  1. I have logged in after 1 or 2 years. I would have logged in earlier most of the time when I am inactive I forget my credentials so to be able to access shia chat again I will have to figure out My email id (by accesing the website on browser) If I get it, Reset my password to new one I feel very lethargic to do this so my inactive period increases although I go through post anonymously. We are still on a website I would think that if we also have the option of shia chat app we will see that more people are active as it's the go to thing now a days. Also the dev team should if possible send a reminder email with subject "we miss you" to users let's say who have not logged in from last 45 days with a missing message and especially resetting credentials link should be in the body also an interesting post from platform can be added with a message that we miss your replies. We see this kind of reminder emails from paltforms like Facebook, twitter etc.

  5. MIRACLES OF IMAM MUSA AL-KADHIM (عليه السلام) Prison and the miracle of the Imam Waki has narrated from Amash that he said: During the time Imam Musa Al-Kadhim (عليه السلام) was imprisoned in the jail of Harun it happened many times that the Imam used to disappear from there, but was again seen there after some time. Source: Dalailul Imamah, Pg. 157; Ithbatul Huda, Vol. 3, Pg. 209 Reviving a felled tree Amash narrates: Once I was travelling with Imam (عليه السلام) when we came across a tree lying that had been cut down, but when the Imam passed his hand on it affectionately it became verdant and fructified. The Imam ate the fruits and offered me as well. Source: Dalailul Imamah, Pg. 158 The Imam’s miracle in Prison Ghalib bin Marrah and Muhammad bin Ghalib say: We, father and son, were interred in Harun’s prison, where neither we got clean drinking water nor any shade or tree to shelter below. During that time Imam Musa Al-Kadhim (عليه السلام) was also brought to our prison. For him Almighty Allah created a spring of pristine water and caused a tree to grow over there. He used to drink the cool water of this spring and sitting under the shade of the tree remained engrossed in devotions. And the strange thing was that when one of Harun’s men visited the prison, he was not able to see that spring and the tree. Source: Dalailul Imamah, Pg. 157 Descent of the table from the heavens Musa bin Harun narrates: In Harun’s prison, many a times, I observed a tray of food descending from the sky for Imam Musa Al-Kadhim (عليه السلام). The Imam ate from it and also offered to the other prisoners; and all the prisoners used to be satiated, but the food remained as it was. Then it used to return to the heavens. Source: Dalailul Imamah, Pg. 158 Wild beasts and obedience of the Imam Ammara bin Zaid says that Ibrahim bin Saad has narrated to me: Harun Rashid starved the beasts of the zoo for a number of days. Then he told me to take Musa Al-Kadhim (عليه السلام) amidst them so that they devour him. Under the orders of Harun I sent Musa Al-Kadhim (عليه السلام) to the starving beasts. As soon as the animals saw the Imam they ambled to him and started licking his feet and began to go around him; they were also telling him something in their language. When Harun was informed about this he released the Imam from the prison lest people learn about such incidents and become more devoted to him. Source: Dalailul Imamah, Pg. 158

  6. Didn't spend much time on this, so don't be surprised if it's not that good. Who is Mu'awiya? The son of Abu Sufyan, the enemy of the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him. The son of Hind, the cannibal who ate the liver of Hamza, the uncle of the Prophet, who fought beside him. The one who was named 'the barking one', a title truly for his personality, The alcoholic idol worshipper until he heard about Islam and spirituality. But no, he didn't stop because he believed in the deen, It was actually a matter of the Caliph who would succeed. Umar Ibn Al-Khattab put him in power, And Mu'awiya was able to fulfill his whole desire. Until the Lion of Allah, Ali Ibn Abi Talib, rose to the Caliphate, He fought Mu'awiya at Siffin to set him straight. They could not kill him during the war, So instead they did it while he was prostrating on the floor. A man who was godly, and with him is our salvation, Killed by the most miserable of all generations. So who is Mu'awiya? Sit, let me tell you, He is the one who killed the brother of the Prophet, his soul too. Amirul Mu'mineen, Imam al-Muttaqeen, Ya'soob al-Muslimeen, Abal-Miskeen. Mazhar al-Ajaaib, Asadullahil-Ghalib, Ali Ibn Abi Talib, (عليه السلام).

    Being wealthy

The main reason why the US is different than other 'Industrialized' or 'First World' countries in this way is because, mostly, of religion. The US has traditionally been more religious than the other countries, and the two major religions in the US are Christianity (#1 by far), Islam, then Judaism. There are more Muslims in the US than there are Jews (by numbers but definitely not by influence). So in these three religions, as you know already, having children is seen as a Blessing from God(s.w.a) and the ones who believe this would have children and the tax benefits, social benefits, expenses related to childcare, etc, are very much a secondary consideration. Christianity, Islam, and Judaism are pretty much the same on this point. There is a phrase used commonly in the US, 'Making it work'. Meaning that if something is a good things to do, then just do it, and the other stuff will work itself out. So this has been the traditional attitude of the people of these three religions regarding children in the US. It is kind of a faith based, rather than economic based approach, to the decision of whether to have children. The US Government is very aware of this, so they make policy based on this deeply held traditional belief. They are stingy with the social benefits for having children, knowing that people will have children anyway because of their faith. Also, the US traditionally has a higher immigrant population (1st generation) than most other countries. The Govt also knows that 1st generation immigrants almost always have children because they perceive moving to the US as a sign they have 'made it', so they feel more secure economically (which is sometimes an illusion but perception equals reality to them) and thus more willing to have children. When I say these things, I am speaking traditionally. In the US, both these factors are changing and the US Govt doesn't know what to do about it. First, the US is becoming less religious, in general (although this is not affecting the Muslim community as much but it is still effecting to a smaller extent). Also, the US is not letting in as many immigrants as they did traditionally, so 1st generation immigration is also slowing down. So you see that these two factors have combined, and with the effect of the pandemic thrown in, for the first time last year in the US you had a negative birth rate, i.e. more people died in the US in 2020(1) than were born. Also, the Birth rate for 2019 was 1.7 per women, below replacement rate of 2.1. Any number less than 2.2 means a declining population, above 2.1 is increasing population, 2.1 means the population is neither increasing or declining (replacement). So the US is starting to resemble other 'First World' countries more and more. https://fivethirtyeight.com/features/how-low-can-americas-birth-rate-go-before-its-a-problem/#:~:text=The U.S. fertility rate hit,has been underway for years. The Democratic Party is in favor of letting in more immigrants plus increasing social benefits (such as reimbursement for child care, paid family leave, etc) because they are more aware of this issue. They have realized that the current reality is declining birth rates and this will eventually completely upend the US System of Government. The Republicans are either not aware of it, or are aware but are more interested in blocking anything that the Democratic party does, so this is what they are doing, blocking this legislation. So there is really no hope of this changing in the near future. At the same time, there is another huge factor in the birth rate decline. The greed and excesses of the US version of capitalism. The US version of Capitalism values profit over everything else. Because of this, every device at their disposal is used to maximize profit. The main mechanism they use is interest (riba). Most Americans pay, probably more than 1/3 of their income in interest, between interest on credit cards, student loans, mortgages, etc. Because wages haven't been increasing but the amount of interest they pay has been, there is no money left over to pay child related expenses. So this interest goes to make rich people even richer, and stops younger people from having children, because with all the interest and other bills they pay, they can't imagine how they will pay the expenses of having a child. So they don't. This effects religious, as well as non religious people. I actually think this could be the main factor.

  8. Nice conduct with the enemy Sharif Abu Muhammad Hasan bin Muhammad said on the authority of his grandfather (Yahya bin Hasan), on the authority of another of his colleagues and teachers, (who said): A man from the family of Umar bin Khattab was in Medina trying to harm Imam Musa Al-Kadhim (عليه السلام). Whenever he saw him he would curse him and curse Ali (عليه السلام). One day some of those who used to attend his gatherings said to him: “Let us kill this sinner.” He forbade them from (doing) that most firmly and rebuked them severely. He asked about the descendant of Umar and was told that he had a farm on the outskirts of Medina. He rode out to him and found him at his farm. As he entered the farm with his donkey, the descendant of Umar cried out: “Do not tread on my sown land.” Yet Imam Al-Kadhim (عليه السلام) continued to tread on it with his donkey until he reached him. He dismounted and sat with him. He greeted him with a smile and laughed at him. “How much have you paid to sow your land?” he asked. “One hundred Dinars,” (the other man) answered. “How much do you hope to acquire from it?” “I do not know the unknown,” was the reply. “I only asked you about what you hope it would bring you,” retorted the Imam. “I hope that it will bring me two hundred Dinars,” he answered. Imam Musa Al-Kadhim (عليه السلام) took out a purse in which was three hundred Dinars and said: “This is (the price) of what you have sown in its present condition (i.e. what you have spent to sow it and what you hope to gain from it.) May Allah provide you with what you hope for from it.” The descendant of Umar kissed his head and asked him to forgive his (former) hasty words about him. Imam Musa Al-Kadhim (عليه السلام) smiled at him and went away. In the evening he went to the Masjid and found that descendant of Umar sitting there. When the latter saw him, he called out: “Allah knows best where to put his (prophetic) mission. His companions jumped (in surprise) towards him and said to him: “What is the story (behind what you say), for you used to speak quite differently from this.” “You have heard what I have said now,” he replied and began to speak in support of Imam Musa Al-Kadhim (عليه السلام). They opposed him and he opposed them. When Imam Musa Al-Kadhim (عليه السلام) returned to his house, he said to those who attended his gatherings and who had asked about killing the descendant of Umar: “Which was better - what you wanted or what I wanted? I put right his attitude to the extent which you have now become acquainted with. I was sufficient for the evil that was in him.” Source: Irshaad, Mufeed, Pg. 297; Elamul Wara, Pg. 296.

  9. Shahadat of Imam Musa al Kadhim | Shaykh Azhar Nasser I extend my condolences to all Mu’mineen on the Shahadat of our beloved Imam, Musa Ibn Jafar Al-Kadhim (عليه السلام). I would very much recommend this video. The Sheikh speaks about the Imam’s title ‘Bab Al-Hawaaij’, he talks about the Taqiyya that the Shia of the Imam had to practice, and of course no Majlis is complete without the Masaaib at the end. Enjoy inshallah.

  10. We have numerous ahadith such as this one which state that even those Muwahideen on the Day of Judgement will not be saved if they do not believe in Wilayah: There's also this hadith: I found an article that I thought you might find interesting entitled 'Salvation of Non-Shias'. Here's the link: https://purifiedhousehold.com/salvation-of-non-shias/ Here's the conclusion of the article: The third Shahada is necessary to become a Shia, how can you not have heard of it? It is testifying to the Wilayah of Amirul Momineen (عليه السلام). Here's some information about the third Shadhada, but I recommend that you do more research yourself: https://en.wikishia.net/view/Third_Testimony Sunnis love the enemies of AhlulBayt, and that's a fact. Those two (I'm sure you know who I'm talking about) caused so much to go wrong in the lives of the AhlulBayt. Imam al-Sadiq (عليه السلام) says in a Ziyarah that he left for us: So the followers of those who oppressed AhlulBayt are also cursed. This I do agree on. We live in a pluralistic society so we have to tolerate others' beliefs. But this does not mean that we compromise our beliefs for others. May Allah guide the entire Ummah to Sirat Al-Mustaqeem. Wassalam.

  12. Salam, yes, that’s what the story seems to be. But really, Mu’awiya had a part in the assassination of Amirul Momineen (عليه السلام). Here’s an article about it: https://www.al-islam.org/restatement-history-islam-and-muslims-sayyid-ali-asghar-razwy/assassination-ali “At this time no one in Dar-ul-Islam was more interested in the assassination of Ali than Muawiya. The plot to kill Ali, the skill displayed in its execution, and its success, show the touch of consummate subtlety and a high degree of professionalism which were characteristic of Muawiya alone, whereas Ibn Muljam was nothing more than a bumpkin. Muawiya employed the same “skill” in removing from the scene, real or fancied threats to his own security and power, on numerous other occasions in later times, with the same results.” May Allah bless you and give you Jannat al-Firdaus.

    I am lonely..

Hey, I thought that I was the only one who’s going through this but hearing you saying it out loud make me feel my pain. It’s so hard to be honest here, working from home and being in my apartment all days alone is killing me and I feel so depressed most of the time but I’m sure that Allaah’s plan is bigger than us.

  14. lnappropriate authentic "sunni" hadiths from "the mother of the believers" from "sunni" books and a "sunni" website: It was narrated that 'Aishah said: "I often scraped it (semen) from the garment of the Messenger of Allah with my hand." Sunan Ibn Majah 537 Chapter 82: Scraping semen from clothing, Book 1: The Book of Purification and its Sunnah Grade: Sahih (Darussalam) https://sunnah.com/ibnmajah:537 Narrated `Aisha: Do you make us (women) equal to dogs and donkeys? While I used to lie in my bed, the Prophet (ﷺ) would come and pray facing the middle of the bed. I used to consider it not good to stand in front of him in his prayers. So I used to slip away slowly and quietly from the foot of the bed till I got out of my guilt. Sahih al-Bukhari 508 Chapter 99: To offer As-Salat (the prayer) facing a bed, Book 8: Prayers (Salat) https://sunnah.com/bukhari:508 It was narrated that 'Aishah said: “The Verse of stoning and of breastfeeding an adult ten times was revealed (1), and the paper was with me under my pillow. When the Messenger of Allah died, we were preoccupied with his death, and a tame sheep came in and ate it.” 1: These verses were abrogated in recitation but not ruling. Other ahadith establish the number for fosterage to be 5. Sunan Ibn Majah 1944 Chapter 36: Breastfeeding an adult, Book 9: The Chapters on Marriage Grade: Hasan (Darussalam) https://sunnah.com/ibnmajah:1944 It was narrated that 'Aishah said: “Sahlah bint Suhail came to the Prophet and said: 'O Messenger of Allah, I see signs of displeasure on the face of Abu Hudhaifah when Salim enters upon me.” The Prophet said: “Breastfeed him.” She said: “How can I breastfeed him when he is a grown man? The Messenger of Allah smiled and said: “I know that he is a grown man.” So she did that, then she came to the Prophet and said: “I have never seen any signs of displeasure on the face of Abu Hudhayfah after that.” And he was present at (the battle of) Badr. Sunan Ibn Majah 1943 Chapter 36: Breastfeeding an adult, Book 9: The Chapters on Marriage Grade: Sahih (Darussalam) https://sunnah.com/ibnmajah:1943 Please, PLEASE turn to Shia Islam. We don't have these hadiths. May Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى) guide the Ummah.

  15. If you want to help yourself, read this whole post start to end. iA it will be helpful. -- "The month of Ramadan that wherein the Qur'an was sent down to be a guidance for mankind, and as clear signs of guidance and a criterion (between right and wrong). Therefore, whoever of you is present (at his home) during the month, he shall fast therein and whoever is sick or on a journey, he shall then (fast) the same number of other days; Allah desires ease for you, and He does not desire hardship for you; so you should complete the number (of days decreed), and exalt Allah for His having guided you, and that haply you might be grateful (to Him)." -- The primary evidence is the hadith of Imam as-Sadiq, which is considered sahih and is narrated by Zurarah. He asked Imam as-Sadiq about whether or not a person who doubts if they have slept has to do wudhu again (since sleep invalidates wudhu): ‎لا حتى يستيقن انه قد نام حتى يجئ من ذلك أمر بين و إلا فإنّه على يقين من وضوئه و لا ينقض اليقين أبداً بالشك و لكن ينقضه بيقين آخر No, not until he is absolutely certain that he has slept. This is because he was certain that he was on wudhu, and certainty is never broken by doubt. Certainty is only broken by another certainty. https://www.iqraonline.net/principle-of-istishab-and-its-types/ -- Muhammad ibn Ya’qub al-Kulayni (M) who reports from Muhammad ibn Yahya, from Ahmad ibn Muhammad, from Ibn Mahbub, from ‘Abd Allah ibn Sinan, who said: I mentioned to Abu ‘Abd Allah (A) (Imam Sadiq (a)) a man who was troubled by waswas in his wudu, and salat, adding that he is a man of intelligence. Thereupon Abu ‘Abd Allah (A) said, “What kind of intelligence has he when he obeys Satan?” I said, “How does he obey Satan?” The Imam replied, “Ask him regarding its cause and he will tell you that it is a work of Satan.”1 He (i.e. the Prophet) said, “Satan lays his snout, which is like the snout of a pig, on the heart of the son of Adam, and instigates him to turn towards the world (dunya) and that which God has not made lawful. But when he remembers God, Satan slinks away.” Majma’ al-bahrayn, under “kh.n.s.,” p. 305 -- You must take the time to read this start to end. Mutah Experiences

(bismillah) (salam) Alhamdulillah, we were at the same university and had two classes together, so we would talk to each other before and after our classes. I was a Christian and found out he was a Muslim. He explained that Muslims don't date, but if they want they can get married temporarily. He said later they can marry permanently OR break their temporary marriage IF they can't get along. He never tried to hold hands, hug or kiss me, so I knew he was a complete gentleman. His piety was impressive, and this made me more interested in him and his beliefs. I felt that I could trust him and he would never harm me. He shared a house off campus with three other guys, and I lived in the woman's dorm with another girl. He and I used to go for a walk and just talk, to get away from our roommates. We set the time of our mut'ah marriage as four years. We thought this would be long enough for both of us to earn our bachelor degree. Four years made me feel secure that he was not just using me for a few days or a few weeks. I'm sure that if he had wanted a shorter time, less than one year, I would have been reluctant to marry him by mut'ah. We both agreed on the four years time limit and everything was good. On the weekends we began looking for an apartment. After six months of mut'ah marriage, we found a place near the campus and started living together. Our life became really pleasant. I no longer had to say goodbye in the evening and watch him walk away. We walked to the university in the morning and came back to the apartment for lunch. We went to the university in the afternoon and came back later. We had homework to do, of course. We had chores to get done, but it wasn't difficult because we helped each other. We cooked dinner together and saved half of it to eat for lunch the next day. After dinner we would sit and talk about anything we wanted, but usually it was about Islam. Sometimes we would discuss the Bible and the Qur'an. He was always patient to answer questions that I had about Islam. He translated some of the writings of Dr. Ali Shariati for me. I particularly liked his translation of the Four Prisons of Man, because it was not like anything I had read before. Later on, we bought his Hajj book and I thoroughly enjoyed reading that in English. One day I was ready to say my shahada and after I repeated the words, he took me to the sink and taught me how to take ablution. Then he taught me how to pray. Elahy shukr! To make a long story short, we were married permanently and now we have three sweet kids, mashAllah. If my experience sounds like a fairy tale, I can only say that Alhamdulillah, it was, because my husband was a momin. Ok, that is all. Don't ask me any personal questions! I've said too much already. I want to remain anonymous at ShiaChat! I just wanted to explain to those who don't believe in mut'ah that it is halal and is a blessing for couples.
