  1. Salams All, Interesting points made. Being from a Sunni background I was always under the impression that the Prophet (S) died a natural death. The hadith quoted below seems incredibly suspicious to me. Hadith - Bukhari Book 71: Volume7: Hadith No. 610, Ibn 'Abbas and 'Aisha Abu Bakr kissed (the forehead of) the Prophet when he was dead. 'Aisha added: We put medicine in one side of his mouth but he started waving us not to insert the medicine into his mouth. We said, "He dislikes the medicine as a patient usually does." But when he came to his senses he said, "Did I not forbid you to p
  2. I see well your written Somali is not bad at all.. I'm from the UK.. I haven't met any yet, mind I only not long ago accepted the path of Ahlul Bayt..
  3. It states in the Qur'an "If he (the Prophet Saw) dies or is killed, will you then turn back on your heels" (3:144) Here is a lecture by one Sheikh about this and wanted to know if this is also the general belief of Shias http://youtu.be/NPlD-egIYVA
  4. Why the need for the sarcasm? It is something I have heard from a Shia scholar and I wanted to simply confirm it.
  5. Salams everybody, I have heard something and wanted a better understanding to whether this is true or not. I have heard that some shias believe that the Prophet (PBUH+HF) was murdered by Aisha and Hafsa. Is this true that some believe this? If so what evidences do you have to back up such claim? Jzk
  6. Yaa? I'm assuming you are also a Somali Shia convert. How long ago did you convert? And how did you break the news to your family?
  7. Thank u :) Gosh I can imagine.. Somalis can be very hard headed and are afraid of breaking away from the norm out of fear that it would bring unwanted negative attention
  8. I know it can get a little lonely.. but Alhamdulillah nevertheless. With time I hope to see it become more common amongst out communities inshaAllah
  9. JazakAllah Khayr for all of your posts :) I guess there's not many here
  10. There are four madhabs: Hanafi Maliki Shafiee Hanabli The closet out of the four to Shia Islam in terms of practices are the Malikis who pray with their hands down
  11. Salama Alaikum Brothers & Sisters, I am an Ex Sunni who have recently found the Ahlul Bayt path Alhamdulillah. I am Somali and have yet come across a somali shia and I want to know if there are more of you out there. Would be a lil comforting to know that I am not alone..
