What better way to degrade a warrior/champion than to say he's short! What better way to degrade a man who bearly used to eat than to say he has a big stomach! What better way to degrade a man of knowledge than to say this knowledge gathered up in his belly! Open your eyes, these are fabrications, for verily this man is the self of Rasool Allah (pbuh).6 points -
Your Own Captured Photos
al-`Ajal Ya Imaam and 3 others reacted to Servidor for a topic
My photographs. What I see when first I step outside - [iI] The garrison - [iII] The standard fixed at the front - [iV] Outdoor cat - I call her Venatora from the Latin for "hunter". She hunts in our yard often. Always after birds; I have only ever seen her catch butterflies, a lizard and one mouse. She is hard to take a good picture of because, well, she is an outdoor cat. Her visits are not timed and she does not know how to sit still. Here she is eating some variety of stick. [V] A tree in a field alone against an all blue sky - [VI] Sheep - The flash attracted them from the photograph prior. They are dignified. Meek. They are the only animal that does not go feral. If a sheep is lost - it is just lost. [VII] Due North-East seen from a bridge - [VIII] A bush I like - [iX] Our little town is of course at the forefront of the modern medical profession - [X] A small horse by a river - [XI] Eagles - [XII] Kookaburrah - Their tribe live only on this island. [XIII] Goats - This picture epitomizes this creature to me. I could not take a decent picture of them because they insisted on eating, pay no mind to the stranger. The owner was there as well. "So. You're taking pictures. Pictures of goats." [XIV] Vicious anti-me beast - Her name is Lacy. I know the woman that owns her from Mass. [XV] Another outdoor cat, back in our yard now. He is exceeding timid and is persecuted by the other cats. [XVI] Our yard to the East. We own to the road. [XVII] From our neighbour's yard on the East - They have cattle that would drink from there. They have beautiful eyes and they low like they are looking for someone. [XVIII] Our yard to the South. Again, we own to the road. [XIX] The neighbour's yard to the South - We used to own all the way to the hills, but there was this second council at the Vatican. Now there there are dragons and barbarians [XX] Here marks the end of Catholic occupation of this town - [XXI] The way away; to the West - [XXII] The way back - [XXIII] Outdoor cat and I met again on my way back - [XXIV] The empress by the fire - All photographs taken on the same day. Eagles, horses, cats, sheep, goats - are all just ordinary. You cannot leave the house without seeing one, where I live.4 points -

I'm sorry is this hurts our feelings, but I don't think he likes you as much as you like him. If he did, he would be willing to go against his parents. And besides, this guy knew full well from the start that his parents would not accept you as his wife, so what was the need to get close to you and make you develop feelings for him, if he knew nothing would ever come of it? The best thing you can do is forget about him. Men like that aren't worth the hassle.3 points -

The hatred for Imam Ali (as) spread vastly, it seems they've even tried to degrade him in what he is well known for having (an ocean of knowledge), attempting to even portray a negative ideology about that. Lets look at what Imam Jafar al Saddiq (as) said, it was along these lines: "If Allah Suphanahu made visible the whole world through the human eyes, don't you think he can make the whole world fit into an egg?" Now apply this to what they say about Imam Ali (as); precisely "knowledge being stored in his stomach", if Allah Suphanahu can fit the whole world into an egg, then why wouldn't he be able to fit the gate of knowledge which was revealed to Ali (as) all inside Ali's brain rather than storing some in his stomach also? Secondly, to me it doesn't make sense that Ali (as) is black-skinned, because if this were true; wouldn't Rasool Allah (pbuh) have selected him to recite the first ever verbal adan instead of Bilal Al-Habashi? bearing in mind that the same message of: "islam forbids racism" would have still been portrayed?3 points -

He told his parents? What a wimp. I had a fainting problem too, had something to do with low iron. My husband didn't go cry to his mummy or his daddy. Your friend sounds like a complete pancake. No offense, and you, what have you got to say for yourself? You think her parents hid a fainting problem purposely? LOL, sorry, let me just grab my popcorn. This gets better and better. In fact, I will tell my family about this tragedy over dinner. You know, for a couple of laughs, maybe fits of hysteria too. No in all seriousness, are you serious? LOL Okay, seriously for real this time, I'll break it down to you sugar pie. Fainting isn't a deformity. It's very common amongst young ladies, and easily treated. Now, as a sister though... I am completely worried about his wife. Your friend might be the problem, I mean, she fainted after she saw him. LOL. Oh this is good buddy, I'll give you that. I feel really sorry for the wife, really sorry that she married such a pancake. Give her my regards. Cheers LOL3 points

I imagine if someone has very long thick hair it will be difficult to not have some sort of hump, but most of these girls only have shoulder length hair (if that). They put a giant flower clip (gamboo3a) and sometimes even 2 or 3 clips lined up under their scarf to make that hump.2 points

(bismillah) (salam) There is no easy way to get to Heaven. Just live your life, day by day, and as Imam Ali said, paraphrasing, Your today should be better than your yesterday. Do more good deeds and sin less. Be happy. Help other people. When your mother is tired, you can bring her a glass of iced tea. Do your best at everything you do. Be satisfied with your life, no matter how difficult or lonely or poor, etc. Pray on time. When you make du'aa, talk to Allah and cry when you ask for His help. When something good happens, talk to Allah and cry when you give Him thanks. Be sincere. If you have sins, the time spent in barzakh can be difficult and unpleasant, but once barzakh is over, the Ahlul Bayt AS can intercede for you. Allah loves them, so we do, too. Say Salawat.2 points

Without a doubt! There are times in life when you need to make judgements about people (e.g. when choosing people to help in an Islamic organisation or when you are asked to give your opinion on someone for marriage), it's at times like this when you need be a good judge of character. So if you ever encounter one of these odd individuas, you will know. There was this one man who used to come across as being generally well mannered, religious and open minded when he first joined the forum and then I saw his FB profile and I thought -> :donno: then he got banned from here, multiple times. These types of people make me worried about some of the 'religious' shia. If I met them in real life and was able to map their personal characteristics to how they behave online, I would feel more reassured about them not hiding their real characteristics in person. The other reason I want me meet them is out of sheer curiosity. Don't you want to meet them? One of the SC mods once visited me in London and he asked me if I could get him to meet with one of the more 'eccentric' members because he wanted to know what sort of person makes those posts.2 points -

Brothers, I know you are confused by this thread and the maker, and I will explain. this guy "Truth" is NOT a Muslim. not Sunni not Shia not Sufi. he is a nation of Islam racist. I have seen him on other Islamic forums trying to claim Muhammad(PBUH) and even Abu Bakr were black. he is not one of us, and he has hate and racism in his heart just like Farrakhan. but because he made this thread, I will address it. Sir, besides the fact that there is no credible hadith with our Imams description, and besides the fact that he was said to look like Abbas who was a tall handsome wheat colored man, and that every hadith with "pot bellied" or "fat" in it is automatically a joke. besides the fact that there was much racism in the Bakri camp at that time, so much so that some of the later Imams, who although were not black, had much darker skin because they had mothers or grand mothers that were Africans, they were insulted and ridiculed by the Bakris at the time for this. which seems strange if they were all black? were they insulting other blacks for being darker skinned? does that make sense to you? I wish you to tell us, where did all the black Arabs go? you said "the original Arabs" where did they go then? why is it that the most remote, Nomadic bedouin have no connection to Sub Saharan Africa? but the Bedouin closer to the Red sea, have African blood? why are the Al Sauds not black? we know their lineage goes back to the time of the prophet(PBUH) so why is Abdullah so light skinned? why did we learn that Bilal was black skinned, but not anyone else? if Muhammad(PBUH) and all the other Arabs were black, why did they notice Bilal's blackness? shouldn't they have just considered him another Arab? Why is there zero DNA evidence to support what you say? they have found Arab tombs going back thousands of years, before any invaders came to Arabian penisula, and they show the same DNA as modern Gulf Arabs. is this all some grand conspiracy? and a grand trick? and finally. I couldn't care less what color Ali was, I have had black Muslim friends, brown Muslim friends, asian Muslim friends, every color and creed in the rainbow, but the fact is he was wheat, just like other Arabs of that time. so please, change your religion status to "Nation of Islam" or "NOI" and stop polluting our faith with more racism than already exists. thank you.2 points -

----------------------------------------- He had many other titles, titles have nothing to do with hadiths : يكنى بأبي الحسن الأول ، وهي أشهر كناه ، كما يكنى بأبي الحسن الماضي ، وأبي إبراهيم ، وأبي علي ، وأبي إسماعيل . وأما القابه : فله ألقاب كثيرة منها الكاظم وهو أشهرها ، لما ظهر منه (ع) من كظم الغيظ والحلم والصبر ، ومنها العبدالصالح ، والنفس الزكية ، وزين المجتهدين ، وباب الحوائج ،. و الوفي ، والصابر ، والأمين ، والزاهر ، والطيب ، والصالح ، والسيد ، والمأمون . you will find teh answer in history books , not in hadith books and you will see if you look unless your ego prevented you2 points -

Unfortunately I have to say that when I first read this OP post I was vaguely disturbed because I sensed a hidden motive . Unfortunately this motive appears to have revealed. It is not deniable and not necessarily a bad thing that Shias 'hero worship' the Imams. Human fallacy which is not limited to Shias portray our heroes as being taller, stronger, better looking then the average. Human fallacy has also portrayed our heroes to be whiter then average. The OP hidden motive has been to expose these human fallacies (not Shia fallacies) and thus seek to offend Shias. After portraying himself as an objective observer. He then seeks to demonstrate that he loves the Ahlul Bait no matter what they look like. Unfortunately his ruse has worked with some people. If this had been a purely academic discussion it wouldnt have been a problem. However his single minded fixation about this narration is what exposes his nasibi nature. In seeking to bait the shias he has cast Hz Ali (as) in a dubious light and yet tried to claim he is a balanced observer2 points -

I'm not being harsh. Brothers can start a thread about muta anytime they want and we already have plenty of muta threads everywhere. If they can't respect the wishes of sisters to disscuss certain topic peacefully among themselves then I don't really see why we should even express ourselves. I just want to let you know that some of the sisters are already using private messaging services to disscuss among themselves without interference from the nosy brothers. Here's the list of some sisters on SC, - Ruqaya Amal, ImAli, UmmAhmad, Maryam, Zahratul Islam, Iman, Ruqaya (the admin), Gypsy, yourself and a few other sisters. if you need to disscuss among the female, maybe it's best to do it privately via the pm. As for why the speakers don't mention about the Prophet doing muta. Prophet was marrried to nine or ten women in his lifetime. We know quite a bit about all his wives. I am not sure there's much mysteries here.2 points

Alzaynebia313 and one other reacted to awaiting_for_the.12th for a topic
As far as i have read, Imam Ali (as) physical body is never recorded. For example: Its well known Hazrat Abbas (as) looked ALOT like Imam Ali (as) to the point when in Siffin people couldnt tell if Imam Ali (as) is fighting or someone else. Also known fact is Hazrat Abbas was VERY tall, when he used to sit on horse his feet used to touch the ground ( we are talking about over 7 feet here now). So there goes the hypothesis of medium height. Hazrat Abbas was also called the Moon of Bani Hashim, again if that is used as reference then Imam Ali (as) probably was really handsome too.2 points -

All you have are sunni references 3. "large stomach" / "pot-belly" are obvious insults - more than likely just fake hadith2 points -
