  1. As a Kurd I dislike him strongly, to put it mildy.
  2. Salam, I have been suffering from social anxiety for ever since I remember. It fluctuates on the levels, sometimes I feel less anxiety and fear but some days it just spirals out of control. I find it hard to go out, meet people, even talk to relatives. It has effected my education and social life. Does anyone have any advice from Islamic perspective how to deal with it? Aswell as just practically.
  3. Salam akhi, I don't want to argue with you but I really don't think that in itself is the definition of "Kaffir". If someone is a jahil rejects the prophethood of Muhammed(SAWA) but believes in the oneness of God. Does that make him a kafir if he is ignorant in regards to knowing about the prophet Muhammed(SAW)? https://www.al-islam.org/shiite-encyclopedia-ahlul-bayt-dilp-team
  4. Salam/Roj bash, I am a Kurd and a muslim and just joined shiachat as a resource for shia islam and as a means of understanding certain religious/theological topics.
  5. Salam, السلام عليكم‎‎, I would like to know any Shia Kurds on this board? Be them living in West or the MENA. Thanks.
  6. I think the problem with what you are saying in regards to stating, "Shia Islam is obviously the correct version of Islam". Is that saying that publicly or to Sunnis directly would drawn negative emotions from them in regards to to and shias. Since saying that from their perspective will automatically in their eyes mean that we deem their schools of thought to be invalid. Furthermore, It will just cause negative tensions and won't bring Sunni and Shia closer together. Though to note it is not wrong to hold such a view that our sect/school of thought is the correct one, since no one logically is going to adopt a version of Islam they don't believe in. Though I feel sometimes it is best to keep our mouths shut.
  7. Why do you engage in passive-aggresiveness? An emotional response automatically gets hold of you in relation to this topic. If you have nothing regarding the actual topic, then personally I would just say nothing.
  8. What do you say in your Nafilah prayers?
  9. Do Shias view them as non-believers? Purely religiously speaking.
  10. Thanks for the reply and for the hadiths you have provided. I can understand intercession, me personally I never make a dua to God through the Prophets or Imams. But my point and question is: Is not much better to establish a direct relationship with God(SWT) instead of through the Imams or Prophets? To me it just doesn't make sense, since I would not pray to the creator's creation but rather the creation himself.
  11. Many Shias call out Ya Ali Ya Hussain, isn't it a sin callong on others beside God? And if not, can you please provide evidence? Thanks.
  12. Can anyone tell me if the translation presented here is accurate? http://www.ummah.com/forum/showthread.php?124238-Truly-Understanding-the-Shia-Prayer And if not, can you offer me the most accurate translation please? Thank you.
  13. Thank you for the information. Yes I know it's an easy means of distiuingshing from Sunnis. I'm always relecutant to point the difference out being a Kurd from Iraq and Iran, I've seen secterianism at first hand.
  14. Hello, Can I ask why do Shias empthasize on being called "shias"? Why don't we just call ourselves Muslims?
  15. Thank you for the response. Well I don't listen to music that instill negative moral values. Such as encouragement of violence, drugs, sex etc... However yes I do listen to western music, but not the "mainstream" type of music.
  16. Hello, Can I ask why hasn't Imam Jafar Al-Sadiq made any books of his own? If he has, then please feel free to correct me. Since other schools of thought within Islam, all their Imams have written their own books. Supas
  17. I have heard that music is haram, is this true? I know that this question has probably been asked, but I need to know immediately please.
