  1. So far, I have done 4/5 prayers out of 0/5. I still miss Subh sometimes. Well, school has started and I've to wake up early morning so I think I can fix that. Thanks to all your support here =]
  2. First of all, I thank all you guys for helping me here. It's been tough. The only Shia I know socially is through Twitter, and even those Shia's indulge themselves in dunya stuff. Today is 31/12/2013. We're going in early for new year. New year = New me. I shall change, for myself, for my parents, and for the Imam of our time. Also, unrelated, there's going to be a gathering today on our capital. Protesting the government's recent price hike-up. Almost everything is been raised. The government, on the other hand, thinks this is a coup. It's good to see the unity between Sunni's, Shia'a and Non-Muslims.
  3. First off, no, not and ode to R.E.M. eventhough there's a tilde (~) after the title. Secondly, Assalamualaikum brothers and sisters. Some of you know about me, some of you don't. I know it's been quite some time since I've posted but, y'know, I haven't been feeling a lot "religious" lately. Well, here's a summary: I changed my madhab from Shafie Sunni to Ja'farri Shia (yay, congrats me). Stupid me told my closest friends. Afterwards, told my parents hoping they would accept it (mind you this was the first month of me being Shia). Parents and I talked about "The filth of the Shia". Friend I mentioned earlier got me sent to the disclipinary teachers on allegations of "Spreading the faith of evil". Parents got called. We talked, again. And, with that last talk, I.. just stopped. I just said "[edited] all". I stopped studying religion. I stopped doing everything religious. Worst of all, I stopped praying. I got interested in politics and similar things. Learned about the Communist, the Socialist. I, somehow, was intrigued by the Communist. And as you know, one of the things about communism is that there is no deity. As a result, my body now has two parts. One supports Communism, Socialism, Secularism, etc. And the other supports my religion. Its feels like there's two personality's in me. I've become kind of like, an agnostic. I'd rather not talk to my parents. They've gone through hell when I said I was a Shia. Not going to make them go back saying I've lost my faith. I'd prefer talking to someone like, an ustaz for example. Unfortunately, the ustazs of Malaysia are not that smart. Popular but not smart. Heck, we even have a reality show revolving around ustaz. Malaysia is pretty damn weird. This is what also triggered my hatred to the Muslim community here. Hypocrites. Pure Islamopocracy. "The Shi'ites have no place here" while the constituon said "freedom of religion". Malaysia has one of the biggest casino's in the world. What do the people of JAKIM (our department on religion) do? Catch Shia's of course. I was never bought up in Islamic household so I expected me being agnostic. Heck, the first time I touched the Qur'an was age 6. First time I did five full prayers was at age 10. First time I fasted for a whole month was at age 11. I know most of you are going to be mad at me for even doubting God. But hey, the big man says He'll forgive anything but Shirk. So yeah. I was browsing twitter a while back and saw the hadith: "When a man's sins are numerous and he has no good deeds to atone for them, Allah afflicts him with sorrow to remove them from him" I cried, and thought I should get help for this. So, here I am.
  4. Assalamualaikum to all of you. I heard that this Monday will mark the end of this year's Hijri calendar and Tuesday will be the 1st Muharram of 1435. So, any specific dua's to be read? Also, I forgot what we are supposed to do on the first 10 days of Muharram. I've been restricted of studying the Shia sect by my school and parents.
  5. Lecturer: The Shiahs WORSHIP Ali (ra)! They have a different Quran! *mumbles on* Me: How dare the Shiahs do such shirk! Bid'ah, bid'ah! *blindlessly nods*
  6. Assalamualaikum! Gosh it's been so long. Well then, my finals are over. What do you suggest I do now? Only thing I'm doing right now is play the whole Command & Conquer series. On a different topic, I've been studying Norse mythology. Y'know, stuff like Odin, the Nine Worlds, The giant Ymir and how we came to be. I gotta say they're pretty awesome. On another different topic, I'm no longer suspected as a Shia in my school. They don't call me Muslim either, they call me a Shafi'e Sunni. Also, I got invited to an Islamic camp to learn about the threats of Tashayyu. I agreed to come.
  7. There's a great chance we live in the same place! LOL! Almost everyone in my city have a prejudice against the Shias. Our Friday khutbah always revolves around the dangers of Tashayyu'. Looks like we've the same fate, akhi :) Waalaikum salam, mak cik. Tak perlulah kita memanggil orang lain dengan cara tak elok. Mak cik jaga hal mak cik, saya jaga hal saya :) Hal mak bapak jangan ungkit, sensitif cek bahagian tu.
  8. The school councellor set up a meeting to bring me back to "true" Islam. I'll be meeting the schools' top ustaz and ustazah and they'll try to indoctrinate my faith. I shall keep remembering Ahlul-Bayt (as) all through it. Wassalam, Izzuddin.
  9. Kaaaay, I'm pretty sure I posted something after this guy ^^ Anyways, Assalamu alaikum.
  10. Have you not heard of the arrest of 2 Shias recently here? Have you forgotten the arrest of over 200 Shia muslims in 2010 here? People get arrested here for different idealogys. The Saudi Arabian Shias have support from their family, their friends and their community. I have no one here. Parents are nasibis, friends started calling me a kuffar and there is no community here where I live. Give me a break dude, just stop posting here and move on. Don't like it? Go elsewhere, I'm not even trying to mess with you. P/s. I'm currently studying Farsi. The usual way people study language by listening to songs, poems and watching movies.
  11. It is official. I am holding my visits here to study.

  12. Pop quiz yesterday, I had to put (ra) behind the name of the man that helped burned the house of Fatima al-Zahra (as) and the woman that fought against Imam.Ali (as). For the record, I posted this here because I need support. You have no idea how hard it is to be a minority in Malaysia. Heck, eventhough the ulama's here claim that the other 3 Sunni madhabs are fine. They heavily condemn any other teachings against the Shafi'e madhab. That's just the Sunni madhabs, what do you expect for the Shia madhabs? By the late 90's the ulama's here all call the Shia infidels. Don't even try to lecture me about taqiyyah. They're gonna find out sooner or later. I've tried my best and so far it's working.
  13. I tell the one's who asked. For the days since this post started,I have not had a serious discussion about Shi'ism. Taqiyyah is still on-going. Wasallam brothers/sisters!
  14. They are interested in conversation. But sometimes, they feel like they're Dr. Zakir Naik. The only person speaking and ignoring the other person's points. I explained the basic stuff like how to pray, why Aliyun Waliullah exists, why we do Tatbir. They're just having a hard time understanding all this. I was like them back then, a hardline Sunni. Heck, I said to myself a year ago "If I fail at everything in Malaysia, I'm gonna learn Arabic and join the FSA!" I, too, was ignorant of the Shia's. I keep telling the people "Study these things yourselves. Don't listen to the biased Ulamas!" But Malaysians aren't used to new things. So it is going to take time informing them about the madhab of Ahlul-Bayt (as)
