  1. It is also notable to that there was prohibition from writing hadith for about 100 year after the Prophet (s) so Sunnis stopped writing hadith while Shia have books from this period and also Shia had their Imams who are considered a great source for Ahkam and ... but unfortunately Sunnis do not. After 102 A.H. when the prohibition was over many hadith were reported without clear or authentic chain of narrators or sometimes forged ones, because the hadiths were just in minds not on papers so there were many mistakes in narration and ... in Sunni hadiths.
  2. Here is the original Arabic script which shows the translation from @mostaffa was correct!
  3. (bismillah) It is a sign of respect and it doesn't need hadiths to be proved, plus , every thing is halal in Islam unless there is evidence that it is haram. So it is better to ask " Is there any proof that building shrines over the graves of Imams as is not allowed? " والسلام علیکم
  4. (bismillah) As @ *+*Princess Bride*+* and @katyushka said it can cause health problem. I don't have anything else to add, but I mentioned something in @ *+*Princess Bride*+* post : I remember that even if one doesn't have any thing to eat, one must break the fast at least by intention. NO ONE is allowed to keep fating for two days continuously. In fact it is one of the haram fasts and will not be accepted as the fast of month of Ramadan. So at least one must break his fast by intention.
  5. The video has been removed from YouTube.
  6. (salam) What we have in hadiths is that "being naked (taking off all the clothes) during intimacy" is makruh , so just putting or having a sheet or blanket over them is not enough for avoiding the makruh, rather one can wear a light clothes covering his body partially for avoiding the makruh. It is not just for men but also applied to women as well. It is makruh for them to get naked completely during intimacy , however the ruling is just applied during intercourse not in other situations like: foreplay, taking bath, .... No explanation has been given in hadiths . So the answer your question would be identical to the answer of this question " Why morning prayer is 2 rak'ah?" There are so many rulings in Islam that we don't know the exact reason of them, but we accept them, because we believe it has been sent down to human kind from the most Knowledgeable, the most Beneficent and the most Wise Creator, who knows what is good for us- so he ordered us to do it- and what is bad for us -so he ordered us not to do it. والسلام علیکم
  7. (Salam)Can you name some of the "pious muhajireen" who were in saqifah and didn't accept Imam Ali's a.s caliphate? thank you
  8. (bismillah) (salam) I want to knew your opinion on this clip. There are Muslims who say that this is not allowed in Islam completely, because it is dance and dance is haram. There also could be ones who believe that this kind of actions changes the appearance of current Islam (which is -unfortunately- known as the religion of terrorists and irrational restrictions) to a very lovely and joyful religion (which actually is ) I would be so thankful if you post your reasons and also (if there is no problem) add your location. I want to knew how my shia brothers and sisters around the globe think about this and what is their arguments. God helps you in every stage of your life. Thank you. (wasalam)
  9. (bismillah) (salam) I have to say that a man can just shake hand with his mother-in-law among his female in-laws . So strange !! Grand Ayatollah Mohammad Ebrahim Jannaati VS Sistani Is the last one your cousin? or because the fatwa of the first one satisfied you? Pay more respect dear brother! I am so surprised after those tough discussions and that you've been defeated and your thread moved to "trash pit" by moderators , you just say your sick idea again and again I am starting to think that someone pays you on spreading these misleading ideas!! :shifty: والسلام علیکم
  10. (bismillah) (salam) I do not know about the 3 stages of divorce but I know that there are some condition which must be met for a divorce to be valid, you can read them in this link: http://www.al-islam.org/islamic-laws-ayatullah-al-uzma-sayyid-ali-al-husaini-seestani/divorce None of these rulings, is public announcement, what is required in this regard is witnessing two just ('adil) persons the formula of divorce. والسلام علیکم
  11. So all our Imams (as) , Prophet (pbuh) and Ulama were "ultra prude and they make the worst spouses" and Michel Jackson was the nearest person to God because he did not only danced himself but also encouraged so many people to dance and get nearer to their ruh and as the result to God. He was also the best husband in some stage of his life and the best wife in the other stage of her life !! So the best way and closest way (just in one month) to approach Allah by improving your ruh is dancing. Do not hesitate and start dancing today , you will be inshallah one of the 313 companion of Imam Mahdi a.a.f.s soon, for sure. Do not miss this opportunity and do not let the other rock bands and dancer take it from you !! So sorry to say that you are wrong , obligatory precaution does't mean that you can follow EVERY OTHER MUJTAHID but just a mujtahid which is equal to your marja' in knowledge so if somebody believe that e.g. Ayatullah Khamenei is the most knowledgeable and no one is equal to him, he can not refer to another marja' when Ayatullah Khamenei has obligatory precaution in his fatwa. والسلام
  12. (bismillah) This meeting happened in 2006 and I think if you search SC you'll find something about it . like this one and this Seyyed Hakim went there and talked to American government for making a commitment to help end the violence in Iraq. I remember at that time the meeting had been dealt with variously from different parties in Iraq, even some parties said that Seyyed Hakim must be killed. He did that for his country and his people's good and safety but they said he must be killed. And even some rumors said that Seyyed Abdu al-Aziz Hakim got the cancer because of the coffee that he drank in that meeting .
  13. (bismillah) (salam) One of the most important point of hajj is to leave behind every attachment to this dunya and be a real slave of God . A true slave does not have any wish except than of his Lord. A true believer does not love anything in this world more than who created him and blessed him with various blessings, from the very moment he came to existence. So if you love your hair more than who had created you and blessed you in every stage of your life and specially has given you this opportunity to go to hajj which is very unique and never happens to many Muslims. People are willing to give what they have saved for a very long time to go to hajj once, so what is the importance of bunch of hair that will grow by paying no money and is actually a blessing by who ordered you to shave it ?!! And in the end, if you went to hajj, do not forget to pray for Muslims who wish to go to hajj for long time and they can't !
  14. (bismillah) (salam) Obey them until it is not disobeying of Allah, here is what Quran says: وَ وَصَّيْنَا الْإِنْسانَ بِوالِدَيْهِ حُسْناً وَ إِنْ جاهَداكَ لِتُشْرِكَ بي‏ ما لَيْسَ لَكَ بِهِ عِلْمٌ فَلا تُطِعْهُما إِلَيَّ مَرْجِعُكُمْ فَأُنَبِّئُكُمْ بِما كُنْتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ (8) We have enjoined man to be good to his parents. But if they urge you to ascribe to Me as partner that of which you have no knowledge, then do not obey them. To Me will be your return, whereat I will inform you concerning that which you used to do.) 8 ( وَ وَصَّيْنَا الْإِنْسانَ بِوالِدَيْهِ حَمَلَتْهُ أُمُّهُ وَهْناً عَلى‏ وَهْنٍ وَ فِصالُهُ في‏ عامَيْنِ أَنِ اشْكُرْ لي‏ وَ لِوالِدَيْكَ إِلَيَّ الْمَصيرُ (14) We have enjoined man concerning his parents: His mother carried him through weakness upon weakness, and his weaning takes two years. Give thanks to Me and to your parents. (15) But if they urge you to ascribe to Me as partner that of which you have no knowledge, then do not obey them. Keep their company honourably in this world and follow the way of him who turns to Me penitently. Then to Me will be your return, whereat I will inform you concerning what you used to do.) 51 ( So if your fast is wajib (qada or nadhr) you should not obey them, as well as eating non-halal meats and shaking hands with non-mahram people. But if it is a mustahab fast, you should break it if your parents disagree with it. Here is the fatwa from Ayatullah Sistani: Issue 1750: * It is haraam for the children to observe a Mustahab fast if it causes emotional suffering to their parents. والسلام علیکم
  15. (bismillah) (salam) I think if one thinks about the meaning of "fatwa" he will find the answer, fatwa is not defined as " a written statement of a marja' about a fiqhi issue" rather every thing that you are sure is your marja' opinion about an issue, whether it is written or not, must be obeyed and and the excuse that it was not written for disobeying, is not acceptable in fiqh and also between sane people. And to be sure, here is the written fatwa of Ayatullah Sistani about your question: Issue 5: There are four ways of obtaining the verdicts of a Mujtahid:• When a man hears from the Mujtahid himself.• When the verdict of the Mujtahid is quoted by two just persons.• When a man hears the verdict from a person whose statement satisfies him.• By reading the Mujtahid's book of Masae'l, provided that, one is satisfied about thecorrectness of the book. So three out of four is through hearing not reading a written fatwa. والسلام علیکم
