  1. (salam) As stated in the title... i reallllllllllllly would want to listen to this audio that i heard very very long ago. Unfortunately the site that had it.. is now down. www.allahlovesu.com I remember that it was by Tabatabai.... not sure if it was THE Allamah Tabatabai... or not. In essence it was the recitation of the names of Allah (swt).. and whenever he would recite one.. the whole crowd would repeat 'YA Allah' after him.... towards the end of the recording... the whole crowd was crying uncontrollably. It was truly moving. There were no musical instruments used whatsoever... just pure melodius recitation with the involvement of the whole crowd. if ANYONE has this audio... please do mail me at : the.voiceless.voice@gmail.com I would really really appreciate it... . Jazak Allah TSC.
  2. I hope you're right. May Allah (swt) protect him and keep him safe. Elahi Ameen.
  3. (salam) I just found this article. Was wondering whether there was any confirmation of this from anywhere else? http://www.dnaindia.com/report.asp?NewsID=1041980 JERUSALEM: The head of Lebanon's Hizbollah Shiite Muslim movement, the target of Israel's massive onslaught against the country, has been injured in an air strike, Israeli television reported on Sunday. "Hassan Nasrallah was wounded during an air raid by Israeli forces on Beirut," Israeli private television reported without giving details. There was no immediate reaction from Hizbollah. Israel has carried out relentless air strikes against Hizbollah targets in Lebanon over four days, including Nasrallah's headquarters in the Shiite-dominated southern suburbs of Beirut which was destroyed on Saturday. There has so far been no word on whether the 45-year-old Nasrallah -- who defiantly declared "open war" on Israel on Friday -- was inside the nine-storey building at the time of the strikes. Israeli government ministers have made no bones about their desire to see the Hezbollah leader eliminated. "He can benefit from no immunity. We will wipe him out at the first opportunity. That's why he had better pray to Allah," Zeev Boim, minister for immigration and an ally of Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, said on Saturday.
  4. (salam) Brothers and Sisters.. you will probably feel that this is a 'conspiracy theory'... however, have a read what this site 'predicts'. It's really quite possible. http://www.total411.info/2006/07/israel-ma...e-flag-war.html
  5. (salam) I have done Hijaamah here in the U.A.E a few times and i feel that it does help. It gets rid of the 'bad' blood (or that's what is said:)) If anyone wants the address in sharjah, PM me, and i will let you know. It's a German Physio who is a revert to Islam, who does it and is quite experienced. Like with all medicinal practises, don't expect immediate results though... it's a continuous process, and Insha Allah it will contribute towards a healthy life.
  6. As most of you know, there are a lot of 'hate' sites on the internet, and it seems that people of various religions are being influenced by them. These people usually take Quranic verses out of context (or literally) in hopes of proving that Islam is not a religion of peace at all, but rather one that promotes killing of non believers and so on and so forth. I think most of you know what i am going on about. I was just wondering if any of you had access to a site, which had explained these verses by putting them in the right context and thus giving the 'muslim point of view' on them. Also, need the verses in the Quran (that you have knowledge of) which show that we are a religion of peace and tolerance. I believe that there is also one whereby it states that we have to protect their places of worship and so on. I would GREATLY appreciate any/all information that you could forward to me in this regard, so that i can forward it on. May Allah (swt) reward you for any/all help that you forward in promoting the TRUE message of Islam. Elahi Ameen. With Duas and Salaams,

  8. ANI LONDON: Ever since he betrayed Jesus Christ to the Roman soldiers for a 30 pieces of silver, Judas Iscariot’s name has been synonymous with the word ‘traitor’. However, a startling new discovery of Judas’ 1,600 year old gospel shows that he was not only Christ’s favourite disciple, but also that Jesus ordered Judas to betray him. The Gospel of Judas, a crumbling, papyrus document which has taken scholars five years to piece together and translate from Coptic, was discovered in the Egyptian desert in the late 1970s, but failed to come to light because dealers didn’t recognise its value and stored it in a New York vault was recently launched in Washington by the National Geographic Society. And though carbon-dating has shown that it was written in the 4th century AD, long after the New Testament gospels, experts are confident that it has been translated from a Greek test written in the 2nd century AD. The Gospel of Judas, which is sure to spark a religious debate, portrays him as Christ’s confidante and friend, who turned him over to the authorities after Jesus asked him to. It also omits any reference to the Garden of Gethsemane, the 30 pieces of silver, but also the crucifixion or the Resurrection. In a key phrase Jesus tells Judas that he will exceed all his other disciples, for he will be the one who will sacrifice the man in him, so that he can take his place at his father’s side in heaven. “But you will exceed all of them. For you will sacrifice the man that clothes me,” the Telegraph quoted the Gospel of Judas, as saying. However, not all scholars believe that this is Judas’ gospel, and consider it to be the work by a minor sect which had no links with the historical Jesus. Simon Gathercole, a New Testament expert from Aberdeen University, said that though the text was ancient, it was not old enough to dismiss any doubts that it was written by Judas. “It is certainly an ancient text, but not ancient enough to tell us anything new. It contains themes which are alien to the first-century world of Jesus and Judas, but which became popular later,” he said.
  9. (salam) I have come on after a while, to see this news. I didn't know brother Ali but the first thoughts that came to my mind were... subhan Allah what a lucky brother... to have visited Syeda Zainab (as) a few days before his calling, and also to have SOOO MANY people (on the internet) who speak so highly of him and are praying for him. Truly he is a lucky person. May Allah (swt) grant him (and sister sakina) the intercession of the Ahlul Bayt (as) and secure him a place in Jannat. Elahi Ameen. I pray the same for all those brothers/sisters who have passed away, and those of us who are waiting for our time to come. May Allah (swt) take our souls, only when he is pleased with us. Elahi Ameen.
  10. Well, sister, It seems that he makes the case that the govt is 'corrupt' and has 'blood on their hands' (especially of 'intellectuals')....that kind of govt could make anything happen. Anyways, khair insha Allah.
  11. Not too sure about this... But isn't he supposed to get the death penalty only if he 'converted' whilst in Afghanistan itself, and also went against the country (i.e. treason?) If someone could clarify, would appreciate it.
  12. Don't know much about the history there, but just a question pops into my mind... if the govt was so 'guilty'... would they have released him to further write against them?
  13. (salam) May Allah (swt) make the faces of those who committed this abominable act manifest, so that we can stop throwing blame/accusing those who are perhaps innocent. With all due respect to the other brothers/sisters, i think one of the most productive posts was made by sister widaad, and i thought that i would highlight a bit more, so that Insha Allah the admins can start organizing something. The post is below: The moment is right... RIGHT NOW.
  14. Thanks a bunch Satyam. Sorry haven't been able to reply. I need to read up more about 'the other side' and if you don't mind, i will PM you questions to pick your brain with. However, it will take me a while to do that... coz i am terribly busy at present. Mazlum, your posts were not only infantile, they were also very offensive and insulting. If you don't agree with what is being posted... refute it. Simple as. I am an Indian, and am very ashamed about being ignorant about our history... but i tell you one thing.. regardless.. i am a VERY VERY PROUD INDIAN!!!! I am not going to retaliate to what you said, coz I assume that you are young as your posts (in this thread atleast) don't indicate 'maturity', so i will give you a piece of advice as an 'elder'... if you don't have anything constructive to say.. dont' say it... you might end up hurting someone's feelings, and creating fitnah and animosity.. which surely isn't good. Thanks once again Satyam for taking the time out for providing the info.
  15. Rezz, In your signature you have the following : "Why do you only read the Quranic verses of mercy and do not read the verses of killing? Quran says; kill, imprison! Why are you only clinging to the part that talks about mercy? Mercy is against God." Ruhollah Khomeini, Speech in celebration of Muhammad (1981) If you don't mind me asking.. where exactly did you get that from? Could you perhaps provide a link?
