  1. - Absolutely Correct - Yes. Noah, Abraham and Prophets from Desendants of Abraham are all Prophets of Islam. - The messages of Prophet got corrupted, so Allah (SWT) use to sent another Prophet to correct the messages of Previous Prophets. - Al-Quran says that Prophet Like Moses is Muhammad (pbuh) . - One last thing, Daystar. The Messages brought by all Prophets which niether Prophet contradicted was : To Believe in One GOD and do Righteous Work.
  2. - Daystar just replied to your previous post where you said that "I don't think John was sinless because he experienced death: "The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." (Rom. 6:23)" You said as John died he was sinful, so to that I replied that Jesus also died. - If John didn't die for our sins, that doesn't make him sinful. - John was right in doubting that Jesus was Messiah because the Jews at the time of Jesus believed that Messiah would be Powerful King of Jews who would save them from their enemies but which didn't seem to be happening. - It was not John's fault that Jesus contradicted the prophecies of Messiah in OT and brought new concept of Messiah. (ie, mission of Messiah to die on cross and would complete the Prophecies of Messiah in Tanakh on his Second-Coming).
  3. - I said this because many Christians believe that Jesus is god. - About Polygamy, Bible does not forbid or treat it as a Sin. So Polygamy is Allowed but is not Obligatory.
  4. You are not All-Knowing. How did you come to know that Dogs do not have feelings or beliefs??? Did you read Hudhud story mentioned in Al-Quran. Hudhud said to Hadhrat Sulayman that People of Saba were prostrating to Sun instead of Prostrating to Allah (SWT).
  5. Abid Hassan, it isn't nice to ask question like this. Simply say that can any Muslim person who have good knowledge on Sikhism, post their views on the beliefs of Sikhs.
  6. - Just tell me what do you mean by following his footsteps??? - Right now, I am thinking that by following footsteps of Jesus you mean do what Jesus said. So should I become blind because I do watch movies that cause me to sin. "Woe to the world because of the things that cause people to sin! Such things must come, but woe to the man through whom they come! If your hand or your foot causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to enter life maimed or crippled than to have two hands or two feet and be thrown into eternal fire. And if your eye causes you to sin, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to enter life with one eye than to have two eyes and be thrown into the fire of hell. (Matthew 18:7-9) - You didn't understand my question. I didn't say that you said that polygamy is sin but I asked you this question because if OT expressly states that Polygamy is sin then it shows that we should totally refrain from polygamy if we were to follow Law given by God. - Where did I say that Noah had more than one wife??? I just asked about Noah and other Righteous People because you said before Jesus, we had no example to follow - Why not then we take Angels as our Role-Models??? Neshama, I think you didn't understand what I was trying to say. What I meant was that Humans needs Humans as Role Models, Angels need Angels as Role-models. As Jesus has different nature than us so we can't take Jesus as our Role Model. We can only take Adam, Noah, Abraham, Moses, John as our Role-Models because they are Human Beings like us. * By the way, according to Judaism - Angels cannot sin. They believe Satan is faithful angel who only obeys orders of God. Just goto http://www.shiachat.com/forum/index.php?sh...70entry724370 where Ron answers Jewish view on Satan. So if Angels are sinless, then God could have given us Angels as Role-Models before he sent Jesus. But God knows that Humans need Humans as their Role Models. I said this because as Muslim men take Prophets and Muslim women take Prophet's Mothers (ie, Sarah, Moses's Mother, Mary, etc) as their Role-Models. Similarly Jew women also take Sarah, Joseph's Mother as their Role-Models. They were not polygamist, so Muslim women don't practice polyandry. And Niether Quran say that they (ie, Sarah, Moses's Mother) practiced Polyandry. Simple. As Bible states that Abraham, Jacob, David, Solomon were Polygamist - Men can be Polygamist. And as Bible states that Sarah, Moses' mother had one husband and did not practice polyandry - so Women should not practice Polyandry.
  7. - Can you provide some examples for your above statement that all religions are derived from Vedas and how did you reach to such conclusion?? - What are the views of Indologists on the starting of oral tradition of vedas? - Again, can you provide internal and external evidence for above statements. * By Internal I mean, Can you provide evidence from vedas for your above statements. * By External I mean, Can you provide Archaeological and Historical evidences for vedas to prove that vedas are reliable and for your above statements? Thanks.
  8. Even Jesus died on the cross. So it means Jesus also was not sinless. :P
  9. - I meant that as Jesus was sinless and we are sinful and it is impossible for us to follow Jesus because following him is to become sinless. - First, tell me where in Tanakh does God say that Polygamy is a Sin? True - God does not punish for some sins because He gives us time to repent from that sin and ask for forgiveness and never again commit that sin. So how would we repent after becoming polygamist??? We can't become monogamist after we have become polygamist. - So Noah, Abraham, Moses, Aaron were not examples to follow? Jews accept them as their Role-Models with the exception of not following their errors just as you said in your previous posts. - As I said Jesus as example to follow is unfair because we people are 100% human beings and Jesus is god according to Christians. We people want humans like us as our Role-Models. About Women being monogamist, Ask them :P Just show me one verse from the Bible which says that Believing Women of Bible like Sarah, Mother of Moses, Eshter, etc had more than one husband at single time (ie, polyandry). To clear any misunderstanding, I am not challenging you but am asking you to show me the verse from Bible. - God does not punish for doing something which He does not consider to be a Sin. Polygamy is not a Sin. Just show me verse which expressly forbids Polygamy and treats Polygamy as a Sin. - I said Married Men who fear that they will commit fornication, it is better for them to marry.
  10. Thanks for replying. Do you have some evidence for this??? Why do they believe vedas to be authority? I mean to say do they believe vedas to be word of god??? Because I not only want Hindu's views but also want Respected non-Hindu Scholars views on Vedas. Thanks.
  11. - Namaz-e-Chashst has 2 rakats and is performed in the same way as Fajr Salat. - Mazher's, I don't know Arabic name. In Pakistan we call it Namaz-e-Chashst. This Salat has many benefits, one of them is Rizq (Sustenance).
  12. It starts from 9:00am and ends at 11:00am. It should be read within these 2 hours.
  13. - When we look at ourselves (ie, inside our bodies and our outside features) and the Universe, we see Intelligence behind it. - Secondly, it is impossible for me to imagine Universe and Living Beings created by unconcious, accidental, directionless processes.
  14. Here are the verses from Al-Quran. Allah (SWT) says about Hadhrat Ibrahim asking for forgiveness for his father Ibrahim would not have asked forgiveness for his father but for a promise he made to him, and when it became clear to him that he was an enemy of Allah, he renounced him. Ibrahim was tender-hearted and forbearing. (9:114) In this verse Hadhrat Ibrahim promises his father that he will ask GOD to forgive him He said, 'Peace be upon you. I will ask my Lord to forgive you. He has always honoured me. I will separate myself from you and all you call upon besides Allah and I will call upon my Lord. It may well be that, in calling on my Lord, I will not be disappointed.' (19:47-48) In this verse Hadhrat Ibrahim is fulfilling his promise of asking forgiveness for his father. And lastly Hadhrat Ibrahim (as) is asking forgiveness for his biological parents and believers Our Lord! Forgive me and my parents and the believers on the Day the Reckoning takes place.' (14:35-41)
