Because such scholars are more acquainted and familiar with the Ahlul Bayt (عليه السلام) than you and I are.  Or should I say, it is highly presumptuous to think you know more about the Imams (عليه السلام) than them.  As I said before, you have no problems cursing Abu Bakr, Umar and Uthman and yet Imam Ali (عليه السلام) protected their lives in their capacities as Caliphs.  I cannot imagine cursing anyone that the Imams sought to protect!  Imagine saying to someone: “I advice you not to be in the forefront of the battlefield as the Muslim Ummah needs you as a Caliph... and oh...by the way... may God’s curse be upon you for being a wrongful Caliph, for murdering our most Holy Lady (Seyyida Fatimah (عليه السلام) and her child and for going against the most important and explicit instruction by the Prophet (S) which was essential for saving the Spirit of the Islamic Ummah—-namely my Leadership!”.  It doesn't add up. So perhaps I should be the one telling you, What is with you? Perhaps..(and God knows best) people such as yourselves don’t really have ma’rifa of the Imams (عليه السلام) because it seems like most of what constitutes your knowledge of them (عليه السلام) is a conspiracy.  Imagine, you are so quick to label Ibn Arabi as a "beggar of the awliya" based on your belief in such conspiracies.  Really?
Ziyarate Ashura (in its entirety) is not necessarily a reliable source of information as some parts of it could have been subject to distortion (and God knows best).  The very fact that you appeal to Ziyarate Ashura is very telling of how weak your source material is.

    As salaamun aleikum,
But doesnt the Qur'an say that for those who do good deeds etc. there is no worry for them in general?
Also, its generally known that in Islam that there are non Muslims who are "better" in deed and character than actuall Muslims, plus, isnt it that the people who were never exposed to Islam,  will be judged according to what they DID know and how they behaved accordingly? Im refering to thise whose exposure to Islam wasnt convincing to their aql that it was the correct way, or whatever they WERE exposed to was corrupted, wahabbist backwards thinking that actuall Muslims find apalling?
See, for me, the thing about buddhism and even hinduism is, pretty much anything humans get their hands on is eventually going to end up becoming tainted or corrupted.Even elements of Islam have become tainted and corrupted, even our beloved Shiism, but to what degree, I can not say. I personally believe that Buddhism and Hinduism all had monotheistic roots and that they were divinely revealed, it's just that they became so corrupted, that Allah has chosen not to even mention them as people of the book in the Qur'an.
That's just where I'm coming from. I don't have any background in any type of religious study or anything like that, it's just looking into and reading some of what they have to offer, there's truth in it. You can't deny that, and where does truth come from and what is Truth? Allah(سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى)...
Allah(سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى) sent mankind 124000 Prophets, and He said He sent them to every people. I don’t think its a big stretch that He sent Prophets to the Indus Valley people but they eventually corrupted the message and crrated the Hinduism we know today. The same with Buddhism.
Before I converted to Islam, I even studied Native Americans religions and philosophies because I'm part native American. There's elements of tawheed in that too. Do I think for one second that Allah(سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى) neglected the entire Native American nation and didnt send Prophets to them? No, of course He did. It's just that the message became corrupted, just like everything else people manage to get their hands on for the most part. It's just like that game of telephone they taught us back in elementary school. You start out with one message and 30 kids later you've got a completely different message. In one areas people, they ended up with 5000+gods, and in the other, tbey ended up with "0", lol..Leave it to humans, lol

    Salam,

I have a BA in world religions and wrote a thesis comparing Buddhism and Islam....  and according to me what you are saying about Buddhism is very far from the truth.  It is as absurd and ignorant as those ignorant non-Muslims who think Muslims worship a black cube in the middle of a desert.
But then again, this is what my knowledge of Buddhism says, maybe you know more?

Not possible since Buddhism does not promote Monotheism.
In fact, Buddhism speaks against the concept of a central entity that created life, the world or existence in general. How can that be something that Allah sent into this world when it does not support the concept of central creator ?

The Prophet (S) is the wali of God par excellence.  I think this answer remains true for everyone despite what religion you follow.  Because the Christian follows Muhammad (S) through Christ (عليه السلام) and the Buddhists follow Muhammad (S) through the Buddha (عليه السلام).  The Muhammadan Shariah encompasses and contains all previous religions.  In fact the Prophet (S) contains everything within himself because he was sent as a mercy for all of existence.  He is the merciful womb (rhm) that contains the entire creation within himself.   He (S) was at the beginning even when Adam was between mud and clay (as a Hadith mentions), and he (S) is at the end.  The first of us is Muhammad, the Middle of us is Muhammad and the last of us is Muhammad (S) and everything in existence is Muhammad (S).
The same applies for Shias and Sunnis.  The Shias follow Muhammad (S) through the 12 infallibles.

There’s is something essential to faith and there are the accessories of faith.  The nuances in doctrine are the accessories... after all, these nuances of doctrine didn’t exist during the time of the Propeht (S).  The Prophet’s (S) very being  sufficed.
During the life of the Prophet (S) there existed no polemics, all the sahabah were one and united in love and out of love for the Prophet (S) and they respected each other immensely.  All the polemics started as soon as the Prophet (S) left this word.  What you align yourself with after the departing of the Prophet (S) is an accessory (not to be belittled, but also not to be blinded by as well).  It is through the aligning of yourself with the Ahlul Bayt (S) exclusively (like the case is with Shiaism) or with Sahaba as a whole (as is the case with Ahlul Sunnah wal Jama’) that you will find your connection with the Prophet (S).  Both parties intend to honor the Prophet (S), one part does so by seeing the Prophet (S) in his bloodline (his family), and the other honors the Prophet (S) by exclusively seeing the Prophet (S) in himself and and in no one else. These are merely two sides of the same coin, two ways of approaching the Prophet (S).
Notice in the world of the Ahlul Sunnah wal Jama the emphasis is usually placed on what the Prophet (S) did.  He (S) did this, so I will do this...  this is why Sunnis by and large are very good with doing their Sunnah prayers (it is in some cases wajib although not fard to not follow the Prophet (S) in his extra prayers.). In the Shia world the emphasis is placed on the Ahlul Bayt (عليه السلام) because the Ahlul Bayt (S) best represent the Prophet (S), this is why Shias tend to rely predominantly on what the Ahlul Bayt (S) say and do.
  17. Completely Agree
AnotherShepherd reacted to Shams of tabriz in There is but one religion.
There is a summit of knowledge, which has been reached by a few lone souls such as the Ibrahim(عليه السلام), Moses(عليه السلام), Isa (عليه السلام) Mohammed (S), Buddha, and few others. This knowledge came to them by the grace of God, revealing the truth that all existence is forever One. This being so, there exists no separate beings such as the Buddha, Jesus, Moses etc., but only the One, knowing Himself in all these various forms. It is, indeed, just this knowledge, which constitutes the message of every seer of Truth: “The One exists as you and me. Realize this Truth; There is but one religion, not many. It is only the childish and the deluded who think otherwise. There is but one substance, which is variously named as “water,” “pani,”  “jal,” “agua.” But no matter what it is called, that same substance quenches the thirst of all. "
Ask of those who have attained the realization of Allah all speak the same word. All the enlightened have left one message;  it is only those in the midst of their journey who hold diverse opinions.”  And, of course, the great majority of the world’s people are in the midst of their spiritual journey, and therefore, there are likely to be heard many diverse opinions for many centuries to come.

Sofis have much higher rank than most of Shia . Because sofism is real Islam.
In the above vedio (if you will listen carefully) you will see the scholars clearly praises the sofism indicating they know real Tawheed.

There is no lesson being taught either, in fact "Maulana" needs a lesson in akhlaq quite frankly. The OP has been messed with enough, he just wants be a part of the Shia community. It frustrates me to read that somebody is being suspicious for no good reason.
