  1. Modern-day Missiles in a Shia Prophecy: The Eleventh Imam al-Hasan al-Askari (عليه السلام) reported that Allah's Messenger (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) said: "A people from my community will falsely claim that they are of "the people of my creed" (Ahl Millati), and they will kill my sons al-Hasan and al-Husayn, like the Jewish predecessors of these people had killed Zachariah and John. Lo! Indeed Allah will curse these people like He had cursed them, and will send against those remaining of their offspring before the Day of Resurrection, a rightly guided leader (Hadi Mahdi) of the seed of al-Husayn the Oppressed (al-Mazloom), who will burn them with the swords of his allies, casting them into the Fire of Hell." (Tafsir al-Askari: p.369)

  2. Salaam, the Sunday school program I was going to enroll my son in at my local Shia mosque fell apart. The teacher can't come on Sunday anymore and it was moved to a day we can't attend. So I have to teach the curriculum myself to my kid who is in middle childhood, not quite pre-teen. Can people please send me resources to teach? Links to buy curriculum, educational video series on the lives of the 12 imams, and links to online teachers for kids are all welcome.

  3. @Hamdi999 revolution is what we need. Violence is what Project 2025 wants. It'll be a miracle if we can manage a peaceful revolution, but it'll only be possible if people have knowledge. I know it's a long shot, but I have to keep trying. I don't want my children to endure violence, but I do want them to reap the benefits of a new and humane and people-oriented government. I will continue to push for peaceful revolution as long as I am able.

  4. One can wish this day will come, but this will either happen if america loses a war and is forced by external powers into a nuremburg like trial or if their own people the american people do a revolution. I remeber you did mention this, but the thing is, most of them think it's legal no? It's justified with the AUMF. Otherwise all american soldiers should go to jail, because they can't use ignorance if it was illegal in american laws. And with international laws, practically all american soldiers are guilty, but I think it would be extreeme to procecute them all, as most of them are clueless and are brainwashed to think theyre being patriotic. But as for murder "just following orders" is a terrible excuse. By the way you're right at being frustrated by this, many people should be better and should inform themselves before doing this stuff, but most people are trying to get by, are busy with life, etc... to even think this through. Most of these soldiers are convincing themselves that what they're doing is patriotic and good for their country or "not that bad", there is this constant cognitive dissonance happening in their minds. But resolutions like AUMF complicate this a lot, because most of them think what theyre doing is legal. The people that really should be punished are the people in charge and the ones who commited warcrimes like murder, they have 0 excuses. Edit: I also think about the fact that educating people about these things seems fruitless, for example in canada they thought us about fascism, genocides, colonialism, etc... then when canadians see israel doing these exact same things, for the first few months in 2023, they refused to criticize anything, most people went into cognitive dissonance and said "its complicated", until they started getting flooded with videos and videos and israels PR became awful that they started opposing israel. This to me shows education in the western world is not that great, I doubt it's any diffirent in the army, they get taught these things, then they forget about it or they justify what their president is doing.

  5. @Hamdi999 you're right. But they need to know that they are wrong and the ignorant brainwashed public needs to know too. When, finally, justice has its day, they will face the consequences. Definitely the requirement to refuse to obey illegal orders is part of their basic training. I was in the Army from 1991 to 1997. They have no grounds to claim ignorance. If they commit murder, they are guilty of murder, even if "following orders", crayon eaters right along with GI Bill hopefuls. No empire lives forever.

  6. The reasonable Sunni will admit it's mandatory to follow Imam al-Mahdi... I asked many Sunnis in past discussions and debates if we're allowed to disagree with or disobey al-Mahdi (peace be upon him) even in small, insignificant matters... They always answer in the negative... In other words, following him is mandatory in all cases and scenarios... I ask if Allah will make it compulsory on them to follow a sinful person totally and completely... They become quiet and begin to ponder deeply

  8. I like to periodically remind the public that if military personnel follow illegal orders, they will be prosecuted. "Following orders" is not a valid legal defense. They are obligated to refuse to comply. Hopefully they will remember that. It's part of their training.

  10. When I re-read my own comments in this thread, the following came to my mind: It's established that Amir al-Muminin 'Ali bin Abi Talib, Imam al-Hasan and Imam al-Husayn (peace be upon them) are infallible successors of Rasulullah (may peace and blessings be upon him and his pure family). What is also established is that Imam al-Mahdi (peace be upon him) is an infallible successor and that he will fill the earth with justice after it has become filled with oppression. Now it's possible that some non-Imamis may deny his infalliblity by their tongues, but in reality all those who believe in the concept of Imam al-Mahdi (peace be upon him) do regard him as infallible, because otherwise the things that they ascribe to him would not apply. Now looking at the issue from a logical point of view: If the first three Imams are infallible and the last one (may peace be upon them) also, then a concept of Imama were there is a line of infallible successors makes more sense than one where you have a shift from infallible to fallible and then back to infallible. Wa 'alaykum al-Salam, the Shaykh Ahmad Salman has mentioned that the Zaydiyya was more a political movement [among the Shi'a] in the beginning and that a person being regarded "Zaydi" back then doesn't show him having what was regarded as "Zaydi creed" later on. There are also examples where the Aimma of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) supported people, whom the Zaydiyya also look up to. Let's not forget also the general situation back then: Being "too Shi'a" was dangerous, which is why the Aimma (peace be upon them) and their followers and supporters would not speak about every issue in front of everyone. This means that some people, who were supporter of the Aimma (peace be upon them), did obviously not openly say that they believed in the Imama of the Imam of their time. Anyways, I still believe that the Imamiyya and the Zaydiyya today should be united and that there a lot of things that are common to both and that differences of opinion should be treated with respect and understanding.

  11. The basics of Wudu are mentioned in the following Aya: يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا إِذَا قُمْتُمْ إِلَى الصَّلَاةِ فَاغْسِلُوا وُجُوهَكُمْ وَأَيْدِيَكُمْ إِلَى الْمَرَافِقِ وَامْسَحُوا بِرُءُوسِكُمْ وَأَرْجُلَكُمْ إِلَى الْكَعْبَيْنِ ۚ وَإِنْ كُنْتُمْ جُنُبًا فَاطَّهَّرُوا ۚ وَإِنْ كُنْتُمْ مَرْضَىٰ أَوْ عَلَىٰ سَفَرٍ أَوْ جَاءَ أَحَدٌ مِنْكُمْ مِنَ الْغَائِطِ أَوْ لَامَسْتُمُ النِّسَاءَ فَلَمْ تَجِدُوا مَاءً فَتَيَمَّمُوا صَعِيدًا طَيِّبًا فَامْسَحُوا بِوُجُوهِكُمْ وَأَيْدِيكُمْ مِنْهُ ۚ مَا يُرِيدُ اللَّهُ لِيَجْعَلَ عَلَيْكُمْ مِنْ حَرَجٍ وَلَٰكِنْ يُرِيدُ لِيُطَهِّرَكُمْ وَلِيُتِمَّ نِعْمَتَهُ عَلَيْكُمْ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَشْكُرُونَ | O you who have faith! When you stand up for prayer, wash your faces and your hands up to the elbows, and wipe a part of your heads and your feet, up to the ankles. If you are junub, purify yourselves. But if you are sick, or on a journey, or any of you has come from the toilet, or you have touched women, and you cannot find water, then make tayammum with clean ground and wipe a part of your faces and your hands with it. Allah does not desire to put you to hardship, but He desires to purify you, and to complete His blessing upon you so that you may give thanks. | Al-Maaida : 6 ___ What is obvious from the Aya is that Wudu consists of washing the face and hands and wiping the head and feet, while in Tayammum one should wipe what usually should be washed (meaning: face and hands) and leave out what usually should be wiped (meaning: head and feet). It's quite straightforward, but as you know Sunnis will come up with the issue of Qiraat and tell you that in "Arjulakum" it could also mean that the feet should be washed. The problem for them here is that in the other Qiraa ("Arjulikum") it could only mean wiping the feet and even in "Arjulakum" both options could theoretically apply, so why give precedence to the weaker understanding? What basically destroys their argument is the fact that the same Aya mentions Tayammum, which consists of wiping over what is usually washed (meaning: face and hands). Anyways, if Muslims differed in a matter, which they did several times every single day, then this should be enough to show that the claim that "the Book of Allah is sufficient" can not be true and that different people will understand things differently. So which understanding should we take? The understanding of the companions, who differed with each other and drew their swords against each other? Or the understanding of the 4 Madhahib in jurisprudence and the understanding of the Asha'ira, Maturidiyya and the Hanabila in creed, who differed greatly with each other and were all fallible men? The most logical answer - and the one supported by Nass! - are the Thaqalayn, because both are infallible.

  12. @Hamdi999 that was the least he could do to keep the credibility he had left. I would like to see the Lebanese army going into a full-scale war against our friendly neighbor, and see our Christians and Druze brothers get martyred in hundreds to prove their allegiance to the Watan. Now let's be realistic, what's going to happen when an underarmed, undertrained army will try to confront Zionist hi-tech regiments...

  13. Salam you respectfully misunderstood it which Imam Khomeini (رضي الله عنه) has not orderd throwing out all meats into the sea which he only made a secondary temporary ruling about a special cargo of frozen meat which has been bought after revolution from abroad countries which those countries have not observed Sharia rulings for slaughtering ; which besides that he has wanted to support domestic production & to protect Iran as Shia country against dominance of disbelievers over it which he has allowed using of domestic meat which has been slaughtered according to Islamic rulings even before the Islamic revolution of Iran . so therefore he has orderd that all the imported frozen meats from abroad countries can't be used for food due to being impure but on the other hand people can use it as fertilizer for their farm lands . Recently, some Telegram channels and Twitter users published pictures of a frozen meat distribution center, reposting Imam Khomeini's (رضي الله عنه) statements that frozen meat is forbidden and ordering the Prime Minister to collect this meat, and considered this a contradiction. Although this doubt has been raised many times over the past years, it must first be said about the authenticity of this issue that this fatwa and order are authentic and are also mentioned on page 280 of volume 8 of the Imam's Sahifa. The full text of this order is as follows: "Mr. Prime Minister, it is necessary for you to order the relevant authorities to strictly prevent import and consumption of frozen meat and to destroy what is available of this type of meat; because they are impure and forbidden, and people do not have the right to use them as food and [it] can be used for agricultural purposes such as fertilizer." The short answer to this issue is that Zionist regime, New Zealand, Turkey, Bulgaria and West Germany were exporters of frozen meat to Iran at that time. The issue of the un-Islamic and unhygienic nature of imported meat was one of the reasons for the ban on the use of these meats. A look at the words of the founder of the revolution shows what is the reason for the sanctity of this act in the Imam's view? "Every contract they made, they gave the very rich green pastures of Iran - as they wrote to me - to a delegation, one of whom is the Queen of England, pastures that experts - those who came and saw - said were the best pastures in the world in terms of livestock farming, they gave them to her! And the country of Iran itself was left; now its meat must be brought in frozen meat from ... them, and here it does not have its own. Isn't this a betrayal of a country?!" (Volume 5 - Page 67) "There was a plan to destroy. To completely destroy agriculture in the name of "land reform"; and to create a market for America, which has a lot of wheat, it should be thrown [it's wheat]into the sea or burned. It is better that Iran or other countries under its influence have their agriculture destroyed so that they become in need of wheat and all grains. As we are in need now; everything we need must come from abroad. They (America & it's allies) should destroy livestock farming in order to they (people) need meat from abroad. And so on with everything. In these fifty years, with very deceptive and misleading names, they have ruined this country and it has been destroyed.” (Volume 8 – Page 155) These days, since frozen Brazilian meat is slaughtered halal, its sanctity is naturally removed. 14. @Abu Nur, you are correct when you say that Muslims should not be seeking protection from non-Muslim sponsors... They are protectors and allies of one another... They will never befriend us wholeheartedly unless we embrace their particular religion or ideology... This is a good general rule of thumb for the Muslims to keep in mind and abide by... Also, we should keep in mind that the Christians are closer to the Muslims in affection and in love... Among them (i.e. the Christians) are priests and monks who are not arrogant... The Jews and the polytheists are the most bitter and hostile towards the believers (i.e. the Muslims)... The majority of them (the Jews and Christians) are perverted trangressors... Also, there are believers among them... Among them (Jews and Christians) are people who would readily return a large treasure... From among the very same community are those who would not return a single coin without constant demanding for repayment... Each community or denomination or individual should be assessed fairly and objectively... They are not all the same

  15. ‘The View’ facing potential investigation by FCC following Jimmy Kimmel’s suspension Federal Communications Commission Chairman Brendan Carr revealed ABC's 'The View' could be investigated after Jimmy Kimmel's suspension. On Thursday, Carr appeared on 'The Scott Jennings Show' and claimed The View could be violating the commission's "equal time" rule. According to Fox News, the rule requires providing equal opportunity for all political candidates except for a "bona fide news show". "Potentially, I would assume you can make the argument that 'The View' is a bona fide news show, but I'm not so sure about that," Carr said. "I think it's worthwhile to have the FCC look into whether 'The View' and some of these other programs that you have still qualify as bona fide news programs and therefore exempt from the equal opportunity regime that Congress has put in place."

  16. Many researchers are of the view that Gautama Buddha, the prince of Kapil, has been mentioned twice in the Qur'an as Dhul-Kifl, with Kifl here being the arabized version of Kapil. Other interpretations for Dhul-Kifl like Ezekiel etc. don't have solid arguments. Moreover mentioning Dhul-Kifl (a title) twice without name without going into details too makes sense if he is a well-known non-Israelite non-Arab figure whose title suffices for his identification. His prophecies that seem to be about Prophet Muhammadص too endorse this view.

  17. Ask one hundred Buddhists about the existence of God and you're liable to get one hundred different answers...it depends on their understanding or their particular worldview...some may describe themselves as: atheist, agnostic, nontheistic, pantheistic, polytheistic etc....Buddhists believe in angels and different otherworldly beings and invisible entities...Buddhists are not supposed to pray to these entities but you can't help (i.e. prevent) people from being people...Buddhist so-called atheism is largely a modern indigenous reaction to the influx of Christian missionaries following the British colonization of Hong Kong...this strong use of language and extreme self-categorization helped to construct an impenetrable wall and protect against Western spirituality / overseas foreign devil influence...Buddhism focuses on present moment living and stresses positive action over theology...Buddhism sprung forth from its sister religion (i.e. Hinduism) in northern India and its endless conjecture and theorizing about thousands of gods were unrestrained...be mindful that Buddhism arose under these circumstances...bear in mind this context...Buddha taught his followers not to obsess over unanswerable philosophical questions (i.e. origins of the universe, existence of God, multiplicity of gods etc.) and concentrate on enlightenment

  18. I've read some Sunnis say that al-Mahdi will be in a bar drinking alcohol and then one night he will hear the adhan ringing in his ear. Only he will be able to hear it. Then he will realize he is the prophesied Mahdi and he will change his life completely and become a righteous person overnight. Allah will thoroughly prepare him for his divine task all within 24 hour period.

    Genocide in Sudan...?

It's very likely to be fake. Iran does not have the ways to supply anything to Sudan, it's extremely difficult.
