Hijab Fetish :)
BabyBeaverIsAKit and 2 others gave a reaction for a topic
Marbles and Jen, I must respectfully disagree with the sentiments. Marbles already alluded to this, but men who are sexually attracted to hijab are a minority, and if they were not we would see hijab (or even less foreign attempts at modesty.. like trousers) being used in advertising products on television rather than have the concept of hijab being used as a talking point on FOX news for why Muslim women are sexually repressed. Now there might be more Muslim men (especially in the West) who find themselves attracted to the idea of modesty and wish to marry a hijabiyah, but this doesn't really negate the principles of Islam so it isn't a reason to abandon hijab altogether. Then again, anyone who has gone so far as to have convinced themselves that most men would rather see a girl in modesty clothing and hijab than scantily clad is probably doing little more than rationalizing their own preexisting whims. You should never feel guilty of something that you do not consider a commandment of your Lord. If you do feel guilty and you turn to some random user on sc with a counter-intuitive fetish and fascinating theories on male and female sexuality for validation, then perhaps it is high time you turn back to the source of your beliefs and reexamine them.3 points -

(salam) (bismillah) A gift to my momin brothers and sisters. (41) وَاسْتَمِعْ يَوْمَ يُنَادِ الْمُنَادِ مِنْ مَكَانٍ قَرِيبٍ [Shakir 50:41] And listen on the day when the crier shall cry from a near place [Pickthal 50:41] And listen on the day when the crier crieth from a near place, [Yusufali 50:41] And listen for the Day when the Caller will call out from a place quiet near,- Now some people may claim that this is about the "cry of Israfeel (a.s)" but Quran clears in the very next verse. (42) يَوْمَ يَسْمَعُونَ ٱلصَّيْحَةَ بِٱلْحَقِّ ۚ ذَلِكَ يَوْمُ ٱلْخُرُوجِ [Shakir 50:42] The day when they shall hear the cry in truth; that is the day of coming forth. [Pickthal 50:42] The day when they will hear the (Awful) Cry in truth. That is the day of coming forth (from the graves). [Yusufali 50:42] The Day when they will hear a (mighty) Blast in (very) truth: that will be the Day of Resurrection. It is quite obvious that the translation by Yusufali is not compatible with arabic text as there is word of "kharooj" not "Qiyamat" (Resurrection).2 points -
Online Debating.
Gypsy and one other reacted to Shia_Debater for a topic
(bismillah) (salam) Over the past few weeks I have come across many online "debates" with sunnis and wahabbis. I am going to answer on whether we should debate with these people or not. Their Strategy 1) Start off by cursing, get the shia angry 2) Refute their points with ignorant and stupid comments 3) If number 2 doesnt work cuss them some more or if it works cuss them anyway 4) If its getting long and we look like we are losing, lets ban them Why Do We Debate? 3 reasons 1) To prove them wrong 2) To guide them to the right path 3) To defend our faith and beliefs 1. If you are debating just to prove someone wrong dont even bother. If your intentions arent good then its a waste of time. 2.If you are debating with them to guide them then I'm afraid you are in the wrong place. No one who is looking for guidance is going to go online and join a page that insults shias, its like going to a butchers and asking to buy flowers. 3.If you are there to defend our faith and beliefs then mashaAllah its good that you have good intentions, but from experience all it leads to is them cussing more and more and it does the opposite. I know this from first hand experience. What if they come to debate? Imam Hussein (as) replied to a man who said, ‘Sit down so we can debate about religion’ – ‘I am aware of my religion, and my path is clear for me. So, if you are ignorant about your religion then go and seek it. What do I have to do with disputation? Indeed the devil tempts a person and calls him, saying, ‘Debate with people regarding their religion so that they do not think of you as incapable and ignorant.’ Conclusion Do not get yourself involved in these debates .. As Imam Ali (as) said something along the lines of : Do not debate with someone ignorant, they will bring you down to their level and beat you with their ignorance. The only thing you will get out of debating with these people is : 1) Your time wasted 2) Frustrated 3) Increase of Hatred for others Surah 2 verse 6 : As to those who reject Faith, it is the same to them whether thou warn them or do not warn them; they will not believe. Let Allah (swt) guide the misguided. (wasalam)2 points -

You prostrate on dust, preferably the dust of Karbala. You pray 51 rik'as of prayers a day. You wear a ring on your right hand (i.e dhur al najaf, feiruz, ruby or emerald etc). You say Bism'illah Al Rahman Al Raheem before any act. You perform Ziarat Al Arba'een of Aba Abdillah عليه السلام. You know why we say Aliyon (as) Wali Allah s.w.t. You know why Imam Hassan Ibn Ali Al Mujtaba (as) signed a peace treaty with Mu'awiyah (l.a) and gave him the caliphate under conditions. You know that yazeed (l.a) was in the wrong at Karbala. You know why Hussein Ibn Ali - Sayed Al Shuhada2 (as) said to yazeed's army: "We Reject Humiliation!". You know of the rights within Risalat Al Huquq by: Ali Ibn Hussein Al Sajjad (as). You know why Mohammed Ibn Ali (as) said to the disbelievers: "Show me when God wasn't about and i'll show you when he came". You know why it is important for us to become students of the school of Ja'far Ibn Mohammed Al Saddiq (as) You know why we say: "There are no years like yours Oh Musa Ibn Ja'far Al Kadhim (as)". You know why we call Ali Ibn Musa Al Ridha (as): "Ghareeb Al Ghuraba2", and you remember that he said: "I am one of the conditions of La Illaha Il Allah". You know why a sunni said to Mohammed Ibn Ali Al Jawad (as): "I have now joined the school of the Ahlul Bayt (a)". You know why Ali Ibn Mohammed Al Hadi (as) was not attacked when he sat in a cage with several lions. You remember that Al Hassan Ibn Ali Al Askari (as) while he was in prison ate and drank two loaves of bread and cold water every day for two years straight. You Recognise that Al Hujjat Ibn Al Hassan (a.t.f.s) is waiting for us and we are not waiting for him.2 points -
Fetishes are borne out of things forbidden, the principle being that when you hide something it makes it more appealing, so you could argue that the hijab creates interest rather than deflects it, especially in a society where the norm is to be much more immodest, its almost kinky. The level of immodesty is so great in the west you dont need to wear a head covering to look modest, infact covering your hair makes no difference culturally in the west; women wear bandana's over their hair all the time and its not seen as an act of modesty. Wearing high necklines, long sleeves and long dresses is seen as an act of modesty, esp in warmer weather, and to appear immodest you have to have your belly hanging out and your boobs virtually on show. So 'modesty' is has a cultural context to it.2 points

Salam brother, I know you are aware of difference between the two schools. But I have two questions for you, and it doesn't have to do with Sunni and Shia. 1. Do you believe that the Prophet died without appointing a successor and he didn't realize the consequences of his actions? 2. That both abu Bakr and Omar realized the failing of the Prophet and realized the dire necessity of appointing a successor, and left his warm but unburied body to appoint one? The above are very simple questions and I hope you answer them simply without beating around the bush.2 points

Is Karbala Holier Than Mecca?
Abu Nur and one other reacted to Abu Tufayl for a topic
(bismillah) The problem with this question is there is this presumption that we can "measure" holiness. What the heck does that mean? Yes, there's more fadhl in my pray if I pray it in the haram of Makka, but then I know the immense emphasis and reward Visiting the ma`sumeen (as). And there are traditions that state Karbala was created first and were it not for Karbala, there would be no Ka`ba. But then Ka`ba has the (symbolic) house of God, inside of which Imam `Ali [as] was born and the birth city of Rasulullah (pbuh) and other noble figures (ra). This question to measure "more holy" is overall worthless and impossible. في أمان الله2 points -

Raised Muslims Have Begun To Irritate Me
ishq ast abul fazl reacted to Saintly_Jinn23 for a topic
I felt it necessary to type this up for some of my fellow Shia here. First of all, I'd like to state that I mean this not as a personal attack on any particular user here on the forums or towards Muslims who were lucky enough to born into Muslim families and raised as Muslims since birth. I mean well by what I say here and only hope that some of the "Raised Muslim" people and users will see that some attitudes perpetuated by them are causing considerable damage to the iman of reverts and the growth of Islam itself in the long run. People should know that I was not fortunate enough to be raised in a Muslim family, rather I was raised in a Christian household of unbelievers. I was taught that Jesus was God and that the Bible was the infallible word and law of God. Eventually I came to ask questions about the things I was being taught; simple questions like "Why?" "How?" or "Are you sure?" Some of the answers I got were sufficient for me and others I found unsatisfying. Eventually, as I searched for better answers to those questions puzzling me due to insufficient answers, I found the answers Islam had to offer to be the most pleasing to my logic and understanding which in turn brought a certain peace to my soul. Now, I feel that the peace has been disrupted and it is pertinent that I point out to my fellow Muslims that the unrest has arisen primarily due to some of the attitudes and disposition of some of our brothers and sisters who were raised in Muslims families and have been Muslim they're whole lives. It seems, at least to me, like around some Muslims who were raised in Muslim households, we converts from other faiths are treated as lesser Muslims. In part due to our previous affiliation with another opposing faith and in part due to our habit of asking questions concerning what we are told. When during a serious theological or jurisdictional discussion it is revealed that we are reverts from another religion besides Islam, suddenly our statements and knowledge is no longer trusted and any difference we may have in opinion concerning an Islamic topic of discussion is regarded as a product of our being raised as Christians, or Jews, or Hindus, or Buddhists, or whatever and therefore not worth listening. Another problem is that I feel that the Raised-Muslims look down on our asking "Why?" or "How do you know?" a lot. If someone brings forth a certain hadith, tafsir, or fiqh ruling, and we reverts question it when we have trouble understanding it so that we may receive clarification as to the authenticity or meaning of that interpretation or tradition, we seem to be chastised as "rebels" or "questioning the Ahlul Bayt and Sunnah," when all we are asking for is knowledge to guide us aright. On the first matter, I feel like Raised-Muslims assume that we have nothing to teach them from our own experiences in other faiths and cultures. It seems like the Raised-Muslims expect us to seek advice from them and learn by their hands, but generally have no interest in the knowledge we have from our past lifestyles in areas that they are unfamiliar with. For example, because I was raised in a Christian household, I know the Bible pretty well, as well as different Christian and Jewish apocryphal books and traditions. I don't feel like Raised-Muslims are generally interested in applying this knowledge to Islam and putting it to use within the faith. Sure, when a supposed contradiction in the Bible is mentioned, they're all ready to argue with the unbelieving Jews and Christians as though they are Biblical scientists or something, but when we reverts seek to teach certain traditions that we have kept from our pasts that we see no apparent contradiction or falsehood in treating them as Islamic practices, we are either looked at as oddities or innovators rather than being asked why we have done so in an effort to ascertain whether the traditions we have kept can truly be considered Islamic practices and/or beliefs that are independent of the falsehood we have abandoned. For example, if a Buddhist converts to Islam, but still chooses to honor the Buddha as an authority sent by the same God who sent Muhammad (pbuh), integrating certain ancient Buddhist customs with the typical customs associated with the Middle Eastern Muslims, I don't get the feeling the raised Muslims show any genuine interest and if anything are averse to such behavior. Instead of saying "Hmm, maybe he knows something we don't know," I feel like the typical response is "He's still attached to his old religion and hasn't fully embraced Islam. All the knowledge one needs is what is with us and has been with us since we were children so there's no need to read or profess belief in anything else with them as he does." This completely misses the point, when we reverts do things like this, it's not because we feel that standard doctrines and ritual are "insufficient," it's only that we feel these customs and this knowledge is but the foundation of a much larger structure with many different rooms and floors that have their own distinctive traits but are still part of the same whole. Raised-Muslims I don't think understand this because they have lived how they have lived for so long and have never been dissatisfied with it and fancy that they're particular path is the only way that people can be satisfied. People can choose to follow it or not, but only those who mimic exactly what they do 100% will find any sense of peace. The second matter encompasses part of the first, I get the impression that if we reverts question the authenticity or logic of a tradition or ruling, we are treated as unfaithful. Again, an example: a person says that the Imam Ali (as) said such and such. I feel like those who have been raised since childhood to believe that these particular words were indeed Imam Ali's or that Imam Ali preached this, if we reverts perhaps ask why we should believe such a tradition ourselves for whatever reasons, we are barraged with accusations that we are questioning the wisdom of the Ahlul Bayt and are deviants when all we did was simply ask for the meaning of the tradition to be explained or the logic to be examined because something we have learned previously contradicts what is being attributed Imam Ali. The Raised-Muslims then tell us things like "We're not to question what we've been told by Ahlul Bayt, we're just supposed to do it and not challenge it. We're don't follow what makes sense to us but just what the Ahlul Bayt commands even it makes no sense to us." Again, they've completely missed the point. I was raised my entire life worshiping Jesus (pbuh) as God. I was told that nothing could contradict the Bible, to follow the Bible without question and not to doubt it or question it and even if it didn't make sense to me, I was still expected to believe it was true without a second thought. This was my mind state for years and had I kept this mindstate, I'd still be an unbeliever. It was only when I had a second thought, when I questioned what I was told Jesus was by the Bible or the preachers, when I asked why I should believe this or that, only when I did this did I become unsatisfied with the answers I was given and in my desire for a satisfying answer I searched out and found Islam, the straight and true path. I was told all my life that Jesus said he was God's begotten son and was given words of Jesus to read and memorize that promoted this falsehood all my life and was so convinced it was true. If I hadn't asked "Why?" or "How?" I would still be an unbeliever today. Now that I'm Muslim, I find Muslims chastising me for questioning (when all I'm trying to do is make sure that I am not being deceived again) and sitting and accusing me of unfaithfulness and being a deviant who wishes to make Islam what fits his selfish desires does nothing to increase my faith, but only makes me feel unwelcome. The only way to find the truth and stay in the truth is to ask questions and see if the answers given by a person you've asked are good enough. Raised Muslims don't understand that many of we reverts for years were taught not to question the wisdom of certain writings and long standing traditions only to realize, alhamdulillah, that we were in the wrong, deceived by lies or falsehood, mistaken. Our undying devotion to falsehood and our taking it in without question did not help us find the truth but instead only kept us steadfast longer in deception. So why should we not put forth questions, even in our new faith, so as to not be led astray by the misguided or the lying again? And why should simply questioning be counted against us as doubt or unfaithfulness of which it (questioning) is not synonymous with? If those we ask are certain they are correct, what have they to fear by our questions? That we will be reaffirmed of our choice with knowledge and understanding? Or is their chastising of our questioning certain interpretations of or narrations of certain traditions because they lack knowledge and understanding themselves and only follow what they were bidden to do by their families like those who chastised our prophets so harshly when they arrived with the right guidance? Just in the same way, whenever We sent a Warner before thee to any people, the wealthy ones among them said: "We found our fathers following a certain religion, and we will certainly follow in their footsteps." He said: "What! Even if I brought you better guidance than that which ye found your fathers following?" They said: "For us, we deny that ye (prophets) are sent (on a mission at all)." --Surah 43:24-25 Now, after questioning that which confused us and arriving at the truth, are we expected to revert back to old habits that kept us in falsehood for so long and the logic that we know from experience does not guarantee that we are following the truth? We should not be afraid to question, nor should we be afraid to express ourselves through certain customs or rituals indigenous to our own personalities as Allah created us all as different people of different nations, tribes, colors, and tongues, so that we might know each other and take pleasure in our diversity, the diversity which he has gifted us. There's more to following the Ahlul Bayt than copying external actions and fashions, as not all their external actions can be imitated by us, their devotees. The important thing is developing the same heart as they had and letting that which this heart produces be without guilt or fear and to pursue knowledge, which never ceases to grow, without rest. Again, I mean no personal grudge toward anyone, I just feel like those who are raised as Muslims are not interested in pursuits for more knowledge beyond the folk traditions they have been raised with and look at reverts as being a lesser stock of Muslims because we tend to question what we are told or may adopt or even develop different breeds of "folk Islam," for ourselves and our communities than what they are used to. Even though we do not intend these customs to oppose or replace the practices/customs of our rightly guided brothers and sisters but to be beside them as another means of expressing the same knowledge and truth. That and we may also keep and integrate traditions that we were raised with in our Christian, Jewish, Hindu, Buddhist, and etc. communities because we feel they are perfectly in line with what we are taught as Muslims.1 point -

Assalaamo-Alaikum dear brothers and sisters. Does Ayath-e-Tatheer apply to the wives of the Prophet [pbuh] or not??? Let’s take a look and examine the following Ayaath. [33:29] O Prophet! say to thy wives, ‘If you desire the life of this world and its adornment, come then, I will provide for you and send you away in a handsome manner. [33:29] Çÿ äÈی! Çäی ÈیæیæŸ Óÿ ˜ÀÀ Ïÿ ˜À ÇÑ Êã ÏäیÇ ˜ی ÒäÏی ÇæÑ ÇÓ ˜ی ÒیäÊ ÇÀÊی Àæ Êæ ÂÄ ãیŸ ÊãÀیŸ ãÇáی ÝÇÆÏÀ ÀäÇÄŸ ÇæÑ ÚãÏی ˜ÿ ÓÇʪ ÊãÀیŸ ÑÎÕÊ ˜ÑæŸ۔ [33:30] ‘But if you desire Allah and His Messenger and the Home of the Hereafter, then truly Allah has prepared for those of you who do good a great reward.’ [33:30] ÇæÑ ÇÑ Êã ÇááÀ ˜æ ÇÀÊی Àæ ÇæÑ ÇÓ ˜ÿ ÑÓæá ˜æ ÇæÑ ÂÎÑÊ ˜ÿ ªÑ ˜æ Êæ یÞیäÇð ÇááÀ äÿ Êã ãیŸ Óÿ ÍõÓäö Úãá ˜Ñäÿ æÇáیæŸ ˜ÿ áÆÿ ÈÀÊ ÈšÇ ÇÌÑ ÊیÇÑ ˜یÇ Àÿ۔ It is absolutely clear that Allah here is speaking to the Messenger about his wives. Take a look at the first Ayath and the words used in it, [if] if what??? [if you desire] desire what??? [ The life of this world and its adornment] what will happen??? [i will send you away] this clearly means divorce. In other words Good riddance! Now take a look at the second Ayath and the words used in it, [but] but what??? [but if you desire] desire what??? [Allah, his Messenger and the home here after] what will happen??? [Allah has prepared a good reward] does it end here??? NO! There is a condition. What is the condition???[Those of you who do good] Now what have we here??? If Ayath-e- Tatheer really applied to the wives then why would Allah speak about the wives as such??? Why would Allah speak with its and buts??? Why would Allah speak conditionally [Those of you who do good]??? This means there were those amongst the wives who could do bad. The possibility of doing bad was there and bad comes into [Rijs]. Therefore Ayath-e-Tatheer goes against this. Take a look at the following Ayath [33:31] O wives of the Prophet! if any of you be guilty of manifestly dishonourable conduct, the punishment will be doubled for her. And that is easy for Allah. [33:31] Çÿ äÈی ˜ی Èیæیæ! Ìæ Ȫی Êã ãیŸ Óÿ ˜ªáی ˜ªáی ÝÇÍÔÀ ˜Ç ÇÑʘÇÈ ˜Ñÿ ی ÇÓ ˜ÿ áÆÿ ÚÐÇÈ ˜æ ÏæäÇ ÈšªÇ ÏیÇ ÌÇÆÿ Ç ÇæÑ یÀ ÈÇÊ ÇááÀ Ñ ÂÓÇä Àÿ۔ Let’s examine this Ayath. Take a look at these words, [if any of you be guilty of manifestly dishonourable conduct] what will happen??? [The punishment will be doubled for her] Excuse me! What have we here??? GUILTY ??? DISHONOUR??? PUNISHMENT??? If Ayath-e-Tatheer really applied to the wives then do you think Allah would have spoken in such a manner about the wives??? I thought Allah decided to remove all uncleanness and wanted to purify the wives. So what’s going on here??? Does Ayath-e-Tatheer really apply to the wives??? If it did then there would be no question about the possibility of guilt, dishonour and punishment because they come into [Rijs] and Ayath-e-Tatheer goes against this. Now lets take a look at the following Ayath. [33:32] But whoever of you is obedient to Allah and His Messenger and does good works, We shall give her her reward twice over; and We have prepared for her an honourable provision. [33:32] ÇæÑ Êã ãیŸ Óÿ Ìæ ÇááÀ ÇæÑ ÇÓ ˜ÿ ÑÓæá ˜ی ÝÑãÇäÈÑÏÇÑی ˜Ñÿ ی ÇæÑ äی˜ ÇÚãÇá ÈÌÇ áÇÆÿ ی Àã ÇõÓÿ ÇÓ ˜Ç ÇÌÑ Ïæ ãÑÊÈÀ ÏیŸ ÿ ÇæÑ ÇÓ ˜ÿ áÆÿ Àã äÿ ÈÀÊ ÚÒÊ æÇáÇ ÑÒÞ ÊیÇÑ ˜یÇ Àÿ۔ Examine the Ayath and take a look at these words, [but] but what??? [Who ever of you is obedient]??? Excuse me! OBEDIENT??? The wives of the Prophet [pbuh]??? YES OFCOURSE! Who else! But I thought the wives should be obedient in the first place since they are married to the Prophet [pbuh] and Ayath-e-Tatheer applies to them but why the words [Who ever of you]??? This clearly shows that Ayath-e-Tatheer does not apply to the wives because there is a possibility of any of them being disobedient. The words [Who ever] have been used. Being disobedient would come into [Rijs] then Ayath-e-Tatheer would not apply to you because it goes against it. Now take a look at the following Ayath. [33:33] O wives of the Prophet! You are not like any other women if you are righteous. So be not soft in speech, lest he in whose heart is a disease should feel tempted; and speak a decent speech. [33:33] Çÿ äÈی ˜ی Èیæیæ! Êã ÀÑÒ ÚÇã ÚæÑÊæŸ ÌیÓی äÀیŸ Àæ ÈÔÑØی˜À Êã ÊÞæیٰ ÇÎÊیÇÑ ˜Ñæ۔ Ó ÈÇÊ áÌÇ ˜Ñ äÀ ˜یÇ ˜Ñæ æÑäÀ æÀ ÔÎÕ ÌÓ ˜ÿ Ïá ãیŸ ãÑÖ Àÿ ØãÚ ˜Ñäÿ áÿ Ç۔ ÇæÑ Çªی ÈÇÊ ˜ÀÇ ˜Ñæ۔ Examine the Ayath and take a look at the following words, [if you are righteous] What have we here??? If you are righteous??? This means there is also a possibility that some might not be righteous. Again if Ayath-e-Tatheer applied to the wives then Allah would not have spoken as such [if you are righteous]. If you are not right that means you are wrong. If you are wrong then that would come into [Rijs] uncleanness. Then Ayath-e-Tatheer would not apply to you if you are wrong because it goes against what is being said. Now let’s take a look at the next Ayath’ [33:34] And stay in your houses with dignity, and do not show off yourselves like the showing off of the former days of ignorance, and observe Prayer, and pay the Zakat, and obey Allah and His Messenger. Surely Allah desires to remove from you all uncleanness, O Members of the Household, and purify you completely. [33:34] ÇæÑ Çäÿ ªÑæŸ ãیŸ Àی ÑÀÇ ˜Ñæ ÇæÑ ÒÑی ÀæÆی ÌÇÀáیÊ ˜ÿ ÓäªÇÑ ÌیÓÿ ÓäªÇÑ ˜ی äãÇÆÔ äÀ ˜یÇ ˜Ñæ ÇæÑ äãÇÒ ˜æ ÞÇÆã ˜Ñæ ÇæÑ Ò˜æٰۃ ÇÏÇ ˜Ñæ ÇæÑ ÇááÀ ÇæÑ ÇÓ ˜ÿ ÑÓæá ˜ی ÇØÇÚÊ ˜Ñæ۔ Çÿ ÇÀáö ÈیÊ! یÞیäÇð ÇááÀ ÇÀÊÇ Àÿ ˜À Êã Óÿ ÀÑ ÞÓã ˜ی ÂáÇÆÔ ÏæÑ ˜ÑÏÿ ÇæÑ ÊãÀیŸ Ǫی ØÑÍ Ç˜ ˜Ñ Ïÿ۔ Examine the Ayath and take a look at the following words, [stay in your houses with dignity] What have we here??? This means there is a possibility of leaving the house without dignity or leaving the house in such a manner that you lose your dignity. [And do not show of yourselves] My my! There is a certain possibility of showing off particularly in the manner mentioned which would come into [Rijs]. Otherwise such words would not have been used. If Ayath-e-Tatheer really applied to the wives then there would have been no it’s and buts. Such words would not have been used: [if you desire this or that], [Those of you who do good], [if any of you be guilty], [The punishment will be doubled], [but whoever of you is obedient], [And does good works], [if you are righteous], [stay in your homes with dignity], [Do not show of yourselves]. Now take a look at Ayath-e-Tatheer itself and the words used [surely Allah desires to remove from you all uncleanness]. If this applies to the wives then what was the need to divide the wives into categories??? If this or if that, those of you this but whoever of you that. The next words [and purify you completely] if this is the case then what is with guilty, dishonour, punishment, those who do good, if you are righteous, whoever is obedient etc. What’s all this??? Another thing we need to keep in mind is all these Ayaath were not revealed together as they are layed out one after the other. According to my opinion Ayath-e-Tatheer was revealed separately with its own reasons and circumstances just like every other Ayath. The Holy Quran was not revealed the way we have it layed out. So we should not take matters due to the laying out. We have to look at the back ground of why this particular Ayath was revealed and what was the nature, reason, condition and circumstance of it. Wassalaam for now.[ Wallaho-Aalam] May Allah guide us all.1 point

It doesn't bother me. I am reading it with a mindset??? Ok! Lets see what you have to say. You talk about perfection and infallibility. Sunshine! This is Allah's work not yours and mine. It's all about perfection and infallibility when it comes to Allah. Nevermind! Lets discuss your point. Tell me what do you think about Prophet Muhammad [pbuh]??? He was called [Mustafaa] meaning the chosen one [Chuna Huwaa] in Urdu. According to you was he chosen/picked at random or quality wise??? You do believe Prophet Muhammad [pbuh] was infallible, perfect and a saint don't you??? He was also under the blanket/sheet wasn't he??? Ayath-e-Tatheer also applies to him doesn't it??? WHY??????????? When he is already the chosen one, infallible, perfect and a saint! What are you going to do now??? Accuse Allah of having a mindest. You talk about removal of uncleanness! This only applies to something that is dirty, filthy or at least unclean. Tell me, according to your thinking, what was unclean about the individuals concerned??? Like I said the Prophet [pbuh] was under the blanket/sheet and part of this incident. Does Ayath-e-Tatheer apply to him sa well??? If yes then what about keeping away of rijs and removal of uncleanness reagarding him??? All you have done is criticised and condmned but not discussed and put your version forward. Lets see what you have to say or are you one of those who just accuse and abuse then make a run for it. In the end I hit the Tehreef note???? I don't think you have a clue what Tehreef is. Why don'y you give me some proof or at least some explanation of why you think as such.1 point

No i'm simply trying to respond to your accusation that Khadijah was a christian by putting the position of Khadijah and the Christian faith in its historical context. Try to fathom what I say by relating it to your post specifically. Read everything in my post carefully and don't skim through it assuming you've gathered all the main points I was trying to convey. And contrary to your belief there are scriptural references of the tampering of the holy text by the scribes... "How can you say, 'We are wise, and the law of the LORD is with us'? But, behold, the false pen of the scribes has made it into a lie." (Jeremiah 8:8) Yes and what exactly does that have to do with anything? What exactly are you trying to prove? The popularised divinity of Jesus being in harmony with Islam's teachings? If so, you should know better than that. The Quran says Jesus was a prophet and messenger of God but it denies and argues against all the different forms of deifying Jesus that the Church would propagate from time to time. You should know i've read and reread the whole Quran throughout my life, so i'm pretty familiar with all these verses you speak of and their context. To give you an easy summary of our faith: we believe in all the prophets of the abrahamic faiths and that they were given a divine scripture and performed miracles; all we simply say is that many christians strayed from the central doctrine preached by Jesus and some tampering of the rules, regulations (and probably some prophecies as well) were committed by the later scribes.1 point

Abu Bakr never lead the prayer, it is the figment of imagination of Aisha. Just like her figment of imagination for being accused of adultery. It never happened, and the leading the prayer never happened. Abu Bakr never lead the prayer, nor Aisha was accused of adultery. Figment of imagination of a sick mind.1 point

TURKEY IS BRITISH MADE!!?!?! Turkey is the only country that sucsessfully drove the british, french, armenians,Italians, and Greeks out of their land all at the same time!!!!When have any so called Arab nations sucsessfully achieved a military victory like this ?while nationalist arab parties are living within borders that have all been created when britain and france drew lines in the sand!!!! all of them, be it Jordan,Iraq, Syria, Lebanon or Saudi. Yet they are proud of their pathetic borders and choose to fight among eachother. Yes, Turkey might be secular, but it did so on its own will. I am naturally simpathetic to the Kurds. But it cannot be ignored that Turkey is a great nation. It is the only Muslim nation that has had any significant military victory in the 21st and 20th century. Dont forget that Turks were able to drive out the alliied powers while being completely outgunned. Sure, i know alot of you might hate Ataturk, and there might be alot to hate him for, but if it werent for him, Istanbul, and almost all of Anatolia would be occupied just as Israel occupies Palestine.1 point

David broke 4 of the 10 Commandments: 1. He coveted his neighbour's wife. 2. He committed adultery with his neighbour's wife. 3. He has his neighbour's wife husband killed. 4. So that he can steal his neighbour's wife. Are you familiar with the above? Please keep away from accusations. Now read, Samuel 2 chapter 24, whichever version you prefer to read. So the Lord sent a plague upon Israel from the morning till the appointed time. From Dan to Beersheba seventy thousand men of the people died. And when the angel stretched out His hand over Jerusalem to destroy it, the Lord relented from the destruction, and said to the angel who was destroying the people, "It is enough; now restrain your hand." And the angel of the Lord was by the threshing floor of Araunah the Jebusite. Then David spoke to the Lord when he saw the angel who was striking the people, and said, "Surely I have sinned, and I have done wickedly; but these sheep, what have they done? Let Your hand, I pray, be against me and against my father's house."1 point -

Suicide Attack In D.i Khan

انا لله وانا اليه راجعون i noticed that taliban of pakistan is one of the worst movements on earth because from the start they admitted to targeting civilians directly as legitimate targets some thing that Taliban afghanistan did do and even alqaeda in iraq didnt take responsibility for most of the ugly attacks on civilians i mean there is one criminal who doesn't admit his crime because he is kind of shamed of it and there is another who is boasting about his crime this group needs to be terrorized their leaders assassinated and their group targeted there should be a counter balance like in iraq to stop these people (but it shouldn't be a blind sectarian thing like iraq but shuold be an intelligent and targeted war against only guilty people taking responsibility for such acts) I think they can do these things to us because we have no unity and that makes us very weak... we have divisions and problems and we are not even reflecting the proper islam if we reflect the proper islam i can assure you that we will have achievements and within few year the Pakistanis will be drawn to us from all other sects and win the hearts of people and build a strong base look at hizbullah how they united so that no one in Lebanon dare to touch one of them they have media and unity and activity and intelligence1 point -

Another Omelette... :) Souffle Omelette Ingred: 2 eggs 1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese 3 Tbsp green onions chopped 1 tsp of water Method: 1.Separate the egg whites. Whisk them till soft peaks form, don't over whisk so that they become too hard. 2.Whisk the yolks with 1 tsp of water, salt and pepper till pale yellow. 3.Add green onions to the yolk. 4.Slowly fold in the yolk in the egg white mixture. don't over beat otherwise the air will be lost from the whipped egg whites. 5.Heat some oil, pour in the egg. Turn the heat to medium. Let one side become golden brown. Flip and heat the other side. Add cheese on the top and flip close by making it into a semi circle. Heat some more till cheese melts. Monogamy Clause In Marriage Contract

Monogamy Clause In Marriage Contract
BabyBeaverIsAKit reacted to Gypsy for a topic
There is no requirement in Islam for the co-wives to stay in one house. In fact people don’t put co-wives in the same house. Islamicly there is no requirement to have co-wives to ease the loneliness or boredom. Most stays at home women are not lonely women. They have activities inside and outside of the house, kids, schools and other activities.1 point -

Help With American Patriot
shiasoldier786 reacted to Akritas for a topic
Weeelll, I don't agree that it is particularly likely that 9/11 was done by the US government, so I can't help you there. I don't know anything about the Modern Warfare series as I don't read it. It also depends on your friend and his views, which I don't know. He does seem to be attributing views to you that you don't hold though, so I would probably point out to him (or his father, depending on circumstances) that you actually said nothing about being a terrorist or supporting Usama or 9/11 or anything else like that. I'd also avoid opposing the 'War on Terror' which to most Americans means the campaign to prevent something like 9/11 from happening again. I would suggest that you phrase it by saying you oppose the war in Afghanistan or whatever Israel is doing as that has less of a sinister overtone to most Americans. Better still, don't oppose anything, rather suggest what you think would lead to peace with both sides. You don't have to change your beliefs an iota, but how you present them can lead to a real difference in how people react. I think (or hope) he meant "curse the Muslims who did this" rather than "curse all Muslims in general" if that helps. Anyway, that's all I can think of at the moment. I'll turn it over in my mind (I always think about things) and mention it if something else crops up.1 point -
(bismillah) (salam) It wastes a lot of your time. It can become an addiction where a person cannot go anywhere or do anything because they are on facebook all the time. I don't have time to devote to facebook, so I never go there. When I cannot log into ShiaChat, I go to the ShiaChat facebook page, but if the mods or admins don't post anything on the wall there, we don't know why ShiaChat is down or when it will be back up, etc. One time last December there was a message that ShiaChat was under maintenance and that they were working on it.1 point

Assalam O Alaikum brothers and sisters, TWO SIMPLE CHALLENGES TO PROVE/DISPROVE MR. AHMAD AL HASSAN’S CLAIMS. For every real messenger of Allah, there are dozens of fake people claiming to be one. History tells us that fake prophets and fake imams had big followings. Hence anyone thinking that one should accept a claim without adequate proof is simply on the wrong path. Those who think that since Quran condemns those who denied true messengers of God, we must accept every Tom, Richard and Harry who claim anything without any proof of highest order would misguide themselves and their people. Seeing istakhara or praying and then sleeping hoping to find the authenticity of a claimer is NOT the path adopted by prophets or 12 imams. Actually these are the Christian messengers who try to reach the people by “Dream Technique”. Prophet and 12 imams accepted people’s right to test them and ask questions. We are all aware of Hazrat Ibrahim a.s and Hazrat Musa a.s arguments with Namrood and Fir’on, and on many other occasions. Our holy Prophet was tested by scholars of other faiths on many occasions. Once Jews asked him that how did Bani Israel reached Egypt so that at Hazrat Mosa’s time, they were there as a whole nation. In answer, whole Surah e Yusuf a.s was sent and those jews accepted Holy Prophet’s (saww) authenticity. Hazrat Ali a.s kept challenging with “Salooni” and answered questions on the basis of his divine knowledge. Other Imams were also asked scholarly questions to prove their ilm e ladunni (divine knowledge) and they answered on every single occasion. Hence I refuse to accept Istakhara or Dream Technique as offered by the followers of Mr. Ahmad Al Hassan and would like to test him on the lines that our prophets and imams have shown. I actually believe that it is the right of a seeker of truth, and responsibility of a claimant to accept a challenge and answer scholarly questions to prove his authenticity, and I will put following simple, straightforward challenges. CHALLENGE NUMBER 1: Since “Ansars” of Mr. Ahmad Al Hassan claim that he is infallible and has divine knowledge, I would like to talk to him in a language that a person of his background is unlikely to understand and ask him questions based on a subject that he has not studied by a teacher on earth. If he would answer those questions properly, then it will be a big proof that he may be a genuine Yamani and a Mehdi. Now if I write the questions here, he can find the answers from many sources. However, I write 3 couplets and ask him or his Ansars to get me the full names of three poets who wrote these couplets: First Couplet: ãÍÈÊیŸ Ȫی Êæ ãáÊی ÀیŸ ÑÒÞ ˜ی ÕæÑÊ ãÍÈÊæŸ ãیŸ Ȫی ÑÒÞö ÍáÇá Ïی˜ªÇ ˜Ñ Second Couplet: ÑیÊ À ᘪی ÊÍÑیÑیŸ Êæ áÀÑæŸ ãیŸ ˜ªæ ÌÇÊی ÀیŸ ªÑ Ȫی ÇäÇ äÇã ᘪæ Êæ ÓÇʪ ãیŸ ãیÑÇ äÇã Ȫی ᘪäÇ Third Couplet: ã̪ÿ ˜Óی Ȫی äیäÿ ˜ی ÇÈ ÊáÇÔ äÀیŸ ˜À  یÇ ãÑی ÇäÔÊÑی ˜æ 滄 ÑÇÓ Now please do write the names of poets who wrote these couplets if you are true in your claims. Please, Please, Please answer and help us find the truth. CHALLENGE NUMBER 2: In websites, Mr. Ahmad Al Hassan has been presented as an “author”. On website (www.the-savior.com), we find his books. They are five in number, and their names and number of pages are as follows: For the Supremacy of God and not the Supremacy of People. 12 A4 pages. The Calf 5 A4 pages. Enlightenments From the Calls of the Messengers 11 A4 pages. Letter of Guidance 8 pages. Executor and Messenger of Imam Al Mahdi In Torah, Bible and Quran 8 pages. No author with self-respect will call such small articles as “books”. However, that is a smaller issue. The larger issue is that the author is claiming to be in league of authors of “Nahjul Balagha” and “Saheefa e Kaamla”. When I read Mr. Ahmad Al Hassan’s “books”, I was deeply disappointed with the standard. Leave the infallibles, if you compare the standards with those of our respected ulema such as Ayatollah Baqar us Sadr, Ayatollah Khomeini or similar scholars, you will find inadequacies in Mr. Hassan’s “books”. But I may be wrong. So I suggest a simple test. Take the first book “For the Supremacy of God and not the Supremacy of People”. Its topic is comparison of political systems and it has attempted to reason. Take another book on similar topic. Let me suggest Fredrich Engel’s book “The origin of the families, private property and the states”. It was written in 1884 when knowledge on the subject was much limited. Now choose scholars/professors of philosophy and political science (I would suggest professors of Cambridge, Oxford, Harvard, McGill, UCL, UCLA, Imperial or similar Universities to standardise the results. Any honest, unbiased person can read both and compare) and ask them to rate the two books by awarding numbers out of 100. The standard of a person claiming to be infallible will be immediately evident to you. I have read both books and expect the “For the Supremacy of God and not the Supremacy of People” to be awarded between 10-20 numbers, and “The origin of the families, private property and the states” to be awarded between 60-80 numbers. Our prophets and imams (salam-ullah alaih) never shied away from scholarly challenges. Someone claiming to be Yamani, son of 12th imam a.s and 1st Mehdi should not do either. I would request Mr. Ahmad Al Hassan and his Ansars to please respond to these challenges and then we can move forwards. If they cannot, then I am afraid, I will have no choice but to regard Mr. Ahmad Al Hassan’s claims to be fake and his believers to be deviated from the path of 12 imams. May Allah be kind to us and help us find the truth. Wassalam.1 point
