    My Observations And Advice

(salam) brother MysticKnight, I can see that you now attack the Qur'aan with fervour. You used to defend this Holy Book once. Something must have really gone wrong somewhere. I do not ask you to accept my opinion or change your opinion. But I see a terrible flaw in your methodology against the Qur'aan. You judge the Qur'aan through your personal understandings. This is the problem, brother. The Qur'aan itself has stated: هُوَ الَّذِي أَنْزَلَ عَلَيْكَ الْكِتَابَ مِنْهُ آيَاتٌ مُحْكَمَاتٌ هُنَّ أُمُّ الْكِتَابِ وَأُخَرُ مُتَشَابِهَاتٌ ۖ فَأَمَّا الَّذِينَ فِي قُلُوبِهِمْ زَيْغٌ فَيَتَّبِعُونَ مَا تَشَابَهَ مِنْهُ ابْتِغَاءَ الْفِتْنَةِ وَابْتِغَاءَ تَأْوِيلِهِ ۗ وَمَا يَعْلَمُ تَأْوِيلَهُ إِلَّا اللَّهُ ۗ وَالرَّاسِخُونَ فِي الْعِلْمِ يَقُولُونَ آمَنَّا بِهِ كُلٌّ مِنْ عِنْدِ رَبِّنَا ۗ وَمَا يَذَّكَّرُ إِلَّا أُولُو الْأَلْبَابِ {7} [shakir 3:7] He it is Who has revealed the Book to you; some of its verses are decisive, they are the basis of the Book, and others are allegorical; then as for those in whose hearts there is perversity they follow the part of it which is allegorical, seeking to mislead and seeking to give it (their own) interpretation. but none knows its interpretation except Allah, and those who are firmly rooted in knowledge say: We believe in it, it is all from our Lord; and none do mind except those having understanding. There are allegorical verses in the Qur'aan. Allaah is the Knower of the "interpretation" of the Quraa'n as a whole. But, Allaah has taught His Prophet (pbuh) these interpretation of the whole Qur'aan: وَأَنزَلْنَا إِلَيْكَ الذِّكْرَ لِتُبَيِّنَ لِلنَّاسِ مَا نُزِّلَ إِلَيْهِمْ وَلَعَلَّهُمْ يَتَفَكَّرُونَ [al-hilali and khan 16:44] And We have also sent down unto you (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه و سلم) the Dhikr [reminder and the advice (i.e. the Qur'an)], that you may explain clearly to men what is sent down to them, and that they may give thought. It also states: وَمَا أَنزَلْنَا عَلَيْكَ الْكِتَابَ إِلَّا لِتُبَيِّنَ لَهُمُ الَّذِي اخْتَلَفُوا فِيهِ ۙ وَهُدًى وَرَحْمَةً لِّقَوْمٍ يُؤْمِنُونَ [al-hilali and khan 16:64] And We have not sent down the Book (the Qur'an) to you (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه و سلم), except that you may explain clearly unto them those things in which they differ, and (as) a guidance and a mercy for a folk who believe. So, the Qur'aan, by its own words, has interpretation, and its designated interpreter: the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh). You may not agree with my assessments above. But what matters MOST is that the Qur'aan claims itself to contain allegorical verses, and that its own true meanings are known only through the Prophet (pbuh). You cannot deny these facts. You may disagree with the Quraan. But this is what it has said about itself. The correct methodology would have been for you to completely AVOID using your own personal interpretations to judge the Qur'aan. That is an unfair method. Aboo Ya'laa in his Musnad, vol. 9, p. 80, # 5149 records that the Prophet (pbuh) said: إن القرآن نزل على سبعة أحرف لكل آية منها ظهر وبطن Verily, the Quraa'n was revealed upon seven ahruf. For every verse in it is an apparent meaning and a hidden meaning. Husayn Saleem Asad, the annotator, says: إسناده صحيح Its chain is Saheeh. In all honesty, is it fair to just take random verses of such a book, attribute interpretations to them based upon personal wishes, and then condemn it for that? This is just my little observation. And thanks for the understanding.

  3. In a shawl woven with love, a tiny baby is wrapped, Then the tenderest of kisses cover him, The moment is heartbreaking, but it cannot be delayed, As his parched lips part again and again, Seeking to be quenched. The mother whispers as he leaves; 'Will I see you again O Ali Asghar? Will you return to me alive?' After the thundering hooves of beasts have gone, And the clouds of dust settle down, I see burning tents; Distraught women and children running about. One calls out: 'Uncle Abbaas! Where are you? Do you see what they are doing?' Only the roaring Euphrates murmurs a reply, 'Abbaas can only witness... can only witness with tears' Ya Abbaas... will we see you again? In Shaam the time has come to part, This 'freedom' comes at a price: Sweet Sakinah will not come along Her fragrant body will remain in the dungeons, The darkness where she spent her last moments, whispering, 'Father, when will I see you again? Ali Asghar, when will I see you again?' Sakinah.. when will we see you again? At the rushing shores of the Euphrates, Where loyalty and submission was epitomized, The tears flow freely, with no shame and the hearts bleed as they hear a whisper: 'Brother! Will I see you again? Answer me, will I see you again?' Baynul Haramayn, looking to the right then to the left, Torn between two brothers, Between master and slave, Madinah beckons, and the sad tidings must be borne Yet you cannot answer my call any more, 'Masters, will you come visit me? May I visit you again? When will I see you again?' S.A

(salam) bro Ya Aba I think it's futile to post that video, because people in denial like Mr. Fink and Mr. Isilurian clearly don't want to delve deeper into the matter nor ask questions, even when you have not tens, not hundreds, but THOUSANDS of scientists and architects banding together and risking their career to testify how false the official report on 9/11 was. But, may Allah bless you all the more for exposing this video to me and others. Wasalam

  7. I didn't mean they are literally intending to do sajda to him, but essentially they are imitating the same act they would as they do in sajida after salat. The forehead is the place of sajda, so why do that to his hand? But I noticed folks doing all sorts of strange things like this. Like when (I think it was) Jawadi Amoli came to lead salat at the school I was at, the students were mobbing him afterwards, such as taking his cloak and rubbing their face in it. Note, he didn't seem at all comfortable to me with the mobbing. But it got me thinking, if they will do such things to a regular scholar, how in the world would they conduct themselves in front of the Ma`sumeen?! Before we derail too much, will say I loved that snippet of the OP's video with the Sayyid withdrawing his hand like that.

  11. Farid (Lord Botta) versus Walid (Wasil - Zurarah) Farid (Lord Botta) is a Russain, stayed in Sharjah. U.A.E. for many years. Learned Arabic there and then migrated to Bahrain. There he adopted the Wahhabi religion and was given the citizenship of Bahrain. To know more about both Farid (Lord Botta) and Wasil (Zurarah), see this link: http://www.shiachat....-zurarah-wasil/ Brother Wasil was loved and is loved in ShiaChat and was/is supported by many. May Allah bi haqe Mohammad wa alhe Mohammad give good to brother Wasil in this life and afterlife. May Allah to increase his knowledge so that he can spread the true love of AhlulBayt (as.) Wa'Salam.

  12. (salam), Listen dudes, There's no point in starting a million threads in which sisters (feminists) are pushing their monogamy agendas while the men (mu3mins) are trying to revive the sunnah of the ahlul-bayt.To all the females crying here and ranting about polygamy, guess what! theres nothing you can do about it...deal with it. There's no such thing as intellectual discussions on this topic, polygamy is allowed, secret mutahs are allowed and none of them have to be disclosed to you by your husbands, so honestly deal with it, deal with islam, thats how it is. Stop crying already woow.

  15. (bismillah) The problem with this question is there is this presumption that we can "measure" holiness. What the heck does that mean? Yes, there's more fadhl in my pray if I pray it in the haram of Makka, but then I know the immense emphasis and reward Visiting the ma`sumeen (as). And there are traditions that state Karbala was created first and were it not for Karbala, there would be no Ka`ba. But then Ka`ba has the (symbolic) house of God, inside of which Imam `Ali [as] was born and the birth city of Rasulullah (pbuh) and other noble figures (ra). This question to measure "more holy" is overall worthless and impossible. في أمان الله

  16. (salam) Why is it that if a hadith is attributed to the Prophet pbuh in one of the sahih Sunni collections that goes against shia beliefs it’s labelled as a fabrication, but if it’s from a sahabi such as Abu Bakr, Umar etc regarding something that portrays them in a negative or critical way then it’s definitely true? For example – Prophet says “the best after me is Abu Bakr” – fabrication attributed to the Holy Prophet (pbuh) Ibn Umar says “keep your pledge with Yazid” – clear nasibi, etc. If they are in the same book, why is it impossible to consider that this was a lie attributed to ibn Umar? (the historical aspects are irrelevant because other notable personalities also gave bayah to Yazid). I also appreciate that there may be a number of narrations relating a particular hadith, but that would mean we should also accept all mutawatir narrations from sunni sources. I’ve put this here because I’d like to know if people here think sahabas are guilty of everything they’re accused of, since there’s two sides to every story (actually three sides; your side, their side, and the truth). Any thoughts?

does anyone else just break out laughing at the idea that the US govt would shoot a missile at its own defense building? hahahaha ok ok. sorry, it had to be added to the discussion. and just to keep that last post bumped up, because im interested in a response. Yes a plane hit the pentagon too. I mean really, think about it. If an AA plane didnt hit the pentagon, dont you think their organization would say something? Or do you believe that their company was part of the conspiracy too? How about the airports themselves? Were they part of the conspiracy too? You have the people, the airliners, the employees at both airports (2 not including the other planes), the owners of the planes, on top of that we have president bush shooting missiles at his own building, and controlled demolitions. I mean, if this is all truly a conspiracy theory, about 100 thousand people are probably involved and they all must have been too bone headed to think of an easier plan. This is a country in which the government can pass laws to economically tear those buildings down in a week, let alone would it waste time shooting missiles and paying off thousands of people. Maybe this shadow government paid off twenty thousand people and locked the others in guantanamo bay? :P i mean really, lets use our brain here.

    New Sayyid Sistani Video

Bro, you got me wrong. I'm in no way suggesting he did it for the camera. I'm sure he cares more about Allah's eye watching him than a camera. This man is so pious that when we met him, he refused to hear the voice of a woman and made them write their questions. So I would never insult him. All I was saying is that he's not withdrawing his hand because it's not permissible to kiss it. This is because he allowed us to kiss his hand last year. Maybe he's withdrawing his hand in this video out of extra humility, regardless of whether the camera is there or not. Like I said, his level of piety that I witnessed suggests he doesn't care about cameras but only cares about God.

    9.11 Exposed

Doesn't matter bro, we win either way. There's advantages to saying it was Saudis that did 9/11, because they're the hub of terror against the Shia and against the decent Sunnis and righteous men and women, yet the US needs Riyadh as much as Riyadh needs the US since they both use Terror to control the Middle East, and to use as an excuse for the 'War on Terror', so blaming Riyadh helps shift public opinion against the Terrorists (Riyadh / Washington / Tel Aviv). Secondly, although you'd get some hard heads, don't be dissuaded, coz most will really wonder about WC7, the evidence is clear as day, most people aren't moronic enough to believe a common fire (no jet fuel, nothing) brought down WC7. Can you imagine, if office fires could bring down whole buildings? lol, what a joke. But for the sake of those innocent victims dying due to the so called 'War on Terror', those being slaughtered by drone strikes, those that were killed by the hands of terrorists in iraq and the 9/11 victims, the issue of WC7 must be propagated. The video already has half a million views, and 5,764 likes, 202 dislikes, which might say a lot. The commoners following ae911truth.org are growing and growing by the day.

If men have _______ fetish, you would give up ______. Really LIBERATING sister, I guess all the Feminists and Islamists, would eat you alive with this thinking. And since when MEN's approval (by their fetish in this case) became so much of an issue for modern, educated, career oriented women? Do you see the flaw in your thinking? Are all your decisions about your personal self so dictated by MEN's thinking.

  26. as iv stated before, some one without great knowledge of hadith, teachings of our imams, and indepth knowledge of history of arabia at the time, cannot simply take out verses and try and dictate that there are contradictions in the quran, some verses have 70 levels of interpretation, our great scholars of faith, such as the iyatullahs, spend their life dedicated to islam, and still do not understand fully the message of the holy quran, when imam mahdi as, returns they will teach us the whole meaning, i pray for everyone to come to the right of islam, as Allah sbwts mercy has no limits, and Allah sbwt will guide who is willing to be guided (bismillah)

  27. I went to hashemstudios and was surprised at how easily ppl pledge allegiance based on 2? Main ahadeeth .. 1. That yamani name is Ahmed 2. That he will carry a sword on his shoulder 8 months. 3. His uncle is also called Ahmed (there r like millions of people called Ahmed with an uncle Ahmed or? .. To me this is no evidence, although let me stress that I hope I'm wrong, and that the real yamani is out of the closet. I don't see how these 3 ahadeeth prove anything. And him not being Yemeni (except in his supposed relation to prophet pbuh who supposedly said he is Yemeni) Another Hadith that was used us is from Kafi. Dear brothers and sisters please tell me. (I think it is #373??) .. it says that apparently nobody will claim to be yamani until it's him .. Is that true? Sorry if i missed out on you guys discussing it earlier .. Just didn't even bother until I found people (who sound much like people here) on hashinstudios putting a.s. After ahmd Hassan name and referring to him as an imam .. That is something completely new to me .. How easily people give that title to people .. Without them even doing anything or saying anything .. subhan Allah .. I don't know much (hardly anything about the yamani .. So plz forgive me) .. But this movement can be dangerous .. May Allah reveal to us the truth. (salam)

  28. If I recall there is a member on ShiaChat who doesn't believe in giving women power of attorney over themselves. In many situations it wouldn't be necessary for her to execute this power because the co-wife is easy to get along with and fair. Let us face it....you can't control how the other person acts and whatever happens in one wife's household usually flows into the other household....so if by chance the new co-wife is a manipulative trouble maker (someone told me about her co-wife sending her a douche, deodorant, and spreading rumors around the community that she has a secret boyfriend behind their husbands back but the man didn't believe her) and the husband is weak for her and refuses to put his foot down, this power of attorney gives the first wife some leeway to remove herself from the bad situation and save her sanity.

  30. Can we skip the hyperemotional anecdotes? This is not how one carries out a rational conversation about a general subject. This woman's (To a large extent self-generated) situation is her own, and no general lesson can be derived from it that applies in a blanket sense to everyone else. The only lesson you can draw is that if you are in such a situation, don't marry a second. But this is not news. This is the well known Islamic principle. This man was foolish; he should have known better, and whatever sheikh formalized the second marriage should have known better and talked him out of it. But that's as far as lessons learned go. "OMG that is an extreme situation -> it generates intense emotional reactions from me -> therefore conversation closed" is not a valid argument in the rational world. There are so many particularities about this woman's situation that make it worthless as an exemplar for this issue. -Why in the world did this woman allow herself to have so many children? Last time I heard, getting pregnant takes two. She has heard of birth control? -While muta'as can be theoretically undertaken in secret and without permission of the first wife, this sounds like a nikah. Maybe she should have spoken up ahead of time and used some influence to prevent the second marriage from taking place if she knew her husband was not in a position to handle it. 1. Who said we here were looking to put it into practice? 2. Who are you to know what our circumstances are even if we were? It's a case by case for every situation. It's not for all. But it definitely is for some. Everyone has to make the call for himself based on realistic assessment and reflection with counsel from friends and family.

Well as far as i understood, (and i know more than anyone else i have very little science, so please correct me if you see i'm wrong), hajj is wajib/obligatory on you when the conditions to make it are reunited (regards to money -whether of student or from family-, and managing to stay in mecca/madinah and come back home while keeping enough money at home for wife to take care of kids, having a break from work/study to go to hajj, family does not need you for this period, and finally if you really apply to hajj through a hajj travel agency -i tested 2-: getting a hajj visa). And thus if it became wajib/obligatory for you at year X (let's say 2011/1432AH,) and you don't make it in 2011, then it becomes wajib for you 2012/1433AH, 2013/1434AH, 2014/1435AH, 2015/1436AH,... and so on UNTIL you completed your obligatory "once-a-lifetime" hajj... And then as far as i know, if you die before completing your obligatory hajj while it became wajib for you (like after waiting at least the "next" hajj season) like for "laziness" or "not feeling ready" for it, then you have sinned. As far as i know, the ziyara is NOT wajib, as you can do a ziyara from distance, all the Infallibles will still respond to your salam and to your ziyarat. But as we feel, we can't claim real love and not trying to visit the Infallibles in their cities... Can you support this by hadith or quran? And finally, my duaas while we approach the hajj season: May Allah grant us the Hajj of his Bayt-al-Haraam For this aaam (year) and for every aaam And the ziyarat of his Prophet and the Imams alayhum al-salaam Çááøåã ÇÑÒÞäÇ ÍÌ ÈíÊß ÇáÍÑÇã ÚÇãäÇ åÐÇ æ Ýí ßá ÚÇã ÒíÇÑÉ äÈíß æ ÇáÃÆãÉ Úáíåã ÇáÓáÇã æ Úáíßã ÇáÓáÇã æ ÑÍãÉ Çááå æ ÈÑßÇÊå - And upon you be Peace as well as Allah's Mercy and Blessings...

  36. (bismillah) (salam) Last July, Press TV showed an 80 minute documentary called Checkpoint, in three parts, on three consecutive days. I looked for the film at youtube, but it wasn't there. Tonight I searched again and it is there now. Documentary filmmaker Yoav Shamir filmed the Israel Defense Forces who stop people at the checkpoints in Palestine. Dozens of checkpoints are located in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip, at the entrance to all Palestinian cities and in between every village. This documentary is about those checkpoints and how the people are treated by the IDF who operate the checkpoints. This is heartbreaking and it is only Part 1. If you go to youtube and type the words Yoav Checkpoint in the search box, you will find more episodes. Some are in French and other languages. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EuOKRTDb9TM

Haha, my bad, I did think that was the case but I wasn't too sure :squeez: I think you've praised me a little to highly there and I do hope that Inshallah I can become the sort of person you have described! I think at certain points I may have came across as sounding somewhat arrogant (which I do regret) hence why little knowledge can be so harmful! :!!!: I am though, trying to correct my ways and be a better example of the followers of the Ahlullbayt (Inshallah) and speak more humbly and realise that not everyone may see things the way I do. Sadly, its only after when you reflect on these things that you realise things could be said in a better way. I don't know why I'm explaining this (neither do you I suppose), but I just felt like I was being admired for something that I didn't do which made me feel a tad guilty.. But I will be trying my best!! And I agree with you I think we should set good examples so people will be attracted to the path of the Ahlullbayt and that we should teach them about it (nicely!) if they want to be taught. ^_^

  42. Salam :) Well. realistically, actually DEFINITELY Mecca, and the kaaba are holly-ER than Karbalaa and the shrine of Imam Hussein. However, the Imam's shrine and Karbalaa are holly. Islam in general would value Mecca and Kaaba a whole lot more than karbalaa and all, and let us not forget that Mecca is the house of Allah ÓÈÍÇäå æÊÚÇáì, however, a lot of Shiites would kind of (dont get me wrong) appreciate and value Karbalaa and the Shrine of Imam Hussein, because it makes us who we are (Shiites), and Karbalaa is where the Infallibles died for the sake of islam. If you get what i mean... However, Kaaba and Mecca are definitely a lot more valued and holly. - God Bless :)

Im sorry I didnt mean to offend you .. thats why I said "Its a difficult question .. let me give you a typical answer you would probably get" As for the "worshipping the black stone" .. we muslims do not worship a black stone we pray towards that stone. As for the "real muslims" on the site .. let Allah (swt) be the judge of that and not you. Again as I said before I didnt mean to offend/upset you but like I said aswell earlier its a typical answer you would probably get. inshaAllah you forgive me, if you wish I will delete my post.

  44. Why do the women in threads about Mutah and Polygamy always assume defensive positions as if someone has launched some anti-feminist bombshells onto their territory? Why is it so hard to accept that there are men who can handle polygamous marriages, as well as his wives living together quite harmoniously? The Prophet (pbuh) married more than 10 wives, and while some of them (obviously Aisha and co.) gave him a real hell as far as the relations among one other were concerned, most of them coexisted very happily and peacefully... What's the big problem?

    Zurarah = Wasil

I find it sad that even those that have finally began to accept that Zurarah is Wasil do not condemn him for his actions. Instead of condemning him, you'd rather use this opportunity to attack me. Ironically, attacking me will not make the charge go away. He did lie about his identity and I find it sickening that you would rather support a Shia who lied simply because you consider him knowledgeable. Let us see what Ja'afar Al-Sadiq has to say: Baab Al-Yameen Al-Kathiba (Al-Kafi): A group of our companions --> Ahmad bin Mohammed --> Ibn Fidhal --> Tha'alaba bin Maymoon --> Ya'qoub Al-Ahmar --> Abu Abdullah said: "Whoever swears and knows that he is lying, he has declared war on Allah." ÚÏÉ ãä ÃÕÍÇÈäÇ¡ Úä ÃÍãÏ Èä ãÍãÏ¡ Úä ÇÈä ÝÖÇá¡ Úä ËÚáÈÉ Èä ãíãæä¡ Úä íÚÞæÈ ÇáÇÍãÑ ÞÇá: ÞÇá ÃÈæÚÈÏÇááå Úáíå ÇáÓáÇã: ãä ÍáÝ Úáì íãíä æåæ íÚáã Ãäå ßÇÐÈ ÝÞÏ ÈÇÑÒ Çááå ÚÒæÌá. Al-Majlisi said that the hadith is muwathaq and that "baraz Allah" means, that he has chosen to fight Allah publicly. ========= Macisaac asked in the previous page about why some of you defend him. The answer is simple. It is because the Shias here look up to him because of his arguments against Ahlul Sunnah, which is a terrible reason to respect someone with so little respect for himself. Wake up people. Would you follow someone with morals this low? He has admitted several times that he lacks in the morals department. How do you wish to inherit the knowledge of Ahlul Bayt from someone that didn't even learn their morals? There is a hadith from Saheeh Al-Bukhari that says, "Support your brother whether he is the oppressed or the oppressor." A man asked him, "I support him if he was oppressed, but how do I support him if he was the oppressor?" The Prophet (pbuh) said, "You stop him from oppressing others, for that is how one would support him." However, it seems as though most of the members here only accept the first part of the hadith, and attempt to support their brother even when he is lying. They chose to turn a blind eye to his lies and choose to attack the one who holds the truth. Shias, I'm not asking you to like me. I am asking you to be objective. If you don't want to condemn your brother, then stay out of the whole issue. Don't pat him on the back and support his wrong doings, for it will only cause him to lie more since he will believe that he will be able to get away with it.
