    WS,
I think that is definately a possibility. Barzani's interests mainly lie with self-preservation through maintaining his family's power in the KRG. I don't think the Kurds and Iraqis would go to war with eachother however. I believe both sides know a war would not be beneficial for either side, so I think they will maintain positive relations.

    Salam brother,
Ok let me try and break it down shortly and simply. The Majority of Kurds do want to secede from Iraq, however there is a difference on opinion whether this referendum is the right way to go. The reason being is because Barzani the president of the KRG is extremely corrupt, nepotistic, is totalitarian in how he governs and many Kurds do not like his rule in general(Except for KDP supporters.)  Now there is also issues of whether the referendum will actually go through because Barzani has also called for parliamentary/presidential elections this november. Therefore it now seems even the referendum might not happen; however other Kurdish parties like Gorran and PUK are calling for them to happen at the sametime.

humanbeing101 reacted to Qa'im in Sunni/Shia Debate-Mohammed Hijab vs Sayyid Haamid
This brother Sayyid Hamid did very well in the debate. Hijab was visibly uncomfortable and angry throughout most of it. He said that he finally understood Hamid's argument at around the 36:30 mark, and after that point, things went really downhill for Hijab. At 44:30 or so Hijab just wanted to end/leave the debate because he wanted an ayah right then and there about 12 Imams. The thing is there is no use discussing the rest of the Imams until we establish that `Ali (as) is the wasi of the Messenger (s), and not just for the sake of argument, but after actual conviction in the matter. Shi`as already have to babysit in these debates by using only Sunni sources that modern hyperskeptical Salafis accept as sahih, and clearly, even Hijab is more skeptical in rijal than al-Albani, because he was just weakening things that other Salafis strengthened.
As for Hijab's point that أَنْتَ خَلِيفَتِي " (anta khalifati) means "You (Ali) are my (the Prophet's) leader", the literal translation is actually "You are my vicegerent". Khalifa secondarily means leader, but primarily it is someone who represents the Prophet in the Prophet's absence. The formal title of the Caliph was "Khalifat Rasul Allah", which does not mean that he was the leader of Prophet Muhammad (s), but rather that he is the Prophet's representative and successor who rules in his stead. Furthermore, the hadith clearly says "You are my vicegerent over every believer after me" أَنْتَ خَلِيفَتِي فِي كُلِّ مُؤْمِنٍ مِنْ بَعْدِي, and the "min ba`di" is addressing what will happen after RasulAllah, and not just during his lifetime.
These debates come and go. Eventually, the Sunni side realizes that giving Shi`as airtime just makes honest people more curious.

    Sister @sidnaq,
Hameed and all teh other salafis and sunnis say, "we dont say anything bad about the sahaba." The sunnah of the Prophet is to call it like it is as in:
    Narrated Ibn Al-Musaiyab:
The companions of the Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Some men from my companions will come to my Lake-Fount and they will be driven away from it, and I will say, 'O Lord, my companions!' It will be said, 'You have no knowledge of what they innovated after you left: they turned apostate as renegades (reverted from Islam).
    Sahih al-Bukhari
    Book 81, Hadith 174
    https://sunnah.com/bukhari/81/174
Abu Huraira narrated that the Prophet (ﷺ) said:
"On the Day of Resurrection a group of companions will come to me, but will be driven away from the Lake-Fount, and I will say, 'O Lord (those are) my companions!' It will be said, 'You have no knowledge as to what they innovated after you left; they turned apostate as renegades (reverted from Islam).
    Sahih al-Bukhari
    Book 81, Hadith 173
    https://sunnah.com/bukhari/81/173
Ibn 'Abbas narrated that the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) said:
"The people will be gathered on the Day of Resurrection bare-foot, naked and uncircumcised as they were created." Then he recited: "As we begin the first creation, we shall repeat it: A promise binding upon Us. Truly We shall do it. And the first of people to be clothed will be Ibrahim. Among my companions will be some men who are taken to the right and to the left. I will say: 'O my Lord! My companions!' It will be said: 'You do not know what they innovated after you, they continued to be apostates since you parted from them.' So I will say as the righteous worshipper said: If you punish them, they are your slaves, and if You forgive them, indeed You, only You are the Almighty, the All-Wise."

    Vol. 4, Book 11, Hadith 2423

    Narrated Ibn `Abbas:
The Prophet (ﷺ) delivered a sermon and said, "You (people) will be gathered before Allah (on the Day of Resurrection) bare-footed, naked and uncircumcised." (The Prophet (ﷺ) then recited):-- 'As We began the first creation We shall repeat it. (It is) a promise We have undertaken and truly We shall do it.' and added, "The first man who will be dressed on the Day of Resurrection, will be Abraham. Lo! Some men from my followers will be brought and taken towards the left side, whereupon I will say, 'O Lord, (these are) my companions!' It will be said, 'You do not know what new things they introduced (into the religion) after you.' I will then say as the righteous pious slave, Jesus, said, 'I was a witness over them while I dwelt among them...(to His Statement)..and You are the Witness to all things.' (5.117) Then it will be said, '(O Muhammad) These people never stopped to apostate since you left them."

    Narrted Ibn `Abbas:
Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "You will be resurrected (and assembled) bare-footed, naked and uncircumcised." The Prophet (ﷺ) then recited the Divine Verse:-- "As We began the first creation, We shall repeat it: A promise We have undertaken. Truly we shall do it." (21.104) He added, "The first to be dressed will be Abraham. Then some of my companions will take to the right and to the left. I will say: 'My companions! 'It will be said, 'They had been renegades since you left them.' I will then say what the Pious Slave Jesus, the son of Mary said: 'And I was a witness over them while I dwelt amongst them; when You did take me up, You were the Watcher over them, and You are a Witness to all things. If You punish them, they are Your slaves, and if you forgive them, You, only You are the All-Mighty the All-Wise.' " (5.117-118) Narrated Quaggas, "Those were the apostates who renegade from Islam during the Caliphate of Abu Bakr who fought them"
Sahih al-Bukhari » Book of Prophets » Hadith
    Book 60, Hadith 117
    https://sunnah.com/bukhari/60/117
    Narrated Ibn `Abbas:
Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) delivered a sermon and said, "O people! You will be gathered before Allah barefooted, naked and not circumcised." Then (quoting Qur'an) he said:-- "As We began the first creation, We shall repeat it. A promise We have undertaken: Truly we shall do it.." (21.104) The Prophet (ﷺ) then said, "The first of the human beings to be dressed on the Day of Resurrection, will be Abraham. Lo! Some men from my followers will be brought and then (the angels) will drive them to the left side (Hell-Fire). I will say. 'O my Lord! (They are) my companions!' Then a reply will come (from Almighty), 'You do not know what they did after you.' I will say as the pious slave (the Prophet (ﷺ) Jesus) said: And I was a witness over them while I dwelt amongst them. When You took me up. You were the Watcher over them and You are a Witness to all things.' (5.117) Then it will be said, "These people have continued to be apostates since you left them."

The red text is not from the Prophet but an interpretation from Quaggas.
This is the reality of the Sahaba and why were proudly follow the Prophet and his AhlulBayt. Coincidentally, we call out the sahaba for their misgivings per the sunnah of the Prophet.

Would all this matter? Of course not, focus on long term things and not these trivial emotionally based things. God help you

So if I am a mujtahid and see a hadith and quran matches and from that make a ruling, do I not need to use logic to deduce that is the correct ruling? You keep saying "it's not this, it's not that...", well then why don't you show what it is with evidence.  Even your own Salafi website confirms what I'm saying:

The number of hate crime incidents reported to police in Manchester has almost doubled since the suicide bomb attack at the Manchester Arena on May 22 that killed 22 people and injured dozens of others.
A total of 56 hates crimes were recorded by the Manchester Police on May 24; a significant rise from the 28 reported two days previously. Police say 28 is a fairly typical number.
"It is important that we continue to stand together here in Greater Manchester," Ian Hopkins, Chief Constable of Greater Manchester Police, said.
"Particularly against some of the hateful views that we've seen from a very small minority of the community that have no place here."
