Are U.S. Democrats really “communists”? Defining the label
Ashvazdanghe and one other reacted to Son of Placid for a topic
There's no use looking for classic signs of communism. You will never hear the term from democrats. When they speak of communism they bring up Putin but would rather you remember the Soviet Union in the 40's. Hitler, Kim Jung Un. They'll talk Xi Jinping but they'll also talk Mao. Communism is a horrible, horrible thing that could never, ever happen in the USA. It would put everyone back in to slavery and they already had that. It was a bad, bad thing they are never allowed to forget. It's a terrible way to have to live but we'll never stop them because; (My Crime Minister admires China's rule of the people). We enable China to abuse their people. It's the balance that allows the free world to afford their consumer greed. Workers have a bed above the factory they work in, are fed enough to keep them working and sleep so they can work more. They have nothing to their name. Others live in apartment complexes owned by the government. The work, eat, sleep is still the same but they have to buy their own groceries. All this to keep up with American demand for Chinese products. America can never again be independent of China because everybody here wants big bucks per hour for what they do. The $5. Chinese item made in USA would be $35. Free shipping from China, $20. by UPS. eBay, Amazon... We can own lots of stuff in a free country. I own a house on 6 acres of land, as long as I can keep up with mortgage and taxes. It would only take a few months of non payment and all that I own comes in to question. Housing in the cities is beyond the financial ability of the next generation so they aren't even trying. Single home dwellings are being bought up at a rapid pace by firms such as Blackrock, and are being levelled, replaced with apartment complexes. My son works construction. His job has been to relandscape areas in to single home communities. In the last few years he's been doing more demolition for apartment complexes. Interesting note; Google earth, Moscow. No single home ownership, all apartment buildings to the sky. It's happening here without communism. Downsizing is the trend. Rent a smaller apartment, clear your living space of all unessential items, become the owner of the contents. You can own your xbox but you pay to play. You can own a TV but you pay to use it. Your cell phone is on a contract. The irony is, what you own is worth nothing without the services. Many people already live this lifestyle and are happy. The petro-dollar is on it's way out. It's actually a pretend dollar anyway based on how much oil is still in the ground. We will soon move to a credit system. A global credit system. One that records everything through algorithms. It's not new. All our information has been bought and sold daily since Microsoft's first platform, Windows. We are all a space in multiple databases, soon to be centralized into one database capable of not only monitoring but controlling. Is it possible, is it ethical? One small example from the mid 90's I was working the tool room of an industrial facility. Tools were mostly controlled but sundries were rampant. I became part of a project to install "vending machines" out front of the tool room for consumables. Everybody gets a card to scan for items. The machines were all hooked up to a database so the company could monitor consumption, but then the program was set up to flag consumption. Then a guy sitting in an office decides 10 rolls of electrical tape is too many for one Electrician, and mechanics don't need it. Next thing you know, black tape is one roll per person. Next thing you know one guy tries to get more by manipulating the machine and I'm getting a call from head office demanding a full investigation. I told the manager that he had all the information and could tell me. A week later the rep told me he had just put the report on the managers desk and he already knew who and what when he called me. My job was to get the guy off with a warning because he can't do his job without materials. An algorithm could have cut him off without consult from anyone. That is where we're headed. Trudeau just showed us how quickly people can lose access to their bank accounts. We're not looking at communism but eventual control of every aspect of our lives electronically. Which is worse?2 points -

Are U.S. Democrats really “communists”? Defining the label
Son of Placid reacted to Silas for a topic
US Democrats are certainly not Communists in any traditional sense of the term. They do not support the total elimination of private property, absolute centralized planning, and the revolution of the working class --despite what some members of their left-wing assert Many Democrats are centrist capitalists and career politicians. Grifters. The left-wing of the party has embraced a bizarre, irrationalist, and reactionary ideology that is barely coherent, and totally destructive. It is a combination of extremist identity politics, irrationalist rhetoric, degeneracy (promotion of pederasty, transgenderism, poly-amorous relationships, militant atheism), with a smattering of neoliberal globalism and green-energy fanaticism. It is clown world. I can fully respect Communists of the old-school (although I am not one of them), but I cannot respect this abomination that we see these days. It is a project design to subvert society.1 point -

I agree, and also I see the Adhan as symetrical with salah. No 3rd tashahud in salah, not in adhan either.1 point -
Yes. Big red flag. If they do not care if their wife prays, that means they also do not care if their children pray. For someone who prays, you would think that they would care about that. So it doesn't make sense. Ask the potential spouse to explain why they said that. If the explanation doesn't make sense, I would recommend not moving forward with it.1 point

Since the Prophet Muhammad and the A'immah never said the third testimony in the athan and the iqamah, there is no reason for us to include it, especially since the Prophet and the Ahl ul-Bayt know better than us. Just because it may be technically permissible does not mean that it is recommended nor that we should do it. If it was recommended, the Prophet Muhammad would have said the third testimony in the athan and iqamah within his lifetime, like following the event where he had announced that Imam Ali would be his successor.1 point -

I meant to say 'Sumerian' and not "Samarian" Throughout his life, Crowley emphatically maintained that Aiwass was an independent entity and not a suppressed part of his personality or of his subconscious mind...materialistically-inclined cynics aggravated him tremendously by dismissing his claims that Aiwass was an objectively separate being from himself1 point -

In pre-safavid era we have narrations mentioning the saying of al-salato khayrun min al-nawm in adhan. Some of those ahadith have trustworthy isnaad but the scholars declared that it was said out of taqaiyyah. As mentioned in the report where Imam (عليه السلام) has said to abandon "haiyya ala khayril amal" in adhan: حديث تفسير الأذان أنه قال: فيه الله أكبر، الله أكبر، الله أكبر، الله أكبر، أشهد أن لا إله إلا الله، أشهد أن لا إله إلا الله، أشهد أن محمدا رسول الله (صلى الله عليه وآله)، أشهد أن محمدا رسول الله (صلى الله عليه وآله)، حي على الصلاة، حي على الصلاة، حي على الفلاح، حي على الفلاح، الله أكبر، الله أكبر لا إله إلا الله، لا إله إلا الله، وذكر في الإقامة: قد قامت الصلاة. قال الصدوق: إنما ترك الراوي حي على خير العمل، للتقية. So what if Sheikh Sadooq was wrong? Or what if you somewhere misunderstanding what was meant by Sheikh Sadooq? Lets see the report first: All depends on your understanding of what he meant by وزادوا بها في الأذان. Keeping in view the clear ahadith shared earlier, one can recite third testimony with the intention of istehbaab, instead of declaring it part of the adhan. Sheikh Sadooq himself accepting the truth that there is no doubt that Ali (عليه السلام) is the amir ul momineen truly. And he has not issued any ruling that saying the third testimony with the intention of istehbaab would invalidate the adhan. So all you can argue with these sort of reports is that saying Aliyyun wali ullah is not the part of adhan, and we do agree that it is not the part of adhan. Just like one says "wahdahu la shareeka lahu" after saying the first testimony. The phrase is not the part of أصل الأذان، and it is the truth too so saying it as mustahab zikr, doesn't invalidate the adhan. The problem actually occurs when you refuse understanding the simple fact and start accusing your brothers in faith that they are following the ghulat & safavids, while you know that they are not really following them. You are not only accusing them of abandoning the sunnah of ai'mmah e tahireen (عليه السلام) but also rejecting the use of third testimony as istehbaab while there are many sahih ahadith present in our books, mentioning the importance of saying third testimony after the second. And you are also doubting on their sincerity, refusing to accept their clarification and trying to create a fitnah with that. For you, it is easy to say in hidden words that a vast majority of present day scholars and scholars of the past have "abandoned" the sunnah of Imams (عليه السلام). This is not more than a fitnah mongering.1 point -

Are U.S. Democrats really “communists”? Defining the label
Ashvazdanghe reacted to notme for a topic
Good analysis. It's neoliberalism, which is a socially liberal and financially conservative ideology and they're evil. But they're not thinking about society as a whole, they're just trying to bring the greatest possible amount of "wealth" away from the people and to themselves. They wouldn't care if we lived or died, except that we're useful to them as a resource. They value us no more than they value trees or water or oxygen, and if they could replace us with a technological solution, they absolutely would.1 point -
Are U.S. Democrats really “communists”? Defining the label
Son of Placid reacted to Northwest for a topic
@Son of Placid I am fully aware of the Great Reset and globalism, neither of which I promote or even like. The problem is that many on the right are labelling these programmes as “communist” without defining communism. I am comparing these initiatives with the economic policies (I am ignoring the social aspects) outlined by Marx and his followers in the USSR et al. A big part of the Great Reset, for instance, is Gaia-worship or “sustainability.” It reflects the geocentric position of the Ptolemaic philosophy in which the universe revolves around the Earth, that is, the pagan Mother Goddess personified. By contrast, Soviet-style economics strongly pushed for mass industrialisation, rather than the deindustrialisation advocated by Klaus Schwab and Co. Some excerpts from the preceding link, which promotes the globalist Great Reset: As the article notes above, taxation on upper-bracket income was higher during the 1950s and early 1960s than it is currently. A number of observers have pointed out that the entire Great Reset, including “COVID-19,” was part of a larger plan to liquidate debt. In particular short-term inflation is being promoted by the financiers to eliminate consumer debt and pave the way to fiscal austerity. As far as social aspects are concerned: the Communists in the USSR, Cuba, etc. did not support the licentiousness that the globalists permit, for they frequently looked down and even criminalised sodomy (male homosexuality), deeming it “bourgeois” (capitalist) in origin. The globalists, by contrast, are openly promoting sodomy. My point is that the economics of globalism certainly don’t seem to be “communist” in the classical sense.1 point -

Apostle Paul and Jesus’ divinity: lost in translation?
PureExistence1 reacted to Son of Placid for a topic
Paul was the catalyst in the first split of the church. James was the leader in the church of Jerusalem, many Jews had turned to Christianity while Paul was off preaching to the Gentiles. The problem arose when the Jews figured that all Christians should become Jews first. Paul came to James and said, you gotta do something. It was James and his group of elders that made the decision that Gentiles could be saved without having to go through all the old Jewish rules. Paul wasn't even in the council. He waited outside for the ruling. I've never come across anywhere that Paul called Jesus God. That didn't happen for another 300 some years. Big commotion caused by Arius. We don't have much on him, he mysteriously died shortly after being allowed back in to the council of Nicaea and all his notes were burned. The first council of Nicaea was all about compiling a Bible but the big argument was about Jesus being God. The duality of God? It was another 400 years or so before another council decided on a trinity. There is nothing in the Bible that states Father, son, and holy spirit are all one. Jesus always called God His Father, which was usually followed by, who is in heaven. Paul called him the "firstborn" of all creation which leads us back to Lagos. The concept of Lagos is interesting. In the first two books of the Bible, Genesis, Exodus, "The Word" was quite active. More so than just a thought or a book. Jesus did make the statement, "Before Abraham was, I am." which goes back to Moses and the burning bush where Moses asked for a name. This was considered blasphemy because it would seem Jesus was saying He was the "I AM" God, but there is another fallacy in Christianity and that is the teaching that all names mentioned in the OT mean the one and only Almighty God. At the burning bush the first introduced was the Angel of the Lord. Then Jehovah, then Elohim. That would be 3 entities. I seem to have lost my Hebrew translator so I can't give reference. Jehovah is translated as Almighty God in all context. Elohim is a term used in plural, and can be God, goddess, gods, goddesses, all the way down to kings and rulers. The words, I am the God of your father, the God of Abraham, the God of... the word used was Elohim, not Jehovah. In other places the term Lord God is translated from Jehovah Elohim, (God of gods). This being the case it is quite possible that God Almighty did not personally spend 40 years running His people around a desert. This also makes it quite possible that the spirit of "Lagos" was reborn in the body of Jesus. The beginning of Lagos is still undetermined in my mind. It could possibly go back to the third verse of Genesis when God said "Let there be light", prior to the sun being created. Certainly not a point I could argue but... This would explain how Jesus was able to talk as a baby, as noted in the Quran. It would also explain Jesus shaping clay into a bird and it flying off. If the spirit that indwelled Jesus was there at creation, He would understand the process. Of course that messes with the beliefs of Christianity and Islam.1 point -
