  1. Irrespective of conditions in which hajj can be prohibited boycotting hajj is not going to make any difference to Saud. If the injustice was against raising voice, a better way would be to raise more voices .
  2. Islam doesn't label anyone as divorced or have different rights for divorced people. Societies do that. Given that there's nothing addressed like "virgin divorcee" in Quran itself is a sign that it isn't a classification required by religion. You've been patient all throughout. Have a little more. A test isn't just going thru certain circumstances but your ability to retain faith despite nothing making sense. As for hope, I guarantee you from my own experience that anything anyone gives you even if it be from Quran would face resistance from your heart in accepting it. Seek it yourself remembering that you're seeking guidance knowing well that Allah is just and HE is the only one to guide. You'll find answers yourself Inshallah. May Allah guide us all.
  3. Sis fairy Just read this verse and think over Do men fancy that they will be left just upon their declaring, “We believe”, and they will not be tested? (Al-Ankaboot 29:2)
  4. How does that change her feelings of being unhappy with turn of events if you call it annulment or divorce? The factors which she points out are being rejected by others and verse in Quran which she feels is biased, and seeking hope. Never knew hope is only available with clerics.
  5. May Allah give strength to near and dear ones to bear the loss.
  6. Salaam, Are dreams a stream of communication used by Allah or even Satan can use it? How are dreams involving inappropriate content justified? Who has the onus of what we dream?
  7. Isn't apostasy covered under hudood law which only Imam can enforce?
  8. Salaam To all brothers and sisters who have both advised and shared their opinion I wish to remind them that neither of us are witness to facts nor the reasons behind those facts. Judging purely on basis of one paragraph and quickly pronouncing judgements looks like help but it's more damaging to both the advisor and advised. OP's husband could in all possibility also engage in relationship outside mutah. But something tells him what's right. So he opts for something halal. That is a sign that he's not off the mark. On other hand despite his insolent attitude towards what's haraam he's still calling what's wrong as wrong. Inability to knowingly commit sin while realizing it's sin is weakness of faith not absence of it. Overtime, addiction can both increase and decrease just like faith increases and decreases. Prophesizing that he's evil or he'll not change is not for anyone of us. OP should from her personal understanding see if there's respect or concern for her, for these are two important factors which would either motivate him to change, or ensure he's not going to be unjust in normal circumstances when he's done with his sexual actualization or phase of complete lack of control over nafs, whatever might be the case. When relationships fail to deliver what is expected from them, it's purely a personal call for individuals concerned for how much they can bear and when should they make difficult decisions keeping in mind pro's and con's only they can gauge. My only advice to OP would be to give very little significance to hope when considering future, except if it's on Allah.
  9. salaam If she's destined to get married to you, nobody can oppose and stop. If she's not then even angels praying that she gets married to you won't make that happen. Reason with family in a polite manner. Be assertive yet not stubborn.
  10. When scholars say "suitable for public gatherings", "of immoral people", "for amusement" etc understand they're saying it in light of traditions and cannot add or deduct their own interpretation more that what's available. It always leaves way too much open for individual interpretation. What's amusement for one person might not be same for another. What's immoral for one culture could be very normal for another. It's always better to err on side of caution. Completely refraining from music, irrespective halal or haraam with intention of seeking nearness to Allah isn't going to harm anyone in anyway.
  11. How's high number of members gonna help anyone unless high traffic= more revenue? When there were large number of active users, I'm sure it wasn't planned. So why do we have to make efforts to get some people whom we presume would bring traffic at cost of breaking rules we ourselves made? What is it we can't discuss now which we could earlier? Who stops anyone from sharing things like "how they were in the past"? There's always a difference between perception of activity for one who's joined new compared to a senior member. Maybe new members find it as happening and enlightening as we all felt when we joined. I'm sure nobody came to the site because there were high number of active users. On the contrary, there is much larger section of diverted traffic as guests who read enough from what's already being discussed. Often I find solutions thorough search on shiachat and don't require to reinvent the wheel by asking same thing over. I'm sure hundreds of guests do that too. As for idle talk, avoid it to not encourage it. Site isn't defined by who are banned. It's defined by who aren't.
  12. Remove announcements in New shiachat Which is the most delicious fruit for you?
  13. Salaam New interface is refreshing change but will these long announcements keep popping up at every page load?
  14. Welcome Brother!! May Lord ease your difficulties, Remove your doubts, Protect your interests, Increase your sustenance, Strengthen your faith, Ease your trials Bless your soul
  15. It's amusing while we debate second wife, most of both women and men don't even cut the bill to be first and exclusive one.
  16. It's not been blah blah here for quite sometime What's your strength?
  17. Pray he's blind What is one thing you repeat often in your statements?
