Soulless Secularism: The Second Vulture
Zainuu and one other reacted to Eddie Mecca for a topic
SOULLESS SECULARISM: THE SECOND VULTURE In the 1990's there was a widely circulated photo of a vulture waiting for a starving little girl to die and feast on her corp. That photo was taken during the 1993/94 famine in Sudan, by Kevin Carter, a South African photojournalist, who later won the Pulitzer Prize for this 'amazing shot'. However, as Kevin Carter was savouring his feat and being celebrated on major news channels and networks worldwide for such an 'exceptional photographic skill', he lived just for a few months to enjoy his supposed achievement and fame, as he later got depressed and took his own life! Kevin Carter's depression started, when during one of such interviews (a phone-in programme), someone called in and asked him what happened to the little girl. He simply replied, "I didn't wait to find out after this shot, as I had a flight to catch..." Then the caller said, "I put it to you that there were two vultures on that day, one had a camera". Thus, his constant thought of that statement, later led to depression and he ultimately committed suicide. Kevin Carter could have still been alive today and even much more famous, if he had just picked that little girl up and taken her to the United Nations Feeding Center, where she was attempting to reach or at least take her to somewhere safe. Today, regrettably this is what is happening all around the world. The world celebrates stupidity and inhumane act, at the detriment of other. Kevin Carter should have taken the girl away from that place, which will cost him nothing, yet he didn't. Here is the inhuman posture, "he had all time to take his shot, but he had no time to save the girl's life". Thus, we must all understand that, the purpose of life, is to also touch lives. So are you too a Vulture. In whatever we do, let humanity come first, before what we stand to gain out of the situation. In all we do let's always think of others and how we can be of benefit to humanity, how we can lend a helping hand and wipe away tears. Hence, when we seek knowledge, wealth, fame, skills or even positions, let's think of how we can use it to benefit the people and society at large. Today, there is a lot of poverty in the land, so if our God Almighty has blessed you, be a blessing to others, extend a helping hand to those in need. Remember, you giving, is also a way of appreciating divine blessings, bounties, and favour of God Almighty upon you. Therefore, it is very important that we all should help the poor and needy, the orphans and widows amongst us, so that they can meet their needs. Please don't be a Kevin Carter, be human and think humanity. Beware, we humans are not humans, if we lack humaneness in all we do. Author Juma Gai Thoan2 points -

Salam! All praises are for Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى), Lord of the worlds. Thank you brother for expressing kind words for me. I am 100% agreed with your comment for the rest of the members. I am infact learning from them and from rest of the respected members here. But I don't find myself eligible for any praise. May Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى) grant us knowledge, pour patience on us and make us steadfast on the path of Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) & Aal-e Muhammad عليهم السلام. There are many knowledgeable members here who are not that active now a days. But they do deserve these sort of praises. My example is the example of عبد مملوك for which a verse of Quran has said: لا يقدر على شيء I find myself more in need of your prayers than your praise. Wassalam!!2 points -

Will Allah show a recording of our lives to everyone on Judgment day?
Ashvazdanghe reacted to newshia3 for a topic
Assalamu Alaikum, All my life I’ve heard that Allah will show a recording of our whole life to humanity on Yawm Al Qiyyamah. I was wondering if this is an accepted Shia belief? If yes, can we do anything to prevent our life recording to be displayed to everyone on the day of Judgment? Not just the sins, but general embarrassing moments and private moments we wouldn’t want anyone to see? Thank you1 point -

Salam, وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمُ اتَّبِعُوا مَا أَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ قَالُوا بَلْ نَتَّبِعُ مَا أَلْفَيْنَا عَلَيْهِ آبَاءَنَا ۗ أَوَلَوْ كَانَ آبَاؤُهُمْ لَا يَعْقِلُونَ شَيْئًا وَلَا يَهْتَدُونَ {170} [Shakir 2:170] And when it is said to them, Follow what Allah has revealed, they say: Nay! we follow what we found our fathers upon. What! and though their fathers had no sense at all, nor did they follow the right way. The Quran discusses the response of certain people to the message of Islam. It highlights a common attitude among some individuals who refuse to accept new guidance or follow the divine revelations sent by Allah. Instead, they cling blindly to the customs, beliefs, and practices of their ancestors, even if those practices lack understanding or guidance. The verse challenges the mindset of blindly adhering to tradition without critically examining its validity or compatibility with the truth. It questions the wisdom of following the path of one's forefathers if they themselves lacked knowledge and guidance. The verse encourages individuals to seek knowledge, understanding, and true guidance from Allah's revelations rather than simply relying on inherited practices without discernment. Overall, this verse emphasizes the importance of intellectual independence and personal responsibility when it comes to matters of faith and religious practice. It urges people to use their reasoning abilities to assess the truth and authenticity of their beliefs and not to unquestioningly follow inherited traditions if they lack a solid foundation. Is it permissible to cheat upon your wife and hurt her?
Andaros reacted to Sakina Sayyed for a topic
Assalamu Alaikum, dear brothers and sisters, With the grace and guidance of Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى), I have embraced Shia Islam after a thorough study of the principles and teachings of Ahl-al-Bait (عليه السلام) for 2.5 years before marrying my husband. I firmly believe in the sanctity of marriage and have no intention of divorcing my husband. Despite my parents being non-believers, they have not hindered my path towards the faith I follow today. However, the main challenge lies within my husband's family. They insist on having a Shia Sayyed daughter-in-law alongside me. Even though I have embraced Shia Islam and actively practice the faith, my mother-in-law labels me as a Kafir due to my non-believing lineage. According to her, I can never be a true Shia by blood. I have done everything within my means to help my husband progress from an illiterate delivery boy to an educated man with a decent income. He used to be a chain smoker, lighting 4-5 cigarettes a day. Through great effort and by the blessings of Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى), my husband has been able to quit smoking since our marriage. I have even provided financial assistance to my husband by taking a loan, as he was unemployed and I work as a Software Developer. We purchased a house where we lived together until March '23. However, my mother-in-law forced me to leave that house and now resides there with her family. I did not demand any financial compensation for the house, as I have always treated them as my own family. Currently, I am living with my parents. My husband wants to keep me in the dark until he completes his second marriage. He is currently engaged in a haram relationship with a Shia sister before marrying her. I am unsure whether I should inform his girlfriend about our marriage, as it would be unethical to keep her unaware. My husband has tried to justify his actions by claiming that he can have multiple wives to fulfill his physical desires. These thoughts and behaviors have only arisen within the past 2-3 months. Prior to March 2023, my husband was committed to our relationship and remained loyal to me. However, since then, my mother-in-law has emotionally manipulated my husband into believing that he should marry a Shia woman and that I am not a true Shia. Consequently, my husband has started abusing me, using vulgar language, mistreating me, neglecting his responsibilities as a husband, and no longer showing me affection. Nevertheless, I have remained patient and steadfast in my belief in Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى). I have continuously prayed for my husband's well-being and success. I have supported him in his entrepreneurial ventures and managed all the operational and financial aspects. I have been his unwavering support throughout our time together. Despite my husband's desire for a second wife, he still mistreats me. There are moments when I am emotionally disturbed to the point of self-harm, unable to comprehend the sudden changes in his behavior. One solution suggested by my father-in-law is that if a Shia couple adopts me and gives me their family name, my marriage can be saved. After much contemplation, I have decided to pursue this option and proceed with my own adoption. My biological parents have no objections to this arrangement as long as I am happy and content in my life. I am willing to care for my adoptive parents and love them unconditionally until my last breath. Their guidance and knowledge will assist me in becoming a better Shia Muslimah. I am prepared to be their unwavering support and assist them in every possible way. Therefore, I kindly request my Shia brothers and sisters to help me find a Shia couple who is willing to adopt me and bring blessings into all our lives. I am 23 years old and currently based in Mumbai, India. Requesting everyone to please provide contacts of forums, trust and individuals who can help me in this nek and pious task which can bring happiness in the lives of many of our Shia brothers and sisters in faith.1 point -

The Superiority of Ali ibn Abi Talib In The Quran, Sunnah, & Intellect

I did not know saying someone claims to be a shia is speaking ill. Everyone claims to be something, it is their words and their beliefs that attest what they claim which is what I am putting into question. It is my God given right as is yours. Alhamduillah that you claim to follow all these things, but to me, from these things you have been professing and claiming they are not common, not even in sunni islam. I am free to call you out. If you cannot take the heat do not start by getting into the discussion and openly professing your views. People are free to question you. People cannot take the heat and always yell something more then it really is. You need to relax no one is trying to hurt you buddy. "Attack" believers? As far as I knew, "until you corrected yourself", you believed you can see God and that Moses (عليه السلام) saw God astafirullah. That is outside the folds of Islam. Of course I am going to tell you how I see it, especially from someone online claiming to be in the same creed as me. I was just trying to tell the brothers, it is futile to try and explain things to someone that already has a preconceived false notion ingrained in their mind. You need to go to the roots first. I also never said you were not in the folds of 12vr Shia Islam. I am simply putting a question mark in my mind when I am reading or talking to you. Anyone can claim to be anything these days, after all it was the hypocrites within Islam that was the most threatening to Muhammad (عليه السلام)1 point -

Salam! Thank you both for providing clarification on this. Astaghfirallah. I am rather curious as to the source of why the Bahais are promoting this and still remain Bahais and not Shia, but perplexed as to why I haven't seen this in Shi'i circles - although the obvious answer of course is to mislead others from truth to falsehood. The way I had interpreted this was similar to "Ali is from me and I am from him..." that I see often recited in narrations regarding The Ghadir Khum. I had not even considered the aspect of knowledge as having a descending or following a subsequential order. So I understand that these (my)correlations are not to be considered the same at all - given what has been summed up from ahadith by Cool:1 point -

Are the deniers of Imamat, Kaafir???
Mightyservant reacted to Irfani313 for a topic
Salam- my intention wasn’t to proclaim Kufr for anyone, specially to our Sunni brothers, as in Shia Fiqh, we are not qualified or entitled to call others Kafirs or Mushrik. That said, according to what I read in Quran, and history/Hadith, those who reject the Allah’s appointed leaders, be them Prophets or Imams, are clearly committing rejection (Kufr) starting from Ibless who did the Kufr on Nabi Adam (عليه السلام). Same goes for those who consider Allah and attributes of Allah different from each other, in other words committing to the Sifat Za’ed which makes them Mushrik because in theory they are believing Allah to be one God and Al-Raheem to be another God, and Al-Qadeem to be a third God and so on. But again, in Shia Islam we don’t consider even the Christians mushrikeen even though they commit shirk in Hulool etc.1 point -

Ahlul Bayt
Muslim2010 reacted to Ethics for a topic
The first and foremost reason why Shias do not consider the wives as part of the special Ahlulbayt, is due to the quran & Hadith. Yes in a literal scientific sense wives are considered part of your family no doubt about it. But there is also context and significance, meaning Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى) & His messenger has chosen and defined who these special people within his family are. Bibi Khadija (عليه السلام) is one of the greatest women ever, and shias hold her the dearest when it comes to any wife, because she is the mother of Fatima (عليه السلام) but even she is not included. You see, when it comes to the definition of Ahlulbayt, they are not only chosen but also pure, sinless, masoom. This is what Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى) says. Thus it is further evidence that the wives are not included. Also the grammatical structure of the verse, and further clarification from Prophet Muhammad (عليه السلام). Another simple example from the quran you see that God keeps mentioning and we have chosen the family of Ibrahim, the family of Imran (عليه السلام), does that mean everyone including the wives are chosen? No, Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى) although says family, He is speaking about the select few amongst the lineage of these great prophets. See below. Evidence From Qur’an The Holy Book of Allah mentions Ahlul-Bayt and their exceptional virtue in the following verse which is known as "Purification Verse”(Ayah al-Tat’hir): إِنَّمَا يُرِيدُ اللَّـهُ لِيُذْهِبَ عَنكُمُ الرِّجْسَ أَهْلَ الْبَيْتِ وَيُطَهِّرَكُمْ تَطْهِيرًا "Verily Allah intends to keep off from you every kind of uncleanness O’ People of the House (Ahlul-Bayt), and purify you with a perfect purification". (Qur’an, the last sentence of Verse 33:33) Note that the word "Rijs”in the above verse has got the article "al-”at its beginning which makes the word universal. Thus "al-Rijs”means "EVERY KIND of impurity". Also at the end of the verse, Allah states "and purify you a PERFECT purification.”The word "perfect”comes from the emphasis of "Tat’hiran". This is the only place in Qur’an that Allah uses the emphasis of "PERFECT purification". According to the above verse, Allah expresses his intention to keep Ahlul-Bayt pure and flawless/sinless, and what Allah intends it will certainly take place as Qur’an itself testifies (see 16:40). Indeed, a human can be sinless because he is not forced to commit sin. It is the human’s choice to accept the instructions of Allah and get His help to avoid sin, or to neglect Allah’s commandments and commit the sin. Allah is advisor, and encourager, and warner. A sinless human is still a human; no doubt about it. Some people assert that in order to be human, one SHOULD have some mistakes. Such claim is unsupported. The truth is that Human CAN make mistakes but he does not have to. It is the Grace of Allah that attracts His servants towards Him, WITHOUT compelling them any way. This is our choice to pursue this attraction and refrain from doing mistakes, or to turn away and commit the mistakes. However, Allah has GUARANTEED to show the Right Path and to provide a pure life for those who seek it: Whoever works righteousness man or woman and is faithful, We shall revive a PURE life for him. (Qur’an 16:97) And whosoever keeps his duty to Allah, Allah will appoint a way out for him. (Qur’an 65:2) It is worth mentioning the sentence of Qur’an in verse 33:33 which is related to purification of Ahlul-Bayt, has been placed at the middle of verses related to the wives of the Prophet (S), and this was the main reason why some Sunnis include the wives of the Prophet in Ahlul-Bayt. However, the sentence related to Ahlul-Bayt (given above) distinguishes itself from the sentences before and after it with a clear distinction. The sentences before and after, use only feminine gender which clearly shows they are addressing the wives of the Prophet (S). However, in contrary, the above sentence uses only masculine gender which is a clear indication that that Qur’an is changing the individuals who it is referring to. People who are familiar with Qur’an to some extent, know that such a sharp change of addressee is not a weird-thing, and it has been applied to several places in Qur’an. For instance we read in Qur’an: "O Joseph! pass this over and (O wife of Aziz!) ask forgiveness for your sin, for truly you have been at fault."(Qur’an 12:29) In the above verse, "O wife of Aziz”has not been mentioned and the address to Joseph (عليه السلام) looks to continue. However the transition of the address from masculine gender to feminine gender clearly shows that the second sentence is addressing the Aziz’s wife and not Prophet Joseph (عليه السلام). Notice that both sentences are within one verse. Also note the immediate change of addressing from Aziz’s wife to Joseph and again back to the wife in verses before verse 29 and also within that verse. In Arabic language, when a group of women are being addressed, feminine gender is employed. However, if only one man exists among that group, masculine gender is used instead. Thus the above sentence of Qur’an clearly shows Allah is referring to a group other than the wives of the Prophet, using masculine gender, and that group includes some male members. From the verse 33:33 alone, we cannot conclude that the wives of the Prophet are not included in Ahlul-Bayt. This latter claim can be proven by the authentic traditions of the Sunnis from Sihah Sittah in which the Prophet mentioned who Ahlul-Bayt are; and also by comparing the specifications of Ahlul-Bayt given in the verse of Qur’an with the behavior of the some of the wives of the Prophet mentioned in Sihah Sittah to prove the contrary. What can be understood from the verse ALONE is that Allah is changing His address (which was exclusively the wives of the Prophet at the beginning of the verse) to some people who include some male members, and may or may not include the wives of the Prophet. Authentic Traditions It is interesting to see that both Sahih Muslim and Sahih al-Tirmidhi as well as many others confirm the Shi’ite point of view explained above. In Sahih Muslim, there is a chapter named "Chapter of Virtues of the Companions". Inside this chapter, there is a section called "Section of the Virtues of the Ahlul-Bayt of the Prophet". There exists ONLY ONE tradition in this section, and this tradition has no reference to the wives of the Prophet (S). The tradition is known as "The Tradition of Cloak/Mantle”(Hadith al-Kisaa), and is as follows: Narrated Aisha: One day the Prophet (S) came out afternoon wearing a black cloak (upper garment or gown; long coat), then al-Hasan Ibn ‘Ali came and the Prophet accommodated him under the cloak, then al-Husayn came and entered the cloak, then Fatimah came and the Prophet entered her under the cloak, then ‘Ali came and the Prophet entered him to the cloak as well. Then the Prophet recited: "Verily Allah intends to keep off from you every kind of uncleanness O’ People of the House (Ahlul-Bayt), and purify you a perfect purification (the last sentence of Verse 33:33)." Sunni reference: • Sahih Muslim, Chapter of virtues of companions, section of the virtues of the Ahlul-Bayt of the Prophet (S), 1980 Edition Pub. in Saudi Arabia, Arabic version, v4, p1883, Tradition #61. Below is the Arabic text of above tradition given in Sahih Muslim: خرج النبي غداة وعليه مرط مرحل من شعر أسود فجاء الحسن فأدخله معه ، ثم جاء الحسين فأدخله معه ، ثم جاءت فاطمة فأدخلها، ثم جاء علي فأدخله ثم قال: إِنَّمَا يُرِيدُ اللَّهُ لِيُذْهِبَ عَنكُمُ الرِّجْسَ أَهْلَ الْبَيْتِ وَيُطَهِّرَكُمْ تَطْهِيرًا One can see that the author of Sahih Muslim confirms that: 1. Imam ‘Ali, Fatimah, al-Hasan, and al-Husayn are the Ahlul-Bayt, 2. The purification sentence in Qur’an (the last sentence of Verse 33:33) was revealed for the virtue of the above-mentioned individuals, and NOT for the wives of the Prophet (S). Muslim (the Author) did not put any other tradition in this section (section of the virtues of Ahlul-Bayt). If the author of Sahih Muslim believed that the wives of the Prophet were included in Ahlul-Bayt, he would have quoted some traditions about them in this section. It is interesting to see that Aisha, the wife of the Prophet (S) is the narrator of the above tradition, and she herself is testifying that Ahlul- Bayt are the above-mentioned individuals (i.e., Imam ‘Ali, Fatimah, al-Hasan, and al-Husayn, may the blessing of Allah be upon them all). Another version of the "Tradition of Cloak”is written in Sahih al-Tirmidhi, which is narrated in the authority of Umar Ibn Abi Salama, the son of Umm Salama (another wife of Prophet), which is as follows: The verse "Verily Allah intends to ... (33:33)" was revealed to the Prophet (S) in the house of Umm Salama. Upon that, the Prophet gathered Fatimah, al-Hasan, and al-Husayn, and covered them with a cloak, and he also covered ‘Ali who was behind him. Then the Prophet said: "O’ Allah! These are the Members of my House (Ahlul-Bayt). Keep them away from every impurity and purify them with a perfect purification.”Umm Salama (the wife of Prophet) asked: "Am I also included among them O Apostle of Allah?”the Prophet replied: "You remain in your position and you are toward a good ending." Sunni reference: Sahih al-Tirmidhi, v5, pp 351,663 Here is the Arabic text of above tradition given by Sahih al-Tirmidhi: نزلت هذه الآية على النبي "إنَّما يريدُ اللهَ...”في بيت أُم سلمه فدعا النبي فاطمه و حسناً و حسيناً فجعلهم بكسائه و علي خلف ظهره ثم قال: ألَّلهم هؤلاء أهل بيتي فاْذهب عنهم الرجس و طهرهم تطهيراً. قالت أمُّ سلمه: و أنا معهم يا نبي الله؟ قال أنتِ على مكانك و أنتِ إلى خير. As we see, al-Tirmidhi also confirms that Imam ‘Ali, Fatimah, al-Hasan, and al-Husayn are the Ahlul-Bayt, and the purification sentence in Qur’an (the last sentence of Verse 33:33) was revealed for the virtue of the above-mentioned individuals, and NOT for the wives of the Prophet (S). Also it is apparent from above authentic tradition that the Prophet himself excluded his wives from Ahlul-Bayt. If Umm Salama (رضي الله عنه) was among Ahlul-Bayt, why didn’t the Prophet answer her positively? Why didn’t he enter her into the cloak? Why did the Prophet tell her that she remains in her own position? If the Prophet (S) would consider Umm Salama among Ahlul-Bayt, he would surely have entered her to the cloak and would have prayed for her perfect purity as well. It is also worth mentioning that the Prophet (S) did NOT say: "These are among the Members of my House". He rather said: "These are THE Members of my House”since there was no other member of Ahlul-Bayt who was alive at the time of the Prophet (S). Also notice that Umm Salama (رضي الله عنه) who is the virtuous wife of the Prophet is the narrator of the tradition to his son and gives the testimony that who Ahlul-Bayt are. In the tradition of al-Hakim the wording the last question and answer is as follows: Umm Salama said: "O Prophet of Allah! Am I not one of the members of your family?”The Holy Prophet replied: "You have a good future but only these are the members of my family. O Lord! The members of my family are more deserving." Sunni reference: al-Mustadrak, by al-Hakim, v2, p416 Also the wording reported by al-Suyuti and Ibn al-Athir is as follows: Umm Salama said to the Holy Prophet: "Am I also one of them?”He replied: "No. You have your own special position and your future is good." Sunni reference: • Usdul Ghabah, by Ibn al-Athir, v2, p289 • Tafsir al-Durr al-Manthoor, by al-Suyuti, v5, p198 Also al-Tabari quotes Umm Salama saying: I said, "O Prophet of Allah! Am I not also one of your Ahlul-Bayt?”I swear by the Almighty that the Holy Prophet did NOT grant me any distinction and said: "You have a good future." Sunni reference: Tafsir al-Tabari, v22, p7 under the commentary of verse 33:33 Beside Sahih Muslim and Sahih al-Tirmidhi from which we quoted the Tradition of Cloak on the authority of Aisha and Umm Salama respectively, below are more Sunni references of the Tradition of Cloak who reported both versions of the traditions: (3) Musnad Ahmad Ibn Hanbal, v6, pp 323,292,298; v1, pp 330-331; v3, p252; v4, p107 from Abu Sa’id al-Khudri (4) Fadha’il al-Sahaba, by Ahmad Ibn Hanbal, v2, p578, Tradition #978 (5) al-Mustadrak, by al-Hakim, v2, p416 (two traditions) from Ibn Abi Salama, v3, pp 146-148 (five traditions), pp 158,172 (6) al-Khasa’is, by an-Nisa’i, pp 4,8 (7) al-Sunan, by al-Bayhaqi, narrated from Aisha and Umm Salama (8) Tafsir al-Kabir, by al-Bukhari (the author of Sahih), v1, part 2, p69 (9) Tafsir al-Kabir, by Fakhr al-Razi, v2, p700 (Istanbul), from Aisha (10) Tafsir al-Durr al-Manthoor, by al-Suyuti, v5, pp 198,605 from Aisha and Umm Salama (11) Tafsir Ibn Jarir al-Tabari, v22, pp 5-8 (from Aisha and Abu Sa’id al-Khudri), pp 6,8 (from Ibn Abi Salama) (10 traditions) (12) Tafsir al-Qurtubi, under the commentary of verse 33:33 from Umm Salama (13) Tafsir Ibn Kathir, v3, p485 (Complete version) from Aisha and Umar Ibn Abi Salama (14) Usdul Ghabah, by Ibn al-Athir, v2, p12; v4, p79 narrated from Ibn Abi Salama (15) Sawa’iq al-Muhriqah, by Ibn Hajar al-Haythami, Ch. 11, sec. 1, p221 from Umm Salama (16) Tarikh, by al-Khateeb Baghdadi, v10, narrated from Ibn Abi Salama (17) Tafsir al-Kashshaf, by al-Zamakhshari, v1, p193 narrated from Aisha (18) Mushkil al-Athar, by al-Tahawi, v1, pp 332-336 (seven traditions) (19) Dhakha’ir al-Uqba, by Muhibb al-Tabari, pp21-26, from Abu Sa’id Khudri (20) Majma’ al-Zawa’id, by al-Haythami, v9, p166 (by several transmitters) ... and more ... Here is another authentic variation of "The Tradition of Cloak”which is related to Safiyya who was another wife of the Prophet (S). Ja’far Ibn Abi Talib narrated: When the Messenger of Allah noticed that a blessing from Allah was to descent, he told Safiyya (one of his wives): "Call for me! Call for me!”Safiyya said: "Call who, O the Messenger of Allah?”He said: "Call for me my Ahlul-Bayt who are ‘Ali, Fatimah, al-Hasan, and al-Husayn.”Thus we sent for them and they came to him. Then the Prophet (S) spread his cloak over them, and raised his hand (toward sky) saying: "O Allah! These are my family (Aalee), so bless Muhammad and the family (Aal) of Muhammad.”And Allah, to whom belong Might and Majesty, revealed: "Verily Allah intends to keep off from you every kind of uncleanness O’ People of the House (Ahlul-Bayt), and purify you a thorough purification (Qur’an, the last sentence of Verse 33:33)". Sunni references: • al-Mustadrak by al-Hakim, Chapter of "Understanding (the virtues) of Companions, v3, p148. The author then wrote: "This tradition is authentic (Sahih) based on the criteria of the two Shaikhs (al-Bukhari and Muslim)." • Talkhis of al-Mustadrak, by al-Dhahabi, v3, p148 • Usdul Ghabah, by Ibn al-Athir, v3, p33 Although the majority of traditions on this issue show that the last sentence of the verse 33:33 was revealed in the house of Umm Salama (as quoted earlier), the above tradition implies that it might have been revealed in the house of Safiyya. Based on the opinion of the Sunni scholars including Ibn Hajar, it is quite possible that the verse was revealed more than once. In each occasion, the Prophet repeated his action in front of different wives so that they all realize who his Ahlul-Bayt are. The testimony of three wives of the Prophet (Aisha, Umm Salama, and Safiyya) leaves us no room but to believe that the Ahlul-Bayt at the time of the Prophet were no more than five individuals: Prophet Muhammad, Lady Fatimah, Imam ‘Ali, al-Hasan, and al-Husayn (Peace be upon them all). The fact that the gender in later part of Verse 33:33 is switched from feminine to masculine, has led the majority of Sunni commentators to believe that the last part was revealed for Imam ‘Ali, Fatimah, al-Hasan and al-Husayn, as Ibn Hajar al-Haythami indicated: Based on the opinion of the majority of (Sunni) commentators, the saying of Allah:"Verily Allah intends to ... (the last sentence of the verse 33:33)”was revealed for ‘Ali, Fatimah, al-Hasan, and al-Husayn, because of the usage of masculine gender in the word "Ankum”and after that. Sunni reference: al-Sawa’iq al-Muhriqah, by Ibn Hajar, Ch. 11, section 1, p220 Although the Shi’a have great respect for the highly righteous wives among the wives of the Prophet (S), such as Khadija, Umm Salama, Umm Ayman and ... (may Allah be pleased with them) who closely followed the Prophet and his Ahlul-Bayt before and after the demise of Prophet (S), yet we do not include even those respected individuals into Ahlul-Bayt since the Prophet clearly excluded them according to the authentic Sunni and Shi’i traditions. Ahlul-Bayt have exceptional virtues that no other pious person after the Prophet would possess them in the world, which are according to Qur’an: sinlessness, flawlessness and perfect purity. I hope you understand now. If you need even further hadith clarifying who is the ahlulbayt specifically https://www.al-islam.org/shiite-encyclopedia/who-are-ahlul-bayt-part-2 Wa Salaam1 point -

Salam! Was son of Noah not a part of family of Prophet Noah (عليه السلام)? 11:46 [God] answered: "O Noah, behold, he was not of thy family, for, verily, he was unrighteous in his conduct. Lets see the conduct of some of the wives of Prophet 66:4) If you both turn to Allah, then indeed your hearts are already inclined; and if you back up each other against him, then surely Allah it is Who is his Guardian, and Jibreel and -the believers that do good, and the angels after that are the aiders. There indeed are some very pious ladies who were the wives of Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) but not all of them are the members of the Ahlul Bayt عليهم السلام who are the chosen ones of God Almighty, the purified ones for whom the verse of purification was revealed.1 point -

Why does everyone on Social Media have either Autism or ADHD now?
SO SOLID SHIA reacted to Kalepaceh for a topic
I believe that the percentage of people having ADHD at this time than maybe 20 years ago is much higher because people are using hours on social media, and if you use so much time scrolling and scrolling, its completely normal for your dopamine level to get messed up, therefore leading to brain fog and ADHD. This is something I have witnessed myself. I didn't had any problems concentrating before I used SM, but after when I used it for over 4 hours a day, I felt so empty in my mind and have a hard time concentrating. Another thing that, in my opinion, can lead to ADHD is Porn. That's why if people are addicted to porn and masturbation, when they leave this habit, they feel much stronger mentally. What do you guys think?0 points -
I feel like social media makes people "autistic" and gives them "ADHD", if that makes sense. Studies have shown that social media addiction lowers ones attention span and destroys social skills. I believe there was a study on TikTok, Youtube Shorts, etc. that showed they slow brain function, and that digital social media has slowed the human attention span to about 8 seconds - which is lower than that of a goldfish. Now take that fact and apply that to small children in their developmental years - and you begin to see why everyone is "autistic" now. https://time.com/3858309/attention-spans-goldfish/0 points
