This website really is turning into a cess pit of deviance, we have laypeople like Orion condemning some of our classical 'Ulema and other laypeople attacking the contemporary 'Ulema. Look at how our Maraja'a like Sayyed Muhammad Husayn Tabataba'i al-Hakeem (HA) discusses 'Ulema after referring to them as Akhbaris: http://www.alhakeem.com/arabic/rsael/osol/index.htm he praises them with Quds Sirrihim, something one only says for Praised 'Ulema. Now we have this kid Orion calling Akhbaris a Cult, thats disrespectful to the two Majlisis, Hurr al-Amili and Yusuf al-Bahrani (QS) amongst others. Zareen please unregister my account.3 points

shia by label is a mere claim but action speaks louder than words there were levels of shias 1) the ones who stood with imam to death and most loyal (true shias) 2) the ones who tried to help him but became afraid from the persecutions so they did nothing (weaker shias) 3) the ones who participated against him ( our hearts are with you but our swords are against you) very weak and hypocritical shias then worse than these guys are the enemies themsleves i.e. the shia of yazeed and ubain bin zyad3 points -

I agree with you 100% with everything you have said above brother. As you probably know, I am no fan of rijaal or its practitioners or Walid. But I feel Farid al-Naasibee and his followers staked their religion upon this irrational gamble. I am happy they can see the extreme mess they have created for themselves in that debate. Walid is trying to reply to our objections to the rijaal system as a whole in that debate. But he simply cannot source it from the Qur'aan and Sunnah. It was a heresy created by Sunnees. It destroyed their religion. Unfortunately, some Shee'ahs too now base their religion on that unholy conjecture. You don't see it? You can authenticate ANY hadeeth in Sunnee Islam, and you can weaken ANY hadeeth that you don't like! Rijaal allows you to do that. The rijaal scholars are always fighting about the reliability of narrators, and you sometimes see the same man fighting with himself about the same narrator! It is so bad. One scholar grades a hadeeth "Saheeh (authentic)" and another grades it "Mawdoo' (fabricated)"!! And they both follow rijaal! What am I saying? Even the same scholar, like Shaykh al-Albaanee did, would authenticate the same hadith with the same chain somewhere and weaken it elsewhere. Such is the wonder of rijaal! It is pure kufr to attribute such confusion to Allaah and His Messengers (as)2 points

Raised Muslims Have Begun To Irritate Me
alimohamad40 and one other reacted to Saintly_Jinn23 for a topic
There are many things we do not quite comprehend, but they are still true regardless of our inability to give an explanation of their origin. Those particular "absolutes" in reality. Those things that have no explanation because they are the explanation themselves and exist just simply to exist. It's just there are some things I would say that by their nature demand explanation, particularly because they have an origin, and sometimes instead of seeking out the answer, a Raised Muslim, or even an overly zealous revert, will simply cop out by making the one who is asking for an explanation or some understanding look and feel like he or she is being unfaithful just so they look like their speaking on subjects they lack knowledge in and saying "I don't know" is a sign of faithfulness.2 points -

Asalam alaikum Before writting i have to say that this poem should be printed out and read by oneself alone. Sit in a corner and start reading, Some women are mazloom all their life but with death they stop being mazloom yet Fatima is still mazloom in her grave she stands up, sits down, turns right, turns left Tell me oh my fathers nation what did my Hussain do? Her father just passed away and who is there to share share her sorrow normally they come, but Batool is alone She picks up Zainab, puts arm around her neck, and hers around herself Zainab i share my sorrow you share your sorrow She hears noise outside her door maybe the nation has come to share sorrow with me Fiza returns screaming Batool they have burnt the door.... Zahra goes to see Standing behind the door she waits In between the wall and burning door they kick the door in so Batool comes in between but the door was tiny only one could enter or leave at the time Tell me oh brothers, tell me oh sisters How did they come in and take the patient Ali I tell if u can listen The kicked the door, the burning door it feel upon Batool She screamed, my child, my child With the door over her, the stepped on, over Batool...... But Zahra forgot everything when she saw the rope around Alis neck My Ali, dont take him away like this, holding his arm, they took out a whip Zahra still holding, when the took up their hands,,,,, ......... mazloom Zahra, mazloom Zahra, mazloom Zahra1 point

I Find Something Odd About The Holy Quran ...
Ali H Syed reacted to Lanatin for a topic
That's probably because you were impatiently 'flicking' through the pages of the Quran. 'May god kill the christians how deluded they are' The Quran said may God fight them not 'kill them', it's obviously metaphoric. Do you even remember the verse or were you hurriedly reading the verses in anxiety? Here's the verse for everyone to see: "And say the Jews: 'Ezra is the son of God' and say the Christians: 'The Messiah is the son of God'. These are the words of their mouths; they imitate the saying of those who disbelieved before; God fighteth them; How they turn away! Take they their scholars and monks as lords besides God, and the Messiah son of Mary while they were not commanded but to worship God the Only One; There is no god but He; pure is He and exalted is He from what they associate." (9:30-31) There's a fully prepared argument here. It clearly states that their scriptures told them to worship One God, but they turned away and resorted to endless esoteric interpretations of passages that showed this. They 'turned away' after the clear evidence was there. You know fully well not all the Christians believe this. The Quran recognized this too and said those Christians who believed in God and the afterlife and did good deeds would go to heaven. It (naturally) knew the fact that their own scriptures still had the original monotheistic message and alerted the Christians to read them to find the true teachings of Jesus. The verse that points to the veracity of my second sentence is 5:69 where it says: "Surely those who believe and those who are Jews and the Sabians and the Christians and whoever believeth in God and the Last Day and doeth good, no fear shall be upon them and nor shall they grieve." Of course these christians always existed throughout the ages and part of their duty is to 'stand fast' by the Gospel as the previous verse stated and the Quran repeatedly says Jesus prophesised the coming of Muhammad. "Say: O' people of the Book! Ye have no ground to stand upon until ye stand fast by the Law and the Gospel and what hath been sent down unto you from your Lord; and surely that which hath been sent down unto thee will increase many of them in transgression and infidelity..." (5:68). The immediately succeeding verse has already been quoted above so it shows when the message of the Islamic faith comes to their discretionary attention they should consequently transfer to Islam. It is this same chapter where it says among the Christians you will find those nearest in friendship. Obviously it isn't saying all christians are closest to the believers thus: "...and thou wilt find the nearest in friendship to those who believe those who say: 'We are Christians'; this because among them are priests and monks and because they are not elated with pride" (5:82) If you read the Quran chronologically, carefully and reflectively without any rush or 'skimming' you would realise all the brilliant content the Quran has to offer. Perhaps your comprehension won't be ridiculed by the more aggressive muslims out there. The Quran is riddled with multi-layered parables, rational arguments against idolatry and polytheism in general. It's always appealing to the reason of the reader when arguing the case for the Oneness of God and the reality of the Afterlife. It establishes the reality of the Islamic doctrines through the reasoning it provides. There are plenty of verses that I can bring on this if you want me to but for the sake of briefness i'll consider it in my next post. The thing with the Quran is it's a book that is self-proclaimed as a warning to humanity as a whole, a guidance and a distinguisher (furqan) between right and wrong. It addresses the dogmas of a multitude of polytheistic ideologies, it calls upon the Jews to faithfully practice all the teachings of the Torah, it has a set of duties and regulations outlined for believers. The basic doctrines are hence free from any exegesis needed, as the Quran itself says: "He it is Who hath sent down to thee the Book of it there are verses decisive there are the basis of the book, and others are ambiguous;..." (3:7) The sanctified place of Ahlul-Bait in all of this is to expound the details of many of the different duties outlined for muslims which is an imperative directed at muslims specifically. They are specifically needed by the muslims. The Quran on the other hand addresses all ideologies and factions of humanity, it has an array of different pieces of information. And may I say at the forefront of the Ahlul-Bait is Prophet Muhammad himself. He was given the details and implications of the Quranic regulations and passed this precious divine knowledge to his holy Ahlul-Bait. This was done when he instructed Ali in a detailed exposition of every Qur'anic verse throughout his prophetic career; he would dictate a certain point and Ali would write it down. It eventually came to be collected into a scripture called 'Al-Jami'ah' and the eleven subsequent Imams inherited this. They always said whatever injunctions and explanations they give to the people originates from the Prophet himself. As the Quran says: "Indeed God hath conferred His favour upon the believers when He raised up an apostle among them from their own selves, to recite unto them His signs, and to purify them, and to teach them the book and the Wisdom..." Its simple; every fallible usooli alim is right. He can interpret the verse regarding ahle dhikr to be mujtahid even if imams a.s say that they are ahle dhikr. It also doesn't matter if the hadees for rujoo towards narrators of ahadees IS Interpreted as wajib and to be referring to those who use ijtehaad and IJMA in addition to ahadees as independent sources of law. It also doesn't matter if they have the same authority as a khalifa has because they are believers in 12 imams a.s and Sunnis or any other sect is totally wrong because they could have had the same authority that a khalifa has if they had just believed in 12 imams a.s mamoon. L.a also believed in the 12 imams a.s but he he was not usooli so he is wrong. They are alims so they are right. This logic proves every religion right that's why they say there is no difference between Sunnis and shias. Mashallah what a logic.1 point -

Writing Another Page Locked in thought realising the cage that is my mind Is all I really have right now It carries me like the flame carrying the candle Blown away by the slightest breath Shortening as the days melt by I find it grows stronger when I remember you But it leaves me guilty that I seek The heat of your flame only when I am weakened Weakened by the cold whispers of the world Whispering their darkness into every step I take I find myself falling after each hurdle Like the crispy leaves of yesterday Falling into your lap like an eternal father Only to grow again through your heat But why do you extend a hand when I have left you behind? Like one of many memories Stacked beneath the sins of my world Only to blow away the dust when there’s nothing else to turn to? No doctor can stitch this wound of emptiness Nor magician can cast it away I know your presence is the only thing that can fill the void That eats my flame from inside I’ve known it for a long time But I am scared and the guilt is my curse I would not rob from the rich, yet here I am attempting to rob You Tricking you into loving me Caring for me As I decorate myself with the dirt of the world And dance in the flames of mortality I am not worthy of your love Yet it has always completed me when it has touched my soul At times drowning me into thinking I do not need it But here I am Writing another page Knowing I will end up writing books Just begging you… Taher Adel(TNT) 06/09/20111 point -

Question To Consider
ImAli reacted to MysticKnight for a topic
Something to consider is that our perception of each other is not based on knowledge of the person, we have no access to their subconscious and the various factors that make them say a thing and act in a way. Our perception of people that we highly respect or we highly disrespect, is based on a lot of misguided factors. Our perception of people is not accurate. We don't know ourselves and we don't know others. We misjudge people in both directions. Over adore them over respect them and make high image of them that is not accurate, and the same is true the other way, we disrespect people, make a bad image of them and it's not accurate. Basically don't assume the best or worse of people, just do your best to know yourself without comparison to others that you don't perceive.1 point -

Salam, This is a discussion I had with Lord Botta, however I did not expand upon my discussion as it seemed that he was making us go around circles. To be a bit precise, that approach is problematic in a few ways. First, we need to define what you mean by 'principles'. If you mean by grading specific persons, then that won't work as anyone accused of shi'ism is suspect in the Sunni rijal sciences. The same of course would be applied if Shi'is were to grade their narrators, many of whom would be suspect due to their nasb or hatred for Ahl al-Bait. If you simply mean the scientific methodology that is used to assess chains, then I believe that is problematic as well. This is because many hadith that have been incorporated into works such as al-Kafi up until Wasa'il are usul works, many of whom were traditions that were written down by the companions of the Imams and sent down to their students. As such, one cannot apply a methodology that analyzes oral transmission to one that has been transmitted in written form. If you mean it in its strict oral sense, then Majlisi applied a similar (although not identical) method in analyzing Shia hadiths in al-Kafi (which is only one of our books) which incidentally left us with more reliable hadiths in the Sunni sense than Bukhari and Muslim combined. However, what would be interesting would be to apply the methodology of the classical Shi'i ulema like Sharif al-Murtada (ra) on Sunni hadiths. al-Murtada incidentally only accepted mutawatir traditions and the collective memory of the madh'hab to establish the law, something which he was very successful at. Now if we were to use this type of methodology on the Sunni hadith and legal system, you would see it completely destroyed. One great proof of this is how the famous Sunni Maliki scholar al-Qurtubi claimed that the vast majority of Sunni law was based on ahad (isolated) hadiths and qiyas thus making the whole system conjectural. Not a pillar of this system would remain if it were to be passed by the high standards held by Shaykh al-Mufid (ra) and Sharif al-Murtada and their likes. So in reality, I don't think starting this tit for tat game that some Sunnis here have tried to push here is really in their favor.1 point
