  2. In the battle of Jamal, Imam Hasan (as) was the commander of the right wing of the army, and Imam Ali (as) sent him into battle after Muhammad Hanafiyyah was unable to pierce the enemy line due to the severity of the battle. In the battle of Siffin, Imam Hasan (as) killed 70 of the enemy in his first attack and 202 in his second attack. But you know what the greatest act of bravery is? Signing a peace treaty with Mu'awiya even though the people who are supposedly on your side call you "Mudhil al-Mumineen".

  3. Last night I rummaged through my mother's old book shelf (which is really a room fulled with books that when you open the door the books fall out). After digging through the dust I found a bunch of great old books. There's Shahid Beheshti books, Allameh Tabatabaei, Dr. Shariati, Shahid Motahhari, Shahid Sadr, Imam Khomeini, ... These were books my mother read when she was my age. Now I'm shanking them all for myself. If I feel merciful, I will scan the covers of some of them to share with you peasants so you can bask in the light of my newfound wealth.

  4. Haven't read the whole topic, but I caught this. This isn't true. From Shaykh Saduq's al-Khisal: حدثنا محمد بن إبراهيم بن إسحاق الطالقاني رضي الله عنه قال: حدثنا عبد العزيز بن يحيى قال: حدثني محمد بن زكريا قال: حدثنا جعفر بن محمد بن عمارة، عن أبيه قال: سمعت جعفر بن محمد عليهما السلام يقول: ثلاثة كانوا يكذبون على رسول الله أبو هريرة، وأنس بن مالك، وامرأة. Muhammad b. Ibrahim b. Ishaq at-Taliqani, may Allah be pleased with him, narrated to us. He said: `Abd al-`Aziz b. Yahya narrated to us. He said: Muhammad b. Zakariyya narrated to me. He said: Ja`far b. Muhammad b. `Ammara narrated to us from his father. He said: I heard Ja`far b. Muhammad عليهما السلام saying: Three would lie against the Messenger of Allah: Abu Huraya and Anas b. Malik and a woman.

  5. Address by H.E. Dr. Mahmoud Ahmadinejad President of the Islamic Republic of Iran before the 66th Session of the United Nations General Assembly. New York 22 September 2011 In the Name of God, the Compassionate The Merciful All praise be to Allah, the lord of the Universe, and peace and blessing be upon our Master and prophet, Mohammad, and his pure household, his noble companions and on all divine messengers. ‘Oh, God, hasten the arrival of Imam al-Mahdi and grant him good health and victory, and make us his followers and all those who attest to his rightfulness.’ Mr. President, Excellencies, Ladies and Gentlemen, I am grateful to the Almighty Allah who granted me, once more, the opportunity to appear before this world assembly. I have the pleasure to express my sincere thanks to H.E. Joseph Deiss, president of the sixty-fifth session for his tremendous efforts during his tenure. I also would like to congratulate H.E Nassir Abdulaziz Al-Nasser on his election as the president of sixty-sixth session of the United Nations and wish him all success. Let me seize the moment to pay tribute to all those who lost their lives in the past year, particularly to the victims of tragic famine in Somalia and the devastating flood in Pakistan. I urge everyone to increase their assistance and aid to the affected populations in these countries. Over the past years, I spoke about different global issues, and the need to introduce fundamental changes in the current international order. - Today, considering the international developments, I will try to analyze the present situation from a different angle. - As you all know the dominance and superiority of human beings over other creatures, lie in the very nature and the truth of humankind. which is a divine gift and a manifestation of the divine spirit embodying: - Faith in God, who is the ever-lasting creator and planner of the entire universe. - Showing compassion to others, generosity, justice-seeking, and having integrity both in words and in deeds. - The quest for dignity to reach the pinnacles of perfection, the aspiration to elevate one’s material and spiritual status, and the longing to realize liberty; - Defying oppression, corruption, and discrimination in contrast to supporting the oppressed. - Seeking happiness, and lasting prosperity and security for all. - These are some of the manifestations of common divine and human attributes which can clearly be seen in the historical aspirations of human beings as reflected in the heritage of our search for art and literary works both in prose and poetry, and in the socio-cultural and political movements of human beings in the course of history. - All divine prophets and social reformers invited human beings to tread on this righteous path. - God has given dignity to humankind to elevate his status to assume his successor role on Earth. Dear Colleagues and friends: - It is vividly clear that despite all historical achievements, including creation of the United-Nations, that was a product of untiring struggles and efforts of free-minded and justice-seeking individuals as well as the international cooperation, human societies are yet far from fulfilling their noble desires and aspirations. - Most nations of the world are unhappy with the current international circumstances. - And despite the general longing and aspiration to promote peace, progress, and fraternity, wars, mass-murder, widespread poverty, and socioeconomic and political crises continue to infringe upon the rights and sovereignty of nations, leaving behind irreparable damage worldwide; - Approximately, three billion people of the world live on less than 2.5 dollars a day, and over a billion people even live without having even one sufficient meal on a daily basis; - Forty-percent of the poorest world populations only share five percent of the global income, while twenty percent of the richest people share seventy-five percent of the total global income. - More than twenty thousand innocent and destitute children die every day in the world because of poverty. - Eighty percent of financial resources in the United States are controlled by ten percent of its population, while only twenty percent of these resources belong to the ninety percent of the population. - What are the causes and reasons behind these inequalities? How can bone remedy such injustice? - Those who dominate and run centers of global economic power put the blame on people’s aspiration for religion and the pursuit of the path of divine prophets or the weakness of nations and the ill-performance of a number of groups or individuals. They claim that only their views, approaches or prescriptions can save the humanity and the world economy. Dear Colleagues and friends - Don’t you think that the root cause of the problems must be sought in the prevailing international order, or the way the world is governed? I would like to draw your kind attention to the following questions: - Who abducted forcefully tens of millions of people from their homes in Africa and other regions of the world during the dark period of slavery, making them a victim of their materialistic greed? - Who imposed colonialism for over four centuries upon this world? Who occupied lands and massively plundered resources of other nations, destroyed talents, and alienated languages, cultures and identities of nations? - Who triggered the first and second world wars, that left seventy millions killed and hundreds of millions injured or homeless. Who created the wars in Korean peninsula and in Vietnam? - Who imposed, through deceits and hypocrisy, the Zionists and over sixty years of war, homelessness, terror and mass murder on the Palestinian people and on countries of the region? - Who imposed and supported for decades military dictatorship and totalitarian regimes on Asian, African, and Latin American nations. - Who used atomic bomb against defenseless people, and stockpiled thousands of warheads in their arsenals? - Whose economies rely on waging wars and selling arms? - Who provoked and encouraged Saddam Hussein to invade and impose an eight-year war on Iran, and who assisted and equipped him to deploy chemical weapons against our cities and our people. - Who used the mysterious September 11 incident as a pretext to attack Afghanistan and Iraq - killing, injuring, and displacing millions in two countries- with the ultimate goal of bringing into its domination the Middle-East and its oil resources? - Who abolished the Breton Woods system and printed trillions of dollars without the backing of gold reserves or equivalent currency? A move that triggered inflation worldwide and was intended to prey on the economic gains of other nations. - What country’s military spending exceeds annually a thousand billion dollars, more than the military budgets of all countries of the world combined? - Which governments are the most indebted ones in the world? - Who dominates the policy-making establishments of the world economy? - Who are responsible for the world economic recession, and are imposing its consequences on America, Europe and the world in general? - Which governments are ever ready to drop thousands of bombs on other countries, but ponder and hesitate to send a bit of food aid to famine-stricken people in Somalia or in other places? - Who are the ones dominating the Security Council which is ostensibly responsible to safeguard the international security? - There exist tens of other similar questions and of course, the answers are clear. - The majority of nations and governments of the world have had no role in the creation of the current global crises, and as a matter of fact were themselves the victims of such policies. - It is as lucid as daylight that the same slave masters and colonial powers that once instigated the two world wars have caused widespread miseries and disorder with far-reaching effects across the globe since then. Dear Colleagues and Friends, - Do these arrogant powers really have the competence and ability to run or govern the world, or is it acceptable that they call themselves as the sole defender of freedom, democracy, and human rights, while they militarily attack and occupy other countries? - Can the flower of democracy blossom from NATO’s missiles, bombs or, guns? Ladies and Gentlemen; - If some European countries still use the Holocaust, after six decades, as the excuse to pay fine or ransom to the Zionists, should it not be an obligation upon the slave masters or colonial powers to pay reparations to the affected nations? - If the damage and losses of the period of slavery and colonialism were indeed compensated, what would happen to the manipulators and behind-the-scene political powers in the United States and in Europe? Will there remain any gaps between the North and the South? - If only half of military expenditures of the United States and its allies in NATO is cut to help solve the economic problems in their own countries will they be witnessing any symptom of the economic crisis? - What would happen, if the same amount is allocated to poor nations? - What is the justification for the presence of hundreds of US military and intelligence bases in different parts of the world, including 268 bases in Germany, 124 in Japan, 87 in South Korea, 83 in Italy, 45 in the United-Kingdom, and 21 in Portugal? Does this mean anything other than military occupation? - Don’t the bombs deployed in the said bases undermine the security of other nations? Ladies and Gentlemen - The main question is the quest for the root cause of such attitudes? - The prime reason should be sought in the beliefs and tendencies of the establishment. - Assemblies of people in contradiction with the inner human instincts and disposition, who also have no faith in God and in the path of the divine prophets, replace their lust for power and materialistic ends with heavenly values. - To them, only power and wealth prevail, and every attempt must bring into focus these sinister goals. - Oppressed nations have no hope to restore or protect their legitimate rights against these powers. - These powers seek their progress, prosperity and dignity through the poverty, humiliation and annihilation of others. - They consider themselves superior to others enjoying special privileges or concessions. They have no respect for others and easily violate the rights of all nations and governments. - They proclaim themselves as the indisputable custodians of all governments and nations through intimidation, recourse to threat and force, and the abuse of international mechanisms. They simply break all the internationally-recognized and regulations. - They insist on imposing their lifestyle and beliefs on others. - They officially support racism. - They weaken countries through military intervention, and destroy their infrastructures, in order to plunder their resources by making them all the more dependent. - They sow the seeds of hate and hostility among nations and people of different pursuits, in order to prevent them from fulfilling their goals of development and progress. - All cultures, identities, lives, values and wealth of nations, women, youth, families, families as well as the wealth of nations are sacrificed by their hegemonic tendencies and the inclination to enslave and captivate others. - Hypocrisy and deceit are allowed to secure their interests and imperialistic goals. Drug- trafficking and killing of innocent human beings are also allowed in pursuit of such diabolic goals. Despite NATO’s presence in the occupied Afghanistan, there has been a dramatic increase in the production of illicit drugs there. - They tolerate no question or criticism, and instead of presenting a reason for their violations, they always put themselves in the position of a claimant. - By using their imperialistic media network which is under the influence of colonialism they threaten anyone who questions the Holocaust, and September 11 with sanctions and military action. - Last year, when the need to form a fact-finding team to undertake a thorough investigation concerning the hidden elements involved in September 11 incident was brought up- an idea which is also endorsed by all independent governments and nations as well as by the majority in the United States-, my country and myself came under pressure and threats by the government of the United States. - Instead of assigning a fact-finding team, they killed the main perpetrator and threw his body into the sea. - Would it not have been reasonable to bring to justice and try openly the main perpetrator of the incident in order to identify the elements behind the safe space provided for the invading aircraft to attack the twin world trade towers? - Why should it not have been allowed to bring him into trial to help recognize those who launched terrorist groups and brought wars and other miseries into the region? - Is there any classified information that must be kept secret? - They view Zionism as a sacred notion or ideology and any question concerning its very foundation and history is condemned by them as an unforgivable sin. However they endorse and allow sacrileges and insult against beliefs of other divine religions. Dear Colleagues and Friends. - Real freedom, justice, dignity, well being, and lasting security are the rights of all nations. - These values can neither be achieved by reliance on the current inefficient system of world governance, nor through the intervention of the world arrogant powers and the gun barrels of NATO forces. - These values could only be realized under independence and recognition of others’ right and through harmony and cooperation. - Is there any way to address the problems and challenges besetting the world by using the prevailing international mechanisms or tools to help humanity achieve the long-standing aspiration of peace, security and equality? - All those who tried to introduce reforms whilst preserving the existing norms and tendencies have failed. The valuable efforts made by the Non-Aligned movement and Group 77 and 15 as well as by some prominent individuals have failed to bring fundamental changes. - Governance and management of the world entail fundamental reforms. - What has to be done now? Dear Colleagues and Friends - Efforts must be made with a firm resolve and through collective cooperation to map out a new plan, on the basis of principles and the very foundation of human universal values such as Monotheism, justice, freedom, love and the quest for happiness. - The idea of creation of the United Nations remains a great and historical achievement of mankind. Its importance must be appreciated and its capacities must be used to the extent possible for our noble goals. - We should not allow the organization which is the reflection of the collective will and shared aspiration of the community of nations, to deviate from its main course and play into the hands of the world powers. - Conducive ground must be prepared to ensure collective participation and involvement of nations in an effort to promote lasting peace and security. - Shared and collective management of the world must be achieved in its true sense, and based on the underlying principles enshrined in the international law; and justice must serve as the criterion and the basis for all international decisions or actions. - All of us should acknowledge the fact that there is no other way than the shared and collective management of the world in order to put an end to the present disorders, tyranny, and discriminations worldwide. - This is indeed the sole way to prosperity and welfare of human society which is an established and vivid truth. - While acknowledging the above truth, one should note that it is not enough and that we must have further faith in that and spare no effort toward its realization. Dear Colleagues and Friends - Shared and collective management of the world is the legitimate right of all nations, and we as their representatives, have an obligation to defend their rights. Although some powers continuously try to frustrate all international efforts, aimed at promoting collective cooperation, we must, however, strengthen our belief in achieving the perceived goal of establishing a shared and collective cooperation to run the world. - The United Nations was created to make possible effective participation of all nations in international decision-making processes. - We all know that this goal has not yet been fulfilled because of the absence of justice in the current management structures and mechanisms of the UN. - The composition of the Security Council is unjust and inequitable. Therefore, changes and restructuring of the United Nations are considered as the basic demands of the nations that must be addressed by the General Assembly. - During last year session, I emphasized the importance of this issue and called for the designation of this decade as the decade of shared and collective Global Management. - I would like now to reiterate my proposal and I am sure that through international cooperation diligent and efforts of committed world leaders or governments and through insistence on justice and the support of all other nations, we can expedite the building of a common bright future. - This movement is certainly on the rightful path of creation with the assurance of promising future for humanity. - A future that will be built when humanity initiates to trend the path of the divine prophets and the righteous the under the leadership of Imam al-Mahdi, the Ultimate Savior of mankind and the inheritor to all divine messengers, leaders and to the pure generation of our great Prophet. - Creation of a supreme and ideal society with the arrival of a perfect human being, who is a true and sincere lover of all human beings, is the guaranteed promise of Allah. - He will come with Jesus Christ to lead the freedom and justice lovers to eradicate tyranny and discrimination, and promote knowledge, peace, justice freedom and love across the world. He will present to every single individual all the beauties of the world and all good things which bring happiness for humankind. - Today nations have been awakened and with the increase in public awareness, they no longer succumb to oppressions and discriminations. - The world is now witnessing more than ever, the widespread awakening in Islamic lands, in Asia, Europe, and America. These movements are ever expanding everyday their specter and influence to pursue the realization of justice, freedom and the creation of a better tomorrow. - Our great nation stands ready to join hands with other nations to march on this beautiful path in harmony and in line with the shared aspirations of mankind. - Let us salute love, freedom, justice, knowledge, and the bright future that awaits humankind. Thank you.

If you want proper answers, maybe you should make more effort to properly formulate your questions. Try to make them both intelligible and respectful. Otherwise, there is no point wasting time responding to you.

  12. Sis that hadith refers to striking one ayah against another (i.e. quoting one ayah to support a view that is against the Quran as a whole). That is not what Allameh Tabatabaei did.

    Family Abuse.

First, there is no valid reason for your family members to use violence against you or threaten you with it. This is Thulm (opression) and they will be accountable for it. If they do something to you that causes you a physical injury, then you should move out. Period. That is only logical in order for you to preserve your health and dignity. At the same time, if you move out, this doesn't give you a free license to engage in haram (not that you were thinking of that, but just thought I would mention). The unfortunate fact about a single muslimah living in the West is that there are many opportunities to do haram in a way that your parents and family probably will not find out about it. Unless your Iman and Taqwa are very strong, you will probably end up doing something that you will regret later and maybe will lead you down the path away from Allah(s.w.a). This is not so much the case in muslim countries, although it is possible there too. That is why I always recommend for a single muslimah to stay with her family unless staying with her family will cause her physical injury and harm.

  15. I am ignorant, but from what I can observe from the lives of our best ulama (such as Imam Khomeini), it is recommended to live on the minimal level of material comfort. However, this is not acceptable if it involves completely severing yourself from the outside world (like many Buddhist and Christian monks do), or making halal haraam (like practicing celibacy). There is a hadith from Imam Ali where he says it is bad to eat nothing but meat for 40 days, but it is also bad to not eat any meat for 40 days. (don't remember the exact words or the source). There is also a hadith where some women came to the Prophet and said that their husbands fast every day, pray salaatul layl every night, and do not touch them. The Prophet said that they are not from him; that some days he fasts and some days he does not, that some nights he prays salaatul layl and some nights he spends with his wives. It is above me to draw conclusions from hadith, but these hadith support what the most pious among us today say and do. If we define asceticism as self-denial, then every religion supports some form of asceticism. (Fasting is, in this case, a form of asceticism). But if we take it a step further and add celibacy and complete isolation and self-starvation, then no. Fasting is acceptable within its Islamic limits. Isolation is acceptable within its Islamic limits (like i'tikaf). Allahu a'lam.

  16. (bismillah) (salam) I am new here and i need some advices I have a friend. She lives in Iran, she wants to marry, and she receives at home some suitors since several years. But none of them are good, they don’t care a lot of how religious she is and how she is inside. Sadly, in Iranian society, appearance matter a lot more than inside. They want her to wear a chador without caring if she is really a good muslim. When she answers that she doesn’t, they don’t even come. (I specify that she wears hijab correctly, not showing hair at all, the halal way) She is tired of that kind of men, and wants to find real mu’minin, those who care only of the two criterias the Holy Prophet (pbuh) has set, faith and manners. Those who have a pure faith and don’t care of stupid Iranian traditions that are even (for some of them) against Islam. I told her, instead of waiting that a good one comes to her, as Bibi Khadija(sa) she should do the first step and search herself. But she doesn’t know how to start, where to go etc to find a suitable man. She would like a muqallid of Sistani, Khoei or Khorasani. In your opinion, what should she do? Where she can find etc? How to start ? She is kinda getting desperate, coz she is now 24 years old, and its several years she is receiving those suitors. It makes her think she is not a good person that people don’t like her. All advices are welcome

  20. No offense to the poster, but this post is riddled with flaws. Majority of money spent on chinese products in fact goes to americans that work in stock and selling of the product, a smaller fraction goes to china. Also, as we all know, most US oil comes from canada and mexico, and i dont know if you keep up with the news, but soon there could be even more coming from canada. Also, prostitution is illegal and ull get lots of stds so i wouldnt recommend that. moving on... This was an interesting post. I would say though that, many cultural changes are also beneficial to the society. Nobody fills up the same glass bottle over and over because its easier to toss around plastic ones that wont break, theyre easier to stack and ship as well, lighter more portable etc etc. If you get sick from drinking tap water, its because your country is polluting your water supply. That has nothing to do with US culture. I dont think ive ever been to a state in the US where ive drank water and gotten sick either, if youre large and industrialized you need to also purify it. Bottled water can be seen as a fancy thing, but regardless, water supplies are not dependent upon the US. And why would anyone wrap their bread in newspaper? Its far easier to put it in a plastic bag, and you can keep it fresher for a longer period of time. These are parts of our culture, but theyre reasonable as well. China used to have a ton of bikes, but they realized its 100 times more efficient to drive a car. Its not really American culture, its just common sense. The faster and more efficiently you move, the more you can accomplish in a shorter period of time. Other than that though, not a bad post. I enjoyed the part where you said "Average Americans are dumb. So what. Most people everywhere in the world are dumb. " because its true. Experts around the world are good at what they do, people without expertise are not. So you cannot look at laymen and expect professors. Well said. Oh and for the poster, majority of the governments money is currently in the hands of the american people themselves, like me :P. now we just have to give it back. Also though, people shouldnt hate on the US. That would be like hating on Iraq because it used to be ran by Saddam. Things are constantly changing diplomatically and the people of the US are people just like everyone else in the rest of the world. If you talk to them, they will listen, and if you provide them with reason, they will support your cause. The US of today i would not say is the same as the US of the past, nor will it be like the US of the future. I think it was baradar talking about the US govt toppling enemy governments. These things dont happen anymore for a multitude of reasons atleast not so blatantly, but the point is, peoples opinions of how to establish order to the world and what actions they take are always changing. Its trial and error and eventually i think things will work out for everyone.

  22. Why would you expect that? It was Allah's solution, and two of his representatives used it. That is, if the Biblical story is authentic. Unless we have it in at least a Muslim source, I don't see how we can take it on par in terms of reliability. I don't really see the big deal that is being made out.

We can only thank him for accepting our invitation and sparing some time for the forum, considering the fact that he already has plenty of responsibilities in real life. 25. If it is so authentic, why when it came time to put it on paper, was the chain fabricated? I think you are letting your obvious hatred for Nader Zaveri blind you, all he has done is present the evidence as it is, and you respond with irrelevant stuff like he can't speak arabic, although i'm not sure on what you are basing that. How reliable do you think an oral tradition that spans a thousand years would be? Why was it not included in mafatih? Next your gonna be telling le the the poem nade ali is 100 % authentic? You don't seem to realise that Imam Ali عليه السلام, as well as other Imams told their followers to write things down, and there is a very rich tradition is shi'a islam about writing things down in order to preserve them, this oral tradtion when it comes to hadith is more of sunni thing, and look at the mess that got them in, their books are full of fabrications and important omissions. Books were writen then shown to the Imam for verification, even if this du'a does go back to those days, the fact that it didn't make it into any of those books for confirmation would probably tell us it isn't authentic, and was probably spread by the ghullats, if of course it goes back that far, which I would guess it doesn't. The Imams even had books that they inherited from each other, and referred to in certain matters, and they by all accounts had excelent memories so why the need to write these things down? Here are some ahadith that speak of it Zurarah has narrated, "I asked Imam Muhammad al-Baqir about the inheritance of a grand father and said, 'I have not seen any body speak about it but that is based on personal opinions except Amirul Mu'minin Ali (a.s).' I asked, "What has he said in this matter?" The Imam replied, "Come tomorrow so I can read it for you from the book." I then requested, "Please say it to me in the form of Hadith because your Hadith is better for me than books." "Do what I asked you to do, said the Imam (a.s). "Come tomorrow and I will read for you from the book." Zurarah has said, "I visited the Imam next day in the afternoon. Hakam and I had a disagreement on some issues and the Imam asked his son, "Please bring me that big book. He opened the book and turned several leaves until he found the answer and said, "This is the hand writing of Ali (a.s) and the dictation of the holy Prophet (s.a)." Rijal of Najashi P 255 There are many more Further more, how often is this really recited in the masjid? People here are making out there is a special day set aside for it like du'a kumeil, when in fact it is only on very rare occasions that it is recited, when was the last time you heard it recited? Because i honestly can't recall the last time i heard it in a masjid.

  26. I have some Farsi ebooks of his, if you're interested. I am OK with "lending" PDFs because it doesn't take away from my own wealth. Some Lebanese I know do not even share pictures with me! They have millions of Imam Khomeini pictures on their computers and they refuse to show me just one. That's why I will never lend them any of my books.

If I remember correctly only one of the 25-30 books I took were by him, but it's in the secret Majoosi language so it's of no use to you. But they are not rare. I don't know where you got that idea. When you get to Iran you will see them all over. And no, I won't lend them to anyone, ESPECIALLY not to any Lebanese people.

  31. Guys u need to understand that for zionists & supporters .. Including supporters on this thread .. The life of a Muslim is worth less than an animal. They want all their Gentiles to be slaves of them .. So telling them: "but they kill, steal, lie, deceive, do bad etc etc " .. Won't help because they think it's ok. They don't understand that we are all from a single soul and that all humans and jinn will be judged fairly. Also keep in mind that Allah has set s seal on their hearts so they don't see hear feel it understand. Basically, don't let it upset you. It's our duty to warn and bring good news . 33. They are guests and refugees in Lebanon, yet they don't want to give up their weapons... And never will we forget how the Paloz used to treat Lebanese, especially southern Lebanese... You want me to tell you the horror stories? Let me not for now... We were, in the beginning, actually relieved that the Iraelis were coming in to wipe them out, because of how we were being oppressed by them, rice and flowers were being thrown at the IDF until they in turn started occupying... 90% of crimes in Lebanon, till this day, are committed by Paloz, then they run in their refugee camps and hide... Follow them and get machined gun inside... And you think the great Sayyed Musa El Sadr was kidnapped by Qaddhaffi only? No, it had Palestinian hands all over it, may Allah a.j. worsen the state of Yasser Arafaat... They were betting on the whole south being theirs but a Resistance emerged so the Resistance became a threat to them as well in their minds... You don't know the beginning of it... So what goes around comes around... They are refugees in our country yet despise us for nothing, just because they're bad people (Most of them), they despise Shi'aahs, they used to shoot Shi'aahs just because prayers were performed with arms down and not folded... In their stupid refugee camps, they are harboring Al-Qaeda members... I'm sad on what's happening to them in Palestine now, but it's their fault, they're the most infiltrated, the most bribed... They need to solve the issues within themselves before nagging and crying about the remaining Arabs... Israel isn't as bad as problem to the Arabs as Palestine is nowadays...

what is the purpose of Asceticism? closeness to God? does that mean they denounce the world? what about relationship to other humans? how will they feed them selves? where will they live? pay rent? they won't bring apples out of thin air straight away. :)

  39. (salam) (bismillah) No, this is an incorrect assumption. We have numerous aHaadeeth where our Prophet (pbuh) started his speeches saying "the worst of affairs are those that are innovated, and every bid`ah is astray and everything astray is in the fire" Taken from al-Mufeed's al-Amaali: (the Prophet (pbuh) got on the minbar and said) The best guidance is the guidance of Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم), and the best hadeeth is the Book of Allaah, and the worst of affairs is what is innovated, and every bid`ah is astray and everything astray is in the fire” Also, we have hadeeth from our 6th Imaam, that says the Prophet (pbuh) discussed about the people of bid`ah. Click here: http://www.revivingalislam.com/2010/12/exposing-bidah-reward-for-doing-so.html We also have hadeeth from Imaam `Alee (as) saying that "no one establishes a bid`ah without abandoning a sunnah". Click here: http://www.revivingalislam.com/2010/12/our-imaams-attitude-towards-bidah.html As you can see, this is exactly inline with the hadeeth I posted earlier. So the term bid`ah has been used by our Prophet (pbuh) and Imaam `Alee (as). (salam)

  40. (salam) This is very beneficial for either her to watch or for you to watch and then tell her about it. I have seen it but it was quite some time ago, basically the seyed talks about both points of views, the male and the female and the various different ways they can go through to get married. He says that 1 problem with a woman asking a man for marriage is that if she gets turned down she may not be able to take it. If a man gets rejected he may be able to move on but with a woman she may start thinking it's cos of her looks etc. (wasalam)

  41. (salam) What "proof" are you looking for exactly? Just because Ibn Taymiyya said he did not exist, it doesn't mean he was basing his opinion off of anything factual. After all, he's the same guy that said the killing of `Umar ibn Sa`d was worse than the killing of Sayyid ash-Shabaab Ahl aj-Janna Imam al-Husayn (as). The argument that there is "no proof" for his existence is getting old. What, for you, constitutes as proof? Are the words of the Imams themselves good enough, or do you need Ibn Taymiyya to tell you that al-Qa'im (as) exists? So what kind of evidence do you want? Ahadith? Because we have plenty of those you know. "I said to abu Muhammad (Imam Hasan Askari) (a.s.), ‘Your grace causes shyness to me to ask you questions. May I ask you a question?" He said, "Yes, you may ask." I said, "My master, do you have a son?" He said, "Yes, I do have a son." I then said, "If anything will happen to you, where would I ask about him?" He replied, "In Madina." Ibrahim narrated to us from his father from al Rayyan b. Shabib. He said: I came into the presence of al Rida عليه السلام on the first day of Muharram. He said to me: O son of Shabib! Are you fasting? I said: No. So he said: Verily this day is the day on which Zakariyya عليه السلام called upon his Lord عز وجل. He said: My Lord! Grant me good offspring from Thee; surely Thou art the Hearer of the prayer [sural al-Ali `Imran, 3:38]. So Allah answered him and ordered the angels to call out to Zakariyya while he was standing in the mihrab (the prayer-niche), that: Verily Allah gives you the glad-tidings of Yahya [surat al-Ali `Imran, 3:39]. Whoever fasts this day and then calls out to Allah عز وجل, Allah will respond to him like He responded to Zakariyya عليه السلام. Then he said: O son of Shabib! Muharram is the month in which the people of the Jahiliyyah from the past would prohibit oppression and fighting due to its sanctity but this ummah did not recognise the sanctity of its month nor the sanctity of its Prophet صلى اللّه عليه وآله. They killed his offspring in this month and captured his women and plundered his burdens (provisions). So Allah will not forgive them that, ever. O son of Shabib! If you were to cry over anything, then cry over Husain b. `Ali b. Abi Talib عليه السلام, for he was slaughtered like the ram is slaughtered. And eighteen men from the people of his house, the like of whom are not to be found on the earth, were murdered with him. The seven heavens and the earths wailed over his killing. Four thousand of the angels descended toward the earth but they found that he had been murdered. So they shall remain dishevelled, dusty till the Qa’im rises; then they will be from his helpers. And their slogan is: Vengeance for the blood of Husain! O son of Shabib! My father narrated to me from his father from his grandfather عليهم السلام: Verily when my grandfather, Husain صلوات اللّه عليه was killed, the sky rained down blood and red dust. O son of Shabib! If you wept over Husain عليه السلام to the extent that your tears came onto your cheeks, Allah will forgive all of your sins which you have committed, minor or major, little or excessive. O son of Shabib! If you take pleasure in meeting Allah عز وجل while there is no sin over you, then visit Husain عليه السلام. O son of Shabib! If you take pleasure in residing in the erected chamber in Jannah along with the Prophet and his progeny صلوات اللّه عليهم, then curse the murderer of Husain. O son of Shabib! If you take pleasure in having a like of the reward of the one who was martyred with Husain عليه السلام, then whenever you mention him, say: How I wish I was with them! I would have attained a great victory! O son of Shabib! If you take pleasure in being with us in the highest stages of the Gardens, then grieve over our sorrow and be happy in our happiness. There's no point in saying that there is "no proof" for the existence of Imam al-Qa'im (as); we have thousands of ahadith speaking about him (before his birth, during his early childhood, during his minor ghayba, and what is expected when he returns). Moreover, there are almost as many ahadith which say that an Imam will remain on earth until the Day of Judgment. In fact, Sahih Muslim has the same hadith - that the Caliphate will remain on earth even if there were only two people left! Where's the Caliph now? You are forced to either say that this hadith is false, or give a new interpretation to the word Caliph; one that your Sunni predecessors probably would have disagreed with. The Imams (as) told us about his ghayba in detail, and told us who/what to trust when it occurs. But of course, you won't believe anything coming out of our books, because to you, al-Qa'im (as) doesn't exist, and somehow the thousands of ahadith that deal with him are simply all fabrications with 0 truth to them, which to me, is absolutely ridiculous. You have ONE hadith which says Dajjal is chained up on an island, and because of that, you believe in his lively existence. And yet, all these ahadith of al-Qa'im aren't enough for you. Even if we had his photograph and signature, you'd probably still be in disbelief.

Iran, Syria and Lebanon are the only ones in the Middle East with their heads screwed on and this has been planned for years. It's nothing new. How much is Mossad paying you? :shifty: You speak of wanting to save the Syrian Muslims ... are you that close minded? Do you not see who is creating this in the first place or do you need a reality check? Is it hard for you people to separate truth from falsehood or are you THAT brainwashed? You zionist supporting puppets are advocating peace and justice for all when your countries are the ones that are sending the underground soldiers weapons and dirty money to kill innocent people, and put Bashar's name in it all. Go troll somewhere else because you clearly need to be filtered from western and zionist filth. You should know the defenition of that one. Your 3 homeboys haven't taught you anything other than that, no?

  44. Another very easy recipe is Bolani. Make the mixture overnight and assemble before going to school. You can fill it with potatoes, pumpkin, spinach, lentils or onions. For potato filling: Boil 2 poatoes and mash them. Add 1 cup chopped green onion and 1 cup chopped green coriander. Add salt+ pepper. Lay this on half of the tortilla and flip it close to form a semi circle. Seal the edges with a paste of flour+water. Fry both sides till brown. Take this to school with a yogurt dip. You can prepare the different mixtures the same way.

isn't it a wonder you knocked at our doors just yesterday, and you're almost leaving by today; You came with blessings in abundance, and goin away with it leavin us in a trance; O holy month of Ramadhan, you came to purify man, You cleansed aplenty of those with sin, pity for the one who didn't win; The glorious gift of heaven, forever to abide there-in; Lucky are those who have been forgiven, unlucky the ones left barren; pray we be among the lucky ones, to be with the chosen ones; on the day of respite, may our deeds be our pride...

Why don't you comment on the so-called Muslim leaders of the UAE who live in palaces and use gold-plated toilets? There are a MILLION things we could mention wrong with the Gulf Arab kingdoms. And out of everything, you choose Islamic hotels? Honestly, is there any favorable view you have toward Islam? If not, why live a lie? Just convert. Or if none of the other religions appeal to you, become a deist, or an agnostic, or an atheist. Why continue to be Muslim when it is clear that you hold Islam (and everything related to it) in contempt?
