In the name of God; the highest. ★ 3 LESSONS ★ ★ Imam Ali - "In everything there is a lesson to be learnt." Here is a short event from the life of Prophet Muhammad via which we learn a few important lessons. Around the end of his life the prophet and his coptic wife lady Maria were blessed with a child. This child was named Ibrahim and he bought immense happiness to the prophet's life but after about 1 year the child died and this made the prophet very sad, and the prophet was crying a lot. At this point one of the companions complained and said 'O muhammad you ask us to be patient, then why are you crying so much and showing impatience?. ' The prophet replied -"The heart is hurt so the eyes will cry , being patient does not mean that you will not express your emotions what it means is that you will not complain to God about the event which has taken place." Lesson 1-Its natural to feel happy n sad.True patience means accepting every decree of God, whether good or bad. Holy Quran - " Surely God is with the patient". ☆ At that time an eclipse took place and seeing that the people of the city started saying - 'look even the skies are crying for the loss of prophet muhammad'.The prophet at once gathered the people and said -'The sun and the moon do not cry for anyone they only work as per God's command ,this is an eclipse and you must establish prayer'. Lesson 2- If the prophet wanted he could have easily taken advantage of the people's ignorance and made all the people follow him, but he did not do that, God does not approve the famous rule-'Everything is fair in love and war' rather the rule of God is -'The end does not justify the means' ; so if we want to do a good work we cannot use unfair means to do that. Cheating people and then visiting holy places and doing charity has no benefit at all. ☆ After the burial when everyone was leaving the the prophet returned to the grave of his son and started placing the stones properly, the companions were surprised and asked him what was he doing, the prophet replied- 'When ever you do any job big or small you better do it properly.' ☆ Lesson 3- Quantity does not matter; quality does.Do one thing but give it your best shot. Martin Luther King- "If a man is called to be a street sweeper, he should sweep streets even as a Michaelangelo painted, or Beethoven composed music or Shakespeare wrote poetry. He should sweep streets so well that all the hosts of heaven and earth will pause to say, 'Here lived a great street sweeper who did his job well".. Holy Quran - "He (God) who created death and life-to test you-as to which of you is better in conduct. He is the Almighty, the Forgiving."(67:2) ( Ref for story of Prophet Mohammed is from the book -The MESSAGE by A Jafar Subhani, its available online its free and it is a very good book ).
In the name of God, the most Merciful. ★ THE PARENT ★ * All religions of the world have laid great emphasis on the rights of parents and the duties of children towards them. Hinduism-"Bishma said: The worship of mother, father and preceptor (teacher) is most important according to me. The man who attends to that duty here, succeeds in acquiring great fame and many regions of felicity." (No wonder the supreme leader of Iran Ali Khamenei attributes all his success to the fact that he abobdoned his studies to serve his father.) Christianity-Colossians 3:20: “Children, obey your parents in all things: for this is well pleasing unto the Lord.” According to Islamic teachings, to be obedient and to show kindness to parents has been enjoined in the Holy Quran in such a manner as to say that among the noble deeds, to obey parents, treat them respectfully and to show kindness to them is next to worshipping Almighty Allah. The Holy Quran says, "Your Lord has decreed that you worship none but Him, and that you be kind to parents. Whether one or both of them attain old age in thy life, say not to them a word of contempt, nor repel them, but address them in terms of honor." - Surah Al Isra (17:23) * No way can u pay them back-A man comes to the prophet n says I have a old mother, who cannot do anything on her own.I wash he n clean her n feed her. When she desires to visit the house of God I pick her up on my back and make her circumbulate the house of God.So have I fulfilled her right? The prophet replied "You still have not fulfilled the right of one movement which you did while u were in her stomach." (And we thought just by providing maintenence to our parents we have done great favours on them.) * Parents as means of forgiveness- Once a man walked up to Prophet Mohammed ( s ) and said that he was a great sinner and wanted to seek forgiveness for his sins, the prophet asked him Weather his parents were alive, he said his father was alive. The prophet told him to go n serve his father and God willingly his sins will b forgiven, as he left the prophet said "Only if his mother was alive"...(meaning serving the mother is a faster means of atonement of sins.) By the way this works the other way as well, hurting the parent as little as being dissatisfied with them brings down huge calamities. Imam Ali says that this world is place of action and all accounts will be settled on the day of judgment. ..but being unkind to parents is a sin which has double returns, Punishment in this world as well as the hereafter. * What about the most logical argument, that my parents r old n do actions which are wrong- A scholar beautifully replies he says "They (parents) could be wrong in their actions but no way should you be wrong in your reactions." * Lastly what if my parents are not alive- No problem, u still have a second innings to play.Do some charity n dedicate that reward towards your parents.I Ali says 'Charity repels the calamities of this world and the punishments of the hereafter.'
-In the name of God, the all merciful.- ★Advice on upbringing.★ Imam Ali ( a )-"Do not force your children to follow your ways and manners as their time is different than yours." 1200 ago Imam ali spoke about the generation gap. Times are moving v fast, and one has to keep up to the pace of the time he is living in. The imam is not telling us to abandon our principles and values.Principles are like mountains they are unmoveable.1000 years ago God was one and he is still one. 1000 years ago telling lies, stealing, being proud were bad n offensive traits, even now its the same. These are principles, what the imam is saying is that u change ur style, change the bottle but keep the same content .Prophet mohammed used to say "we prophets have been sent to speak to people as per level of their intellect." The famous Lebenese poet Khalil Gibran sums this entire message beautifully. . "Your children are not your children. They are sons and daughters of Life's longing for itself. They come through you but not from you.And though they are with you yet they belong not to you.You may give them your love but not your thoughts,For they have their own thoughts. You may house their bodies but not their souls,For thir souls dwell in the house of tomorrow, which you cannot visit, not even in your dreams. You may strive to be like them, but seek not to make them like you.For life goes not backward nor tarries with yesterday. You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth...
IN THE NAME OF GOD; THE ALL KNOWING. ★ 4 secrets of success ★ The famous western scholar Brian Tracey used to say that if you want success then you must copy the lifestyle of those who have already achieved success in their lives. Here are 4 secrets of success of Imam Jafar Sadiq, grandson of Prophet Muhammad ( s ). I Sadiq lived more than 1000 years ago and at that time established a university in Medina where more than 2000 students from different walks of life were taught various sciences. I Sadiq was a polymath,an astronomer, imam, Islamic scholar, Islamic theologian, writer, philosopher, physician, physicist and scientist. He is also reported to be the teacher of Imam Abu Hanifa (founder of sunni hanafi school), also the famous chemist Jābir ibn Hayyān(latin Geber) benifitted from his knowledge. Once a man comes of I Sadiq n asked :How did you achieve this success? The imam replied there r 4 reasons- 1. "I always knew that what is destined for me none can snatch it away, so I was never greedy for anything". Imam Ali used to say 'Greed is perpetual slavery'...The architect od Indian freedom Mahatma Gandhi says 'There is enough in this world for people's need, but never enough for their greed'. 2.Then the imam said -"I always knew that what is my responsibility is mine n none other can do it for me so I always executed my responsibilities"..only if each of us could own up for our responsibilities then this world surely would be a better place.A sign of a man of success is that he always does his own work n does not rely on others, rather others r always in need of him. 3."I always knew death is arodund the corner, so I was well prepared".. Procrastination is a giant killer, successful people always do things at the prime time, Abrahim Lincoln says 'leave nothing for tomorrow which can be done today'. 4.Lastly the imam said -"I always knew God is watching me all the time."...most of us think God only works 9-5 or on weekends his office is shut so we end up doing every act which is contrary to human intellect. Holy Quran-"God will not change your condition, unless you change what is within you". (13:11) Thanks n always help the needy.
