  1. I used "Rainbow Light" prenatal vitamins. I bought them at Whole Foods Market, but they can be found at many natural food stores. These are a food based vitamin and easier to digest because your body treats it like food.
  2. (salam) Where can i find information about circumcision being wajib? Also, how is being circumcised a requirement for hajj? I have never heard this. Is a man's genitals examined before he is allowed to make hajj?!?!
  3. (salam) You have to use caution. Making the child feel that what they are doing is "dirty" or "sinful" could possibly create some sexual problems for them. I think finding a nice, calm way to approach the matter and explain to them that this is something that you do with your spouse when you are married. Rather than making them feel like they are the worse person on the planet. What you say or do not say to children can affect them for a lifetime if you are not careful.
  4. (salam) Totally. She needs psychological help...this behavior is sickening.
  5. (salam) nothing. I know plenty of people who have done it, and they are safe.
  6. (salam) I am not sure what is available online. Perhaps google his name read through what comes up. He is the Imam of Masjid al-Islam in Washington DC. I think he travels to Oakland as well and spends time at a masjid there too.
  7. (salam) Check out Abdul Alim Musa. He has some pretty bold speeches!
  8. salaam alaikum, holy moly! well, certainly you have to be careful about asking people if they lost $2000! perhaps post a sign about it at the masjid saying to speak to such and such if you lost money. let the person say the amount they lost and perhaps ask them to bring proof with them that it is theirs.
  9. (salam) Thanks for your replys. I just came across this hadith one day and i could not find what hadith collection it came from. I have hear people say that your prayer are not accepted if you have eaten haram food, but i have never seen any proof. i am just looking to further my understanding. MOMI: Perhaps i will email a couple scholars to find out more about this reguarding eating haram foods due to necessity vs. not necessity.
  10. (salam) Does anyone know if a person who suffers from an on going medical conditon, which prevents them from ever being able to fast, has to feed the poor?
  11. as salaam alaikum, i think the 10 min grace period is to ensure that you stop in time, since it is hard to see the exact moment of dawn at times.
  12. as salaam alaikum, perhaps it means Book 2, page 361?
