You being serious ? Yeah Khomeini did, but dont forget Sayed Musa Sadr was busy putting the Shia on the Map in Lebanon, before Khomeini did in 79 !!!! Also do not forget that if it wasnt for oil and americans trying to steal it, the revolution wouldnt of had such a big impact, same way if the Hezb fought palestinians or moroccans it wouldnt have as much of an Impact as it would fighting Israel relax bro, Khomeini was a great man, and has my highest respect, he did help out the shia of the jnoob, but we cannot forget the other great maraje3 around Al Khoei and the Sadrs are a prime example !!!! (one side note, if it wasnt for the Ulema and the Shia of Jabal Amel, Iran would still be a sunni nation lol so there would be no Khomeini buddy... Us shia of Jnoob libnan were reverted first hand by a companion of the Rasul and Imam Ali a.s by the name of Abu Tharr, hence us jnoobites, have the Nick Name Shiat Abu Tharr) Check Mate :) Salams bro4 points

"sister"

My sister also finds this very annoying. She just prefers people to refer to her name, not for them to constantly call her 'sister' lol.3 points -
Bro im not disrespecting Iran, but dont act like your doing us favours, when we are shedding our blood, returning it ! You think if the Hezb were not successful in 2006, they wouldnt of bombed Iran by now ? Who helped you get weapons during the Iran - Iraq War ? The hostage crisis, we helped out massively by kidnapping CIA pawns in Beirut ! This shouldnt be about Iran or Lebanon, my country or yours, we have both scratched each others back, this is about Allah swt, and Ahlul Bayt , and what they taught us ! Thats what unites us, thats what keeps us strong, we have strong rich historical links when it comes to religion, which makes the bond strong ! Its Allah , Rasul Allah, Ahlul Bayt , and all previous Prophets we should be thanking, not Khomeini, or Nasrallah or Khamenei or Musa Sadr Thats the plain old truth, and real soliders from both countries real men n women realise this the rest are just groupies who jump on the bandwagon then run n hide when a few bombs go off !!! So let us leave the fitna BS aside, and unite thru Religion, because "Mankind is but a single Nation"3 points

Views Of Classical Sunni Scholars On The Khilafah
Ali Musaaa :) and one other reacted to Haydar Husayn for a topic
For those that can't watch the video, here are the quotes: (The scholars) consented that it is an obligation the Muslims to select a Khaleefah. (Imam an-Nawawi) The Imams (of the four schools) agree that the Imamah (Leadership) is an obligation, and that the Muslims must appoint an Imam. (Imam al-Juzayri) The Khilafa is the pillar upon which other pillars rest. (Imam al-Qurturbi) (Without Khilafah) The judges will be suspended, the provinces will be nullified, ...the decrees of those in authority will not be executed and all the people will be on the verge of Haraam. (Imam al-Ghazzali) The Fitna (mischief and tribulations) occurs when there is no Imaam established over the affairs of the people. (Imam Ahmad bin Hanbal) It is obligatory to know that the office in charge of the Imamah is one of the greatest obligations of the Deen. In fact, there is no establishment of the Deen except by it (Imam Ibn Taymiyyah) There is consensus that appointing a Khaleefah is obligatory ...so important in fact that they considered it more important than the matter of his (the Prophet's) burial (Imam al-Taftazani) Pretty crazy that someone could believe all this, and at the same time believe that the Prophet (pbuh) left no instructions whatsoever about the khilafah. No instuctions on how to choose one, no instructions on who is eligible to be khalifa, no instruction on what exactly the role of a khalifa would be. Nothing. Zip. Nada. It is also incredible that the khalifaj could be the worst person in the world, but as long as he has power and outwardly does the minimum required to be considered a Muslim, then allegiance to him is obligatory, and the khilafa remains such an important part of Islam. You would think that a position could only have such importance if it was held by a righteous person, but apparently not. The khilafah of Yazid was as good as anybody elses in terms of its importance to Islam.2 points -
(salam) A few days ago, we (the Shaykh of the Chat-room, Zareen and the gang) were having a discussion about this mosque in Jerusalem. According to the Sunnis, this mosque here (incorrectly known as the al-Aqsa) is the third holiest site/mosque in Islam after Makkah and Medina. 1.Are we absolutely sure that verse 1 in Surah al-Israa is about this mosque? [shakir 17:1] Glory be to Him Who made His servant to go on a night from the Sacred Mosque to the remote mosque of which We have blessed the precincts, so that We may show to him some of Our signs; surely He is the Hearing, the Seeing. 2. Hadeeth from the Ahlul Bayt stated that al-Aqsa is not on earth but in heaven 3. Historically, the Muslims were not known to have built any mosque in the time of the Holy Prophet (pbuh) in the year 600AD. No mosque named al-Aqsa existed then in Jerusalem??. 4. According to the history, the mosque was built after Muslim conquest of Jerusalem. So the claim that the mosque (in Jerusalem) being referenced to a verse in al-Quran doesn’t seem valid...right?. I am not finding anything significant with the Jerusalem mosque. It is an old mosque and a house of worship (and should be respected) but beyond that, there isn’t anything really significant here. What do you guys think? :unsure:2 points

Sunnis Are More Divided In Sub Sects Than Shia?
Aabiss_Shakari and one other reacted to 89jghur32 for a topic
The term Sunni basically refers to anyone who's not Shii, but that doesn't clarify anything. How do we know who a Sunni is with three different schools of creed, four different schools of fiqh, so many tariqahs for tasawwuf, revivalists movements that have introduced new beliefs and so forth? If I wanted, I could list 20 different groups that consider themselves to be "Sunni" but have very vast differences between them. Heck, even the Ibadhis in Oman are now calling themselves "Sunni" and they accept a pillar of belief that Sunnis in general do not (wilayat).2 points -
"sister"
ireallywannaknow and one other reacted to Ali_Hussain for a topic
I can see how it could annoy women, as I have often seen 'sister' used as some sort of sleazy chat up line. But in most cases I think these terms aren't intended to come across like that, or just that the person doesn't know the name of the person they are addressing. Personally (in real life) I just address people as 'excuse me' unless I know their name. Though for the people who don't like 'sister' it is much better than 'yo' , 'darlin' , 'baby' or 'oi' I hate it when people use terms like 'brother' to try and form some kind of bond so they can rip you off, which is not uncommon2 points -

Iran's Salehi Due In Saudi Arabia
shiasoldier786 and one other reacted to Noah- for a topic
For people like Hawraa, these kinds of basic things are just some excuses to do Iran bashing... Other examples (topics) are weapons bought from Israel during the war, putting a few clerics (Mullahs) in prisons by Iranian government and etc. But, when it comes to Iran's stance against Saudi or against Israel or when assuring the rights of Mullahs, the same people will never stand by Iranian decisions. Then, the same people will simply take an opposite side and blame Iran for going against Saudi, against Israel and/or protecting Mullahs. On this forum or in real life, in the media... The accusation against Iran on buying weapons from Israel as (a very negative and bad thing) come from those people (Arab puppet states) who in their entire lives never appreciated any Iranian move against Israel or any move by any party against Israel; they never bothered even once to condemn Israel. In simple life we can describe these people as haters. These are the types of weak, lazy and politically failed people who only follow the media and mainly propaganda, especially against Islam, against Iran and against any independent party or group. By focusing only on one direction, on one group and only waiting for something 'negative' to happen according to their own standards and logic and then preach that to others to try to make a point.2 points -

Why Were We Created?
Waiting for HIM and one other reacted to MajiC for a topic
There is a Hikmah or Wisdom in the purpose of Creation. God did not create out of need nor in vain but by virtue of His Essence (or His Grace), which necessitated that God create the greatest possible perfection. That is the perfection of Man’s free-will, which is found in the willing worship of God. Worship in this sense is not merely superficial and confined only to the actions of bodily limbs and organs and ritual practices (although these are necessary) but its substance is the vicegerency and reflection of the Divine Essence in our affairs (i.e. Justness, Trustworthiness, Benevolence etc). In other words: The act of creation is a necessary implication of the Divine Essence: To possess absolute perfection is to posses all positive ontological qualities. Among those qulities is 'Grace' or the "giving" nature. God therefore "gives" existence, without withholding whatsoever, to all "things" that qualify and are receptive to it. Among those is the greatest possible creation and that happens to be the 'free being'. This type of entity, unlike the inanimate entities which follow prescribed natural laws, is the most perfect possible product of creation by virtue of its possessing the potential to 'freely and willingly' submit to and therefore spiritually return in communion with its creator. Please see the link below for an earlier and more extensive discussion on this some years ago: http://www.shiachat....se-of-creation/2 points -

Persian Word Of The Day
Lanatin and one other reacted to baradar_jackson for a topic
I don't understand what is so offensive about the statement, "The brave men of the IRI Army made many sacrifices/martyrdoms during the difficult times of the Imposed War," that certain individuals feel the need to make ignorant political remarks in response to it. Do these individuals not consider the men of the IRI Army to be brave? Do they deny that they made sacrifices and jihads? Do they deny that the Imposed War was difficult times? Do they deny that the Imposed War was "imposed"? What is it about that statement that triggered a vile counter-revolutionary reaction? Perhaps the fact that the faithful hezbollahi forces, during the war, made many sacrifices and fought so bravely, puts under question their whole notion of the world coming to an end in 1979 and of there being absolutely no fruits from the triumph of the Islamic Revolution? Yes! This is why they cannot even so much as accept the Soldiers of Islam as martyrs! Why not? Because they followed a corrupt Sufi Marxist Batri leader who implemented a deviant bidah doctrine and etc... As far as they are concerned, nothing positive can be said of the Islamic Revolution, nothing positive can be said Imam Khomeini or Seyyed Ali, and in fact nothing positive can be said of anything that has happened in Iran since then.2 points -
Ennahda Party Wins Election In Tunisia
ImamAliLover reacted to Saintly_Jinn23 for a topic
Naturally, on the comments sections in American news media (just look at the comments section on the Source link), a bunch of people are complaining about "Islamists" winning in Tunisia, but as long as they have support some decent liberal and/or secular policies, doesn't seem like a bad deal. Heck, in a country that is predominately Muslim, it makes sense to me that an Islamic party holds the most sway in a representative government. What do you all think? Do you think some American critics of "Islamist parties" are getting too bent out of shape over Ennahda winning the election? Source:http://news.yahoo.co...cnlwYWdl;_ylv=31 point -

There's some people who say 'Allah knows what's in my heart and what my intentions are so there's no point of me praying'. Just because you know the consequences of not praying, it doesn't mean you won't neglect them. This person seems to think that by reading duas etc they'll get closer to Allah. i think the most important part is that suni agree that the last imam will be from ahl bayt .. so they should stop this whole sahaba salafi and the way of prophet's companions thing !! put themselves in position of descendent of sayida fatima .. saydna Ali, Hussain etc. .. the realities of them being REALLY upset with their sahaba .. and start taking sides. i think this descendent of our dear prophet will want vengeance .. and most of all from the so-called muslims who betrayed the family .. so any suni should make a point .. make it clear .. that they are on side of ahl bayt .. and following ahl bayt BEFORE the sahaba and they only follow the sahaba who are CLEARLY on side of ahl bayt .. otherwise they will be doomed .. .. and doomed badly too :(1 point
