  1. I stayed at my neighbours a lot as a kid and they told me that if I ran around the house with one shoe or sock on, that it would please the devil
  2. Yes, if im in the same cityas my family then we have a little gathering, balloons, banners, cakes and gifts. I try to make them special for my loved ones too (any excuse for cake tbh)
  3. I think they're obnoxious, shallow/materialistic and just a little stupid if I'm honest...
  4. I am a sister and honestly can relate to this post so much. I'm a revert and going to the office gives me anxiety! When guys ask you out to lunch or coffee etc its so annoying to the point im thinking about leaving the UK and moving to Dubai!
  5. Salaam brother Inshallah you are well. There's a great little place on woodside place in Glasgow, it's in the west end, they have regular meetings, programmes and events. I'm a revert sister and used to live there, it helped me feel a part of the community. Hope this helps!
  6. Salaam sister, you're more than welcome to message me too! Always good to have a support network
  7. Hi I'm interested in this, I'm based in the UK and recent revert, so definitely not a scholar! Please message me with more info Thanks, Hannah

I could be better, thanks for asking. I am also a revert as well.

  9. Salaam, They work great in Iranian food- Ghormeh Sabzi, Gheymeh and other things that are stewed for a long time and need a savoury/tangy kick. To get the flavour out of whole ones you should rinse them, make cuts on them about three times and soak them in water for 10 minutes- put them in your pot in the last 15 minutes (you should use about 3 in a normal sized pot; 500g meat etc). For powder use a heaped teaspoon. Hope this helps, I've been married to an Iranian for sometime and have learnt through trial and error, good luck!
  10. Jazakallah! I only do it because I was lucky to be guided by Allah, he put me on the straight road by following our beautiful ahlulbayt! It's the least I can do, but thanks, it still makes me smile
