humanbeing101 reacted to user5000 in Does this mean we shouldn't fear Allah?
The whole "fear" things always had me uneasy when I was a kid because I never knew what it meant growing up, I always questioned it. Much later in life, I'm almost certain I have the understanding, please correct me if I'm wrong. When we talk about fear, it is fear in the sense of bringing out gods displeasure, transgression against his laws, and receiving his punishment. So, say I'm at a dinner with friends, and a bottle of wine is brought out, and I'm a offered a glass. In that moment, I feel a strong sense of "fear", as there is something in which god has prohibited right in front of me, and which has great punishment, immediately, I cease and desist in "fear". If I'm with some coworkers and they decide they want to go to a place which god deemed illegal for me to enter (you know what I'm talking about) I fear god and his punishment, so once again, I cease and desist.
Fear of ones sins, right?

Imam Ali [as] said: Verily, some people worshipped Allah being desirous (Of His reward) – so this is the worship of traders; and some people worshipped Allah fearing (His punishment) – so it is the worship of slaves, and a group worshipped Allah in gratitude (to Him) so this is the worship of the free. (Nahju ‘I-balaghah)
We must still fear AllahÓÈÍÇäå æÊÚÇáì, but the point of the imams (alayhum assalam ) is that we must not only fear Allah ÓÈÍÇäå æÊÚÇáì, but also love Him ÓÈÍÇäå æÊÚÇáì

How many of us even attain the level of the slave? May Allah make us slaves, labourers, and lovers of Allah.

No, the Imam (as) means your intention for worshipping Allah should be out of love for Him, but it doesn't mean you shouldn't fear him aswell.

Imam Hussain (as) sacrificed everything not out of fear of Allah or reward of Heaven but out of pure love for Allah.
His companions sacrificed themselves not out of fear of Allah or reward of Heaven but out of pure love for Imam Hussain (as) and Allah of course That is why death was as sweet as honey for them.
And this was this perfect love that gave Imam Hussain (as) the title of nafs-e-muthmaina. One with whom Allah is satisfied.

humanbeing101 got a reaction from Muslim2010 in where are muhkam verses of imamate?
Jazakallah but I have one problem. None of those ayahs in isolation can only prove imamate, we need to use them all in together to prove the concept of imamate.

humanbeing101 reacted to Sindbad05 in Quran 39:30 and doesn't this go against tawassul?
In Quran, it is written that everything will be perished except face of Allah. And face of Allah implies to his faithful servants and his greatness.

humanbeing101 reacted to EhsanR in Quran 39:30 and doesn't this go against tawassul?
Salaam. I would like to say a word of caution. Simple rule of Quranic analysis is that you don't look at one Ayah alone, rather you gather all the ayahs that concern certain matter and then do the analysis in light of ahadiths.
Thanks,

humanbeing101 reacted to Urwatul Wuthqa in Quran 39:30 and doesn't this go against tawassul?
I want to ask 20 questions, step by step. Anyone please answer me:
1. Why Allah asks us to help Him? Even though He is Samad & He is Qawi.
2. How can one help Him?
Surah Al-Hadid, Verse 25:
Certainly We sent Our apostles with clear arguments, and sent down with them the Book and the balance that men may conduct themselves with equity; and We have made the iron, wherein is great violence and advantages to men, and that Allah may know who helps Him and His apostles in the secret; surely Allah is Strong, Mighty.

humanbeing101 reacted to Urwatul Wuthqa in Quran 39:30 and doesn't this go against tawassul?
If the above verse is not sufficient, here is another one:
Surah Muhammad, Verse 7:
يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا إِن تَنصُرُوا اللَّهَ يَنصُرْكُمْ وَيُثَبِّتْ أَقْدَامَكُمْ
O you who believe! if you help Allah, He will help you and make firm your feet.
You ask His help (iyyaka nasta'een) and He is asking your help.
The word "Nastaeen" is important indeed. Lets see what He has said in response to your call of "iyyaka nasta'een"
Surah Al-Baqara, Verse 153:
يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اسْتَعِينُوا بِالصَّبْرِ وَالصَّلَاةِ إِنَّ اللَّهَ مَعَ الصَّابِرِينَ
O you who believe! seek assistance through patience and prayer; surely Allah is with the patient.
He said go & seek assistance through patience & prayers. He said He is with patient.

humanbeing101 reacted to Sumerian in Quran 39:30 and doesn't this go against tawassul?
This is an example of tawassul:
Ali bin Ibrahim from his father (Ibrahim bin Hashim) from al-Husayn bin Said from Fadhala (bin Ayub) from Aban (bin Uthman) AND Muawiya bin Wahb who said: Abu Abdillah عليه السلام said: when you stand to (go and) pray then say:
O my Lord, I give preference to Muhammad صلى الله عليه وآله (i.e. over myself in front of You) and place Him between my outsretched hands in need (of You), and turn to You through Him, so make me through Him an intimate of Yours in this world and the next, and from among the close ones (to You), and make my prayers through Him accepted, and my sins through Him forgiven, and my supplications through Him answered, Indeed You are the most Forgiving - the Merciful. (Hasan due to Ibrahim)

humanbeing101 reacted to Muslim2010 in Don't these fadak narrations contradict?
The shia position may be what you have stated but i like to quote the part of hadith from OP:
Sahih Bukhari, Volume 4, Book 53, Hadith 325
Narrated 'Aisha: (mother of the believers) After the death of Allah 's Apostle Fatima the daughter of Allah's Apostle asked Abu Bakr As-Siddiq to give her, her share of inheritance from what Allah's Apostle had left of the Fai (i.e. booty gained without fighting) which Allah had given him. Abu Bakr said to her, "Allah's Apostle said, 'Our property will not be inherited, whatever we (i.e. prophets) leave is Sadaqa (to be used for charity)." Fatima, the daughter of Allah's Apostle got angry and stopped speaking to Abu Bakr, and continued assuming that attitude till she died. Fatima remained alive for six months after the death of Allah's Apostle..
1- The caliph did not deny that the Prophet gave Fatima AS as Fai, but what he denied is the share of her inheritance from the property of the prophet saww.
2- I have on this basis asked sunni friends to mention the verse of quran as evidence that the verses of inheritance are not applicable to the heirs of the prophet saww ie her daughter.
3. And the sunni friends are not yet able to mention a single verse except the dodging replies by moving in circles to save the false image of the caliph.
4. This I have already mentioned in my post quoted earlier in this thread.

@Student_of_Deen and @Mansur Bakhtiari
Before I search and provide the thing I mentioned about Anas bin Malik, I ask you @Student_of_Deen was not Abdullah ibn umar and Abdullah ibn zubayr whom you consider as companions alive when Imam Hussain a.s fought against Yazeed but Abdullah ibn umar gave gift to Yazeed and Abdullah ibn zubayr ducked into his house and did not helped Imam Hussain a.s. Imam Hussain a.s had only numbered people as his helpers why?

humanbeing101 reacted to Sindbad05 in What is the shia position on men having long hair?
Whatever Ahlebait a.s did was Sunnah but Sunnah is not Fard. Once people asked Imam Ali a.s that why he does not apply color to his hair. Imam Ali a.s replied: "Prophet PBUHHP ordered us to apply color to hair so that those were old may look younger in battles and the enemy may know that they are fighting a young army and since there is no such condition now, so it is not necessary now because it was conditional hukum". Long hair were kept for protecting the back of throat so that it may not be directly exposed to the rays of sunshine or cold in winter while there were not strong medication during that time but now we have medicine to treat them so it depends on you, how you think about it.
-
humanbeing101 reacted to Sindbad05 in What is the shia position on men having long hair?
One can keep hair till it touches shoulders as our Imams have such hairstyle but not long like women which may go beyond that and man looks similar to a woman.

@Student_of_Deen
That article doesn't actually provide any evidence for its claims. Even however for the sake of argument, I accept their weak defense on that. That still doesn't explain the issue of Fadak and Fatima's anger in other narrations of Ahle-Sunnah. Here are other evidences from your ahadeeth:
Yes I do know the meaning of Anfal but that still doesn't prove your point in regards to the surah or the ayah you chose. Infact I showed you numerous sunni tafseers on the issue and you are simply ignoring them. They all conclude the same, the surah was revealed in the context of the Battle of Badr but even so Khayber or not that doesn't deal with the fundamental problem here. Was it Fatima's right? We say yes, based on these evidences:

That is what Anas bin Malik said that "Most of us become apostate after Prophet".
There have been these things before bro, it is not first time that it has happened, did not Jews killed Prophets while they all have seen truth from them ?
