Don't let him in YOUR house, he has to work and provide for you.  He has to CONSISTENTLY demonstrate how he will make amends. He can't just buy you flowers once, and then that's it, he comes back and picks up where he left off, NO.  Don't let him in the house, this is the reason he has come back now.

    Assalamu Alaikum,
I was once told or perhaps heard in a lecture, that Imam Reza as helps the believers cross the sirat in the next world, on the condition that we visit him (shrine).
Please can anyone give me the reference/source to this, it would be most appreciated? I need this for a project.
    Thank you.

People who meet certain criteria and martyrs will also be authorized by our Creator to intercede for others and help them. But of course, intercession is of no use to those who do not --qualify-- for it. For instance, one of the Aimmah (عليه السلام) have said: "Our intercession is not for someone who believes salaat to be a light matter".
As for the bridge of siraat, I believe it exists solely for the ruin of the deniers of the Ahl al Bayt (عليه السلام). Those who are their Shia will not cross it, rather they will be flown across it. It is not meant for crossing on your own. The Ahl al Bayt (عليه السلام) and the standard of Abbas (عليه السلام) will be there before the bridge. The Shia will be recognized and separated there. Those with animosity for the Prophet's progeny and confidence in their worships will be allowed to go on and attempt to cross it on their own, and they will fall to their doom. The Sunni molvis says things like that the bridge is very narrow, sharper than the edge of a sword, 500 years of journey it takes while in inclination and 500 years in descent. Also inane stuff like that the hooves of your sacrificial animals is designed to traverse it, the animal you sacrifice on Hajj or eid al-adhha. In truth, the bridge is not meant to be traversed except by the haughty ones who deny the wilayah of the ahl al bayt (عليه السلام).

enigma313 got a reaction from The Green Knight in Mini rant - Why can men not control themselves?
@Marbles I agree with so much of what you've said in this thread. But I want to add that when a woman is timid, soft, feminine, men aren't interested in her, because they want the career driven, financially independent woman. I and other women I know, love being at home cooking, sewing, doing arts and crafts, but God forbid we should say this in public. And I'm not boring, I have a degree, which had helped me raise my children. I.e. being educated.
When I opted to work part time, the most hatred and resentment came from other Muslim women. It's funny how you mention that men are attracted to feminine women... Where are these men? The men I've encountered seem to like butch women, you know, the masculine types. I wish I could express my femininity, but I'll get eaten alive if I do... By other women...some of the worst of creations.

My family is Bengali Sunni, and I think I'm the only Shia in my family.
Alhamdulillah, I feel blessed to have been guided to the right path, but
my parents are devastated by my conversion.  I'm not allowed to share
this with any of my other family members, immediate or extended.
But it's okay, I am taking my children with me so I can share what I learn
with them, even though they are little.  My daughter got into a Shia Madressa,
thank God, and my son is waiting to get in.
It's interesting reading about other people's backgrounds, so keep posting!  :shifty:
Please pray for me as I pray for all of you.

I don't think you will ever find anything in Dunya of which you do not get bored of eventually. Even if you do not get bored of it, it does not excite you since you have grown accustomed to it. That's the nature of dunya and that's the beauty of Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى), whose closeness always excites you.
