    If you are referring to the material world, then no it isn't. If you are referring to the hereafter, then you are indeed correct.

    The future is uncertain. People are assuming the future will be star trek or star wars like. However for all we know fast forward 200 to 300 years in the future. Humanity may of destroyed itself. Although it is certainly possible in the future religon will be of less importance.

    humanbeing101 reacted to notme in age of ayesha according to shia ?
    I don't believe she was six or nine when she married or the marriage was consummated, as history contradicts. But people and society were different back then. If a girl were physically and emotionally mature at an earlier age, she would marry.
    We have people nowadays who have no problem with teens "experimenting" with sex, but have a problem with the maturity required for marriage. My opinion is if a person wants to have sex or romance (because boys become interested in sex first and girls become interested in romance first) they should marry. Maturity grows from necessity. If people are different now and don't want mature relationships until they are 25 years old, so be it, they can wait. It hasn't always been that way.

    shias become needlessly defensive regarding this. its a bakri problem - let the bakris worry about it. We can just say that the age of consent then wasn't too different to the age of consent to a lot of western countries within the last decade, so even if it was true (that I do not believe) its hardly earth shattering. and according to us, she was probably in her 20s anyway.

    Salam brother and thank you for your opinion. Actually I don't think your opinion is an alien one. I think many Iraqis don't really mind an independant Kurdistan in Iraq. Since they don't see it s affecting their own lives personally.

    Is that really your best arguments against an independant Kurdistan?
    White people who are racist spew the same stuff, "i'm not racist, i have black friends...".
    Firstly you don't present any facts to back up any of your claims. Just "he says and she says". Let me give you a hypothetical scenario. If you had the choice bewteen living in Erbil or living in Baghdad for the rest of your life, which one would you choose? You cannot even compare Baghdad to Erbil in likeness of infastructure or city socio-economic structure.
    It really isn't. Infact here you can take a look at the living cost of certain things in Erbil. Plus you also have to remember the cost of living going up is also a sign of economic prosperity, not downturn. It is similar to say living in London compared to Cardiff. The cost of things in London is higher but it is relative to wages, which are also higher in comparison to Cardiff.
    http://www.numbeo.com/cost-of-living/city_result.jsp?country=Iraq&city=Irbil
    It is worse in Baghdad.
    Now compare to average salary in Baghdad:

    There are no housing projects in Iraq. Atleast Kurdistan has some infastructure developments.
    Let us take a look at projects already done and about to be done:

    You can complain to other parties like the PUK, Gorran and even the islamists if you want. I don't see where this is going, it isn't like the Iraqi government is anymore transparent. No one denies Barzani has been involved in corruption though.

    the irony that the western world is freaking out about ammi jaans supposed age, when up until only a few years ago, a lot of the western countries didnt have an age of consent much different anway, seems lost on everyone.
    Personally? i dont believe she was 9 or whatever when she married the prophet, because I believe the argument of her older sister Asma being 10 years her senior, and Asma was at least 25 at the hijra, making ammi jaan aisha at least 15.
    ammi jaan aisha married the holy prophet (pbuh) what, 3 years? after hijra?
    that makes ammi jaan at least 18 years old.

    Dear brothers and sisters salam;
        All comments given were correct but inadequate. No one mentioned why on the right hand. Is there any advantages for that? Do exist any Hadith in this regard? Is it a sign showing some thing especial? Is it recommended or Mustahabb to be carved any Dhikr or some thing like that on it? And other Q relevant. In order to find extra info concerning this Q you can refer to these two links:

    My uncle knew of him 20 years ago, back in 1990 when "anjie" used to work in the commission for racial equality in London. My uncle tells me that even back then this idiot did not have a clue - he used to pray salah with his shoes on and his "followers" used to pray with their shoes on too. when my uncle asked him why he did that, choudhary told him he was allowed because he was in a state of jihad, so normal laws of sharia do not count.
    the absurdity of someone willingly working for the commission for racial equality (a very cushy, comfortable job/ lifestyle in the swanky part of London) claiming to be in a state of jihad was completely lost on him.

    in the lecture I watched he only mentions "for obvious reasons". Interpret that however you will.
    Besides a ring looks much better on the ring finger anyway. Any other finger except the pinky just looks odd like a child is wearing it.

    @humanbeing101
    Bro - My knowledge on this is limited, but I know enough people connected to the Hawzas in London and Birmingham to be able to say;
    They are in fact quite open, and welcoming - regardless of what the published student recruitment material might say. There are always some requirements, so that they can make sure you are up for studying and trustworthy - but once you speak to the educational faculty at these institutions, and they know who you are - it becomes less guarded, and less reliant on references I believe.
    There are also part-time and pre-hawza courses, for those who are still preparing, or cannot yet commit to studying full-time. This might be ideal for you - I think some may even offer a way to study remotely - skyping into classes, fully interactive, but still distance learning.
    Alhamdulillah, we have a lot of options, and a very supportive community of scholars here in the UK.

    One of the reasons I joined ShiaChat was that I was investigating whether or not I wanted to enroll at a Hawza course in the UK this year

    Question.
    Can I apply to go to this Hawza just part-time? As I want to go university. Second do they accept anyone?
    I've been wanting to go to a Hawza for years tbh but now I think I'm mature enough to go.

    It is better to wear on your third finger of your right hand (i.e. the finger next to your pinky finger) and not a good idea to wear any on your left hand

    I have changed my viewpoint from the past. God created these lands and they belongs to Him and He created them for us to test us and live in peace and not war, and these lands have been for Kurds many years and they deserve to live in peace with their own Government and land. They have already suffered a lot being part of Iraq and there is no guarantee that it will not continue in future.
    Kings/Leaders and Lands ownership change by time and these are nothing but a test from Allah (swt).
