Umar's Doubt
diracdeltafunc and 3 others reacted to JimJam for a topic
After the Sulah Hudaibiyah Umar went to the Prophet (pbuh) and said We also know that many other Sahaba were rude to the prophet after the treaty. To say nothing of calling the prophet delirious when he asked for pen and paper & saying the Quran is enough. Well the Quran says of those who question the judgment of the prophet (pbuh) [24:47] They say, "We believe in Allah and in the messenger, and we obey": but even after that, some of them turn away: they are not (really) Believers. [24:48] When they are summoned to Allah and His messenger, in order that He may judge between them, behold some of them decline (to come). [24:49] But if the right is on their side, they come to him with all submission. [24:50] Is it that there is a disease in their hearts? or do they doubt, or are they in fear, that Allah and His Messenger will deal unjustly with them? Nay, it is they themselves who do wrong. [24:51] The answer of the Believers, when summoned to Allah and His Messenger, in order that He may judge between them, is no other than this: they say, "We hear and we obey": it is such as these that will attain felicity.4 points -

-I feel closer to Allah, Rasulallah and the Imams. -Each year I learn new lessons from the tragedy of Karbala -I feel obliged to attend the Majalis regardless of how busy I am. This in turn makes me closer to Allah. -It's the time of the year when millions of Shias shout 'Ya Hussain' from the bottom of their heart. - There is also a sense of Shia unity. -I love to attend the Ashura procession.4 points -

Discrimination Against Palestinians In Lebanon
Gepetto_Zapata and one other reacted to 5a49 for a topic
1st. Not ALL Christians killed Muslims, they were groups like Lebanese Forces, The Phalangists and other fanatical groups like them 2nd. Yes it was a Civil War, which Palestinians enjoyed to light up more for their own benefits. 3rd. Palestinians had to do with kidnapping Imam Moussa alSadr. 4th. We welcomed Palestinians with arms wide open, they thanked us by trying to occupy Jabal 'Amel. 5th. Palestinians fought and conspired on the Shiite sect, after the Shiite welcomed them, and where the only people who defended their cause. 6th. This is a thread about Palestinians when you make a thread about Fanatical Christian groups its something else.2 points -

He has a big heart and a great love for the Ahlulbayt(as) which is infectious. The way he has coped with struggles in his life also made an impression on me. Why I Am Against Pakistan Tehreek-e-insaf?
Marbles reacted to Aabiss_Shakari for a topic
I do not support Imran Khan due to the following reasons. If his leaders satisfactory reply me i shall join that party. 1. Imran Khan is against Drone attacks and says that it is against over freedom but the fact is that only terrorists are killed in these attacks. Yes, there are civil casualties but they are because the terrorists have married here and have organized their families here and do not come out to fight against America and America is their founder also. 2. Imran Khan says that suicide attacks are retaliation of killings of innocent people in drone attacks. It amounts to justification of suicide attacks on innocent civilians. If it is reaction of drone attacks then they should target America not the common people of Paksitan but history shows that they target innocent civilians and do not target or can not target Americans but Imran Khan intentionally ignores the innocent killings of civilians in suicide attacks. 3. Imran Khan says that war against terror is not our war and it started after 9/11. I belong to Shia community and we are the victims of terrorism for more than twenty five years, the time much before 9/11 and the terrorists must be dealt with iran fist and Imran's soft policy can not work for them and it is not their cure. 4. If all the terrorism in the country is by American black water and CIA then why always terrorists of local groups like Lashkar e Jhangvi, Sipah e Sahaba, Taliban etc are arrested and no American is arrested. Iman has no policy against terrorism rather Imran Khan offered government to settle the dispute with Haqani network, this implies that Imran is acting like terrorist's bargaining agent. 5. Imran Khan says that Drone attacks are interference in our integrity and freedom but what about those arab, chechen, uzbik terrorists who are interfering in our matters and using Pakistan as their launching pad to do terrorist activities against other countries and even against Pakistan itself? What these terrorists are doing in our country and are targeting our civilians and brutally murdering them? Does Imran Khan has any answer?1 point -

Ali Hussain Sibat Awaiting Execution

On the show, he made predictions and gave advice to the audience. In May 2008, Sibat was arrested on charges of "sorcery" in Saudi Arabia, where he traveled to perform the Umrah pilgrimage. Saudi authorities sentenced him to execution by beheading. Due to external pressure on the Saudi government, however, it is unclear whether the execution will be enforced. Contents [hide] 1 Bio 2 Arrest and court proceedings 3 Scheduled execution 4 Reactions 5 References Bio Ali Hussain Sibat, a devout Shi'ite Muslim, is the father of four (other reports say five) children.[1][2] Prior to his arrest, he lived with his family in the eastern Lebanese village al-Ain. His wife, Samira Rahmoon, is a Sunni Muslim.[1] From Beirut, Sibat hosted a popular call-in show The Hidden that aired across the Middle East on the satellite TV channel Sheherazade. On the show, which was in effect "a Middle Eastern psychic hot line," Sibat earned $700 a month predicting the future, giving advice to his audience, casting spells and reciting incantations.[3][4] Arrest and court proceedings In May 2008, Mr. Sibat visited Saudi Arabia to perform the Umra pilgrimage to the holy shrines of Saudi Arabia. While Sibat was in the city of Medina, members of the Saudi religious police, the Mutawa'een, recognized him from his television show and then arrested him in his hotel room.[5] On November 9, 2009, a court in Medina sentenced Sibat to death on charges of "sorcery" after secret court hearings where he had no legal counsel. The crime of sorcery is not defined in Saudi laws, leading it be applied in arbitrary ways. The same year, Saudi authorities had also arrested dozens of others on such charges.[6] In January 2010, the Court of Appeal in Makkah accepted an appeal against Sibat's death sentence, on the grounds that it was a premature verdict. On March 10, a court in Medina upheld the death sentence. According to Amnesty International, "The judges said that he deserved to be sentenced to death because he had practised 'sorcery' publicly for several years before millions of viewers and that his actions 'made him an infidel.'" The case was then sent back to the Court of Appeal in Makkah for approval of the death sentence.[7] Scheduled execution On Wednesday, March 31, 2010, Sibat's lawyer, May al-Khansa, informed the media that Sibat was to be executed that upcoming Friday April 2 following after noon prayers.[3] Sibat's case, particularly as his scheduled execution neared, elicited widespread media coverage, appeals by international human rights groups and intervention by several Lebanese government officials.[2] On Friday though, the execution did not occur. Al-Khansa stated that Lebanon's justice minister told Sibat the execution would not occur that day, though it was still not clear whether the beheading had been waived or only postponed.[8] Reactions A Boston Globe editorial called Sibat's case "a 21st-century witch trial" and "a travesty of justice."[9] In September 2010, Amnesty International called on King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia to unconditionally release Sibat and commute his death sentence. If Sibat's death sentence is upheld after his appeal, the decision will be referred to the King for final ratification.[10] http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IiegEUYThsc1 point -
He Shall Never See Death, John 8:51
Gepetto_Zapata reacted to Abu Nur for a topic
Salaam Aleikum, Jesus (as) said: Verily, verily, I say unto you, If a man keep my saying, he shall never see death. John 8:51 It remind me the Quranic verse where God said: 'O you who believe! answer (the call of) Allah and His Messenger when he calls you to that which gives you life; This saying is actually very important, because by this verse We understand that when we are connected with God, then we are actually alive. Just like Ramadhan renews our furu' ud din, Muharram renews our Usul Ud Din and all that is about it namely tawheed, the message that is nabuwat, the divine and perfect leadership that is Imamat, the adl that is the reason for which Allah will send his last Hujjah, and the qiyamat, when we all will witness the ultimate reality of Allah. Muharram and specifically Ashura is also my allegiance to my imam, a constant reminder that when last imam says "Hal min Nasir", I better be there, and inshAllah making sure that never will any tyrant repeat any Karbala on any of the Ahlulbait (as) ever. [Closed/Review]Zanjeer Zani And Quma Zani
Ali_Hussain reacted to Al-MuHammadee for a topic
Justifying one Bid'ah with others! Perfect! The bottom line is: Zanjeer Zani or whatever you call it has NO basis in the Qur'aan or Sunnah. The Imaams (as) are the forerunners in good deeds according to the Qur'aan and our reliable reports. If anything is good at all, they would have done or recommended it. Moreover, if you claim that you do this out of love, do you love Imaam al-Husayn (as) more than the Imaams (as) and our righteous Salaf? None of them ever cut himself or herself out of such "love"! Are you now more catholic than the pope? Moreover, these Zanjeer thing has a lot of Shirk accompanying it. You see these people prostrating to their horses and flags, and overdoing whatever they are doing. Some of them even abandon Salaah in the name of "mourning" and "love". This Bid'ah has to stop. Surah Abasa, Prophet Making Mistake?
Saintly_Jinn23 reacted to Haydar Husayn for a topic
Notice that "the Prophet" is in brackets. It has been added to the translation, because it is not there in the Arabic. This was a slander against the Prophet (pbuh) made by certain people in order to hide the fact that it was Uthman that was criticised in the Quran for this. How can the man sent to perfect our morality turn away from a blind man, when even those of us who don't have one thousandth of his akhlaq wouldn't do that?1 point -

of course it is fair, its a way to ensure she is pregnant or not, and if she is, remove any doubt who the father is. isnt that common sense?1 point -
It is not for the girl herself, but to preserve the dignity of her family. Also, young girls, especially in these times, sometimes exercise very poor judgement when it comes to who to marry and why. The father is like a safety mechanism that protects them from making a decision based on a whim that may harm them later. If there is fear of falling into sin as a result of not being married or the boy is rejected based on criteria other than deen and aklaq, then it is a different case. Marajaa have different opinions regarding this case so they boy and girl should consult their individual marajaa on this. Moving to Polygomy and Temporary Marriage forum.1 point

Based on the Quranic verses, Prophets wives don't get special treatment just because they are related to their husband through matrimony. See the fate befall the wives of Noah and Lut. Sunnis worship their Sunni personalities. They would go to great length to defend their heroes and heroines even to the extent of fabricating a title to a rapist and a murderer like Khalid al Walid (the Sunnis call him the Sword of Allah) or calling the enemy of God, Muawiyah, a shahabi and a narrator of the Prophet.1 point
