Her Hurricane
habib e najjaar and one other reacted to **merciful** for a topic
Her hurricane There was once a world I floated in that seemed dark, lonely, and suppressing A world deprived of people, nature, or any sign of life In that cave of flesh I grew older in size but stayed unchanged in wits It was a world quite yet unstill, A micro of the macro You lived in this world while I lived in yours The smile I had came from your countless frowns The laughs I enjoyed came from your endless tears The hurricane of life was your abode Constantly dodging the debris that came your way Debris of conflict, upbringing and pain But me, there I was secure and so sane in a cave that distanced and impeded profane Not an once reached me, not a voice I heard Kept in stability while the outside of me turned In warmth and shelter I was cuddled in, but little did I know I’m in a hurricane A hurricane of sleepless hours, determination that devours, shatters skies and destroys towers, levels anguish like bright flowers You were that resistance that swore to never stop, striving and struggling to reach the top And then came the moment The moment which gave meaning and reason to all that pain And made ok that hurricane You may have cried, screamed, and suffered but now all that is just a passing cloud The joy becomes a wave streaming like a rush of adrenalin, leaving you like you never frowned In your world now is no one, but its single resident in your hands A world that existed for only 9 month, but months that led me to who I am today Never will I forget that world I was in I look back and say… who knew from there all things will begin You oh mother, are my origin. -Ali2 points -

Oh My Dear Husain - Ali Al-najjar
habib e najjaar and one other reacted to Hameedeh for a topic
(bismillah) (salam) Recited by: Ali Al-Najjar and Mohamed Al-Najjar. Lyrics can be found below. The 40th [Arbaeen] marks an important turning point in the movement of Kerbala. This day, which is no less important to the day of Aashura is important for many reasons -- the prime being that the Ahlu'l Bayt reached the land of Kerbala on this day and performed the visitation to Sayyid ash-Shuhada al-Husain and the loyal family and friends who gave their life for the cause of Islam. Oh my dear Hussein, Oh my dear Hussein, Oh my dear Hussein, Oh my dear... - - - Words cannot express the tragedy your family went through They were dragged from land to land until they couldn't continue They were beaten mercilessly, by the devils and wicked They were disregarded and shunned, but wallah they stayed patient Oh my dear Hussein, Oh my dear Hussein, Oh my dear Hussein, oh my dear... - - - On the fortieth we mourn of what happened, and what went on The scent of jennah and justice, the moon of hashim has gone The universe was in chaos, everything turned upside down Every joyful person distressed, and people running around Oh my dear Hussein, Oh my dear Hussein, Oh my dear Hussein, oh my dear... - - - Your perfection was just so clear, people were filled with envy Shaitain whispered into their hearts, and wiped out all their mercy They forgot the promise they made, and all the lies that they said Prophet Muhammad, turned against...and all of his kin lay dead Oh my dear Hussein, Oh my dear Hussein, Oh my dear Hussein, oh my dear... - - - Today we stand with bleeding hearts, loyal and chanting your name Please give us strength to carry on, and to fulfill your pure aim We as Shia will make you proud, wallah oh blessed martyr With humble hearts we turn to you, Hussein oh cherished master Oh my dear Hussein, Oh my dear Hussein, Oh my dear Hussein, oh my dear... - - - You had one wish before you died, to see us rise and become An Ummah with respect and hope, and be united as one You did not die without reason, it was to prevail Islam The love of Fatima you are, and of our holy Imam Oh my dear Hussein, Oh my dear Hussein, Oh my dear Hussein, oh my dear... - - - Zainab crying for her brother, "Oh Hussein come back to us!" "Restore order to the campground, and please fulfill your one trust" "In agony we wail and cry, when will you return to us?" "Oh Hussein please understand this, wallah our hearts are now crushed " Oh my dear Hussein, Oh my dear Hussein, Oh my dear Hussein, oh my dear...2 points -

Hejsanvejsan, I don't like the idea of the brass rings that the Paduang women wear in Thailand and neighboring countries that makes their necks longer. However, I'm not going to be ethnocentric about it and demand there be "change" simply because that is THEIR culture and THEIR business, none of mine. I have no right to force them to think differently. Now please...leave us be. I have no idea what your obsession is with Hezbollah? If you think they are another one of those Al-Qaida types then you are certainly wrong. If Hezbollah was an ethnocentric group, they would impose their cultural values onto their Christian and Greek neighbors, but they do not. Respect.2 points

The Actual Relatonship Among The 4 Caliphs (ra)
Rasul and one other reacted to Praetorius for a topic
(salam) The OP has not even understood the verses you quoted about Aisha and Hafsa regarding the incident of the honey. Sunnis can never give us a straight answer when it comes to this event, because it smashes their idol Aisha into pieces. They cannot even explain in a straightforward manner as to why Umar the apostate denied the Prophet (pbuh) pen and paper to write down his will, also known as the Calamity of Thursday. Add insult to injury, these events occurred when the Prophet (pbuh) was STILL ALIVE, and I don't think all the pages in world can fully document the crimes of these 4 Sunni idols (Abu Bakr, Omar, Uthman and Aisha) after the death of the Prophet (pbuh).2 points -

In Him I See...
Hameedeh reacted to **merciful** for a topic
In him I see… I don’t see a man simply mounting a horse I see the embodiment of faith mounting disbelief In his hand swerves not a sharpened sword But an unmatched religion sharpened to perfection Its not water that he wanted to retrieve and revive the dead tongues But the indication of life to revive our dead souls Is that the essence of Mohamed on the field? Or the manifestation of the purified ones It’s the inheritor of he who sacrificed a lamb And of he who split the sea, just like a dam Of the one who in a cradle said “God’s servant I am” He’s the strength of that warrior his father Ali And the heart of Mohamed sent as a mercy Thus in Karbalaa wasn’t just Hussain and Yazeed It was Abraham and his arch enemy Nimrud It was Moses and pharaoh that man of such crude It was Able and Cane the brothers of feud It was truth in its fullest combating falsehood Let the storms of hatred attack the sea of Husain The ship of salvation will always exude1 point -

How Would You Prove Muta?
Haydar Husayn reacted to alimohamad40 for a topic
salaam: I think you and hayder should both take it easy because you are both thinkers and capable of discussing things calmly so you can actually benefit hayder is gonna condemn your method due to what he perceives as inconsistencies so do not get emotional about it because thats very expected in such discussions one of you believes in the legality of a law and the other is disputing it so there is a conflict and its only logical to have dispute but don't let the dispute wreck your journey towards truth and your truth seeking mission. You are seeking truth and I can tell that you have dived deep in the quraan and I pray to god that the quraan opens up all the gates for you to understand what god wants inshallah. I encourage and solute your courage to challange your comfort zone and your review and critical analysis of things that people take for granted. the problem is you asked some thing simple. whats the proof from the quraan for the legality of muta? the answer is 4:24 all the muslim sects agree that it came down to legalize muta ( the sects who prohibit and the sects who allow it are all unanimous about this) this is well documented by many hadeeths and taken for granted by all muslims just like the way you took the four rakah of the isha prayer for granted Using your logic I can start an exact same topic as you and say " prove that isha is 4 rak3at using quraan only" and then I start claiming that you all failed to prove it from the quraan only so i will stop praying four i will do 6 instead!!!!! so the only logical opposition to mut3a is the sunnie opposition not your type of opposition your opposition is not backed up by any evidence because all the evidence agree that 4:24 sanctioned mut3a but the dispute between the Muslims is not about this its about whether that law stayed or got abrogated I made a documentary aimed at sunnier audience explaining this in details you can watch 4 parts :1 point -

LOL this is absurd. Why does homosexuality always get thrown in as a red herring and why do people always get accused of hating islam and the imams when there is a thread that someone doesn't agree with? Female circumcision has nothing to do with homosexuality, and circumcised females and uncircumcised females don't promote homosexuality. While male circumcision is mandatory in Islam, female circumcision is not. If a mature woman (notice I say mature woman because a woman's body changes constantly throughout her life) decides she wants to undergo vaginoplasty or clitoral reduction it is her choice....not another persons, it should be done under proper medical supervision, by an experienced doctor, and in a sanitary hospital setting.1 point -

I cant help the fact that most women are just utterly stupid when it comes to these things. Just shut it and get married to a good man who can take care of you, if you guys ever do mature, you shall thank me later. If you do not want to be mature about this, then I seriously hope you do not raise hell if your husband one day is repulsed by your nose or the few wrinkles you have developed.1 point

(wasalam) It's made from a leaf called Corchorus (mloukhiye in Arabic). It's cooked with chicken, onions, garlic and sometimes chilli and served with rice. It's originally an Egyptian recipe and they make it with rabbit, instead of chicken/meat and they also blend it sometimes. We tweaked it a little (and made it better of course :P) and now it's a favourite in every Lebanese home.1 point

Food For Thought

LOVE OF ALLAAH: Hazrat Eesa AS once passed by a young man who was watering the garden. The young man requested Hazrat Isa (Alaihis Salaam) to make Dua that Allah Ta’ala grants him an atom of His love. Hazrat Eesa AS replied, “You do not have the power within you to sustain an atom of His love.” The young man said, “Okay then request half an atom of His love.” Hazrat Eesa AS then made Dua to Allah Ta’ala to grant the young man half an atom of His love, and then went away. After a long time Hazrat Eesa AS passed by that road again and enquired about the young man. People told him that that young man had become insane and had gone to the mountains. Hazrat Eesa AS made Dua to Allah Ta’ala to make him meet the young man. He then saw the young man standing on a mountain and looking towards the sky. Hazrat Eesa AS greeted him but he remained silent. Hazrat Eesa AS asked, “Don’t you recognise me, I am Isa.” Allah Ta’ala then sent a revelation to Hazrat Eesa AS saying, “O Isa! That person who has even half an atom of My love, how can he listen to the voices of humans? By My Honour and Majesty! Even if you take a saw and cut him into two pieces he would not feel it.” Reference: Mukashifatul Quloob ---------------------------------------------------- EVERYTHING THERE IS FOR A REASON: A king was once passing along his way when he saw some animal droppings. And he saw some worms in those droppings. The thought came to his mind that there is no purpose behind the creation of these worms. They are useless, with no real job. Very soon thereafter he lost his eyesight. Being rich, he spent thousands of rands trying different treatments to restore his eyesight. All to no avail. Then it was mentioned to him that a certain pious Hakeem (natural medical practioner) was very good. The king sent for him. The Hakeem refused to go to the king and asked that the king come to him. On examining the king, the Hakeem prescribed a powder that was to be put in the king’s eyes three times a day. Gradually the king’s eyesight returned until he was fully cured. He went to the Hakeem with lavish gifts which the Hakeem refused. The king said, ‘At least tell me what you used in that wonderful medicine.’ The Hakeem replied that he used the worms which one finds in animal droppings. He dried them out, crushed them into powder and made the king apply that to his eyes. The king bowed his head in submission to Allah, Who created every atom with a definite purpose. Never look down on any creation of Allah Ta’ala, for everything is there for a reason. The events that happen to us also have definite purpose. Every human is a valuable treasure who can benefit the world. ----------------------------------------------------1 point -
Why Is Adl (justice) Part Of Usool Ad-deen?
siraatoaliyinhaqqun reacted to Ugly Jinn for a topic
Where did I say that and what the heck are you talking about? You brought up awareness, not me. This thread is not discussing awareness but the inclusion of Adl in Articles of Faith. I'll repeat what I wrote above because you are not grasping the specifics of this topic: The Usool Ad-Deen (5) we have currently did not exist until centuries after the revelation of the Quran and occultation of the 12 Imam. The origin of the concept Usool Ad-Deen are fallibles (Mu'tazilah), which centuries later fallible scholars imitated/took to define the Usool Ad-Deen which currently exists. The fundamental Roots of Religion hasn't been clearly stated in the Quran, hence was defined centuries later by fallible scholars. To complete the concept of Usool Ad-Deen hadiths are needed, hence Quran's revelation was not enough to define the fundamental Roots of Religion. The need of fallible Hadiths to complete Usool Ad-Deen equates to a concept which logically cannot be given 100% divine seal.1 point -

There are surgeons who will do various degrees of female circumcision for ritual, but it is hard to do on a small child as the tissue is very small and there are many connectives and nerves that can be damaged by mistake. Many doctors know enough that they are not willing to take this risk. I would not take this risk with my daughter with the possible complications. I dont know a parent who would. No I dont agree. I was pointing out the absurdity of the arguments put forward to potentially damage a girl for life. Too many things can go wrong and do. There is absolutely no reason to do this.1 point

The previous and the current governments of Egypt both allowed the presence of Israeli embassy; only the government can tell diplomats to leave and ask them to close down their embassy. They can protest in front of the embassy and their own foreign ministry to ask them to leave...that is a better way!1 point -

if Allah wills he will appoint a shareek Associate with himself ? if Allah will he can kill himself and stop existing ? if Allah wills he can limit himself and come in the shape of jesus christ ? If Allah wills he can divide himself into two entities? NO allahs only limitation is himself , this means he doesnt contradict himself he is one so he can not be two he is infinite so he can not be Finite so he has the description of full knowledge so he will not give that to anyone but unfortunately our friends are saying the imams have the complete knowledge of the unseen which was supposed to be exclusive for god and they justify it by saying " god wanted that" god does not contradict himself and he prohibited association so why would he take an associate ? salaam allahs only limitation is himself which means Allah1 point -

Time is relative to space. Space and time were both created with by the big bang. Our understanding of time is confined to this universe which is the only existence we know of. Unless we come to know of other realities outside this universe we cant know what time it was (on a multiverse scale perhaps) when the big bang happened. After the judgement day a existence will be created, the new reality is said to be forever. In heaven people will remain forever in contentment. In hell the damned will suffer forever. In different universes the laws of nature will be different.1 point

You know why it is important for us to become students of the school of Ja'far Ibn Mohammed Al Saddiq (as) You know why we say: "There are no years like yours Oh Musa Ibn Ja'far Al Kadhim (as)".
