    The End Of Hezbo...

They forgot to add a women in China had a miscarriage and Hizballah was the problem. Like Sayyed said the things people fabricate about Hizballah you wont even find in Hollywood movies. I actually feel sorry for the people that actually believe them. The best answer to all these people who make these things up is in the words of Sayyed.. Skip to 1:23 "You don't understand the culture of this resistance, 30 years have past and you haven't understood it and you will never understand it "

    The Nostalgia Thread

These were not comfortable, but for some reason all the girls wore them: The boys wore these: And EVERYONE wore these: My little sister liked the jelly shoes and owned them in all colors. I owned a pink pair, but didn't much like them, especially on cold days when they stiffened up. It was a couple years later that I inherited several pairs of chucks from my stepsister. I had purple, red, blue, and black. I wore those shoes daily, wore them until their soles fell off, glued them back on, and kept wearing them. I think the last pair finally passed all possibility of repair shortly after I went to university. Oh, and since everyone else is showing their video games, I didn't own this, but some of my friends did and I was pretty good at it: One more, the phones reminded me! My parents like to listen to their police scanner. Next street over there lived a couple, Ron and Nancy. I don't know if they had an early mobile phone, or just a cordless, but their calls could be picked up on the scanner. Ron called Nancy several times a day, and usually they argued. It became like a radio soap opera. My parents would try to be sure they were home during times that there were usually calls. This went on for well over a year. I didn't live with my folks anymore at that time, but I visited a lot and caught regular Ron and Nancy updates.

Would You Be A Second Wife?

I'm not married so my opinion may change after getting married but if I was a first wife, I would allow my husband to marry a second wife who needs support and find it difficult to remarry such as a divorcee/widow only because I understand how difficult it is to get married to a good man. This stance may very well change after I do get married and may become the "clingy" "possessive" type or if I feel our children (or myself) will need time to be with their father and having a second wife may not allow that. Of course the husband has to consent to it as well. If the husband suggested it to fulfill his worldly desire I may not be so kind lol. Would I be a second wife? For now I wouldn't consider it maybe if I'm still single in my late thirties and the wife is completely okay with it and I am in a desperate need to get married or something ..maybe then I would. However, at this moment my ego won't allow me to lol.

Although, not as old as the ones above but this is my first phone at age 13. It was the first Nokia flip phone. I still have it and despite the hundreds of scratches on it, crack on it's mini front screen and the numerous times that I dropped it throughout the years, it still functions well up until now, lol. Let's see if my iphone will survive that long the same way 10 years from now.

Would You Be A Second Wife?

This is one of those questions where either 'yes' or 'no' is the correct answer For the women who say no, there is nothing in the religion that would compel you to be a second wife. You can be a mumina and reach the highest levels of Iman and be raised with Fatima Zahra(a.s), InShahAllah all while never having to be a second wife. For the women who said 'yes', then there is nothing in Islam that is stopping you from this. You can be a mumina and reach the highest levels of Iman and be raised with Fatima Zahra(a.s), InShahAllah All while being a second wife The only problem I think we have in the muslim community regarding this is that it seems sometimes that women who choose to be a second wife are looked down upon by other women and gheeba is done about them This is something that is wrong and shouldn't happen. Other than that, it's a choice which Allah(s.w.a) gives to his servants. I think the reason why polygamy is rare in the West, while it is less rare in the Middle East is 1) Polygamy is illegal in most Western Countries (despite the fact that gay marriage is now legal in most Western countries, go figure) Most people would like to stay within the law. Polygamy is not illegal in the Middle East 2) Polygamy is expensive. Since it is the man who is obligated to support the wife or wives financially, (except in mutah) and since living and maintaining even one household in most Western countries is expensive, maintaining two or more is nearly impossible. 3) Women in the West are not as 'cool' with the idea of polygamy. As can be seen from the majority of the posts here.

You know how Endless made that pic with SC on it and i suggested that we make it the logo? well wouldnt that be a fun thing to do on a regular basis? to get members to create 'Shia Chat' logo pictures (photos or graphics) and have weekly competitions to change the logo? or is that going to be too much trouble for the Admin? (See, i told you i should be part of the development team) Yes :) 50 thrifty points to you, although you would have got more if you use one. Interested In Shia Islam.

Thank you to all of you for your responses. I am a bit saddened that some turned my questions into an opportunity to argue. In my initial post I expressed my discomfort with the practice of tatbir, to which I received responses that comforted me that I need not agree with such practices to be shia and that, indeed, I would not me alone in my disapproval. It does not particularly make sense to me that anyone would find it necessary to start refuting such comfort by getting defensive. Are you trying to push people away? Also, I must respectfully disagree with the gentleman who suggested that being an interfaith faimily will tear its members apart. I have Jewish, Catholic, Protestant, and Buddhist family members and religion is not a problem in my family. We love and support one another and respect each other's traditions, without forcing our beliefs and practices on one another. Trying to convert your relatives is what tears families apart. "There is no compulsion in religion." (Qur'an 2:256) As for da'wa, is not the best da'wa the example of a pious and upright life amongst your fellow man? "Do you know what is better than charity, fasting, and prayer? It is keeping peace and good relations between peaople, as quarrels and bad feelings destroy mankind." (Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad, saw)

Would You Be A Second Wife?

Of course there is nothing wrong with not wanting to be a second wife, or not wanting your husband to take a second wife. There is however is a problem with the language some people use to talk about this topic. Polygamy is allowed in Islam, and is part of the sunnah of the Prophet (as is monogamy). As such, I do not think it is acceptable to attack the practice, or to talk about married men who propose to another woman as if they are sexual predators.

Ahlulbayt as chosen Guides, as the best people, as the light of Mohammad, as people God desires to keep nothing away from save the uncleanness while purifying them perfect purification, as our Leaders, as the way towards God, you say you love these people? The Quran says it's not Mohammad the disbelievers deny but it's rather the Ayatallah that disbelievers reject. The issue is they didn't have an issue with him as human, they even accepted him. They were however allergic to his status as God's chosen trustee and Guide towards himself. It's the same with deniers of Ahlulbayt station. They hate the station they been given out of jealousy due to their love of their own heroes and own leaders that no one but Satan has inspired them to have. When the dark reality of your disbelief, your hate towards God's exalted leaders will be revealed, then you will really know how clear this matter was but how stubborn your hearts was towards the truth.

Wise Choices: - If you are right then there is no need to get angry. And if you are wrong then you don't have any right to get angry. - Patience with family is love, Patience with others is respect. Patience with self is confidence. - Never think hard about the past. It brings tears. Don't think too much about the future. It brings fear. Live this moment with Allah in ur consciousness (taqwa) and a smile. -Every test in our life makes us bitter or better.Choice is ours.

    The Nostalgia Thread

Salaam aleikum jami'an I thought we should have a thread, similar to the thoughts thread, devoted strictly to nostalgia. This could be nostalgia specific to your country/culture, or something general, or something specific to yourself or your family/friends. But I think we should lay down some rules: 1) No haraam stuff. I don't care how fun it was when you crashed your car while blasting "100 Miles and Runnin" on the stereo, don't bring it up here. 2) Don't insult other people's nostalgia. That's none of your beeswax. Let's begin. For the Iranians in the house: Remember these? http://bayanbox.ir/id/380343666810277393?view Prepare yourself for this one: Awwwwwwwwww yeah: http://orig08.deviantart.net/4f33/f/2008/337/e/a/micro_genius_1_by_xivancorex.jpg There is more to come, of course. And not just Eye-ranian stuff. Just getting the ball rolling.

    What Is "sleep" ?

(salam) -even to the Gulf State monitor: What is sleep? Hard to experience when your littlest sister has a new, 8-day, squawk box (old Army slang for the radio --because when it powered it Squaaaaaaaaa -ked) As I wrote under Ate/Eating/Will Eat, yesterday it was 1500+ before I could get into car and go. Lebanese restaurant this time. But the other women bring their "auditory terrorists". It is not like an old cow that starts bellowing all night. You just go back to sleep knowing the dumb cow is smart enough to eventually figure it out. This 8-day old noises a staccato "ah-aahh, ah-aahh, ah-aahh ..." It must believe it is a peacock. Then there this 3 month girl does a fading "mee-ah, mee-ahh". She must think she is a cat. And this two month boy goes "cah -- cah --cah -- " like a crow. And all the pre-schools are magpies training for the Marathon. The Doctor this morning was happy, the 8-day old gain 5 oz in 3 days, the slight jaundice disappeared, and passed with flying colors. Ahamduallah. One 'bright' spot in one week. Yarrabi.

    I Use Medical Marijuana

Salam. You have a good question and I look forward to this discussion. Most people think intention is very important, so there is a difference between someone frivolously smoking marijuana to get "high" and someone who has a medical condition that requires taking marijuana under a doctor's prescription.

Would You Be A Second Wife?

I have been asked many times about writing a book about my life, it has been very interesting life and I am blessed to have been given such abundances from :Allah swt. But I'm a very private man, and I keep away from people as much as I can, I suffered from a rare form of Autism in my younger years of life which made me "unique" with abilities that most don't have, but this had consequences in my development. Even now in my 50s when I'm in a crowded shopping centre, I feel sick and my head spins around when people start looking at me, I can feel everything from them, it is quite scary. All I have are my wives and my kids, they understand me and support me the best they can. And that gets a lot sometimes for them. It is how it is when you live with a freak. This is why I turn to my :Imam atf, because I feel he understands me and he accepts me as I am, so I do everything to please him. I am in love with him and only him, as he came to me when I was in my mother's womb. He left a fragrance so sweet that ever since then I fell in love and seek to find him all my life. As I read more about the islam his grandfathers have given to us, the more I fell in love. In Islam, there are clear instructions on how to treat your wives and your kids. It tells you how to raise kids and how to be kind loving toward the wives. It is very different to the commercial take on love and marriage that most of humans are engulfed in thanks to hollywood and bollywood. The main support is of course emotional then financial towards the wives, the more I love my Imam the more love i get to give to my wive and kids, it's wonderful. my wives are Eastern European and Russian, they look like western women but have attitudes of Eastern a mix made in heaven for men like me raised in the west. These women are hungry to meet real men who can support and offer comfort that they never had like seeing the ocean when they wake up, or spending all night under the stars and watching the sunrise whilst offering salaat on your own deserted beach. I have seen the ocean all my life and when I took one of my wives to see the ocean for the first time not one but 2 oceans in Panama, when I saw the glow in her eyes, I saw the magic of Allahs swt creation once again and i cried at the marvel and beauty of his grandeur. But with all this I am very alone, because my Imam is hidden and I waited nearly 60 years for him, and sometimes it gets too much for me because I'm just an old lonely man wanting for his true love to show soon inshallah. I pray you find a man to take you closer to our beloved Imam atf, this is true and only love, everything else vanishes over time except his love which lasts forever.

He's up for marriage. It happens here in Pakistan too - the gifts are just meant to make your daughter (and your family in general) feel good and comfortable about the guy's family -a sign that they approve of the union :) But if you aren't sure, just get your daughter to ask the guy (as politely as possible of course) about the gifts and why his family sent them.

    Your conversion to Islam

Thank you very much for long sharing long brief with me... I will keep hiding practicing my faith. I heard about Taqqiya, but again, I should keep learn the laws of practicing Taqqiya in the daily life. But when I practice Salah my self, I guess, this is not a problem. If you live in my country, if you say you are muslim, that means you are following what the common muslims do (which mean Mazhab Syafi'i). Alhamdulillah, Wudu and Salah was not difficult for me to perform in few weeks. I could memorize 3 Surahs (Surah Al-Fateeha, Surah Tawheed, and Surah Al-Falaq) although I should learn from Sunni's perspective first. However I should find a group to correct my Arabic pronounciation, since this is not my native language that's why I joined the local group mosque. Hence since there is no Shia Mosque in my town, I will start lesson to read Qur'an start from next month. Talking about Salah, I found quite interesting source to read what nullify our Wudu : (a) Common between man and women: 1. Urine (and semen). 2. Stool. 3. Farting. (b) In women only: 4. Menstruation. 5. Irregular bleeding. 6. Post-natal bleeding. ii. The Mental Disability Factors: 7. Sound sleep (in which one cannot hear anything). 8. Drunkenness (from alcohol or drugs, etc.). 9. Unconsciousness. 10. Insanity. Source : http://www.al-islam.org/ritual-and-spiritual-purity-sayyid-muhammad-rizvi/ii-wudu But now I started to learn what you shared with me. I absolutely agree with what you told me about combining the Prayer eg: Dzuhur+Ashr and Maghrib+Isha. It is not that I try to make justification for myself, but this is what I believe. I should find Turbah for myself. Salam Brother, More than just thanks for sharing with me. I start to keep learning and learning. Both of you guys have shared the amazing audio files to learn for me. I have downloaded the Android Apps as well. I will try my best to learn more and more with the internet :). However to pronounce the Arabic and Qur'an, I think we really need to find the teacher. Even if we have disagreement about their interpretation, but they can be good teacher on how to read it.,

“As far as the preference of Mohammedanism to Orthodoxy is concerned…, I can fully sympathize with such conversion. To say this might be strange for me who values the Christian ideals and the teaching of Christ in their pure sense more that anything else, I do not doubt that Islam in its outer form stands higher than the Orthodox Church. Therefore, if a person is given only two choices: to adhere to the Orthodox Church or Islam, any sensible person will not hesitate about his choice, and anyone will prefer Islam with its acceptance of one tenet, single God and His Prophet instead such complex and incomprehensible things in theology as the Trinity, redemption, sacraments, the saints and their images, and complicated services…” Yasnaya Polyana, March, 15th, 1909 “I would be very glad if you were of the same faith with me. Just try to understand what my life is. Any success in life- wealth, honour, glory- I don’t have these. My friends, even my family are turning away from me. Some- liberals and aesthetes- consider me to be mad or weak-minded like Gogol; others- revolutionaries and radicals- consider me to be a mystic and a man who talks too much; the officials consider me to be a malicious revolutionary; the Orthodox consider me to be a devil. I confess that it is hard for me… And therefore, please, regard me as a kind Mohammedan, and all will be fine”. Yasnaya Polyana, April, 1884

Greetings, Yes, however in Islam praying is different from remembering constantly. Praying or Dua Is a request/ supplication. Salat the islamic 5 times a day which the english word unfortunately again is prayer , is actually God's command being done thru out the existence and creations .And if done properly we should be able to either witness the behind the scenes or get an understanding about it. Trying to remember something constantly is different. Zikr or remembrance is trying to remember and connect to the Creator who is doing all these great works, and to get to know who he is actually. To remember means that you have experienced something and you are trying to remember that. So we are ordered to constantly repeat - Allah - silently within our selves and think about Allah and his works . This remembering method is so high that it is considered higher than prayer in the Quran . "Recite what is revealed to you of the Scripture, and perform the prayer. The prayer prevents indecencies and evils. And the REMEMBRANCE of Allah is GREATER. And God knows what you do. (29: 45) "- Holy Quran Because remembering , along with thinking , needs alot of focus and mental training. As the whole existence is a sign post indicating towards him , so we can remember what our souls experienced before we came to this worldly earth , and forgot what we had experienced with our lord. Satan does not want us to achieve this because if we we achieve in constantly remembering and thinking about Our Lord,We can experience something beyond our imagination. All Gods prophets were constantly remembering him. That is why they could understand and do things beyond other humans, as they were directly in connection with God all the time. Hence they could split the ocean, bring dead to life, etc... It is very difficult to do constantly remember and think about our Lord at all times , even while talking , working etc. But it is showing priority to our creator. If you show priority to him , he will show priority to you. Islam is the religion of the mind, that is why it had given us a method of mind control and training. ------- Who REMEMBER Allah while standing or sitting or [lying] on their sides and give THOUGHT to the creation of the heavens and the earth, [saying], "Our Lord, You did not create this aimlessly; exalted are You [above such a thing]; then protect us from the punishment of the Fire." 3:191 And that is what scares satan , is to loose that control over our minds .
