  1. Salam Alaykum 1. Yes, you can have more than one sexual intercourse and then perform Ghusl. http://www.sistani.org/english/book/48/2168/ 2. No problem to do them all before performing Ghusl. http://www.sistani.org/ Regarding these two questions all mujtahids have the same verdict.
  2. I didn't say I recite them in my prayer. I would do as much but I don't think applying this recommendation in all prayers would be that difficult.
  3. Yes, brother. It has been narrated likewise. 1. It says: Whoever spends one day and practiced five prayers without reciting Surah "قل هو الله احد" once in a prayer he would be told: O' Allah's servant, you aren't counted among those who pray. 2. A person came to Imam saying: You wrote a letter to Muhamad bin Al-faraj (one of his companion) teaching him best surahs ever recited in obligatory prayers are "Qul huwallahu Ahad" and "Inna Anzalnahu"; then the narrator continued to ask if it also recommended to recite them in Fajr prayer; and Imam replied: Yes.
  4. Salam Alaykum As other brothers/sisters mentioned you're not allowed to marry her unless her husband divorces her with prescribed conditions mentioned in Islamic law books. You can check this one. Not seeing a husband is not justifiable reason to initiate divorce on behalf of her husband. Referring to a shaykh for divorce are permitted in few situations. Scholars may have different views so tell us your marja' first so we can help you. This has been quoted from Ayt. Sistani's website: (that is in Arabic. Here is the translation.) You may refer to an Islamic authority in these situations: If a man doesn't do his duty in marriage and his wife bring a prosecution against him to an Islamic authority asking him to either divorce her or fulfill his obligation but it doesn't take effect, then she may ask the Islamic authority to divorce on behalf of him in certain situations: 1. The man doesn't spend enough money on her (doesn't spend nafaqah). (This is the same if he isn't able to spend on her) 2. If a man annoys his wife and doesn't treat her in a good manner (according to what God obliged him to do). 3. If a man abandons her wife in a way it looks like she doesn't have any husband. For all of these situations you're required to refer to a shaykh (an Islamic authority). That was Ayt. Sistani's verdict regarding this issue. Other marjas may have different views. Check this link. it'll be helpful insa'Allah: islamquest.net
  5. Salam Alaykum This is the short answer quoted from this website. "Generally speaking, kafir can be divided into kafir from jurisprudential viewpoint and kafir from theological viewpoint, each having different types. Kafir from a jurisprudential perspective includes the original kafir, people of the book and murtadd [apostate]. People of the book are either at war with Muslim community or not at war with them. People of the book not at war with Muslim community are either zemmi [who pay a special tax, respect Islamic laws and do not state their beliefs] and non-zemmi. Kafir from theological viewpoint is divided into monotheistic kafir and non-monotheistic kafir." It is permitted for men to marry non-muslims only temporarily. (according to most marjas). But women are not permitted to marry them, not temporarily nor permanently. One final point: All kaffers may not have the same rulings. For example in accordance to some marjas Christians are pure; but other kuffar are impure.
  6. Salam Alaykum brother No, as far as I have searched I didn't find a marja' who allows you to sit there. (I have seen almost all well-known marjas.)
  7. Salam Alaykum Usually acts are prohibited, and not thinking. In most cases thinking about something haram is not haram even it may lead to that act. For example thinking about telling a lie is not haram. Therefore thinking about having sexual intercourse with a woman would not be haram as long as it is not manifested in your acts. I said "usually" because sometimes thinking about something haram is also haram. For example: 1. suspicion: Qoran says: O you who believe! avoid most of suspicion, for surely suspicion in some cases is a sin And do not spy nor let some of you backbite others Does one of you like to eat the flesh of his dead brother? But you abhor it And be careful of) your duty to (Allah Surely Allah is Of returning) to mercy (, Merciful), (49:12)
  8. Salam Alaykum What do you think? You're asking her to do something Harram and in return you would give her money. Although some may not respect a ruling or may not even believe in it they are also ordered to follow those rulings-just the same as you- ; therefore it's not permissible to hire a non-hijabi model for such purpose just like that it is not permissible to hire a hijabi model. Generally it is not permissible to employ a person to do something Haraam. Respecting his rulings your business would be successful, insha'Allah.
  9. Salam Alaykum On the other hand; in addition to the fact that these duas aren't narrated through a reliable chain of narrators that might be a sign that these duas aren't recited by the prophet in the first place or at least the sequential order might have been changed; that is to say relying on this dua we can't refute all narrations saying the night of Qadr is either 23rd or 21st or 19th of Ramadan. In addition to the fact that many Sunni scholars believe that the night of Qadr is 27th of Ramadan.
  10. Salam Alaykum I think your question would be answered if you know more how shia scholars interpret Qur'an. They first refer to hadithi books to see if our Imams interpreted that part or not. if they find one or two they wouldn't go forward to use their knowledge as to interpret Qur'an. Scholars would use ahadith as to interpret Quran therefore the outcome wouldn't be something against hadith.
For a certain number of days But whoever among you is sick or on a journey, then) he shall fast (a) like (number of other days And those who are not able to do it may effect a redemption by feeding a poor man So whoever does good spontaneously it is better for him And that you fast is better for you If you know(2:481) To fast is defiantly better. So not fasting is defiantly good and makrooh.
  12. Salam Alaykum In addition to good points brothers/sisters made, I think vital matters like legitimacy of a religion shouldn't be dealt with by dreams. For sure Satan would not stop leading astray so if he could interfere in your dreams or thoughts to lead you astray he would definitely do. Look at this verse of the Holy Qur'an: We did not send before you any apostle or prophet but that when he recited] the scripture [Satan interjected] something [in his recitation. Thereat Allah nullifies whatever Satan has interjected,] and [then Allah confirms His signs, and Allah is All-knowing, All-wise. That He may make what Satan has thrown in a trial for those in whose hearts is a sickness and those whose hearts have hardened. Indeed the wrongdoers are steeped in extreme defiance.(22:52&53) Satan didn't even leave out God's apostles and prophets according to above verses. He did attempted so hard as to deceive prophets and God's apostle; but God would nullify all of his tricks.
  13. Salam Alaykum If I were you I would perform wudu, tayammum and prayer in front of a Sheikh or a knowledgeable person to realize whether or not I have any problems performing them. I think that's even more practical than watching a video or reading a book.
  14. Najaf.org also declares a time to do ImsaakC? Didn't you observe that time? One needs to observe caution for timetable especially in the month of ramadan for fajr and maghrib because the given time is not 100 percent accurate; That's why you see Najaf.org declares a different time to do Imsaak. It is not obligatory on you to perform Qadha because you didn't know that fajr happened at the beginning of 2:21. Probably it happened at 2:21 and for example 50 seconds; therefore you're not sure that by the time you ate something you have already passed fajr time. Also I thought the following verdict quoted from Ayt. Sistani's "Islamic laws" might also be helpful.
  15. Salam Alaykum I'm not an expert in this field but I assume: probably she had some bad experience in their sexual relationships; for example they might have too much sexual contact so she felt kind of bored. He needs to see if she had the same feelings from the beginning of their marriage or she turned out to be like that. Maybe getting away from her husband for a few days or not having any contact until she initiates or -at least- seems to be interested in it can solve the problem insha'Allah.
  16. Salam. That's permissible to recite surahs from Quran; and only some scholars like Ayt. Bahjat sees that Makrooh. (Q&A for Ayt. Bahjat, vol 2, page 132)
  17. Salam Alaykum A few points: 1. To have your fast void you need to be in your city (your hometown) or where you want to stay for -at least- 10 days before zuhr. So you can stay there or leave the city and reach to your own city before Zuhr. 2. To stay in that city for 10 days you need to stay there 10 days completely: so if you reach there on June 18th afternoon you need to stay there until 28th afternoon; therefore you're not expected to leave on June 28th at noon.

Salam Alaykum Itekaf is Mustahab but it must be held for at least three days. No matter when you perform it; in the last three days or in the beginning. The following text has been quoted from Minhaj Al-Salehin vol 1, Mas'aleh no 1068. Other scholars have the same opinion.
  19. Salam Alaykum And also this verse indicate their infallibility: Stay in your houses and do not display your finery with the display of the former] days of [ignorance. Maintain the prayer and pay the zakat, and obey Allah and His Apostle. Indeed Allah desires to repel all impurity from you, O People of the Household, and purify you with a thorough purification.(33:33) For more information and how this verse proves the idea of infallibility click here.
  20. BTW what do you means "he lives in another city" and "his home is elsewhere"? How long does he live in the other city? Did he go there to work? I asked these questions because they might impact on the answer.
  21. Salam Alaykum If one reaches his hometown before Zuhr he has to intend fasting only if he hasn't eaten or drunk anything till then.
  22. It's consisting of three parts: When the third part of Salaam is recited one is permitted to turn his head left and right.
  23. Salaam Alaykum It's not permissible to turn the head right and left until Salaat is finished so what you see in Shia praying is based on what I said, and they turn the head left and right right after they said the last part of Salaam.
  24. Yes, that has been mentioned in Qur'an: Indeed the requital of those who wage war against Allah and His Apostle, and try to cause corruption on the earth, is that they shall be slain or crucified, or have their hands and feet cut off from opposite sides or be banished from the land. That is a disgrace for them in this world, and in the Hereafter there is a great punishment for them,(5:33) "يصلبوا" means to hang a person by fastening them to a cross which is a kind of hanging is being obliged when one wage war against Allah and the prophet.
