My mother also hates hijab because she thinks it stands for submission to men, the reason given in the Bible for women to cover their heads. Perhaps in time, your mother will come around when she sees how happy and well balanced you are as a Muslim. Until then, definitely take it off when you are home with only family. I've been Muslim for eleven years and I still remove hijab when I'm at my folks' house and only family are around.
As for hijab when out, when you hide your beliefs or a portion of your beliefs for the sake of your safety and security, that is called taqiyyah and it is permitted. Only you can judge whether your circumstances require it. If you will be made homeless or risk injury by wearing hijab, perhaps you aren't obligated to wear it.
I reiterate, only you really know your circumstances. People here want to help you with good advice and you should read it, but you're going to have to use your judgement.

Finder got a reaction from Khali in Parent Problems
(As) Khali welcome. I hope some of the sisters here can give you a better idea. In general the Parents have a huge endeavor over the children as they raised them when they were small and helpless. However the Quran gives a great example through the story of Prophet Abraham (as) and his "dad" who when Prophet Abraham (as)  warned his "dad" about Allah(swt) and not to worship other than him, his Dad threatened the Prophet. Yet Prophet Abraham (as) still had the best manners. And prayed for his Dad.
    Quoting English from the Quran:
    3- Chapter: 29 , Verse: 8
and we have enjoined on man goodness to his parents , and if they contend with you that you should associate (others) with me, of which you have no knowledge, do not obey them, to me is your return, so i will inform you of what you did
As the Ayat points out be extremely good toward your parents however if they ask you to associate others with Allah(swt) then do not obey them. I apologize if this is not a specific answer as I am hoping someone will give an answer tailed to your situation based on experience.
    God bless.

    Salam,

Jokes aside, it is good that you bring this up. Mods and Admins should be flexible enough to let certain things slide if it leads to better learning and understanding about Islam, or at least become a better person or more knowledgeable.

Now, looking at that thread, imagine yourself being a guest here, interested in Islam, maybe researching, and that is what you see. Some guy making a thread on "SHIA"chat about considering to start smoking because he can't keep his wits together when it comes to woman. Then you put a smiley face finding it amusing.

I mean, some members seem to keep repeating the same mistake, and when they are told they are doing a mistake they don't seem to learn or admit it. You yourself gave an example of a mod(apparently me, though i don't remember) telling you why the post was deleted, you admitted it and didn't do the same mistake again.

Now i realize it might seem harsh to lock the thread, but do you know if the mods have warned the member about such things or not?

PS: I would have deleted it, so the mod was being more flexible than i would have.

Thank you for your input. What specifically about that thread do you find interesting. Please elaborate so I can understand your position better.

    I will list their sources:
    Bukhari volume 6 book 60 #105
    Bukhari volume 9 book 93 #532s
    Bukhari volume 8 book 76 #577
Translation of bukhari volume 9 book 93 #532c
Translation of bukhari volume 9 book 93 #509
And There are more sources listed in the pamphlet.
Can any Sunni defend or deny that God had a body? Or do Sunnis agree with the NOI.

however an end to this debate is nothing.

therefore something will come out of it and that something is nothing.

the other day i was talking to the wall, i was trying to convince it that i was right. i got a little upset because the wall was not responding and kept its same argument over and over again and its argument was nothing that's when I realized i was debating a wall.

(Salam)Thank you very much for your answer. Knowledge is power.
However... the book you quoted from is considered weak.
Do you have ANY other source or the same hadith quoted multiple times in different books? Jazakallahu Khairun.
Proof from your sources that it is weak:
Regarding his book al-fitan, Allāmah adh-Dhahabī رحمه الله تعالى has comments by saying:
    سير أعلام النبلاء - (10 / 609) مؤسسة الرسالة
وقد صنف كتاب " الفتن " فأتى فيه بعجائب ومناكير.
“He was authored a book named “al-fitan” and has mentioned a lot of strange and unauthentic narrations”. (As-Siyar 10/609 Muassasatur Risālah)
    ------------------------------------------
Al-Hatib al-Baghdadi in his history while he was discussing a hadeth in the bio of ibn Hammad, said:
".. and there is no base for this hadith, and it's not know from hadith of ibn al-Mubarak, and I don't know from where did Nuaym came with this (hadith), and Nuaym use to narrate from his memory, and he has a lot of rejected, which couldn't be relied upon, and I heard that Yahya ibn Maeen was asked about him and said: He is nothing in his ahadeth, but he was author of Sunnan".
It was also narrated that ibn Maeen said he was thiqat. Same opinion shared Ahmad and Ahmad al-Ijli.
Abu Dawud said: "With Nuaym ibn Hammad were 20 ahadeth from prophet (sallalahu alaihi wa ala alihi wa sallam) which have no base"
Nasai said he was weak. It was also narrated that Nasai mentioned Nuaym with goodness, mentioned his superiority in knowledge, understanding and sunnan, and when he was asked about his ahadeth, he said: He stayed alone (in narrating oddity) from imams, and reached level in which he can't be relied upon". (Mizanul Itidal 4/267-268)
However thank you again for giving an answer.

    dear Christianlady,

Hopefully you are happy and healthy, and greetings to your church.

anyway here are my short responses:

A King has poltiical roles too right (politics is management of people affairs)? Every Prophet in history was a fulfillment of a previous prophecy and the Law, weren't they?

anyway, here is Jesus telling his friends to get swords:

    https://www.biblegateway.com/quicksearch/?quicksearch=buy+sword&qs_version=NIV

Luke 22:36He said to them, “But now if you have a purse, take it, and also a bag; and if you don’t have a sword, sell your cloak and buy one.

so Jesus did ask his followers to get ready for a fight.

every prophet desired the same. Although their success was obviously always limited, and of course they also came to be messengers for the righteous.

this verse has more context as to what exactly Jesus probably meant:

https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Luke+5:32&version=NIV Luke 5:32New International Version (NIV)32 I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.”
but saying for instance, that he did not come for his apostles for instance, or the rest of his followers, would not make sense. only satan would agree with something like that.

i see zero logic in saying One God, and then say the God is 1, 2, 3 .. and God has a son .. because a son is something created, while God is the Creator. And those verses i posted above contradict this as well: like:

Before me no god was formed,
nor will there be one after me. Isaiah 43:10

“To whom will you compare me?
Or who is my equal?” says the Holy One. Isaiah 40:18

so aren't we comparing the "One" God to Jesus here? And using a wordly term like son for the Creator of everything? To me it does not make sense. Monotheism means One God .. and no comparisons, no associations, no family, no olymp, no graven images, etc etc .. but each to his own

according to the statement of "love your enemies" shouldn't you love satan? or is satan not your enemy? who is the enemy?

according to this the devil is the enemy:

    https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Matthew+13:39&version=NIV

Matthew 13:39New International Version (NIV)39 and the enemy who sows them is the devil. The harvest is the end of the age, and the harvesters are angels.
https://www.biblegateway.com/quicksearch/?qs_version=NIV&quicksearch=enemy&begin=67&end=67           1 Peter 5:8Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. so clearly according to your beliefs you must love satan. all the best  peace and blessings

I'm beginning to think that openly illuminating the faults of the three ideals of Sunnis is rather counterproductive because it only enrages them and then they build upon the excuse to murder Shias and bad mouth the Ai'mmah (as) or the Sahaba who were friends of Ali (as), and their graves become Sunni hate sinks e.g. in Syria where one's grave was burnt and the other dug up.

Who cares if even in their own books their faults are obvious and numerous like pox on someone's face. If they don't care about their sahihs then why bother.

Thank You for the replies. But my question is deemed at those who believe themselves to be Shafi, Hanafi, Hanbali, or following the Maliki ideology.
In their view the caliphas are appointed from a "consultation"/ people voting. However they also believe in al-mahdi. So according to their view who appointed al-mahdi (as)?
