The good news is that the Zionist lobby has been exposed in the US, and is being called out by many pundits, analysts, activists, and even politicians. For decades, Americans didn't know anything about AIPAC or the Zionist lobbies. Few people knew who guys like George Soros were. Now almost everyone knows But we have a long way to go. Even in cases where politicians appear to support the Palestinians and are critical of Israel, a simple search will reveal that they are supported by AIPAC2 points

Freedom of speech only goes as far as not infringing on the rights of others. If his speech caused you or another person harm it does not fall under freedom of speech. However, if you just disagree or don't like it, it probably does. Divine consequences, social consequences, and legal consequences are all separate matters.2 points

Socialism encompasses several key beliefs, and depending on the flavour of socialism you are referring to, this can include the state ownership of the means of production. As I have argued in the blog post below, my understanding of the story of Prophet Yusuf ((عليه السلام).) is that it deals with his prescription to Pharoah of the state ownership of distribution, so I doubt that it could be against our beliefs. No doubt, there are other aspects of different forms of socialism which are antithetical to our beliefs. And of course, this does not mean that Islam is socialist any more than it is capitalist. However, I don't think you can dismiss an entire ideology.2 points

You all, he is the mayor of NYC not Middle East. Him supporting the lgbt community is non of our concern, majority of us are not American. What matters the most is, he is anti Zionist and he said he will arrest satanyahu the terrorist if he come to New York. And it might be a political game, remember New York State is democratic so there is a big percentage of lgbt supporters. let’s be honest for a minute, the non Muslims and lgbt community did a lot for the cause of the Palestinian in the west. Unlike the Arab leaders who are licking the Zionist shoes and condemning the attacks by Muslim Shias that is done to the terrorists.2 points -

How to deal with feeling alone
Gaius I. Caesar reacted to Shia Muslimah for a topic
I’ve been Shia for a few years now, and honestly, it’s been really hard. My family still doesn’t accept it, and it hurts. I’m tired of people just making duaa for me instead of actually trying to support or understand me. I feel alone a lot of the time. Other times I feel okay, mostly because Allah gets me through. But lately, I’ve been feeling really disconnected—from the Shia community, from people who could relate, from the support I need. It’s also been weighing on me how hard it is to even think about marriage when my family wouldn’t accept a Shia suitor. I know this path isn’t easy, but it’s feeling extra heavy right now. If you’ve been through this or have any advice, I’d really appreciate it.1 point -

Quran verses about Imam Mahdi (عليه السلام)
Ashvazdanghe reacted to Activate your inner truth for a topic
Chapter 28, Qasas, (The Narrative) -Verse 5-6. Verses 5-6 “We wish to favour those who were deemed weak in the land, and make them the Imams and make them the heirs and establish them in earth; and to show Firoun and Hamaan and their soldiers to see from them that which they dreaded” Mohammed bin Hasan Al-Shaibaani narrated from both Imam Baqir (عليه السلام) and Imam Sadiq (عليه السلام), who said: “Firoun and Hamaan” in this verse refer to two oppressors from the Quraysh whom Allah will resurrect at the time of the rising of the Qem (عليه السلام), and He will take revenge against them for what they did. (Kashf Al Bayan) Janabe Salman said, The Messenger of Allah (sawa) said to me, Allah has not sent any prophet or messenger without appointing twelve chiefs for them. I said, O Messenger of Allah! I had learned this from the people of the Book. The Messenger of Allah (sawa) asked me, O Salman! Do you know whom Allah has chosen as the twelve chiefs of the nation after me? I replied, Allah and His Messenger know better. The Prophet (sawa) said, O Salman! Allah created me (sawa) from the prime of His light. He called me (sawa) and I obeyed Him. Then He created Ali (عليه السلام) from my light. He called him and Ali (عليه السلام) obeyed Him. Then He created Fatemah (sa) from my light and the light of Ali. He called Fatema (sa) and she obeyed Him. Then Allah created Hasan (عليه السلام) from me (sawa) , Ali (عليه السلام), and Fatemah (sa). He called him and Hasan (عليه السلام) obeyed Him. Then Allah created Husain (عليه السلام) from me (sawa) , Ali (عليه السلام), and Fatemah (sa). He called him and Husain (عليه السلام) obeyed Him. Then Allah named us with (five names derived from) five of His names. Allah is Mahmoud (the Praised) and I am Mohammed. Allah is Ali (the High) and he (the Commander of the Believers) is Ali. Allah is Fatir (the Creator) and she is Fatema. Allah is Zul Ehsan (the Bountiful) and this is Hasan. Allah is Mohsin (the Beneficent) and this is Husain. Then Allah created from us and from Husain nine Imams. He called them and they obeyed Him. All of this happened before Allah created the skies, the earths, the angels, and humankind. We were lights who praised Allah, listened to Him, and obeyed Him. I asked, O Messenger of Allah! May I sacrifice my father and mother for you! What is the reward for those who know (the rights of) the Imams? The Prophet” replied, O Salman! Verily those who know the true status of the Imams, follow them, befriend their friends, and dissociate from their enemies they are from us. They will be with us wherever we are and they will dwell with us wherever we dwell. I asked, O Messenger of Allah! Is it possible to believe in them without knowing their names and their lineage? The Prophet (sawa) replied, “No! O Salman!” I asked, O Messenger of Allah! Then how can I believe in them while I only know up to Husain (عليه السلام)? The Prophet (sawa) replied, (After Husain is his son) Ali bin Husain (عليه السلام), Master of the Worshippers; then his son, Mohammed bin Ali (عليه السلام), who will rip open every field of knowledge from the first to the last of the prophets and the messengers; then his son, Jafar bin Mohammed (عليه السلام), who is the truthful tongue of Allah; then his son, Musa bin Jafar (عليه السلام), who will suppress his anger in the way of Allah; then his son, Ali bin Musa (عليه السلام), who is pleased with the orders of Allah; then his son, Mohammed bin Ali (عليه السلام), the chosen one from the creation of Allah; then his son, Ali bin Mohammed (عليه السلام), the guide to Allah; then his son, Hasan bin Ali (عليه السلام), the guardian and the keeper of the secrets of Allah; and then his son, Mohammed bin Hasan (عليه السلام), Mahdi, the guide, the Qaem, and the announcer of the rights of Allah. Then the Messenger of Allah (sawa) added, O Salman! You and everyone like you who truly believe in him will meet him (in his time). Therefore, I (Salman) thanked Allah increasingly and asked, O Messenger of Allah! Will I live until his time? The Messenger of Allah (sawa) recited these verses, “So, when the promise of the nearest to the two came, We sent over you Our servants who possessed terrible prowess; so they invaded the very inmost parts of your houses; and it was a warning (completely) fulfilled. Then We gave back to you the turn to prevail against them, We aided you with wealth and children and made you a numerous host” (Chapter 17 verses 5-6). After hearing this, I (Salman) cried and yearned (for the promised day) and then asked, O Messenger of Allah! Will you be there when this happens? The Prophet (sawa) replied, Yes. I swear to He who sent me with the truth, that me (sawa), Ali (عليه السلام), Fatemah (sa), Hasan (عليه السلام), Husain (عليه السلام), the nine sons of Husain (عليه السلام), and everyone who is from us and with us will be there. O Salman! I swear to Allah that Iblis and his soldiers will be brought for him (the Qaem (as)) and every sincere believer and every absolute disbeliever will be resurrected so that the avenging can take place; and Allah does not oppress anyone. This is the Taweel (hidden interpretation) of the verse, “We wish to favour those who were deemed weak in the land, and make them the imams and make them the heirs and establish them in earth; and to show Firoun and Hamaan and their soldiers to see from them that which they dreaded” (Chapter 28 verses 5-6). (After hearing this) I (Salman) stood up to leave, not worried whether death would meet me or I would meet death. (Dalelal Imama page 447)1 point -
Fasting on 1st muharram

Here is an answer from Al-Islam.org which is a Shia website: Question: Is it recommended to fast during any days of Muharram? Answer: Yes. It is recommended to fast in the first day of Muharram as the narration from Imam Al-Redha (عليه السلام) asking the person who met him on the first of Muharram; are you fasting? Fasting on everyday in Muharram is good except on the tenth day of Muharram which was taken by Bani Umayyad as an Eid and they fabricated narrations on fasting that day of Ashura.According to Ahlul Bayt (عليه السلام) fasting in Ashura is Makrouh and it is called as the fasting of the enemies of Ahlul Bayt. Israel Strikes Iran
Ashvazdanghe reacted to Eddie Mecca for a topic
This is an impossibility... Iman and kufr cannot coexist hand-in-hand... They will forever remain yin-yang opposites... Remember, Israel is nicknamed "Little Satan" and the US is dubbed the "Great Satan" for a reason... The Iranians aren't merely mudslinging and hurling insults around aimlessly... Deep reasons exist why they chose these names in particular... Professor Marandi has illustrated the point on numerous occasions... Washington would befriend Tehran in a heartbeat and they would grant it (Tehran) any request... The Yankees would heap gold, silver, rubies, diamonds, sapphires, emeralds etc. upon its (Tehran's) head symbolically speaking... if only it (Tehran) would change its regional policy (i.e. exporting the revolution to neighboring countries, pro-Palestinian position)... and its foreign policy (i.e. uncompromising antiimperialist stance)... Basically, you're requiring and requesting Iran to become a partner in crime (hence mimicking the behavior of Turkey or metamorphosising itself into Qatar)... If Iran pursued this course of action, it would intrinsically lose its character and would become unrecognizable or indistinguishable from every other Uncle Tom client state in the ME region... This can never be... Iran would betray the memory of all the martyrs that fell in Lebanon, all the martyrs in Palestine, all the martyrs of Iraq, all the martyrs of Yemen, all the martyrs of the Iran-Iraq War (1980 - 1988) etc. if it pursued this line of behavior... "Never, never will the Jews or Christians be pleased with you, until you follow their faith."1 point -

Moreover, I am really interested in knowing what these DSA Democrat Party Entréists have actually done on a policy level (no, not just protesting against the genocide, actually trying to change their party line with respect to Israel and its crimes). Any caucuses of these 'intersectional' allies to counter the Zionist lobby? Any attempt to vote against the material aid and diplomatic cover for the occupation? As much as even a note of dissent when their party votes in the US Congress (mind you the bipartisan system in America doesn't work like the one in parliamentary democracies so they don't even have the excuse of party whips and party discipline)? Anything material other than mere symbolism and tokenism? This 'at least he's not a Zionist' cope is becoming hilarious. You've seen Sanders, AoC, Tlaib and Ilhan Omar fall in line. Wait till you see him too. Muslims kept their end of this cynical bargain, looking the other way when it came to their degeneracy and extending critical yet principled support. What have they actually gained in return? I don't really consider myself a DH fan but one must do justice and give credit where it's due. In this video he exposes how the celebrity DSA 'Muslim' Democrat Entréists have done absolutely nothing to counter Zionism on a policy level; rather they have rubber-stamped all of their party's pro Israeli decisions.1 point -

At worst, he's going to be a renegade like his fellow 'DSA' careerists who won on an anti war plank but rubber-stamped everything, from aids to the occupation to the Holocaust in Gaza. What can I do to get my father to stop drinking ?
Hameedeh reacted to ShiaChat Mod for a topic
Salam. How to talk to your parent when you want them to stop drinking When you're thinking about how to get a parent to stop drinking, you may want to consider having a conversation with them about their alcohol use. Understanding how and when to have this discussion can be difficult. Below, we have put together some advice so that you can have a successful chat with them: Try to catch your parent in a moment when they're not drinking or drunk. That way, they're more likely to listen to you and acknowledge they have a problem Try to use a calm and gentle tone. You may feel angry and upset – and understandably so – but this conversation wouldn’t be the right time to express it Try to start out with a one-to-one conversation rather than an intervention, which could be extremely stressful for your parent and cause them to shut off or become defensive Don’t use this time to try and convince them that they have a problem. Instead use the conversation to discuss the impact that their behaviour is having on you and those closest to you both. Use phrases like “I feel like” or “I've noticed” rather than “You have been” or “You keep doing” to avoid being confrontational, which could cause your parent to react badly Let them know that you're having this conversation because you love them. You want to see them get better and are willing to support them as they stop drinking Give them space to talk in the conversation by asking them questions If your parent becomes angry, defensive or silent, don’t try to pursue the conversation. Instead, walk away and try again at another time when they're more receptive.1 point -
