  1. (salam) Baseless???.. he fully engaged in a war against Hadrat Ali(as).. what was he trying to do then??.. killing apostates (naudubillah)???.. making 'his land' fitna free?.. was he blind that he could not see the antics of his son?.. pitiless bureaucracy.. he is unworthy of praise of the sunnis.. you can't blame the shi3as for knocking him off the list of sahabas.. wassalaamun alaikum
  2. Without evidence.. its a useless deduction... no current shi3a leader have the mentality of a Zarqawi... its regrettable what the wahabies have done to their younger disciples... wassalaamun alaikum And brother wazz.. I am not more knowledgable than you.. but what to say of a person who believe that 'killing a shi3a will guarantee a place in heaven'??.. I can agree with you that the west provide for them the way to act.. but if a belief of a person is that strong.. I for one cannot deny that such a person is capable of killing a shi3a.. wassalaamun alaikum
  3. (salam) Can you deny that they were the US??.. can you deny that they could have been sunnis themselves.. I have read how Zarqawi use to address anyone who does not belong to his pack of hooligans.. maybe these sunnis were traitors or helping the foreigners in some way which is why they might have been slaughtered by the so called mujahideens.. making it seem like the shi3a militiamen did it.. take two brids with one stone.. or 40 stones.. wassalaamun alaikum
  4. (salam) A point that I just remembered If Ayesha use to take oaths when narrating the ahadith.. then whichever hadith is wrong.. that means she erred.. and according to the Quran.. she committed a grevious sin. I have heard many sunnis say that in one particular hadith.. Ayesha didn't know what she was talking about.. the hadith is as follows Volume 4, Book 53, Number 325: Narrated 'Aisha: (mother of the believers) After the death of Allah 's Apostle Fatima the daughter of Allah's Apostle asked Abu Bakr As-Siddiq to give her, her share of inheritance from what Allah's Apostle had left of th
  5. Wa 3laikassalaam This point was raised before but it neglects a specific line in the ayah which is... "...such as ye choose, for witnesses, so that if one of them errs, the other can remind her." It is not the 'type' of event which makes this choice necessary.. it is the nature of the witness... and hence the command.. therefore it can be applied to general situations as well where the witness is a lady. Ofcourse (or duh'o :) ).. it is the way we were created.. there are pros and cons for being either male or female which is why there are specific rules religion which govern the actions and
  6. (salam) ...Saudi Wahabi clerics had issued fatwa, or religious edicts, condemning the Shia as heretics. But they and the Sunni clerics were forced to retreat after Hizbollah’s perceived victory. The same clerics who earlier condemned the Shia have issued new fatwa supporting Hizbollah in its fight with Israel. On the government level, the deafening silence from Jordan, Egypt and Saudi Arabia after the Lebanon ceasefire is a clear sign of embarrassment after their earlier hostility to Hizbollah’s actions.... http://www.ft.com/cms/s/b5e204be-2e17-11db...00779e2340.html Any news on the actual f
  7. (salam) Alhamdulillah.. friends forever bro Ilyas :D.. you are right.. conflicting beliefs does produce animosity between two parties.. but everyone has a reason to believe in what they believe for which they should not be condemned and should be treated with respect... wassalaamun alaikum
  8. (salam) I asked this question before and Brother Tahasyed replied by saying that the lady who was the only one narrating these ahadith had 'daleels'.. I wanted to bring this topic up again because I didn't understand what the Taha meant. Two proofs to consider before my question: 002.282 YUSUFALI: O ye who believe! When ye deal with each other, in transactions involving future obligations in a fixed period of time, reduce them to writing Let a scribe write down faithfully as between the parties: let not the scribe refuse to write: as Allah Has taught him, so let him write. Let him who incurs
  9. (salam) In their defence.. sunnies say that umer wasn't the only the one present.. there were others as well.. f.ex. Hadrat Ali(as) who could have carried out the command of the Prophet(saww).. but the important fact to notice is that it was umer who OPPOSED the command of the Prophet(saww)... umer could have told someone else to bring the pen and the paper.. but no.. he had to oppose .. no wonder shi3a don't like him... wassalaamun alaikum
  10. Wa 3laikassalaam The muslims believe that the bible was revealed to Jesus(as) when he was born. Chapter of Mariam 019.029 YUSUFALI: But she pointed to the babe. They said: "How can we talk to one who is a child in the cradle?" PICKTHAL: Then she pointed to him. They said: How can we talk to one who is in the cradle, a young boy? SHAKIR: But she pointed to him. They said: How should we speak to one who was a child in the cradle? 019.030 YUSUFALI: He said: "I am indeed a servant of Allah: He hath given me revelation and made me a prophet; PICKTHAL: He spake: Lo! I am the slave of Allah.
  11. (salam) ^ Irony never ceases to amaze me :)... wassalaamun aalikum
  12. Wa 3laikassalaam InshaAllah.. and same to you brother All the answers provided are note-worthy.. I wanted to add a verse from the Quran 011.113 SHAKIR: And do not incline to those who are unjust, lest the fire touch you, and you have no guardians besides Allah, then you shall not be helped. Tabarra becomes compulsory according to this verse... those that the shi3a consider unjust are to be cursed and rightly so... wassalaamun alaikum
  13. (salam) 009.101 YUSUFALI: Certain of the desert Arabs round about you are hypocrites, as well as (desert Arabs) among the Medina folk: they are obstinate in hypocrisy: thou knowest them not: We know them: twice shall We punish them: and in addition shall they be sent to a grievous penalty. As for the hypocrites who slandered Ayesha to displease the Prophet(saww) 024.011 YUSUFALI: Those who brought forward the lie are a body among yourselves: think it not to be an evil to you; On the contrary it is good for you: to every man among them (will come the punishment) of the sin that he earned, a
  14. (salam) 002.030 YUSUFALI: Behold, thy Lord said to the angels: "I will create a vicegerent on earth." They said: "Wilt Thou place therein one who will make mischief therein and shed blood?- whilst we do celebrate Thy praises and glorify Thy holy (name)?" He said: "I know what ye know not." The shi3a believe that a rightful (political and religious) leader for the muslims must be sinless... Hadrat Adam(as) wasn't a leader of anyone in heaven.. he was made a leader on earth. Most loyal followers try to hide the faults of their leaders but for some reason.. sunnies tend to show the Prophets(a
  15. (salam) Asking for forgiveness doesn't always mean that the person committed a sin. 007.150 YUSUFALI: When Moses came back to his people, angry and grieved, he said: "Evil it is that ye have done in my place in my absence: did ye make haste to bring on the judgment of your Lord?" He put down the tablets, seized his brother by (the hair of) his head, and dragged him to him. Aaron said: "Son of my mother! the people did indeed reckon me as naught, and went near to slaying me! Make not the enemies rejoice over my misfortune, nor count thou me amongst the people of sin." 007.151 YUSUFALI: Mos
  16. Wa 3laikassalaam I never said the hadith was true so you can't ask me for proofs brother :).. my intention was just to indicate (what I consider) a flaw in the hadith... wassalaamun alaikum
  17. Wa 3alaikassalaam Hadrat Jabir(ra) was an ansari... it isn't likely that he was present in Mecca and he noticed this event involving a child of apparently no significance at all.. wassalaamun alaikum
  18. Wa 3laikassalaam Also Hadrat Uzair(as)... the Companions of the cave.. the person who pointed out his murderer when striked the bone of a cow during the time of Hadrat Musa(as)... and ofcourse.. the birds of Hadrat Ibraheem(as)... wassalaamun alaikum
  19. (salam) Upped for syed_shia.. wassalaamun alaikum
  20. (salam) Volume 5, Book 57, Number 111: Narrated Al-Miswar bin Makhrama: Allah's Apostle said, "Fatima is a part of me, and whoever makes her angry, makes me angry." Volume 4, Book 53, Number 325: Narrated 'Aisha: (mother of the believers) After the death of Allah 's Apostle Fatima the daughter of Allah's Apostle asked Abu Bakr As-Siddiq to give her, her share of inheritance from what Allah's Apostle had left of the Fai (i.e. booty gained without fighting) which Allah had given him. Abu Bakr said to her, "Allah's Apostle said, 'Our property will not be inherited, whatever we (i.e. prophet
  21. Wa 3alaikassalaam Sun god was named Shams.. cuz it means 'the sun' :) As for Manaf.. ".. Ibn Kalbi knows nothing of its whereabouts except that menstruating women were bound to keep themselves at a distance from it. "The name does not occur either in the Qur'an or in classical hadith. It derives from a root n-w-f, which in several Semitic languages conveys the meaning of 'being elevated'." http://www.esamskriti.com/html/new_essay_p...id=133&count1=2 More concrete evidence needed to prove that Hadrat Abu Talib(as) was a non-muslim (naudubillah)... wassalaamun alaikum
  22. (salam) City of Knowledge hadith This might help.. wassalaamun alaikum
  23. (salam) Did you know that Hadrat Ali(as) was ready to pardon his murderer if he would have survived?? His words were... "If I will survive, I know what I will do with him. It is however better for me to pardon him, for it is my ethics to forgive. We, the Ahl al-Bayt, return on those who do wrong against us in forgiveness and generosity". Sunnies are also servents of Allah(swt)... most also love the Ahlul Bait(as) :)... wassalaamun alaikum
  24. (salam) I heard that Yazid(la) sent an army to crush a rebellion of Abdullah ibn Zubayr in Makkah and Medina after Karballa and during the occupation of these cities the Ka3ba was destroyed... Yazid(la) died before they could capture the city.. so where was the repentence?? Either I am ill-informed or they don't know the truth yet.. wassalaamun alaikum
