Iranian Protests
Essentials123 and 3 others reacted to AbdusSibtayn for a topic
Not at all. If anything the security personnel are showing restraint and not using force- much less discharging firearms- unless force is used from the other side. However, snipers and armored vehicles with machine guns have been deployed after the fifth columnist terrorists have begun using firearms themselves and trying to storm police and military buildings. I have video evidence, and will be happy to share it privately, but not here, in order to prevent baiting from trolls and bots.4 points -

There are actually peaceful protests happening under police protection in many towns, because otherwise the rioters come and attack even the peaceful protests, and the security personnel protecting them. There was a peaceful protest in Kermanshah where the protestors were handing out sweets and flowers to police staff, and then rioters came and gave them death threats. I've seen the videos myself. While I fully sympathize with support the people's right to protest the economic mismanagement of the country, these terrorists and Mossad/CIA handled traitors in the guise of protestors deserve no mercy.4 points -

This was taken on the 30th December 2017, in Isfahan. Behind me was a line of riot police. On the left, on the bridge were the rioters coming towards us. But far away enough for me to take some sightseeing pics. We then made it through the riot police cordon and tried to get a taxi. I still regret not taking pic of Maryam with the riot police.4 points -

Salam The Commander of the faithful peaceful upon him, said whoever abandoned and joining the right and forbidden the wrong, his abandoned faith We need to speak out against hearing oppression, speak out against injustice and wrong economic policies, condemn the corrupt politicians and call to the true faith. Also, we must give up the kind of unity that spreads fall prevents us from telling the truth, and spreading the true faith we can condemn the three the monarchy in the scholars of the others in a polite way, and tell the truth we must call to the ship of salvation for the flood is coming In the second volume of Mikayal Makarim Sayyid Muhammad Taqi Musawi Isfahani mentions 80 duties in the absence of the Imam as and gives indication on how to prepare the way every believer ought to read that the book is available on Al Islam org wallahu alam2 points -

From what I've heard from Iranis not on this site, the government has drawn the redline at arms depots at police stations and the like. These rioters were actually trying to get their hands on state stores of arms and ammunition. That is a strict no-go area anywhere in the world, whether the East or the West. Lets wait and see. Its hard to get a full picture with the current barrage of information and misinformation.2 points -

History Of Koonday?
Travis James Lee reacted to Abu Hassanain for a topic
Salam there is an unlinked narration that is not strange or odd in text, but it’s not necessarily presented from a strong source that I’ve seen nevertheless because it is a desirable issue, not obligatory prohibited issue if one chooses to it according to the role of leniency it is allowed The narration is as follows. Some people are walking in the streets of Medina when they came upon Imam Jafar ibn Muhammad As Sadiq as he asked him do you know what date it is? They replied her son of the messenger of Allah you know better. He replied to a 22nd of Rajab the day of the death of our great enemy is if any of you are going through a difficulties and hardships on this day, you should make sweets in clay pots distribute them to your family, friends, neighbors, and relatives then pray to Allah using me as a means of a session and I guarantee your needs would be granted and your problems will be solved Now this date along with the ninth of Rabi Awwal the 20th of Dhul Hijra the 22nd of Jumadi Thani the 14th of Rabi Awwal being the deaths of the first five tyrants were we’re all traditionally celebrated with our wealth without evidence among the adults Persians and the people of Sind and Hind Today we see more low-key than an Indian Pakistan this being celebrated in Iraq, the golf Lebanon in Syria, Egypt, 10 years and Iran in Afghanistan, as well as less extent in Malaysia, Indonesia The problem is not so much be believing in the narration distributing food and seeking praying and seeking intercession The problem is making things specific whether there’s no indication there should be for example the narration of sweets sweets made in a big pot so in Kuwait that might be milk and boiled wheat with raisins in Iran, that might be dried nuts and wet fruit in turkey that might be tahini French in Egypt, it might be a pudding in India and Pakistan is a yogurt, pudding dish in the west if someone is not following overseas tradition, you know my son knows people who make cake the amount of ingredients the type of ingredients the number of ingredients are up to the person. For example, my family is vegan so we’re having chickpeas with seven or eight different Asian vegetables charred cooked an olive oil, cinnamon and curry for the dessert. We’re having vegan vanilla, coconut yogurt with an adaption mushroom powder, raw cocoa, raw coconut sugar, cashews, almonds, pistachios, dried cherries, and dried cranberries with vegan chocolate chips. Also the type of prayers done over it very in areas where they don’t know a lot of chapters they might do the first chapter once 100 in third chapter 3 times and just say by the rights of imam Sadiq as The Arabs tend to do the first chapter the 112th chapter 30 times the 97th chapter 7 times chapter 67 and the full ziyarah of Imam Sadiq as Self feeding people distributing food and then praying through the rights of those were the white in our seed is established the kind of food the type of specific prayer you want to do over it how you want to decorate and what you want to eat are all open The other problem is, it is highly recommended for those were able to fast the entire month of Rajab and Shaban so we encourage people to start making the dessert at sunset after the call, but before the prayers to let it chill in the fridge until they break their fast and they have made dinner at a similar time So that they can get the reward of fasting in the award of this act and if they are doing events in the day that they should keep the prayer times and distribute the food either after the morning prayer or after the early afternoon prayer We want to keep we do not want to give up the mandatory act for recommended or possibly recommended act Hopefully, this gives some enlightenment to people on this issue, which seems to be an issue of a year and I want to know if this is not only a subcontinent thing it’s just the subcontinent has made it a little bit more prominent for lack of better word ostentatious in presentation wallahu Alam1 point -
Marrying a Sunni convert

Salam waiting 3 to 4 years to have kids is a good decision. You don’t wanna rush in the kids before you really get to know each other and settle into a pattern in our life. It’s one of the worst things we inflict on young women and young couples in our community. I don’t regret having my son within the first two years of marriage pregnant my wife after 10 months, but there was a man’s community crash to almost immediately get pregnant and produce an air.1 point -

I read a headline that said police shot and killed 200 protesters. I'm in the United States so I do not assume headlines or news articles are factual. Is this based on any truth or fully fabricated? Destruction of property is a crime, but not a capital crime. However, if they're killing innocent people they need to be stopped by whichever means is quickest.1 point -

Iran government should stop these rioters asap, they shouldn’t show any mercy to them. They are destroying a lot of properties and killed many innocents including a 3 years old girl. Each 2-3 years the rioters are coming and destroying public and private properties, then blame Iran government for not doing a good job. If they want to be liberal like in the us, why don’t they go there? They can beg for Trump the terrorist to accept them.1 point -
I need a change for the youth of the community
Meedy reacted to Abu Hassanain for a topic
Salam We see many popular speakers the youth are attracted to the problem is they don’t often grasp a deep level of theology and juris students or have particularly useful or necessary economics they’re not raising the level The level of practice knowledge and application of the youth has gone down every year since I became Muslim in the early 2000s Where are speakers like Sayyid Fadlallah Sayyid Musa Sadr Shahid Muttahaeri who draw the youth in have somewhat liberal views, but still raise the level Where are the speakers like Sayyid Dastaghaib Shirazi who shocked the people awake Why have not the works and thoughts of of speakers who are well connected with the foundation of our religion the holy Quran such as Shaikh Jawad Amuli been promoted and translated ? We are settling here in the west we should not assimilate. We should only integrate so far as it doesn’t affect our religion, and we should strive to live. The goal would be we should all be living like we are in Najaf or Qum wallahu Alam1 point -

US war on Venezuela...?
AbdusSibtayn reacted to notme for a topic
The pattern is: power corrupts fallible humans, without exception. They start to toe the line out of fear of losing their power if they stand up for what is right and good. The values of The Democratic Party and The Republican Party have historically been the same conservative and imperialist values. In the past ten years The Republican Party has shifted to far right extremism. Very few moderate politicians have been elected, and even fewer left- leaning. At least some of their conservative votes can be attributed to choosing a lesser evil, and others to attempts to build alliances. But after a very short time, they turn conservative, like all the rest. They all end up voting for wars that the people don't want. But this time, Congress didn't even vote for it. Nobody chose war except "The Department of War".1 point -
Assalam Alaykum Your mother’s response to your choice of a suitable potential partner reflects anger and frustration. Sometimes, a person needs time to consider information from another’s perspective. You are making an honourable choice by seeking your mother’s blessing for your marriage. The claim of disowning you and dissociating from you for wishing to marry a woman of your choice is unfair. However, cultural views and practices can at times make it difficult for parents to deal with societal pressures. I pray that patience in dealing with this matter brings ease for you from Allah, inshaAllah. Regards, Abbas1 point

History Of Koonday?
Abu Hassanain reacted to Replicant for a topic
(salam) What we need to do is look at the act itself. Feeding believers in the name of the Imam (as) = brilliant. Now the date. It seems like the date itself (or the time period) has emerged from culture. If so, what is wrong with this? If we say "Islam dictates that we must feed believers on fulan date", then yes this seems like a problem. However, if culturally, there is a significance for these dates, I would argue there is nothing wrong with picking them. For example, I may decide that every year on the 28th June (or pick another Islamic date if you want to be more precise), I want to hold a majlis at my house because I was born on this day (for example) because in my culture, we hold majaalis on our birthdays. Does this become a bidah? I wouldn't think so. Look at the act itself. The act is that we are holding a majlis. Holding a majlis is a great thing. The date itself was picked by the culture because holding a majlis doesn't have a set date, you can just make up the period yourself. Apply this with the koonday and feeding the believers example. I don't see a conflict. God knows best.1 point -
