  1. Salaam Plenty of Lanat upon the enemies of Al bait a.s Today m so happy , and want to share with u all. because i got my answer to many questions which always in my mind . The questions are about the things on which human has no control for example i am girl , i am Pakistani etc like which is not in ur hand such events accidents which change ur life I always had many complains against them i.e why this happen to me ? why i not belong to syed family ? why am not from iraq etc and i hold the questions in my mind always and want the answers i asked many ppl but cant get the rite answer today after fajar prayer , i saw my face and thanks to Allah that how beautiful He made me , i have everything i am not handicap etc ,then i was thinking that i should also pray 2 rhakat shukrana namaz for what Allah give me i must be thankful to Allah after namaz i thought that in every condition we must be thankful to Allah all the time, then i thought about the handicaps ppl that Allah made compulsion to everyone to thanks Him and do ibadad of him ...............then the ayat came to my mind that its means the ppl i.e like handicaps are more stronger than us they can bear that burden . hmmm so the conclusion is that the things which are not in control of human are from Allah and Allah dont put burden more than the person cant bear it ,the stronger gets more :) , so i m stronger than the ppl i wish to be. And now i have no question related to this ,i am so happy that i am stronger than many ppl and thanks to Allah that i can realize it and Thanks Him :) Wasalaam Ali a.s Waris

Extend of Authority of Imam Hasan (as) and Imam Husain (as) Ahmad ibn Muhammad and Muhammad ibn Yahya have narrated from Muhammad ibn al-Hassan from Ya‘qub ibn Yazid from ibn abu ‘Umayr from his people from abu ‘Abd Allah (as) who has said the following. 6. I am already married so this poll is not very applicable to me. I think the main disadvantages for sisters living in the western countries (in regards to getting married) are - Most of the marriageable-age Muslim men tend to either marry some girls from back home or they have one of those “inter-racial” marriage. - And on top of this, Muslim girls CANNOT get to know boys of other race/religion easily because of the stigma associated with keeping the family honor/reputation. - And even a bigger problem facing sisters living in the west is that they are perceived as an immigration ticket. They have to be extra-caution when looking for relationship because some men are not genuine looking for wife but someone to provide them an immigration visa.

  9. No offense taken and your consideration is appreciated. It does seem like you have a lot of misinformation/misguided views about Shiaism. The character of Ali (as) and the other infallibles is a reflection of the Prophet (Saww) seerah. I am sure you have heard of the saying "I am the city of knowledge and Ali (as) is the gate" This should put the position of Ali (as) into perspective. Have you ever looked into the lifestyle of the kwarijites? They focused on Salah and Quran quite a bit as well but are looked as a deviant offshoot group. Since these are subjective arguments there is not much we can do to answer them. Since i was born in a muslim country i will try to address them. Why is it that shia masjids are almost always closed and for salah only a few people pray salah? Shia Masjids are open for all prayers. Iraq and Iran (shia dominated countries) have Harams which are open for extremely long hours if not the entire day. When in muharam for matam and juloos you will see shias in full force? You will see us in full force on 21st Ramadhan,Al Quds day and rallys in Mecca as well. Sorry i cant say the same for Ahlesunnah at all. why is it that many shia speakers (and shia laymen) are clean shaven or have a stubbly beard when this is an important sunnah. Maybe they cant grow a beard e.g: Rafsanjani or maybe they are working professionals. A groomed beards looks much better then an unkempt garbage patch being sported by majority of MSA youngsters why is it at work that not a single shia whould pray any of their salah even though there was a prayer room provided too subjective. not fast in ramdhan but were always keen to show their love for the ahlelbayt and keen to discuss how bad the sahabah were? I dont know where you get this idea from. Fureo deen puts fasting as the second pillar after salah. why is it that many shias I have come across could not read the quran or struggeled to read it but know nohas and other nasheeds about the ahlelbayt? and so on........... This is a numbers game. Since Ahlesunnah are in a majority it is much easier for us Shias to pick your fault and display it. For e.g: i can say 2/5 of my sunni friends can sing an entire song verbatim yet cant recite a single hadith without mistake. See how easy these kind of comparisons are? I am not seeing any difference in your thought then that of an average westerner. They look at actions of Osama b Ladin, Mullah Omar, Zarqawi and assume this is Islam whereas these radicals are in minority of Islam. To understand a religion you have to approach it from their teaching not thru the actions of a follower.

  10. Be honest to both of them. That's what I did and ended up with the best man. I can't guarantee the same result for you. :) True story. Two guys came and asked for an introduction (to me). I liked the first guy and felt that he would be a good husband material. He had almost everything I was looking for. Then the second guy (my husband) enter in the picture. I was completely honest with him. Told him about the first guy.

AS-Saffar-Muhammed Ibn Isa-Yunos Ibn Abdurrahman -Abdul Samad Ibn Basheer-Jaber Ibn Yazeed -Imam Baqir : Behind this sun there is forty suns between each sun is a time of forty years. Over there are many people who don't know whether Allah created Adam or not. And behind this moon of your there are forty moons between each moon is the time of fourty years and over there are many people who don't know whether Allah created Adam or not. They have been inspired just like how the bees have been inspired to curse the first and second continually all the time. And Allah has supervised angles for them that when whenever they dont curse them both l.a they will be punished. Reference: Mukhtasar Basa'er page 12 and Basa'er Darajat volume 2 page 432 hadith # 9 Muhammed Ibn Isa Ibn Ubayd. Muhammed Ibn Isa there should be no doubt over his relaibilty as shias scholars have agreed over his relaibility but since we have many ignorants who are even willing to attack the relaibilty of Imam and accuse Imam of fabricating hadith, we felt the need to refute the arguments of these people. Najashi (one of the best scholar of rijal) said: He is Trustworthy, venerable, an exellent compiler. Al-Khoe say in his rijal that Ibn Shadan companion of Imam Jawad : Use to love, praise, glorify Muhammed and was incline to him and use to say about Muhammed there is no one throught the centries as comparable to Muhammed. Ibn Nuh said: He is trustworthy and Adel. Al-Kashi regarded him among the trusworthies, Adils and the people of knowledge. Sayed Al-Khoei said: The greatness and the trustworthiness of Muhammed is of the agreed upon between the shias. Since, Ibn Al-Waleed said he is relaible but his narration from Yonus are unrelaible and Tusi on this basis regarded him weak, by wrongly thinking that Ibn Al-Waleed disragarded all his narrations. Al-Khoei said: The weaking of Tusi was due to him wrongly thinking that Ibn Al-Waleed disregarded all the narration of Muhammed, but Al-waleed did not, he only disregarded his narration from Yunos, and this is something that is based on the Ijtihaad and the opinion of Ibn Al-Waleed. And this view is not evident according to us. Meaning there is no evidence for disregarding the narrations of Muhammed from Yonus, because that is something Ibn Al-Waleed did based on his own opinion. Najashi refuted this saying: Our shia companions denied this (disregarding the narrations of Muhammed from Yunos) and said who is comparable to Muhammed Ibn Isa? Ibn Dawood refuted this saying: And according to me the stronger is accepting his narrations. Al-Khoei also refuted whoever accused him of ghuluu by saying that Tusi quoted this from someone who is unknown (which makes it unrelaible) and it contradicts the truth due to the saying of Ibn Nuh that Muhammed was Adel (just) and trusworthy. Yunos Ibn Abdurrahman : Enough what the Imam said about him in the hadith authenticated by Al-Khoei saying Yunos in his time is like Salman in his time. Tusi said: he is trutworthy. Najashi said: A Noble among our companions and has a great status. Abdul Sammad Ibn Bushair Najashi said: He is thiqah (trustworthy), thiqah .. 2 times. Jabber Ibn Yazeed Al-Jufi : Another, great companion. Imam Sadiq said in saheh hadith authenticated by Al-Khoei that Jaber was truthfull when he use to narrate from us and May Allah have mercy on jaber.. Al-Qummi and Sheikh Al-Mufeed testified for his trustworthiness, Sheikh Al-Mufeed. As for those who love to quote from Ibn Ghada'eri, Ibn Ghada'eri said he is thiqah. Al-Khoei said: He is among the thiqah and the Adil Al-Khoei also refuted what najashi said about Jaber that he use to mix by saying what Imam in the saheh narration of Ziyad that Jaber was truthfull when he use to narrate from us, is not overrided by what najashi said that he use to mix, because there is peoms for Al-Mufeed that show Al-Mufeed himself use to mix. ......And then he said even if we were to accept that jaber has issues but it does not affect his Adalah and trustworthiness. So Isnaad is saheh.

  16. (salam) We believe that Allah is One, inseparable, and indivisible. He is completely monolithic and His qualities and attributes cannot be separated from His being. He is all-knowing, all-powerful, omnipotent, omniscient, and omnipresent. We tend to stick to the descriptions that Allah gave Himself in the Qur'an rather than resorting to complex philosophical or hypothetical appellations. Here is a hadith from our 8th Imam Musa al-Kadhim (as). O Abu Ahmad, regarding tawhid do not go past what Allah – exalted be His mention – mentions of it in His book lest you be destroyed. And know that Allah is unique, one, besought of all (samad), He does not beget lest He be inherited from, He is not begotten lest He be associated with, He did not take a (fem.) companion or a son or a partner, He is the living who does not die, the capable who is not incapable, the victorious is not overcome, the forbearing who is not hurried, the everlasting who is not annihilated, the abiding who does not perish, the permanent who does not vanish away, the needless who does not become impoverished, the mighty who is not humbled, the all-knowing who is not ignorant, the just who does not oppress, and the generous who is not stingy. Intellects cannot esteem Him, imaginations do not befall Him, regions do not encompass Him. No place contains Him, vision does not perceive Him while He perceives (all) vision. He is the subtle, the aware. There is none like unto Him, and He is the all-hearing, the all-seeing. “There is no secret conference of three but He is their fourth, nor of five but He is their sixth, nor of less than that or more but He is with them wheresoever they may be”. He is the first which there is nothing prior to Him, and the last which there is nothing after Him. He is the eternal and whatever is apart from Him is created, originated. Exalted (be He) from the attributes of the created beings with a great exaltation. (Kitab at-Tawhid of Shaykh Saduq) http://www.tashayyu....awhid/chapter-2 We believe that imaginations cannot perceive Allah, and any discussion about Him, His place, etc. must be limited to what is in the Qur'an. Any discussion that goes beyond this must be abandoned, and in general we believe that this distance from imagining Him brings us closer to Him. We do not believe He literally has hands, teeth, shins, feet, or is limited to any kind of body. Imam Ja`far as-Sadiq (as) said: Oh Muhammad, verily mankind do not cease from speech (al-mantiq, can also mean logic) (even) until they talk about Allah. So when you hear that, then say: There is no god but Allah the One that there is nothing like unto Him. We believe that the future is partly predestined and partly freewill. Nothing happens without the permission of Allah, but there are some things that Allah has specifically decreed to occur, and there are other things that He has left to the creation. It is related from Zurarah that he said, “I said to as-Sadiq (as) ‘May I be your ransom. What do you say about al-qada and al-qadr?’ He (as) said ‘I say: Verily when Allah, Glorious and Exalted, shall gather the servants on the Day of the Rising, He shall ask them concerning what He had entrusted to them, and He shall not ask concerning that which He had destined for them. (qada `alayhim)’” Discussion about al-qadr is forbidden. As Amir al-Mu'mineen `Ali ibn Abi Talib (as) said to those who asked him about al-qadr, “A deep sea, do not enter it”. Then he was asked a second time about al-qadr. So he (as) said, "A dark pathway, do not journey on it". Then he was asked a third time about al-qadr. So he (as) said, “A secret of Allah, do not bother with it”. Most of our ahadith go back to the Imams of Ahl al-Bayt (as). They are deemed as authorities whose words can be taken, because they are the Rasikhuna fil `Ilm, the Ulil Amr, the Siddiqeen and Sadiqeen, the Ahl adh-Dhikr, and the representatives (khulafa') of the Messenger (pbuh). Allah protected the religion through them, and they are the second of the two weighty things (thaqalayn) - they will not separate from the Qur'an until it reaches the Pond in Paradise. The Imams (as) in turn also quote the Prophet (pbuh) much of the time, who is the recipient of the wahi - the Qur'an and Sunna.

  18. That was a good answer, and there have been several good answers. Let me just summarize the opinions and open up the discussion. 1. The problem. Muslims blindly adopting values of the kufar, then children blindly following their parents. Let me explain further. A) Late marriage (meaning late 20's early thirties or later) is a value of the kufar, not a value of Islam. Like Sheik Hamza said ('Early Marriage - More Encouragement thread) the number of hadith encouraging early marriage are too many to count. I would add the hadith encouraging late marriage are non existent. So authentic hadith are a criteria for us to determine what is and isn't Islam. As I explained before early marriage is marriage that happens as soon as possible after balagh and rushd stages. The muslim community, especially in the West, adopted late marriage as the standard to try to 'fit in' with the society in a negative way. Since many or most immigrants to the West came here after they were already married, it wasn't a major issue for them and so they accepted this value of the kufar without too much thought. Since they couldn't find an ayat in the Quran that specifically condemns it, like the statements about pork or alcohol, they assumed it was o.k. Whereas if they would take a little bit of time to educate themselves about the authentic hadith on the subject, they would find that it is definitely not 'ok' and not an Islamic value (i.e. late marriage). 2. The children blindly followed their parents. The Quran never says to blindly follow parents. It says to be kind to them and not to curse them or mistreat them, but it doesn't say to blindly obey them. In fact it say 'if they ask you to join partners with Allah(s.w.a), don't obey them'. In other words, if they ask you to do something, think 'Is this part of Islam or not? '. If you come to the conclusion that what they are telling you is other than what our Prophet(s.a.w.s) and Imams(a.s), you cannot obey them. If you obey them in this case, you are joining partners with Allah(s.w.a), as they are. Just because they don't ask you to worship an idol or change religions does not mean that they will not ask you to join a partner with Allah(s.w.a). Disobedience to the clear advice of the Prophet and Imams is joining a partner with Allah(s.w.a) because you are ascribing power to something other than Allah(s.w.a) and you are saying (with your actions) that this thing has power in this area and (astaghfirAllah) Allah(s.w.a) doesn't. This is the reality of disobedience. 2. The solution. The solution lies with leadership, children and the parents. First Leadership. In the Muslim community, the ulema are our leaders. The majority of the community listens to what they say and they have a high degree of credibility across family and cultural lines. Allah(s.w.a) will be more strict in examining their actions since their words and actions have a much greater effect on the community compared to an average muslim. So they need to encourage early marriage and repeat it often and go beyond this by saying openly that those parents who disregard the authentic ahadith from Rasoulallah(p.b.u.h) like the one that says 'If a man comes to you and you are satisfied with his aklaq and his deen, then marry him to yourself...'. If they place barriers in front of their children when they want to marry and give flimsy excuses to men who have good deen and aklaq and ask for their daughters saying 'She want to finish her education.', etc. then the ulema should clearly state , from the minbar, and often that 'These people who do this are acting against the advice of Rasoulallah, their actions are other than what Islam asks us to do...'. Yes, they should denounce those actions, even if the one who does this is a major donor to the masjid. Second, the children should not blindly accept their parents suggestions and advice if they know this advice is other that what our Prophet and Imams(a.s) advise us. These young adults will be responsible for their actions before Allah(s.w.a) and they should fear a day when every soul will be accounted for its deeds. No excuse like 'My parents told me' will be accepted by Allah(s.w.a) because Allah(s.w.a) gave us aql and the ability to distinguish between right and wrong, true and false, good and bad advice, Islam and kufr. Third, the parents should not place unecessary roadblocks in the way of their children. They should not blindly follow their own desires or their fancy or specualtion and should not consider their children as their personal property or their slaves but as other human beings equal to them that they have the responsibility to guide to the strait way. Once their children become balagh and rushd, they should be advisors to their children and trust them to make the right decision after doing everything they can to raise them properly according to the teachings of Al Islam. I think once that happened then other things such as marriage bureaus, community organizations, etc will start to be effective. Salam. Some additional points. - For the sister. You should not just accept their attitude toward your situation. You should get a community member whom you trust to intervene on your behalf (an alim or someone who is well respected in the community). Don't leave the situation as it is. - For the brother. I will start another thread.

  20. 1) What do you think is the MAIN barrier to young muslims / muslimas in the US, UK, Canada, Australia getting married. Name one only . For example expectations of parents, financial problems, corruption of morals, etc. expectations of parents 2) Based on your answer in #1, how do you think we could work together as a community, using all the tools we have available including centers, our ulema, and any other resources we have as a community in order to overcome this main barrier. Please only intelligent, well thought out answers. CLUE, the proper solution would involve a change in behavior of all involved in the process (men, women, parents, ulema, and community leaders). If you want to say something very general (like they should just 'cast down their glance', please don't post that because we already know that. lol). I will give out extra credit and maybe even gold star stickers for really good answers. we should have less 'cultural' sheikh in our mosques. Those who go on the minbar have to be open minded and they have to know that arranged marriage is not for this generation in the west . Stuff have changed ,we go to college, we go to university , we meet brothers ,we're enough involved in the community to chose our own spouse based on our criterias . Most of the time, the first criteria that comes to parent's mind is culture ! what's his background ? It's as if Allah will judge us on our culture rather than our religion . The sheikh that go on the minbar must enlighten this issue.. yes some of the parents claim that they only look at faith and nothing else , they just claim that.. they know it's good to look at faith but they don't act upon it ..for example whenever a spouse comes to a girl's house to ask for her hand , (after they aknowledged that he's originally from iraq) , they ask about the salary . they don't ask about the deen , his goals in life..they ask about the money and if he's willing to give a big amount of Mahr or not . Also, just to get back to the arranged marriage issue : most of the women who chose a spouse for their husband come to the mosque and they look at the tallest and most prettiest girl . You see here, they look at the physical issue rather than the spiritual..they don't look at who is reading quran or who is holding a tasbeeh... no,they look at the prettiest for their son's ..and THIS is what makes our sisters wear more make-up .. become a bit more girlish . this was only my opinion.. people who are not part of my community may disagree..but this is how it works here..and it's ugly From Canada..

    5 Things I Hate

What did Britishers ever do to you? Also by writing white people wouldn't that also include Britishers? Or do you hate anyone with a British nationality?

  29. I think that people who are getting married for the first time should stop shunning proposals form divorcees. There are some really amazing divorcees and divorce doesn't always mean bad character. I have seen young women be like, "Oh, everything is good about him except he's divorced". Why be so narrow minded and limit yourself like this?

    Response To Sayid Ammar

No, but it says that it is Wajib to follow (Qalid) an individual who has the qualities listed in the Hadith. You and me are capable of refraining from sin, if we persevere. Does that make us ma3soom? No. In the same way, the Walliyul Faqih refrains from sinning. He is monitered by a group of scholars called the Khobragan. If Syed Khamenei commits a single sin - perhaps doesn't lower his gaze - then he is stripped of his title by the Khobragan, and another Walliyul Faqih is elected.

  31. Salams Im quite baffled as to how Ugly Jinn is equating being fallible to being a sinner? Notice that the definition doesn't say 'Some one who sins', rather is capable of doing so. Thats like my saying Ugly Jinn is capable of killing a man (has the physical power to do so), hence he is a killer. nah this reasoning doesn't fit well with me.

  35. South-Lebanon I am with you 100% in that the logo spells out Zion. hadol 3akareet ili a3malowa. Leh there is dot over the one in 2012. It doesn't make sense. and if they wanted to say '12 the apostrophe should've been before the one. Why is it after the one? IT shows that they intended for it to be the letter "i". They meant it on purpose to spell Zion. This proves South Lebanon is correct and those who disagree with him are handicapped.

  38. Firstly I don't care for the Olympics and never have. I only care for the football World Cup and the European Football Championship when it comes to international sporting events and to a lesser extent the Cricket World Cup. As for the latest conspiracy of the word "Zion" being obtained from dissecting the logo of the figure 2012, I think is down right gay, and just shows how some of us have too much times on our hand to discover this and point it out. Honestly, what relevence is there if the term Zion was intentional? Zion is a synonynous with Jerusalem, and specifically a mountain near it. It's not like it says Zionism which is the ideology used for the establishment of Israel. Muslims as usual looking too deep into petty things. Look at all the nonsense we have been "discovering" over the years This design for Burger King's icecream had to be s[Edited Out]ped because Muslims decided that it looks too much like the Arabic for Allah if you turn it sideways (it's a bloody scoop of icecream). PEPSI - Pay Every Pence to Save Israel (riiiiiiight, because by doing so, Pepsi wouldn't be able to cover their operational and utility costs, I mean it's one thing to break-even, and just donate profits.. but every penny?, Really?) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HeQe-LDeLpw Oh and let's not forget this one while we are at it Bloody Muslims I swear, spend more time on bettering our communities, societies and countries, and the rest of humanity. Stop looking into things that are not there and making mountains of molehills ffs.

  43. (salam) (bismillah) Allah has sent down the most beautiful statement: a consistent Book wherein is repetition. The skins shiver therefrom of those who fear their Lord; then their skins and their hearts relax at the remembrance of Allah . That is the guidance of Allah by which He guides whom He wills. And one whom Allah leaves astray - for him there is no guide. 39:23 (salam)

  45. (bismillah) (salam) Supreme Leader Meets with Teachers May 02, 2012 Ayatollah Khamenei the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution met this morning with thousands of teachers from across the country. Speaking at the meeting, His Eminence said that the most important characteristic of teachers is that they can turn their students into outstanding scholars and righteous, knowledgeable and capable individuals. Ayatollah Khamenei called on the people, the educational system and teachers to appreciate the role and position of teachers and reiterated: "Correct, wise and caring actions of teachers can definitely lay a firm foundation in society in order to solve many of the cultural, ethical and behavioral problems." His Eminence referred to the spread of public education to the remotest parts of the country and added: "In recent years praiseworthy measures have been adopted in the educational system and the most important measure among them was preparing the document for transforming the educational system, and the main mission is to implement the document." The Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution stressed: "The requirement for implementing the document for transforming the educational system is accurate planning, and preparing and following a roadmap until we achieve the specified goals." Ayatollah Khamenei referred to the important role of the educational system in training the youth and promoting moral virtues in society, further stating: "The educational system should create role models for our youth and teenagers, and the best role models are our martyred youth and teenagers." The Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution reiterated: "Besides the educational system, the organizations in charge of public relations, the IRIB, governmental organizations and the clergy have an important role to play in presenting role models in society." Elsewhere in his statements, Ayatollah Khamenei referred to the second round of the 9th parliamentary elections and added: "The people of Iran have always done the right thing at the right time in a vigilant way. An outstanding example is the brilliant and large turnout of the people in the first round of the parliamentary elections in Esfand and this awareness of the conditions will have its effect." His Eminence said that the parliamentary election is not over yet and stressed: "The Iranian people will take a long stride on the 15th of Ordibehesht and once again they will show the world their awareness of the conditions by going to the ballot boxes and completing the 9th Majlis." The Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution stressed that in order to succeed in current conditions, the people of nations should be vigilantly present on the scene and bring their potentialities into the arena. He added: "By Allah's favor, the Iranian nation is present on the scene and it is insightful and aware of the conditions. The Iranian nation knows its enemy well and will not be deceived by his hypocritical pretense of friendship." Ayatollah Khamenei said that election is a manifestation of being present on the scene and reiterated: "With the conflict going on among the materialistic powers, the Iranian nation should always be present on the scene and maintain its vigilance in order to be able to defend its rights and the rights of its future generations." At the end of his statements, Ayatollah Khamenei said that there are bright prospects for the Iranian nation and added: "By Allah's grace, the future of Islamic Iran will definitely be better than its current conditions." 46. Here's a better question to the OP. Why does U.S. use nuclear atoms to create bombs and drop it on people's heads while Iran uses them for medicine, cancer, and other peaceful purposes? This I'd like to know.

  47. One thing I like about Salafis is their blind faith in their leaders. Their leaders are wrong, hateful, issue stupid fatwas, but still the whole dumb nation follow them like God. One more thing I like about them is establishing Salat ul Juma more diligently. We Shias, although our ulema are most knowledgeable, are most logical, are most compassionate, our ulema are most non-sectarian and want to create unity and brotherhood with them, but still the Shia masses get themselves lost in half witted charlatans zakirs and other clowns and not follow our marajae like they ought to be followed. Even Ay. Seestani lamented about this fact.. Salat ul Juma part is getting better among Shias though, and so is interest in Quran. ..... I disagree what someone wrote above about Sunnis pray more salat than Shias... It may be true for Paki/Indian Shias but most of them are pseudo Shias anyway... I have seen Arabs, Persians, Americans, Western Shias and such and always found them more diligent than average Sunni about salat and everything else Islamic.
