Very good points my dear brother.
Let me add one testimony from this famous shia narrator. Abu Basir himself testified that he was a liar.
as-Saduq in his “Maanil Akhbar” (p 165) narrated:
(Chain till) Abu Basir which said that he heard Abu Abdullah (alaihi salam) said: “The one who lies broke his fast”. (Abu Basir said) I said to him: “We have perished”. Imam said: “No I mean lie upon Allah AzWajal and upon the prophet (sallalahu alaihi wa alihi) and upon Imams (alaihuma salam).
Chain till Abu Basir is sound in accordance to shia standarts:
1-st narrator is father of Saduq – Ali ibn Al-Husayn ibn Babaweyh. Muhadith, faqih and shaykh as he was described by Noore.
2-nd one is Sad ibn Abdullah, he was shaykh of taifa as he described by Najashi.
3-rd one is Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Khalid, he was thiqah as said Hilli in “Hulasah”
4-th narrator Muhammad ibn Khalid al-Barqi was disputed. Hilli and Tusi praised him, and Najashi and ibn al-Ghadairi weakened him, as it is in “Hulasa”.
5-th is Ibn Abu Umayr, he was from companions of ijma, some shia scholars said that if chain authentic till them, report is upright.
Last one is Mansur ibn Yunus – thiqat and waqifi as it is in “Hulasah”
Brief discussion. Imam said that lie is breaking the fast. And one of the top shia narrators said after this – WE HAVE PERISHED. Sure he didn’t mean Imam, but he mean himself and his fellows. If this isn’t clear confession in lie, then what is?

when shia have been brought up into thinking they are the victim of takfiri groups and then found out that the foundation of shia belief is making takfir of others, of course it will be very uncomfortable @submitter71
as for other shia who already know this, to admit shia great scholars conform to madhab of takfir is not good for their image and political standing
janbiya got a reaction from AbbaJaan in Why didn't Fatima called for Hilful-Fudool?
should ask not just Fatimah ra, but why other inheritors didn't do that too? Why Fatimah ra gave sermon about a so called usurped land, but Ali ra did not do the same about so called usurped right? Ali ra let fatimah ra who shia belief was injured & beaten up instead of him doing all that on her behalf? It just doesn't make sense. I just can't picture Ali ra the great warrior and husband on the sideline.

that is exactly why shia like @Haimi is trying to deny it even though shia authentic report confirm the marriage did happen. He knows taqiya/force excuses just doesn't make sense for most shia and yet he still want to believe umar ra was evil

wa alaikum salam bro, the fact is for shia & sunni, there is no house burnt, no rib broken, no miscarriage incident at all. The reason i am saying this is sunni & shia have authentic reports which confirm ali ra gave his and fatimah ra's flesh and blood to umar ra for marriage. Shia who denied this will oppose several shia authentic reports, while shia who confirm this will say it was done out of taqiya or fear. Either way, this broken rib story has nothing to stand on except it will only portray ali ra in a very negative light. Forget sunni shia, just ask anyone, non muslim or atheist what do they think of a man who gave his daughter to another man who abuse his wife & killed his unborn child. You see what i mean?

what i don't understand is when shia use bravery, wisdom etc qualities as if sunni don't recognise him as one of the bravest, wise man alive. Reading shia stories about ali ra are more damaging to his image than sunni's story of him.
