  1. Imam Ja`far as-Sadiq [a] said, "On the occasion of his rising, our Qaʾim will have to confront ignorance even greater than that of the ignorant ones faced by the Messenger of Allah during the Age of Ignorance." A man asked, "And how is that?" The Imam replied, "At the time of the Prophet, he came to the people while they worshiped stones, rocks, plants and wooden statues, but when our Qaʾim will summon the people [to his Cause], everyone will interpret the entire Book of Allah against him, and they will argue against him using the Book." Then, the Imam said, "By Allah, his justice will enter inside their houses just as they are entered by the heat and the cold." 2. You all know I was struggling to find someone who would be happy with me even though I am not rich and I am going to Iran. Well I realized that it is not possible, so I decided to just wait until I go to Iran but I also put more effort into my religion and prayers and asked Allah to grant me a pious wife, sooner. Whilst also thanking him for giving me loneliness. As a part of my self development exercise, I have been giving generously to others and in college I gave the Brothers and Sisters some free stuff like money, lunch, books etc. I was particularly kind to one brother who is white bearded and I think because of that he went out of his way to find me someone :) Now he has found a family who seem happy with my plans and I will be arranging a meeting between our families soon. Moral of the story = Allah is most loving, all knowing, all powerful therefore rely on him. Please ask Allah to deliver me to what is best for me, the only thing which remains is for them to like my personality and my family. Beseech God sincerely please. Thanks Wasalam

  3. Salam to all, Let me just respond to some of the points made in this thread. First, if Imam Husain(a.s) and his movement that began at Karbala taught us anything, it is that the ends never justify the means. Imam Zain Al Abideen(a.s) said in his famous hadith that bad aklaq in a calamity is worse than the calamity itself. I see that many brothers are trying to condemn the support of some Palestinian groups for the Saudi / GCC Invasion of Yemen, but let's not get emotional here and lose our reason. Amoung the Palestianian groups, there are many, Fatah, Islamic Jihad, Hamas, etc. Within these groups, there is a range of opinions regarding this Invasion. Don't treat our brothers in Palestine as if they are one amorphous blob with no independent will. Just as you don't like it when our Sunni brothers paint all Shia with the same brush. Within the Palestinian community where I live, there is a wide range of opinions, and most do not support the stance of Hamas and are with the people of Yemen who are being Invaded. I think Hamas made a big mistake in taking this position and it will probably backfire on them. It was an irrational stance, and we hope they will change and come back to Haqq. On the other side, our Sunni brothers must understand that we are no threat to them. All this talk about Iranians and the Persian Empire and that the Iranians are behind all these groups pulling the strings, etc, etc. is nonsense that is manufactured by journalists and others who have a vested interest in the status quo. Sayyid Hassan Nasrallah made some very good points in his recent speech which may be of interest to our Sunni brothers. His main point was that The Houtis are not being controlled by Iran, and noone outside of Yemen is telling them what to do. It is not actually possible for Iran, with the limited resources they have, the distances that seperate them from Yemen, and the fact that Yemen is not very important to them strategically, to control much that is happening there. If you go to Yemen, I doubt you will see one Iranian anywhere, so how are they controlling it ? The simple fact which the Al Saud family cannot face is the fact that their legacy of oppression and interference in Yemen, their installing of puppets like Hadi, etc, has lead to the Yemeni people rising up against them and wanting to rid their country of their influence. That is the main event that is behind this, and it is obvious. If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck, and sounds like a duck, it is probably a duck and not a parrot. The Houtis turned to Iran for some assistance, simply because noone else would help them in their desire to get rid of Al Saud. If the Arab League would have not ignored their concerns and would have helped them to reach a political solution, like they were trying to do for years before this, then I'm pretty sure Iran would have pretty much zero influence in Yemen, as has historically been the case. I'm afraid now, with the vicious military campaign of Al Saud against the Yemeni people, they will turn more toward Iran and so the campaign will accomplish exactly the opposite of what the objective was. What I hope, and most people here hope is that Saud and the GCC will come to their sense, stop murdering the Yemani people, sit down with Houtis and work out a political solution that will restore the rights and freedoms to the Yemeni people and the fighting and killing will end. I'm pretty sure that is what Iran wants also

  6. I have to give it to Obama this time. He showed courage in the face of stiff opposition from Congress. Unfortunately, I think what he predicted will in fact happen. Congress, mostly Republicans and some Democrats, will introduce a bill to slap more sanctions on Iran, it will pass, he will veto but the veto will be overridden by 2/3 majority, just barely, then Iran will withdrawl from the negotiations. AIPAC is handing out big checks tonight up on the hill, that's for sure. I, and other brothers and sisters who live in the US, would love to see this deal go through and a truce between Iran and the US happen. At the same time, I am not naive and I know that there are extremely powerful forces that are 100% opposed to any deal with Iran happening. This is the most likely scenario at this point. At the same time, it is not certain. We'll have to wait and see. We Shia who live in the United States will enjoy the next few days of not having our phones tapped. Yeah :D

  14. Continued. In this hadith, Imam ar-Rida (as) is referring to a prophecy in the Hebrew Bible. It's unclear if this conversation actually took place, but its details could be based on authentic Imami knowledge. It is one of the most elementary arguments for Muhammad's prophethood (pbuh) in the Bible, and from this hadith, we see that it could have been used at least as early as the 2nd Islamic century. It is based on the following verse: He said, “The LORD came from Sinai and dawned from Seir upon us; he shone forth from Mount Paran; he came from the ten thousands of holy ones, with flaming fire at his right hand. (Deuteronomy 33:2) This verse refers to three theophanies; where God's light is made present and manifest. From the Sinai, this light (noor al-huda) came, representing the guidance of God in its infancy stage. Indeed, Moses (as) brought his Law from the Mount, but the Law did not represent the complete and universal message. The next ulil `azm prophet to come was Jesus (as), who brought forward a new, esoteric law. While the location of Seir is uncertain (again), the Dictionary of the Bible states that it was south of the Dead Sea in the Horite clan's plot of the Holy Land. Jesus was a Horite and Bethlehem was a Horite settlement. Here, the verse's imagery says that the Lord dawned upon the people - representing a greater manifestation of that light. Even though the surrounding verses are about Moses, this second theophany could not have been Moses, who did not enter Palestine - rather, this is a prophecy about the gradual rise of God's guidance. The third manifestation of this light is shining - more manifest than its first two forms - and it comes forth from Mount Paran. The Imam attributes this to none other than Muhammad (pbuh), who brought forward God's complete message. The Prophet is a manifestation of Allah's metaphysical noor, and he shone forth to the people, guiding them to all truth in the matters of theology, life, death, and resurrection. If Paran is in Mecca, then no one can claim this prophecy except for the Prophet, for there is no other contender for this shining light coming out of Paran. Furthermore, it states that the Lord will come out with ten thousand saints, the significance of which was discussed in post #37. Lastly, this flaming fire upon His right hand is also translated as "fiery law" (law here is the Hebrew "dath" דָּת). This is possibly a reference to that final Law, the Qur'an, which would be brought by the Servant (pbuh). The Law is represented as a shining fire, which is a further reference to Allah's guiding light. "They want to extinguish the light of Allah with their mouths, but Allah will perfect His light, although the disbelievers dislike it." (61:8)

  16. First of all, the Saddam and his sons you mention where put in power by the US military, politicians and intelligence services. The murder Saddam did on its own people, Iranian people and kurd where with American and EU weapons and with their thumbs up. Secondly, when their puppet Saddam was becoming useless for them, they removed him hoping for a better puppet and better controlled puppet to come along, but it didn't it backfired. Thirdly, I am from the middle east and I know Iraqis and i know Iranians, i know sunnis and i definatley know shias. You showing a youtube clip of momentary happiness that saddam was gone does not reflect what the majority of the people were actually thinking which was, now how the heck do we get rid of these Americans, they aren't here because they love us and want us to have a nice house and garden. Everyone knew this. The military bases and the embassy of of US made in Iraq looks like disney land, while the people are eating sc.raps from the junkyards. And what better way to earn money than to break something, then take 10x the price to rebuild it again. Halliburton sure didn't lose money on the war, neither did boeing and other fun loving companies. Finally, the US tends to always want the last word. It lost the "war" it hoped to have in Iraq which it hoped would end with a stable government in its command, so what it did instead was to support and unleash a rabid dog on the country after it left. I particularily enjoyed your last statement there. Person X, as a Saudi i love my country, it grieves me that it head chops people for sport, oppressed woman beyond recognition and basically sees everyone under the royal throne as dogs. May I ask you, what in particular about the US do you love now? US, in many ways had some very good things to love, but right now, what in particular do you love about it? - I mean, your freedom of speech is pretty much deteriorated, you can say what you want as long as it's within the interest of the media giants, otherwise you won't be handed a mic to speak through. - You have so many people in jail you don't have room for it anymore. - Black people, even now are subject to oppression. - You can vote, but you only have two choices, both being butt cheeks of the same backside. - You economy is pretty much in ruins where many people have to maintain 2 jobs to be able to pay their morgage(husband and wife) - People are losing their houses due to terrible and greedy banking - A good chunk of your tax money is going directly into killing people overseas instead of providing better education, health and lifestyle - The rich in US pretty much own everything while the rest have to work their bones dry. - Your healthcare is a joke compared to many European countries. The list is long. Don't get me wrong, i actually do agree that US was a very nice place to live in and did have some morality in its government, its economy was good and people had the chance to make a good living, have good healthcare. But as of right now, what exactly about the country(not its people, thats different) do you love?

  20. (bismillah) (salam) The moment an Arab says how Iran is pursuing a Persian Empire or has a fire-worshipping faith, I consider myself lucky to be witnessing at first hand a historical relic, and an intellectual fossil: an Arab living in the 21st century, belonging to the era of Nasser and the Shah - or worse, the era of Sa'd b. Abi Waqqas and Yazdgird III. If this is what some Palestinians think about the Islamic Republic, then isn't it upsetting that besides weapons and medicine, the Israelis seem to have also placed an embargo on education? Anyway, if Hamas wishes to sleep with Sisi tonight and Saudi tomorrow night, having slept with Mursi last night and Assad the night before, it will only sink lower by the day, and the paltry that comes from prostitution will only keep it alive enough to sleep around with more donors even more. In the end, they are responsible for their own conduct; they will either gain some shame or they won't. (wasalam)

  22. Because of your double standards.....it was to illustrate a point which you apparently didn't catch. Anyways, moving on. What the heck are you blabbering about? What is this fallible, infallible business you and the lot keep bringing up? What does that have to do with anything? I just pointed out anyone with some sense of combinatoric skills can see the proof, you not being able to see that the Ulamas of London and California and their TV channels are agents is your issue, not mine. You not seeing London Ulama have their TV channels + the wahabi channels that both keep pouring fule on fire, which btw costs millions to maintain are up and alive, while pressTV and alAlam gets banned, that is your blindness. You as an iraqi should go visit Iraq once in a while. I personally asked the guy that was representing Allahyaris office in Najaf how much his rent was. Do you know how much it costs to keep a TV channel running? On sattelite non the least. Now do you know how much it costs to keep 4-5 of them running? You want the head of the arguably the most intelligent and effective shia force in the world that tricks and lures the Israellis, to come and give you photocopies of the checks London Ulama gets to convince you? Or do you think maybe he trusts that you can see the proof yourself? I mentioned YH because you are beating the same drums he is beating, which again is the same drum ISIS is beating. Wahabis are saying palestinians are shia to enrage sunnis, London Ulama are saying palestinians are nasibi to enrage shias. While the poor Shafis(yes majority of palestine is shafi) in palestine have no clue what is going on while being raped by Israellis. London Ulama and wahabis are the two blades of the same scissor held by British and the Israellis, you not seeing that is your shortcoming. Then Asad and some of his allies come along and helped them, now same London Ulama try to turn shias against him too by saying he kills civilians(which i can see is working), which is exactly what the takfiris used as a excuse to start this whole mess. Now they are in Iraq knocking on your doorstep. In addition to that, let's just make a huge banner and write "Aisha is in hell" and send it with balloons up to the London skie, just to give the recruitment agency in ISIS a bit more leverage. In any case, your timeclock seems to have started right at the moment when takfiris and london ulama started this whole Assad is a tyrant business and you jumped the warwagon with them. This is what i meant about basirah and your lack of it. The british figured out a long time ago that you can't beat Islam(spesifically shia islam) with weapons and guns, but with their own religion and their own "ulama". It seems to be working in many areas.

He supposedly tried to mediate between A'isha and Imam 'Ali (as) during the battle of Jamal. He was also supposedly exiled by Mu'awiyah to Jerusalem. I want to know the opinion of the Ahlul Tashayyu' on this guy. Who was he really? If he was exiled, why? Saddam Al Taghoot named his massive weapons facility after him. I just got very curious. Why him? Who is he to them? Who is he to us?

  28. inshAllah khayr brother. Whatever happens in our lives, whether we perceive it as good or bad, if it is not in our control, we should always perceive it as a blessing. We should be afraid of thinking we know more that Allah swt like when we ask for a job, a spouse or something and we believe we are ready and we have everything it takes to undergo such task, it may turn to ur detriment when we get such a blessing and then we fail to ur duty and it results in more harm than good. Anyway just a thought, you should ask Allah swt for the best for u at every moment in ur life and trust 100% that there is only goodness in everything he provides for you as hard as it seems to believe it, it's the truth. Only HE knows truly who we are. May Allah swt give you patience and whatever is best for you.

  40. Every Mu'min will be happy with each victory achieved by Ansarullah. Lets pray for them. The quicker they make progress the better it is for the followers of Ahlulbayte (as).

  41. I think you probably need to be a lot more discerning. You will only find 'goofballs' if good character and intellect are not present in them. It is not possible for a person to move away from God and not be a 'goofball'. But maybe you are restricted by the people that are available? Even then it may be better to avoid anyone who seems unsuitable from the beginning.
