The reasons of following a Marja isn't that hard to comprehend, we follow a Marja because we need to know our religious obligations. Anti gay? Allah swt and our Imams(AS) forbade Homosexuality and Bisexuality because they involve being a puppet to your desires. 'Being' Gay is not haram. But acting upon it, is. These people just change our human nature and civilization. We are told to worry about Halal and Haram because Allah SWT wants us to be clean and have pure food in our bodies. Allah SWT always does something because He knows its good for us, and we know not. Since you are now back to Islam, I'll advise you to give yourself a new start inshaAllah, and know that whatever God does is for our OWN good. Massalama,
  2. You shouldn't hide it from your wife. She will consider you as wrong, if your happy and mashaAllah as you said, you have kids as well.. then why do you want another wife? If you do and are committed to getting a second wife, then don't hide it from your first wife because the truth will come out one day.
  3. All your answers were great! May Allah(swt) bless you all :)
  4. Salaam, My friend was asking me concerning the verse 9:5 of the Holy Quran, "Kill the disbelievers wherever you see them." And I've tried giving her all the justifications and meanings of this verse, but she is still not satisfied. Can I please know your reasonings for why this verse was revealed? Thanks,
  5. What else can you expect when you have a prime minister like Nawaz Sharif who's a wahhabi?

  8. I live in Toronto, Ontario and it's said that the eclipse will be visible in some parts according to this link http://www.huffingtonpost.ca/2015/03/19/supermoon-solar-eclipse-march-20-2015_n_6904082.html So do I have to pray Salat Ul Ayat?
  9. Since it'll be fatimiyya, I'll be going to majalis :)
  10. Yes I am mad. Why do people have to start the Tatbir thread again and again? They're so many threads made on this already. Some people support tatbir, others don't. Why not respect others choices, and why create disunity among Shias? If your disunited, how do you expect to be in the army of Imam Sahib Uz Zaman(AJTF)? I said before and I'll say again.. People have different ways of expressing their love for Imam Hussain(AS). If you don't want to do tatbir, DON'T. No one's forcing you to. And these threads haven't made any difference to the tatbir being practiced has it?
  11. So you are doubting God's mercy. For me, it is enough to believe in Allah(SWT)'s mercy because he hides so many of my sins. His infinite mercy is ever in the waiting to receive repentance from his offenders. He has made mercy incumbent on Himself (Surah al-An’aam, 6:12 and 6:54). He Himself enjoins upon the sinners to seek His pardon (Surah an-Nisaa, 4:106). He bestows His mercy on whomsoever He pleases, and also entitles him to rewards. He is such a merciful judge that He does not wait to punish but to pardon. Hence before the matter comes to be tried, He invites repentance and even encourages the sinners to make haste in seeking His pardon. He never wants any sinner to be dejected and go hopeless of His mercy. But, the pardon is granted only when it is asked in time. Allah says in the Holy Qur’an: “Say: ‘O My slaves who have transgressed against themselves (by committing evil deeds and sins)! Despair not of the Mercy of Allah, verily Allah forgives all sins. Truly, He is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.” Holy Qur’an [ Surah 39:Verse 53]
  12. Imam Ali (a) reports that a blind man asked permission to visit Lady Fatimah (a). Upon hearing this, Lady Fatimah covered herself. The Holy Prophet (s), in order to illustrate her (a) level of understanding and knowing too well what her (a) response would be, asked: ‘O Fatimah! Why are you observing hijab when this man is unable to see you?’ She (a) replied: ‘He cannot see me but I can see him and he can smell my fragrance.’ In response to her wisdom, the Prophet (s) said: ‘I bear witness that you are part of me.’ Please don't 'lol' at the hijab. You'll regret it.
