  5. http://imhussain.com/e_index.php?ac=news&id=203 The president of Russia-s republic of Chechnya has inaugurated a new, $10 million mosque in an Arab village in Israel. Ramzan Kadyrov said on Sunday that it was an honor to visit -this good and holy land- during a stop in the village of Abu Ghosh. Isa Jabar, the village-s mayor, says Chechnya donated $6 million for the mosque. He says some villagers trace their ancestry to 16th century Chechnya and the Caucus region. -The mosque will become a symbol of Abu Gosh,- he said, -and even though this is a religious structure, it will also be a symbol of the brotherhood between religions and peoples. Three of the minarets symbolize the three monotheistic religions and the fourth minaret represents the rest of the world-s religions.- The mosque was built in the Ottoman Turkish style, the favored architectural style in Chechnya. It is situated not far from Route 1, and features four minarets, making it the only mosque of its kind in Israel. Source: News Agencies

  7. Fatima Zahra: The Supreme Example of a Perfect Human Being http://imhussain.com/e_index.php?ac=news&id=187 Fatima al-Zahraa belongs to the noblest family ever existing throughout the whole history of mankind. Her distinguished father was the very last messenger of Allah, a personality that the Holy Quran introduces him as Oswatun Hasanah (the Best Paradigm). Mother of Holy Fatima was a pure lady named Khadija, a godly woman with unparalleled virtues and merits, who dedicated all her wealth for the sake of promotion of Islam. According to the Islamic calendar, Fatima Zahra was born in the 20th day of Arabic lunar month Jamadi al-Thani, five years after Bi-tha (appointment of Mohammad to the position of divine prophethood) and 8 years before Hegira (immigration of the Holy Prophet from Mecca to Medina). The story of her birth is a wonderful one. The Prophet – through a divine command – was ordered to seclude himself from contact with Khadija for 40 days. Despite all his love for his dear wife, the Holy Prophet did not go home in compliance with Allah-s order. During the whole 40-day period of his seclusion, Mohammad was engaged in prayers, fasting, and spiritual connections with his Lord. The Holy Prophet had sent a courier to Khadija to notify her of the matter and assure her that there was nothing wrong with her and that the event had happened as a result of Allah`s command. When the seclusion stage came to its end, at the time of Iftar (while the Holy Prophet was preparing himself to end his fasting by eating food), he heard the familiar voice of Archangel Gabriel: "Allah sends His salaams (peace) to you! Get ready to receive the celestial gift from your Lord!" Then angels brought down a tray full of heavenly fruits for Mohammad . Gabriel told him: "Eat from this heavenly dish tonight; then go to Khadija; Almighty Allah has willed to create a pure child out of this blissful food." Thus Fatima was conceived from the fruits of paradise. FOR THE ENTIRE ARTICLE PLEASE CLICK ON THE LINK BELOW THE PICTURE!

  11. http://imhussain.com/e_index.php?ac=news&id=131 The grille-construction cadre of the holy shrine of al-Abbas progressed to the advanced stages that include assembling the triangles of the holy grille. The manager of the grille-construction cadre, Mr. Raad Hassan al-Khafaji, clarified “There are 14 triangles that surround the upper section of the grille. These new triangles were made and designed similarly to the prior triangles that are placed on the current grille with inscriptions and plant-designed decorations, which have been adapted from experts. This process requires accuracy because it is done manually not with any machinery and that needs extra effort and time.” Al-Khafaji added "Each triangle weighs 5kg, measures 1mm in thickness, 60cm in width and 1m in length. All were made using 99.9 carat silver and 24 carat gold in order to gain elegance and greater resistance." It is worth to mention that the design of the new grille is practically identical comparing it to the current grille, but with several additions, upgrades and modifications. The reason behind keeping this unique design is its exceptionality from all the other grilles as this grille was made in 1964 under the auspices of the supreme religious authority at that time, Ayatollah Sayyid Muhsin al-Hakeem. 14. Islam and Racism http://imhussain.com/e_index.php?ac=news&id=125 The "Unity" is the basis of Islamic theology. and therefore "Unity" is the ground of its philosophy of society. All humanity is one; a great unit. Its individuals are members of one society incorporate, which is so comprehensive that it includes all differences within its oneness. The many find within the one that brotherhood, affection, friendliness and human blood-relationship which is of the essence. Hence distinctions do not become differences - not colour, nor culture, nor class, nor custom, nor conversational idiom. Mutual respect as fellow-humans in pursuit of the common good is the rule throughout the world-wide society of Islam, without superiority or inferiority, since all mankind were created in one human soul to start with, from whom man and woman, black and white, poor and rich, civilised and savage, all evolve, sharing one common humanity Truly "God made of one flesh all the nations upon earth it haply they may feel after Him and find Him." So it is written (Qur-an: Sura Nisa "The Women" 1st verse). "Reverence God Who created you all from one person", leaving no room for nationalistic divisions. Differences in skin and tongue are merely tokens of the Creator-s power. They call on men to study the Holy Will and Might of Him Who from one elemental root created so many variations of colour countenance and conversation : as it is written (Qur-an: Sura Ar-Room "Rome": verse 21) "Signs of His Power are His creation of heaven and of earth, and the varieties of tongues and skins; in all of which are sermons for the wise." It is further written (Qur-an : Sura II, Baqara "The Heifer" verse 213): "Mankind was one single nation. Then we sent messengers to them to give them glad tidings and warnings; and with them we sent the Book in truth to judge between people in matters wherein they differed . . . and God by His grace guided believers to the common truth on points about which they differed; for God guides whom He will onto a path that is straight." This verse reveals that in the beginning mankind was one single nation without differences or splits or conflicts but enjoying unity, cooperation and harmony. The martyred Imam Ali left us the priceless legacy of the Nahj-ul-Balaghe, amongst which is his historic address to Malek al-Ashtar in which he expresses this truth as follows: "Make thine heart a throne of mercy towards thy people. Show them perfect love and care. Never treat them as a ravening beast that tears and rends their properties and their persons. For they are in one of two groups. Either they are thy brothers in the Faith- or they are thy fellow-human beings of one flesh with thine own." This broad view embraces all races, all cultures, all tongues. Unity and union amongst individuals will subsist under the aegis of unity of thought and spirit, oneness of conviction and aim; nor can any unity obtain save under that orderliness. Should a society fall into division of thought and conviction, its bonds of affection will be loosened and when adversity arises, material needs will increase differences, conflicts and tensions. That is why the strongest tie of unity amongst nations is the religious bond. It is in this bond of union that Islam has brought people and peoples together, freeing them from the trammels of division and difference, and calling them to establish the bases of accord and agreement in a society of brotherhood which is the natural state of man. Islam treats mankind as one great family of brothers and sisters. In the human family the relationship of father and child is a stronger bond than that of brotherhood. But the qualities of respect and of difference of age deprive the father-child relationship of full equality. That is why it is brotherhood which Islam exalts as the expression of that perfect and heartfelt affection which should reign within the human family. It should reign on the surface and in the depths. Brotherhood is therefore the Qur-an-s call. The most sublime levels of love and the most sincere of friendships are those which arise between Muslims. They are called brothers because of their brotherhood, because of the existence of the fact of this most tender and beautiful of manifestations of equality; it is not the command to be brothers which called the fact into existence. The command was uttered, but the natural upwelling of the spirit engendered by that surrender (tasleem) to God (which Islam is) issues in brotherhood. This brotherhood is deeper and higher than mere natural brotherliness, for it is the unity of a shared aim, the unity of shared convictions, the unity of joint beliefs, the unity of hearts. It is written (Qur-an: Sura, Hujurat "The Inner Apartments" verse 10): "Believers are a single brotherhood. Make peace amongst your brothers and fear God that ye may receive mercy." The Prophet decreed: "The members of the assembly of the believers are by love and affection one body, and any limb of that which is pained causes all the other limbs to suffer in sympathy. If any individual Muslim falls into a painful situation all the other members of the community must run to his help and share in his sorrow." (Safeenatu-l-Behar, Vol. I, p.13.) 15. http://imhussain.com/e_index.php?ac=news&id=90 The 28-year-old American Rose Aslan, doctoral candidate at the University of North Carolina, spoke to us regarding her convert to Islam saying: -I began seeking the true religion at the age of 12, when I felt a spiritual emptiness. I then began comparing different religions and beliefs, and for the vast number of Buddhists in my area, I became a Buddhist hoping to locate what I was seeking for. I remained on the Buddhist religion for three years, however, I still wasn-t convinced. In 2001, I traveled to Turkey and Iran and for the first time in my life, I entered Islamic mosques and holy shrines. I felt a spiritual comfort I-ve never felt in any other place.- She added, -I studied the Arabic language in Canada, because it is crucial to understand the language of the Holy Quran in order to fully comprehend its ideals. After that, I traveled to Egypt, where I announced my conversion to Islam. Islam for me was the most complete religion. She continued, -I am committed to be an Islamic science professor with the purpose of elucidating the true image of the Islamic religion to non-Muslims, unlike the false image the minority are reflecting. For that reason, I am preparing a PhD dissertation concerning the history of the holy shrines, and along with my research was to visit the holy shrines in Iraq such as the holy shrine of Imam Ali in Najaf and the holy shrines of Imam Hussein and al-Abbas in Karbala, in order to be nearby the source of knowledge.- She ended by saying, -Prior to my arrival to Iraq, my family and friends advised me to come back home because I will get killed there, however I believed in the opposite of what is being mentioned in the news and I wanted to prove that myself, so I came to Iraq and I found it completely different that how most people think of it.- Note: We are the International Media Unit in the holy shrine of Imam Hussain, Karbala Iraq. 16. http://imhussain.com/e_index.php?ac=news&id=85 Arba-een – All Roads Lead Towards Karbala2013-12-4 “Peace unto Husain, who established the true faith by giving his life in the way of Allah; a martyr who underwent untold hardships at the hand of rogues and transgressors! Peace on the hostage surrounded by the tightening circle of sorrow and grief; killed by a horde of savages.” Karbala is once again the cynosure of all eyes. As we go to the press, millions have already assembled on the land where history’s most heartrending tragedy occurred 1372 lunar years ago, while millions more are headed towards it from all over Iraq, as well as from Iran and other parts of the globe, for commemoration of Arba’een – the traditional 40th day after the anniversary of the immortal epic of Ashura. The deafening cries of “Ya Husain” is reverberating in and around Karbala, obviously in response to the lone voice of “hal min naserin yansorouni (is there any other helper to come to my aid)” raised by the Prophet’s Grandson on the afternoon of 10th Muharram 61 A.H. when all his companions and male kinsmen, including his 6-month infant son, Ali Asghar, had been brutally slaughtered by the bloodthirsty Omayyad hordes. Yazid, who masqueraded as caliph or political head of the Muslim realm, had thought of eradicating forever the fundamentals of Islam and the name of Prophet Muhammad by cruelly killing Imam Husain – whose merits are enshrined in the Holy Qur’an (3:61; 33:33; 42:23; 76:5-22, etc) – but his plot utterly failed, thanks to the unique jihad of the Martyr’s indomitable sister and son. Sayeda Zainab and Imam Zain al-Abedin, though captives in the tyrant’s court, quickly turned the tables on the regime through their eloquently electrifying sermons that ripped off the mask of hypocrisy from the face of the Omayyads, and forced Yazid to release them and send them back to Medina – but not before the Prophet’s granddaughter had held the Majlis al-Aza (mourning ceremony) in the enemy’s camp itself, thereby laying the foundations of the mourning ceremonies which the faithful have continued to hold all over the world in the months of Muharram and Safar ever since. Meanwhile, in Karbala, where the Omayyad hordes gave a state funeral with a military salute to their dead, but left the decapitated and dismembered bodies of Imam Husain and the other martyrs exposed to the sun and wind, the first pilgrim to the makeshift grave of the Prophet’s grandson was the Prophet’s venerable companion, Jaber ibn Abdullah al-Ansari. Now almost blind with age, the person who earlier was at the side of the Prophet to congratulate Imam Ali and Fatima Zahra at the birth of Imam Husain, threw himself on the grave with loud wails and lamentations. “Habib man la ya’raf al-habib (how could a friend not recognize a friend)”, moaned Jaber and saluted the Imam with a lengthy salutation starting with the words: “As-salamo alaika ya Aba Abdallah (peace be upon you O Aba Abdallah).” Today, not just the pilgrims to the holy shrine in Karbala, but the devotees of the Prophet’s Ahl al-Bayt all over the world, have kept this virtuous tradition alive by saluting the Master of Martyrs on the day of Arba’een. Interestingly, the Prophet’s 11th Infallible Successor, Imam Hasan al-Askari, has considered the Ziyarat al-Arba’een to be one of the five signs of a true believer. The other four signs are: performing 51 rak’ats of prayer daily (17 obligatory plus 34 recommended), reciting Bismillah-ir-Rahman-ir-Raheem in a raised voice during the daily ritual prayers, wearing ring on a finger of the right hand, and prostrating on the clay during sajdah in the ritual prayers. 17. http://imhussain.com/e_index.php?ac=news&id=66 The holy shrine of Imam Hussain captured a photo of a cedar tree bleeding red liquid in one of Karbala's homes coinciding with the month of Muharram. Sayyid Sabeeh al-Saedi, the owner of the house, stated -we noticed this miracle on the first night of Muharram when the black banner of Imam Hussain was hoisted above his dome. Al-Saedi added that he notified an agricultural engineer and he assured him that there wasn-t any scientific reason for this miracle, however its timing drew many attentions. One of the people attending the scene confirmed that this is a Rabbinic case proving to the entire world the amount of oppression Imam Hussain withstood. It is worth mentioning that a piece of dirt, displayed in the museum of Imam Hussain, transformed to a bloody red color last Muharram. One of the significances of the month of Muharram for Alevis is the Karbala incident. This refers to when the grandson of the Prophet Muhammad, Imam Hussein was martyred. It is associated with sadness and remembering the martyrdom of Imam Hussein for both Shia and Sunni Muslims all over the world. The leader of World Ehl-i Beyt, Fermani Altun said, -the sadness we feel for the incident does not only belong to one group – Shia - but is common value of entire Muslims.- Parliament Speaker of Turkey, Cemil Cicek said -Imam Hassan and Imam Hussein are also important figures for Sunnis,- adding that -we all have the names Hassan and Hussein in our families.- President of the Constitutional Court of Turkey, Hasim Kilic also said that -the madness we live in need to turn into a peace. 19. http://imhussain.com/e_index.php?ac=news&id=54 Muharram is commemorates the martyrdom of Hazrat Imam Hussain, the grandson of the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him). Muharram is the first month of Islamic calendar. During this month, while on a journey, Hazrat Imam Hussain, his family members and a number of his followers were surrounded by the forces of Yazid, the Muslim ruler of the time. During the siege, they were deprived of food and water and many of them were put to death. The incident happened at a place called Karbala in Iraq in 61st year after Hijra. This dispute was result of a disagreement among Muslims on the question of succession after the martyrdom of Hazrat Ali. Some sects of Muslims hold meetings where speeches are made on the happenings of Karbala and on the lives of martyrs. The Shias, however, observe this month in a different fasion. As Muharram, the first month of the Muslim year, approaches, they put on black clothes, as black is regarded as a color of mourning. Majalis (assemblies) are held every day during the first nine days where shia orators relate the incident of the martyrdom of Hazrat Imam Hussain and his party in a great detail. On the 10th day of Muharram, large processions are formed and the devoted followers parade the streets holding banners and carrying models of the mausoleum of Hazrat Imam Hussain and his people, who fell at Karbala. It is a sad occasion and everyone in the procession chants -Ya Hussain-, with loud wails of lamentation. Generally a white horse beautifully decorated for the occasion, is also included in the procession, to mark the empty mount of Hazrat Imam Husain after his martyrdom. During these first ten days of Muharram, drinking posts are also set up temporarily by the Shia community where water and juices are served to all, free of charge. He also added that my university is honored to have you among its scholars & students for these interesting topics. They enjoyed the four discussions and expressed their willing to have more extended collaborations with Islamic Republic of Iran-. It is interesting to know Palermo is much closer to the East than the West in terms of its life-style & the public culture. Muslim governors ruled in the area almost for three centuries. Some churches in the city still reflect to the visitors the Islamic architecture and Islamic ancient fonts from the Qur’an. It is worthy of mentioning that this year Dr. Abbas Ali Shamli present his seminars about Shia Islam at ten universities of Italy. This event, by and large, has undoubtedly brought a big chance to introduce the school of Ahlul Bayt at an academic level to both university scholars & students. 22. http://imhussain.com/e_index.php?ac=news&id=40 British Muslim women who wear the hijab feel generally better about their body image than those who don’t wear the hijab suggests research published in the British Journal of Psychology today. The research, conducted by Dr Viren Swami from the University of Westminster and colleagues looked at body image issues amongst British Muslim women. Dr Swami explained: “In the West anxiety about body image, for women, is so prevalent it’s considered normal. This study aimed to explore how these attitudes differ within a British Muslim community.” A total of 587 Muslim women aged from 18 to 70 years from London participated in a number of tests. From this group 218 women stated they never used the hijab and 369 women said they used some form of the hijab at least now and then. Participants undertook a number of questionnaires that asked them to rate their own feelings of body dissatisfaction, how much pressure the media put on them to be attractive and how religious they were. They were also asked to match their own figure to a set of female silhouette images that ranged from emaciated to obese. The results showed that women who wore the hijab generally had a more positive body image, were less influenced by the media’s beauty ideals and placed less importance on appearance. Dr Swami said: “Although the results showed only a small difference between those who wear or don’t wear the hijab it does suggest the hijab offers Muslim women a small protective effect in terms of feeling positive about their body image. It appears that those who choose to wear it are better able to distance themselves from the Western thin ideal. “These results may have useful implications for intervention programmes aimed at promoting healthier body image among Muslim women in the West. For example, by identifying those aspects of hijab use that are associated with more positive body appreciation in future studies, it might be possible to isolate factors that can be targeted in intervention programmes.” The journal, entitled “Is the Hijab Protective? An Investigation of Body Image and Related Constructs Among British Muslim Women”, can be accessed here. Imam Muhammad al-Baqir says -He who goes to the holy shrine of Imam Hussain on the day of Arafa will receive the same reward as going to Hajj and Umra one thousand times each.- The holy shrine mobilized all its members and cadres to greet the visitors and provide the best services for them, including facilitating their access to the holy shrine to perform the rituals. It is worthy to mention that the holy city of Karbala witnesses the influx of countless pilgrims during several occasions such as Ashura, Arbaeen, Arafa Day and the 15th of Shaaban. http://imhussain.com/e_index.php?ac=news&id=38 Note: We are the International Media Unit in the holy shrine of Imam Hussain, Karbala Iraq. Lebanese experts confirmed that the artifact dated back to five thousand years ago, during the time of the Phoenicians. The relic (40cm long and 20cm wide) is carved in the form of a ship, symbolizing that Hussein is the -Rescue Ship- as reported by Prophet Muhammad and hence the idea of the gift to the Museum of Imam Hussain. Sayyid Dhyai al-Deen, the Director of the Museum, said -Since the opening of the Museum of Imam Hussain, numerous artifacts were gifted from Ahl al-Bayt lovers.- It is mentioned that the museum celebrated with the family who gifted the artifact from the Republic of Lebanon that was provided by Dr. Kaplan Kaplan, Chairman of the Council of the South, responsible for building the infrastructure in southern Lebanon. http://imhussain.com/e_index.php?ac=news&id=37 Note: We are the International Media Unit in the holy shrine of Imam Hussain, Karbala Iraq.
