  1. Our lodestar is animosity to the Ahle-Bayt. Any person who exhibited any animosity to the Ahle-Bayt is a mal'aoon in my book. Simple, and understandable, isn;t it?

  3. Baita you've captured the inhumanity and the insane cycnicism of tose with chilling effect. I myself did a few lines on the killing fields of Karachi inthose. If I find them somewhere I'll post them here . . . just to prove that I do not pen empty praise . . . jeetee raho ... aur Allah karey zore bayaan aur ziyadah
  4. Couldn't agree more with all the opinions expressed. May the One who is the subject of your poem look in benevolence upon you.
  5. Unity is always for something, and concuurently against something. What is your case? unity against what? For what?
  6. Invoking l'aanat upon those who rebel aganst Allah or those appointed by Allah is a clear requirement of Shi'i aqeedah. Unitists are free to draw their own conclusions. THat said, what is notable is how, from amongst the Shia, a fifth cplumn has been raised that open, flagrantly denounces all that differentiates the Shia from all tose profess Islam, either due to lack of guidance or sheer hypocricy. Those who come under the umbrella of lack of guidance are those born into "MUslim" families, brought up in teir ways, and have somegow not bee exposed to Sh'i dawah. The hyopcrites are folks who claim to be knowledgeable, yet oppose tabarra and the rituals of Azadari
  7. (salam) Inna lillahe wa inna alaihe raj'eoon
  8. Liberation always has tw aspects. In the temporal world, it does lea to loneliness. On the spiritual plane it leads one into communion with one's Creator. Ponder this my young friend . . .
  9. (salam) I heartily endorse your mtion about thanking sister Zeinab for ruining the thread. I also thin, that like me, peole have time heavy on their hands . . .
  10. (salam) Lahore kee sabb say khaas baat uss kaa unique kirdaar hai. Lahore dil waaloun kaa sheher hai. Mayn nay bohat arsah pehlay, yahaan hee kuchch chotay chotay qissay Lahoryoun kee dildaaree baaray arz kiye thay. Waqt saath naheen day rahaa warnaa dohraa daytaa yaa link daal daytaa. Abb bhee, puraanay sheher say baahar, jo baagh saaray shehr kay gird ghoomtaa hai, wahaan Lahore kay makhsoos mizaaj kee kuchch jhalyaan daikhee jaa sakktee hain . . . Pata naheen kyaa keh rahay ho bhaee . . . apni janam bhoomee ko koyee kyuon naa yaad karay gaa, taa aankeh apni paidaaesh peh sharmsaar naaho . . . Zaahir hai . . . sirf jannat waaloun kay liye jannat, jannat ho gee . . .
  11. (salam) I do wish you had had the time and freedom to complete whatever you had in mind. If what we have seen is any idea, we would certainly have been illmined by our Rawshni . . . Rawshan kartee rahee rahi hamaaray dil o damaagh baita . . . Allah taufeeq aur ajr day . .. Duaa gou Haazir
  12. (salam) Sibte Sahab is carrying on and keeping alive a glorious tradition nurtured by many illustrious sons of teh Shia faith in yesteryears. You seem to be a young man. Ask your elders if they knew of Professor Sayyed Faqir Hussain. The late Professor Sahab was a model of rectitude, and one of the finest logicians who adorned the majalis in Lahore and elsewhere. Also Allamah Syed Akbar Abbas Zaidi, who was the father of Syed Afsar Abbas Zaidi, a fantastic poet in the service of the Shia faith. Mirza Ahmad Ali Sahab, who was the moving spirit behind the Shia Young Men's Association, and the baani of The Hussainyah Hall in Chowk Nawab Sahab, as well as the originator of the Ziayrat-e-Imam Hasan on 28 Safar at Lahore. Rehan Azmi, let us not discuss. He's odious.
  13. (salam) Brother Abuzar What "Islamic" Revolution are you talking about? The only Islamic Revolution that we can recall is the one brought about Sarkaar-e-Risalat (pbuh) in the realms of ideas, akhlaaq, muamelat, and muaashrat. Wassalaam
  14. (salam) With the intercession of all those we hold able to intercede, your desire may be granted sooner than you may anticipate. That said - thispoem effected me more than either of the other two . . . I do not know why . . .
  15. (salam) There comes a time when doubts start manifesting themselves . . . it is not humanly possible for intelligently people not to begin doubting sooner or later. Wassalaam
  16. (salam) Being a woman helped there, I believe . . . cannot imagine a man coming up so finely tuned to the senistivities of a mother's feelings . . . Allah ajr day . . .
  17. (salam) Of course they were. Assuming the impossible for the sake of a discussion, even if thhey weren't any or all you say, they were still illegitimate rulers. That itself is fitnah, and fitnah is more severe than murder Haazirmoula
  18. (salam) Well and truly said, sister. Islam totally proscribes all discrimination, with piety being the sole yardstick for merit and reward. Wassalaam. Haazirmoula
  19. (salam) Excellent exposition of a despicable mindset. Even though I have seen it before, I don't think voicing my appreciation here will hurt any one. Cyan my friend Western feminism has many shades and hues and they vary greatly in their ideological underpinnings, ranging from marxist to existentialist to post-modernist. One just has to look at the works of Freidan, de Bouvier, Greer, A Redstocking Sister, Phyllis Chessler, Diane Ashton, Heinz Marion, Ulla Hom, Patricia Mohammad, Katrina Mohanty, Kathleen Staudt etc. etc, to see how diverse and varied they are in their approach, methodology and epistemology too. What Rawshni is talking here isn't feminism exactly; what she is characterizing is a condition, an unjust condition, that prevails in most sub-continental homes. Since she has lived in country that is more than 90 per cent muslim, and calls itself islamic to boot, she has used Islamic diction to bring home things with telling effect. All the best Wassalaam Exactly. The relationship between the sexes should be goverened by the ordain of Allah, not by man-made [read that as mullah-made] precepts. Integration of women in the labour force is already underway in many muslim societies, and more will follow suit. It is a dictate of the times, and it does not in any way militate against divine ordain. The "Islamic" Republic of Iran is one country which has, in recent years made great strides towards encouraging women to work, and absorb them in productive economic activity.
  20. (salam) If one agreed with the other, voicing the agreement would have re-enforced the respect and confidence of the student. If either one diagreed with the other and kept quiet, a chance to remove misconceptions was let to go by. Even if it was desirable [and perhaps desired] to discuss the issues raised by the student in open debate in a formal setting, it should have been communicated to the student by either. Particularly, since it was a student with whom either teacher was on rather more than mere formal terms. Wassalaam
  21. (salam) Baita yeh tarjumah hai yaa unn khyaalaat kou Urdu mein dhaala gyaa hai? Agar m'aaloom naa hotaa keh engrezee pehlay likhaa gyaa thaa tou yeh apni jagah khud eik fee'l badeeh tehreer hai . . . jeetee raho
  22. (salam) Yaar, yeh daal rotee kaa dhandha hai in mullaon kaa. Yeh jaisey musulmaan banaatay hain aur khud inn kou Islam kaa kyaa aur kitnaa pata hai bohat wazeh hai hamm parr. Some of these jam'aats have served and are serving as recruiters and fronts for terrorists outfits.
  23. (salam) Exactly. What needs to be understood, and which, sadly, is most often not understood, is that Allah has NOT ordered most things as we order our affairs. Perhaps the story of teh ashaab-e-kahaf merits attention of the brother here.
