V For Victory
Hameedeh and one other reacted to habib e najjaar for a topic
Dreams shaped on violence and oppression, Hopes crushed through military might; and The imprint of satan’s mace. Houses built on the echoing rubble of homes, Policies shaped on abuse and bigotry. Forgetting the recompense awaiting you in the eternal abode, You keep on, proud of your perceived victories; For every funeral you caused, Every bride you widowed, Every child you crippled, Every son you orphaned, Every mother you caused to mourn, Every father you left helpless, Every orphan you left in pangs of hunger, Every family you left desolate, Every home you tore apart, brick by brick, Every existence you threatened, Every planted grove you ripped from the earth, Every protected camp you shelled with bombs and gas, Every oppressed voice you stifled; and Every breath you suffocated. Surprised and enraged by our resilient existence, You forget your motto keeps us going: From God we are, and to Him we must surely return! Firm in the defence of our homeland, The land of saints and prophets, The land blessed by Isa (as), Muhammad (saw) and Mahdi (atf) Quds - the land of the free. Where death from your hands is anticipated; and Victory from God assured! May Allah free all the lands from oppression and occupation, and hasten our victory through the reappearance of our awaited master and saviour, Imam al Asr waz-Zamaan. (wasalam)2 points -

Can We Say Sunnis Killed Imam Hussain A.s!?
Muntaqim Force and one other reacted to JimJam for a topic
RealIslam, prove your accusation in a real manner, not from childish Youtube videos. Im talking real history, not amateur youtube "i expoz u lol" stuff. This thread is two pages long, they dont you try and give answers to the Shia point of view presented several times in this thread. First off tell me, was Kufa a 100% Shia populated city? Also consider this, the Tawabun Rebellion happened after the massacre of Karbala. The Kufan Shia, hearing of the event rose up in rebellion, whipped and tore at themselves in remorse and shame for their lack of courage in not standing up for Hussein (as) when it could have made a difference. They fought the Ummayads to avenge Hussain (as) and lost, most veteran followers of Ali(as) got killed. Those who survived spread their cause to the Permian Mawali underclass and started another rebellion and killed those people of Kufa who sided with the Ummayads against Hussain (as), this rebellion too was eventually crushed, although they did manage to kill the forces which had killed Hussain (as) including Ummayad governor of Kufa, Ibn Ziyad (la) Now let us test your claims in the light of history. If as you claim the ALL the Shias had sided with Yazid against Hussain (as) it must have been for money and power, that much is obvious. But if that is so then why as soon as, as you claim, they be Hussein (as) did they turn against Yazid and the Ummayad government and launch two successive rebellions to avenge Hussain (as) which resulted in nothing but devastation for them? Why did they turn their back on that wealth and power Yazid would have given them if they were really on their side? Let me simplify it You say Party 'K' sided with party 'U' and betrayed party 'H' for material reward. But and then after 'U' kills 'H' (with 'Ks' help as you claim) why does party 'K' take up arms to avenge party 'H', losing the material reward promised to them by party 'U' and their own lives in the process. It doesn't add up Why dont you read this http://www.answering-ansar.org/answers/who_killed_imam_hussain/en/chap1.php If Abu Hanifa was a follower of Imam Jaffar (as) then why did he formulate his own school of byt through applying analogical reasoning to hadith? All he and the Ahl-e-Hadith (as the proto-sunnis were called) like him were interested in was to learn hadith so he could have a bigger pool of hadith to create his legal system with. He was not really interested in Imam Jaffars (as) philosophy and teachings. and you also need to realise that this concept of "all Sunnis sect are the same" wasn't true at first. If that were true then there would have been no need for different sunni schools of thought to develop, no? This view developed due to the work of Abu Hasan al-Ashri who founded the Asharite philosophy followed by most Sunnis and he tried, quite successfully to bring Sunnis (who at that time were quite divided) to a compromise position, so that they now all say "all sunni sects are correct". But this philosophy also made them them very regressive minded.2 points -
^^^ <sigh> You just continually fail to grasp the simple facts and obscure the Truth with abstractions that have nothing to do with the issue at hand. I will say this once more, in a childish list fashion & short paragrahs, in the vain hope you'll comprehend: No one has said scholars are not required; No one has said scholars haven't/don't contribute greatly to our understanding and knowledge; No one has said it's wrong to seek advice/guidance from those more learned than you. OK so far? I hope so because honestly, if the above is confusing or contentious then we're in it deep. Now, let's move on to the actual subject at hand - taqlid to a mujtahid. I've asked for a single undisputed Quranic aya or narration explicitly stating it's a wajibaat for Shia'ah of Maula Ali (as) to practice taqlid. Not a fatwa from someone who wants you to do taqlid or what internet mujtahids think. So far NO ONE has managed to provide this. I've asked for the same for WeF. Same again, not a single Quranic aya or narration to support this man-made concept (here I'm disregarding whether it's a good thing or bad, just the concept per se). I've not come across ANY mention of either taqlid or WeF in writiings of the Aimma (as) or great scholars of our faith BEFORE the Iranian revolution. I mentioned the concepts of modern-day Usooli school are relatively new in Islamic history; no one (who knows any history) can refute this but baradar_jackson seems to think this proves it to be correct? Something recently innovated is right but what occurred for 1000 years beforehand is wrong?!? Orion went too far in his slavery; he posited Quranic ayah that ALL Shi'ah up until now believed to be referring to Allah, His Prophet and Imams and applied them to non-Masoom clerics (mazhallah). He took what we argue for until we're blue in the face to prove the 'correctness' of Divine Authority and applied that to his modern-day, non-Masoom political masters (I'm referring to his post where he linked to other SC threads that take the meaning of "those with knowledge" from Holy Quran to include others aside from the Ahlulbayt (as)). For the above alone he should be quivering with fear, instead he carries on posting as if it means nothing not even realising this is exactly what the sunnis do to validate authority of Caliphs. Let's summarise the position for me (and I would guess others who see taqlid/Wef for what it is): No one has authority to adopt titles such as Ayatollah or Hujjat al Islam except Masooms (and far greater scholars than modern-day ones NEVER took these titles); No one has authority to change Sharia or apply qiyas to ayah/narrations (I gave two examples earlier of chess and masah over socks but sadly there are hundreds more); No one has authority to claim rulership over all Shi'ah under the innovation of WeF (I've asked again and again for names of previous WeF before the last 30 years, so far no one - if the Shi'ah all lived without one for 1000 years then why now?); No one has authority to demand Shi'ah of Maula Ali (as) add an extra wajibaat to their aqeedah and give baya'ah to a scholar. I hope this clarifies my position and I pray those of my Shi'ah brothers and sisters still enslaved to a marjiyyat system taken from the sunnis (Imam Shafei in particular) ponder on this disaster and re-align themselves with the only true WeF amongst us, Our Liege-Lord and Master (ajtf). Debates/arguments Becoming Insulting
Mystery-* reacted to Shia_Debater for a topic
(bismillah) (salam) I have noticed on alot of the forums that people start off with asking a question, this leads to a debate which leads to arguing and then leads to insulting one another. Whether it is about WF or Shirazi or Marriage or Azadari or Syria or Iran or Taqleed etc.. There is nothing wrong with someone asking a question, and I don't see anything wrong with putting forward your views, but why is it that everywhere on this forum people put forward their views and then throw a couple insults at the other person whilst they are at it? What are you trying to achieve by insulting others? Even if in the end they accepted y'our views and found them to be correct and admit they made a mistake did you bring them to accept your views in a good way? I dont recall the prophet (pbuh) insulting someone who didn't accept Islam nauthobillah Just because someones views are different to yours it doesn't give you a right to insult them. If It Is Haram To Be Jealous Of Another Wife?
Master Chief reacted to Abu Hadi for a topic
Salams, I agree with the above point. I live in the West too, in the U.S. There are many non muslim and even muslimas who are doing all sorts of corrupt things and this is epidemic. The problem is that I don't see how marrying them will solve the problem in most cases. Allah(s.w.a) is the one who sends the hidaya and He(s.w.a) sends it to who He(s.w.a) wills. This is in the Holy Quran in many places and I'm sure you are familiar with it. How do you know that if you find some random women or girl that Allah(s.w.a) will send her the hidaya just because you are now married to her? Also, we live in the information age. There are many ways that a lady can find out information about Islam and Ahl Al Bayt, no just thru being married to you. Also, if you look at the practices of our Prophet and Imams, it is different from what you say. Staring with Rasoulallah(p.b.u.h), the first wife he had , Sayyida Khadija(a.s) was already good before he married her. Also if you look at the majority of his other wives, Umm Salama, etc, you will find that they were good before he married them. The one notable exception (most of you know which wife I am talking about), well lets just say that her actions proved that marriage to Rasoulallah(p.b.u.h) didn't change her and she was the way she was till the day she died. Also, even she was not that way when he married her but she became that way after that. So Rasoulallah(p.b.u.h) didn't marry corrupt women to guide them but married women who were already good to increase their status . A few of his wives were not exactly that way but none were corrupt when he married them. Also, he had Wahiy and Allah(s.w.a) gave him some knowledge of Alim Al Ghaib (knowledge of the unseen) with regards to his wives. We don't have this, so don't you think it is logical for us to stay on the safe side ? Also, in the famous ahadith from Rasoulallah, he advises us to marry a women with Iman and Taqwa, just as he advises women to marry men with these same qualities. So a women who is corrupt obviously has no Iman and Taqwa so as per Rasoulallah it is not advisable to marry her. That is not to say that we should not try to help them and guide them, but there are other ways to do this besides marriage. I know that we are limited in how we can interact with non mahram, but it is possible and also there are many other ways that they can be guided besides us. Also, in the Holy Quran it says that our duty is to convey the Haqq and if they turn away from it then we where not sent as Waqil over them. Sis ImAli, Whatever you decide between you and your husband is your business. It is not up to us to criticize that. The only thing that is required of you is that you recognize that a man to marry more than one women and zawaj mutah (within the limits that Allah(s.w.a) has defined) is halal and that you should not criticize anyone or think less of them because they are doing it (provided that it is within the limits of Allah). Everyone has limits and has tests which they could not pass. Ask Allah(s.w.a) not to test you in that way and if He(s.w.a) chooses that test for you, then ask him to give you the patience and resolve to pass the test. InshahAllah you will not be tested in that way. Before my children were born ( I have three boys), I asked Allah(s.w.a) to make them healthy because I knew that probably I could not bear to be tested with a sick child. Alhamduillah, they were all born healthy and they are still healthy and that is due to the Grace of Allah(s.w.a). So I was tested in other ways and not this way. So we all have our things and issues.1 point -
How Would You Feel If Your Wife Took Another Husba
OneNoteSong reacted to ImAli for a topic
Regardless almost every man on here fails to recognize that the life of the first wife is turned completely upside down in what probably seems like a split second to her and it probably isn't what she was looking for out of life. Marriage should also be based on love, compassion, and mercy......in most cases the first wife will never be happy again when a new woman is brought into the family. IF that is the case how do you expect the family to work if part of the family is not happy?1 point -
Allah also pointed out the Khalifa to the angels and told them to bow before him in acknowledgement of his god-granted authority. Muhammd (pbuh) raised Ali's (as) hand before the assembled muslims and said "Man kunto Maula, fa haza Ali un Maula", each Imam appointed his successor one after the other except for Imam Mahdi who is still here, but not apparent. So now we effectively are on own devices, each of us must manage as best as we can. Without any nass from a preceding authority, how can we believe anyone's claim to wilayah? And suppose there was no person such as Ahmad al-Hasan. Would you still be so against democracy? What would be your alternative to democracy? .1 point

(bismillah) (salam) 3 things you can do: 1) Look to the ground (so that the angels of the ground will bless you) 2) Look at the sky (so that the angels of the sky will bless you) 3) Close your eyes (so that both the angels of the ground and the sky will bless you) Imam Sadiq (as) said that 2 times looking at one woman breaks the fast. Also we are told that the eyes are the gates to our heart. Be careful with what Allah gave you! Here is a compilation of ayah's in holy Qur'an which mention the eyes. Whenever in the past shaitan bothered me with my eyes I used to read it: 15:88 Strain not thine eyes. (Wistfully) at what We have bestowed on certain classes of them, nor grieve over them: but lower thy wing (in gentleness) to the believers. 15:15 They would only say: "Our eyes have been intoxicated: Nay, we have been bewitched by sorcery." 18:28 And keep thy soul content with those who call on their Lord morning and evening, seeking His Face; and let not thine eyes pass beyond them, seeking the pomp and glitter of this Life; no obey any whose heart We have permitted to neglect the remembrance of Us, one who follows his own desires, whose case has gone beyond all bounds. 20:131 Nor strain thine eyes in longing for the things We have given for enjoyment to parties of them, the splendour of the life of this world, through which We test them: but the provision of thy Lord is better and more enduring. 24:37 By men whom neither traffic nor merchandise can divert from the Remembrance of Allah, nor from regular Prayer, nor from the practice of regular Charity: Their (only) fear is for the Day when hearts and eyes will be transformed (in a world wholly new),- 25:74 And those who pray, "Our Lord! Grant unto us wives and offspring who will be the comfort of our eyes, and give us (the grace) to lead the righteous." 36:66 If it had been our Will, We could surely have blotted out their eyes; then should they have run about groping for the Path, but how could they have seen? 37:48 And besides them will be chaste women, restraining their glances, with big eyes (of wonder and beauty). 40:19 ((Allah)) knows of (the tricks) that deceive with the eyes, and all that the hearts (of men) conceal. 43:71 To them will be passed round, dishes and goblets of gold: there will be there all that the souls could desire, all that their eyes could delight in: and ye shall abide therein (for aye). 44:54 So; and We shall join them to Companions with beautiful, big, and lustrous eyes. 52:20 They will recline (with ease) on Thrones (of dignity) arranged in ranks; and We shall join them to Companions, with beautiful big and lustrous eyes. 54:7 They will come forth,- their eyes humbled - from (their) graves, (torpid) like locusts scattered abroad, 56:22 And (there will be) Companions with beautiful, big, and lustrous eyes,- 68:43 Their eyes will be cast down,- ignominy will cover them; seeing that they had been summoned aforetime to bow in adoration, while they were whole, (and had refused). 79:9 Cast down will be (their owners') eyes. 90:8 Have We not made for him a pair of eyes?- 24:30 Say to the believing men that they should lower their gaze and guard their modesty: that will make for greater purity for them: And Allah is well acquainted with all that they do. 24:31 And say to the believing women that they should lower their gaze and guard their modesty; that they should not display their beauty and ornaments except what (must ordinarily) appear thereof; that they should draw their veils over their bosoms and not display their beauty except to their husbands, their fathers, their husband's fathers, their sons, their husbands' sons, their brothers or their brothers' sons, or their sisters' sons, or their women, or the slaves whom their right hands possess, or male servants free of physical needs, or small children who have no sense of the shame of sex; and that they should not strike their feet in order to draw attention to their hidden ornaments. And O ye Believers! turn ye all together towards Allah, that ye may attain Bliss. 79:40 And for such as had entertained the fear of standing before their Lord's (tribunal) and had restrained (their) soul from lower desires, ma'a salama, Ihsaan1 point -

(bismillah) Barader Jackson, This is a well planned attack on the Marjaya't. There are some people who are either scared or jealous of the recent success of our scholars in Iraq, Iran, Lebanon, etc. The idea is to cause divisions among Shia and this way weaken the influence of Marjas. First they tried to create differences b/w different Marjas. But that did not last long. So now they are propagating this so called "Akhbarim". When in fact real Akhbarism is long dead and these people have nothing to do with it. Thats why I call them pseudo-Akhbaris or Akhbari wannabees. These people have a grudge against our scholars and the IR. This pseudo-Akhbarism is just their cover. When this ploy will fail they will come up with something else. If It Is Haram To Be Jealous Of Another Wife?
Waiting for HIM reacted to Haydar Husayn for a topic
She doesn't have an legitimate Islamic reason to be hurt. Regarding it being an injustice to take another wife without consultation, you are therefore saying that the rules for marriage given by Allah and His Messenger are unjust since there is no requirement to consult. They are less than pure since they are fuelled by jealousy, whereas wanting to get married is a pure intention.Would you say that someone who wanted to get married for the first time was doing it for less than pure reasons because one of his reasons was sex? No, of course not. The problem is instead of using Islamic criteria for judging what is pure and what isn't, you are using cultural criteria. Exactly, she is his wife, so she should be even less willing to criticise her husband for doing something halal. As for your example, did the verse I quoted from the Qur'an just go completely over your head, or are you not familiar with its context? In summary, Aisha wanted the Prophet (pbuh) to stop drinking honey (for reasons of jealousy), the Prophet (pbuh) did what she wanted, and then the verse of the Qur'an was revealed. Intention is important here. If you want your husband to eat vegetables instead of chocolate because of concern for his health, then that is obviously fine. However, if you forbid him something because of feelings of jealousy (or some other negative emotion), then that is wrong. If it was up to Aisha, the Prophet (pbuh) wouldn't have married most of his subsequent wives. Or what about when Aisha and Hafsa objected to the Prophet (pbuh) doing muta, and thereby causing big problems? Why don't you argue they were within their rights? In case you don't know what I am talking about, here is the hadith: 22 – And he said: And al-Fadl ash-Shaybani narrated by his isnad to al-Baqir عليه السلام that `Abdullah b. `Ata al-Makki asked him about the saying of Allah تعالى “And when the Prophet disclosed” (to the end of) the verse (66:3). So he said: Verily the Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وآله married a freewoman in mut`a, and one of his wives found out about it and accused him of lewdness. So he said: It is allowed for me, it is a marriage with a term so keep it secret. So she informed one of his wives about it. http://www.*******.org/hadiths/marriage/muta/lawfulness-of-muta It is obviously easier to do justice to one wife, since there are less things to think about, but the issue is not one of piety. Where did I say that a man should stay married to a woman who no longer wants to stay in the marriage? What I said was a man shouldn't give her the right to divorce him in the way a he can divorce his wife. If a woman wants a divorce, she should seek a khula. As was mentioned earlier, this whole discussion is purely hypothetical for 99.9% of women here, but it is rather sad that even in hypothetical scenarios, people can't have the correct Islamic attitude (even if they admit they aren't currently strong enough to practice it) and instead want to follow their culture. What hope is there then in situations that actual do frequently occur?1 point -

may ahmed al hassan die on the toilet im convinced that he is either dead, or totally made up by anti shia forces. why else dont they show his face? his videos? his speeches? not only that but numerous members have now said, if he claims to be in posession of the will of the prophet, then scan it in and show us! if i was to claim that *i* owned the will of the prophet, would everyone accept my word if i started quoting dodgy hadiths that no one has any way of verifying? if they can provide solid evidence such as tge will of the prophet, then you know what? ill be open minded.1 point -

Shia_Debater reacted to Gypsy for a topic
(salam) Is there any fatwa from any mujtahids that deemed such discriminatory laws Islamic? Your reasoning is extremely flawed. This law has nothing to do with Islam. In Islam, unmarried woman need to seek permission only from her guardian to marry a man. If her father says he approves of the marriage, then the marriage is valid. The government should not decide that children of a man marrying a foreign woman is more entitled to the citizenship than children born out of foreign man (with Iranian woman). Hawraa deserve to get her citizenship just like Hameedeh gets to keep hers. To be fair, it need to be pointed out that Iran is not the only country in the world who have such laws. In fact many countries in Asia have such discriminatory laws.1 point -

(bismillah) (salam) Thank you for the help, bro. You did me a great favor! I tried to put the videos back in there, but they wouldn't go in. ShiaChat must not allow that. At least I can edit or delete the links to other websites. Also, a huge thank you for the well wishes. May Allah SWT accept all your prayers, fasting, du'aas and all your amal. fee aman Allah1 point -
Muawiyah (LA) was a nasibi. His son Yazeed (LA) was a bigger nasibi than his father, because Yazeed killed many more number of people from Prophet’s (sawa) family.1 point

Is It True That Most Iranians Are Leaving Islam?
DoubleAgent4 reacted to alimohamad40 for a topic
we can be Emus and put our head in the sand but in reality a huge proportion of the iranian and iraqi and many other nations are not into islam at all i have seen the worse hatred towards islam from some iranians and Iraqis Racism is Also rampant everywhere even amongst people who still claim to uphold islam the Aryan idea is the same as the Nazi ideology and yes majority of the people are racist and they worship the land you can ask them and they will admit it the Islamic project is a unity project but the racist project is a segregation project were each race tries to rise above the other race. lately some iranians have been burning quraans and showing it on youtube under the excuse that the islamic government oppressed the people. most of the people who defend or offend iran are driven by emotions and or secterianism. .. we need to look at facts.... when the power keeps going out in a country that has the 2nd largest gas reserve in the world doesn't that say alot ? when there is no proper system to collect rubbsih rampant bribery,,, my father had to travel maybe 30 times to Tehran just to get one simple application done and they wouldn't do it unless he pays the bribe,,, he ended up paying the bribe to get it done. when citizenship laws are so unislamic and require the "Hasr alwaratha" which is investigating to make sure that you are 9 generation iranian pure aryan nazi blood while you have countries like Australia which are so much more islamic in this aspect and they grant the citizenship to any migrant after 2 years regardless of his race. people with no citizenship have no right to get married or go to school or buy a house (at the time that i lived there 1990-1995) lots and lots of anti islamic laws in the islamic republic,,,, should we be emues and turn a blind eye to them? of course we should support the islamic project against the zionist project but it doesn't mean we forgo our ideology for something which is just islamic by name and not fully islamic in essence,1 point -
[update] Sistani Speaks On The Mockery Of Imams
Haydar Husayn reacted to Ali_Hussain for a topic
(salam) I think as regards to this point "I am also aware that these Holy Personalities (as) are being portrayed with their faces showing!" we should really stop bringing it up, as i know many sunnis who where outraged at the fact that prophets (as) faces were shown in all the other shia made films. ok the difference is that they were made in a way showing them in a good light, whilst this clearly isn't. But never the less, as a sentence in itself, we shouldn't bring it up as it is hypocritical, because we all know that they are agianst any depiction of prophets. Especilally in other films, the faces of certain non-ma'sooms have been covered. i personnally am not in favour of showing the faces of any prophets or members of the ahlul bayt. Also, abou the e-mail, are we sure it isn't just going to give them a good laugh, not the one the sister asked us to copy paste, but you can imagine many people getting over emotional and sending e-mails that the wahabis would take great pleasure in.1 point -
