  1. Past hour
  2. Well Sister, yeah I do reckon our community needs to be less judgemental when a mu'min brother/sister goes ahead with something halal. We really make it difficult for the youth out there and don't explain the solutions provided by our Imams (عليه السلام). It's okay to be aware of the pros and cons, but no one has the right to judge anyone who does mut'ah.
  3. "I have sex even if I am not married . Does that make me a not good Muslim ?" Just woah just this sentence say a lot about this "show".
  4. As a matter of fact the executive producer is Bahai. And here is what she had to say. Darling adds that portraying the religious differences between the Anglican and Muslim characters on Little Mosque meant navigating some murky waters. “We were really interested in seeing those religions shoved together and sharing a space, and we get close [to addressing religious differences head-on] in a couple of episodes. We had to stay out of the territory of being dry and didactic and preachy,” Darling says. Our Muslim brothers have a choice between hallal and haram intercourse, you have a vocal group in ShiaChat who are critical of mut3 and comment against this practice. Unfortunately, over the years we are seeing irl and in the forum people disrespecting marja3s and beleivers, disregarding mut3, downplaying hijab/modesty, and encouraging sin. God keep us steadfast and we seek refuge from Allah from the accursed Shaytan. M3 Salamah, Fe Amin Allah
  5. Scholars are not really agreed on the meaning of the word "Ummi," which is used here in the plural. Sunni scholars generally thought it meant "unlettered." Shia scholars, I think, thought it referred to the Prophet being from the city. Translators wrote whatever they thought met with their understanding. I think Muslims had not bothered to ask the Prophet the meanings of many verses and so when they were left to figure it out on their own, they were confounded, As you are aware, there was a problem with the leadership after the Prophet's death, so some may have avoided asking too many questions of Imam Ali, the most knowledgeable of them all, until he became caliph, which was some 35 years later.
  6. Hindu do believe in one God, and they have different names Eshwar, Bhagwaan, Prabhu etc. Lets see the story of Adam and eve which they claim present in their book: Isn't it weird? Lots of problems in this story and their concept of God too.

  8. Well we'll all have to answer Allah on the day of judgement. I just hope our youth don't go to the extent of considering the act of homosexuality to be halal. God save us all. Imam ((عليه السلام).) explained: “There is no one who leaves this world while considering sodomy Halāl, but that Allah hits him with one of the stones that had fallen on the people of Hazrat Lut ((عليه السلام).).”
  9. Salamun Alaikum!! There is a famous hadith "Awwalo ma khalaq Allaho noori" (Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى) has created my noor first). There is another hadith which mentions "Kunto nabiyyan wa Adama baynal maa'e watteen" (I was the Prophet when Adam was between the stage of water & clay). The hadith which mentions that Prophet and Ali were created from the same noor is authentic. Following link provides detailed analysis of hadeeth e noor https://www.seratonline.com/22355/analysis-of-the-tradition-of-light-hadis-e-nur-part-1/
  10. What is Islam's ruling on owning a pet wolf? question I am obsessed with wolves. Not much more obsessed than Islam, but I still love wolves. What is Islam's ruling on owning a pet wolf? Concise answer Office of Grand Ayatollah Khamenei (may Allah grant him long life): There is no problem in it by itself. Office of Grand Ayatollah Sistani (may Allah grant him long life): There is no problem in it. Office of Grand Ayatollah Makarem Shirazi (may Allah grant him long life): There is no objection in keeping animals but it is befitting for faithful individuals to have a (rational) purpose behind keeping them. Office of Grand Ayatollah Saafi Gulpaigani (may Allah grant him long life): There is no objection in keeping it but the rules concerning purity and offering prayers should be observed. Hence, if wolf hair is with a person, the prayers which he offers would be void. Its excretion and urine are Najis (ritually impure). Answer of Ayatollah Mahdi Hadavi Tehrani (may Allah grant him long life): 1. There is no problem in it. 2. The excretion of this animal is Najis. 3. Any parts of this animal's body including its fur or wool on a person's body or clothe, will affect his prayers. http://www.islamquest.net/en/archive/question/fa12724 Ayt Makarem: An animal produced by a combination of dogs and wolves Question: Sometimes some unusual animals are brought to the veterinarians for examination, which is questionable about cleanliness, including mixed races that have been created by the combination of wolves and dogs. based on that the wolf is clean, this animal, which is very similar to the wolf, what is ruling about being unclean or purity? answer : If it is similar to wolf, it is clean. http://portal.anhar.ir/node/2163#gsc.tab=0
  11. That's not ideal but there are many online and anonymous alternatives, like I said, check out Kooth, Childline and Sanaritans (a phone service you can call/text and the number wont show up in your bill).
  12. MashAllah, enjoyed reading this. Very well written. It would have been even better had you given the verses from Qur'an for reference.
  13. I remember having read that a majority of young American Muslims were in favor of same sex marriage. So I don’t have so much hope anymore for American Muslims honnestly.

  15. Even if we don’t consider you as real Muslims at least we always have some similarities and common goals so we could always collaborate for some circumstances. In general you don’t need to be very similar with someone for being allied with him and achieve some works. Guardian is not at all a paper I take seriously and this is the kind of newspaper which love to do "buzz" and love to do "scandal" but publishing such works and again from my experience from Middle East I just can’t intellectually take seriously such non sense. Also alawites are not at all an homogenous group, some of them claim to be Shias while in the next villages some of them not at all. In general when we analyze their beliefs and their practices most Shias will hardly consider them as Shias or even Muslims. If many Shia armed groups came to Syria it is because the tiny Shia minority living here was threatened by radical groups and the holy shrines also and Assad was the only person who was not a danger for them and have also the force to take power so they don’t really have other choices. By the way there had been not only Shia foreign fighters who came to Syria. Many palestinians and Arab nationalist fighters (seculars or mainly Sunnis) came to Syria for fight with Assad but strangely we don’t hear so much about them. Now you are just speaking without proofs even the most anti assad opponents admit that most of his soldiers are Sunnis. In fact most "secular Sunnis" prefer Assad to the opposition and if you just see a little the composition of the government you would observe that most of the ministers are Sunnis.
  16. Prepare against them whatever you can of [military] power and war-horses, awing thereby the enemy of Allah, and your enemy, and others besides them, whom you do not know, but Allah knows them. And whatever you spend in the way of Allah will be repaid to you in full, and you will not be wronged. (60) Anfal 60 after providing military power & enough protection we can accept peace treaty of them not in condition that we are in weak state or they can harm us in future that "Jihad ibtada2i .. initiatory jihad" is first requirement for this.
  17. I can discuss this matter in more detail and can share with you more information. But not at the moment, right now, I am continue my focus on the matter I am discussing. So it is Madinatul ilm (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم), who is mentioning the merits of his companion. And he (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) equalizing him with a Ma'soom in modesty and austerity. It is a lesson for us that anyone from us who strive to achieve self purification & struggle in the way of Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى) can achieve the status equals to Prophets in any field. Now lets get back to Qur'an, who are the ulil azm Prophets? Nuh (عليه السلام), Ibrahim (عليه السلام), Musa (عليه السلام), Isa (عليه السلام) and Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم), lets see the story of one ulil azm Prophet (Musa (عليه السلام)) from Qur'an: فَوَجَدَا عَبْدًا مِنْ عِبَادِنَا آتَيْنَاهُ رَحْمَةً مِنْ عِنْدِنَا وَعَلَّمْنَاهُ مِنْ لَدُنَّا عِلْمًا {65} [Shakir 18:65] Then they found one from among Our servants whom We had granted mercy from Us and whom We had taught knowledge from Ourselves. قَالَ لَهُ مُوسَىٰ هَلْ أَتَّبِعُكَ عَلَىٰ أَنْ تُعَلِّمَنِ مِمَّا عُلِّمْتَ رُشْدًا {66} [Shakir 18:66] Musa said to him: Shall I follow you on condition that you should teach me right knowledge of what you have been taught? قَالَ إِنَّكَ لَنْ تَسْتَطِيعَ مَعِيَ صَبْرًا {67} [Shakir 18:67] He said: Surely you cannot have patience with me This is the story of Khidr (عليه السلام) & Musa (عليه السلام). Was Khidr (عليه السلام) mentioned as a Ulil Azm Nabi? Yet he seems to be more knowledgeable and hence placed on greater level of patience as compared to the Ulil Azm Nabi. Interestingly, Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى) has introduced him as "one from among my servants" (Abdan min ibadena) just like He has used similar words for Prophet Isa (عليه السلام) in the following verse: إِنْ هُوَ إِلَّا عَبْدٌ أَنْعَمْنَا عَلَيْهِ وَجَعَلْنَاهُ مَثَلًا لِبَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ {59} [Shakir 43:59] He was naught but a servant on whom We bestowed favor, and We made him an example for the children of Israel. Now get back to the verse 4:69 and see again its content and try to understand why I was saying in response to the "absurd" question: who is superior Isa (عليه السلام) or Abbas (عليه السلام)? So who knows exactly that who has been granted greater in'am? Obviously only Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى) knows that. What I know is that Abbas (عليه السلام) has indeed obeyed Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى) and Apostle (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) and has sacrificed his life as well as the adornment of this worldly life "fee sabilillah". I am neither a Prophet nor a scholar to give any religious verdict, I am just a student who is holding the thaqalain in my hands and I do read them and try to understand them with my limited knowledge. I do reserve the right to differ in opinion with any of my respected scholars. I have my own mind and own way of analyzing the information. Nowhere I have mentioned the overall superiority of hazrat Abbas (عليه السلام) over any Prophet, instead I am continuously maintaining the "had-e-adab" while discussing the merits of ma'soom and ghayr-e-ma'soom. No one become mo'min if he does not believe in the Prophethood of Isa (عليه السلام), no mo'min can ever deny that he is Kalimatullah, Ruhullah etc. What I have learned from my studies is that the most beloved title to almost every Prophet including Prophet Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم), is the title of "Abd". Isa (عليه السلام) is Abd, Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) is Abd, Ahlul Bayt are Abd and in this "Abdiyaat", Hazrat Abbas (عليه السلام) has secured his name and our Imams have called him "Abd-us Saleh". I don't know what in'am Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى) will grant him for his "be-mithl" service and sacrifice and sincerity, whether it will greater than Isa (عليه السلام) or lesser, greater than Musa (عليه السلام) or lesser etc. What I know for sure is that it will be less than Prophet Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) and his Ahlul Bayt (عليه السلام) I think I have repeated and elaborated with full politeness, whatever I have said earlier. I am now out of this thread and will not respond here. Wassalam
  18. @Ali~J I was listening to this sheikh and it's actually a good idea to not let those feelings develop unless you're certain that you'll end up marrying a girl. It's actually our fault for putting ourselves in that position. Islamically, it is never wise to wait that long. Our scholars even go to the extent of making it clear that even if you are getting to know someone for marriage, you can't open up and get overly emotional. It's always wise to get parents involved early on. We actually put ourselves in that position. It's when you kept texting, you ended up getting emotionally attached to her. Shaytan comes to us in many ways and will justify everything. I know initially it must have felt very nice texting her, and you probs had assured yourself "But I'm not doing anything harram". This is where the problem starts. If you always focus on doing things the halal way, Allah will bless your marriage and place true love in both of your hearts. It's very important to get third parties involved right from the start. Our intentions have to be very pure too. Take this as a lesson because you do learn from your mistakes. Don't regret what happened because it's an opportunity for you to learn and become stronger. Please don't think I'm saying that you did anything harram. I'm just giving a heads ups to be mindful because a lot of us can get it wrong (including me).
  19. @Ali~J Your welcome. Don't try too hard. Make sure you are relaxed when you try it.
  20. No, it's unrequited love. She will be long gone by then
  21. Salam in Iran we have a famous quote that " having a single shoe in dessert is a fortune" although Tasemine Taeb profile doesn't show her as a Shia Muslim but anyway being someone with title of a Shia Muslim is better than not being in office & maybe she will have to fix her image as a Shia Muslim beside other Muslim women like as Ilhan Umar & at least wears a light scarf anyway she had some activity against Trump Muslim Ban & Islamophobia but her appearance doesn't represent any Islamic image but she described as an observant Muslim in wikipedia ,at least Qasim Rashid has a light beard & we need some emoticons with beard too https://en.shafaqna.com/8307/who-is-financing-islamophobia-in-the-united-states/ but all members of NIAC are supporting Iran Sanctions & their founder and president Trita Parsi was an spy in favor of America during JCPOA talks that already supports sanction of Iran by America https://www.theepochtimes.com/pro-Iran-socialist-yasmine-taeb-runs-for-virginia-state-senate_2784911.html anyway if she elects for office , she must be always under Radar of her Shia & Sunni supporters in order to doesn't work against Iran & Muslims
  22. @Murtaza1 Thanks for those links I'll definitely try it out and let you know how it went!
  23. Like how their whole life revolves around the mosque and community. Reminded me more of Mormons or Jehovah Witnesses. More inaccurate than stereotypical actually. I have rather seen youngsters indulging in bad stuff, but knowing it is bad and they will pay for their sins unless they repent and reform themselves. Such shows tend to make people doubt this and focus on how they are 'good' and 'trying to find their way'. Complete opposite of our holy figures and the Qur'an, which 'they' aka dajjali system try to suppress from our minds.
  24. Walaikuma salam, I understand your point. The words 'Mental Illness' are too harsh and have negative connotations in society because of people's attitudes. I prefer to use the words 'Mind Disorder' it is much more nicer, gentle and respectable. You don't have to tell your parents. Simple NLP techniques are available on the internet for you to try on yourself. You can also get a family member or friend to play the therapist. I think it works better if the person performing it is somebody you trust. Here is a good website. I suggest try the Reframing technique (number 16 in the list of NLP techniques): NLP Reframing technique: https://www.nlp-techniques.org/what-is-nlp/six-step-reframing/ Complete set of different NLP techniques for you to explore on the website: https://www.nlp-techniques.org/what-is-nlp/nlp-techniques-list/
  25. The Bismillahir Rahmanir Rahim In the name of Allah most gracious most Merciful. La illaha illAllah Muhammador Rasoolullaah May Allah shower his blessings on Muhammad and his Ahlul Bayt. Asalaam wa laikum brothers and Sisters, Alhamdulilah, for the past year when I turned 40 years of age strange occurrences happened to me and in these strange occurrences I believe that an insight was given to me as to a more definitive structural outlook of believers and outlook of disbelievers or unbelievers. I do not claim to receive revelation or alter revelation of the Holy Qur'an in any form. I only seek to understand Allahs Holy Book and how it relates to the nature of our existence in the past, present, and future. Please do give thought and reflection so that we all may enhance our understanding of our religion and ourselves. I was Born and raised only by title as a Sunni Muslim for most of my teenage years and then introduced to Ahlul Bayt in a blessed strange occurrence on the 19th of Ramadhan in the year 2000. For years I saw disbelievers as any religion outside the precincts of Al Islam with the exception of the people of the book whom I saw as Christians and Jews etc who lost their ways and went astray into disbelief. But then after some strange occurrences leading up to my 40 birthday while in the midst of reflection and thought one night in Rajab, it suddenly dawned on me at that moment! Human beings are two different species! The Holy Qur'an breaks us into two different species, Believers and Disbelievers. As we are created from dust ranging widely, We look alike and have physical features that resemble that of being of the same human race, but our patterns of thought and nature are on a completely different signal. This signal is the very signal that would not allow the two species to ever peacefully co exist throughout the time upon the Earth which we know as the ever revolving battle between good vs evil. The Holy Qur'an mentions how the two species kill each other by nature. This is why the Angels questioned Allah about the very existence of Man before being created and Allah scolded them. The Angels limited in knowledge only understood that in free will being a huge factor in the existence for man would give the disbelieving men and jinn the drive for war and bloodshed and rebellion and against Allah and his believing servants. So Allah revealed the exalted personalities which were to come through the loins of Adam AS over the course of time. Free will is part of the factor which creates the signal that separates the two species of humans. Allah mentions in the Qur'an how he could have made us one Nation but he didn’t. The unbelievers are those who fully exercise free will in believing there is no God and their desires become their God or they attribute others to God or even believe themselves to be a God like Ibliss, Nimrod, Pharaoh etc. By exercising full free will their hearts become blackened and hard like stone and in which a seal is set around that stone and then you have the expression their fate is sealed. They are therefore deaf, dumb, and blind. They are on a complete different signal which is why surah Kafirun was revealed. The Holy Qur'an is a signal to the believers who would be coming from different backgrounds through the loins of believers and Disbelievers alike warning them to submit which is what Islam essentially means, Those who submit their free will to Allah and are in peace, because the reality is that there is no free will outside the Tawhid of Allah. All creation outside of free will recognizes the Oneness and majesty of Allah. Those who believe are on the same signal of oneness even if they are not of Al Islam itself. It’s this signal which drives believers to Al Islam. It is how Allah makes the believers. If you read suratul Jinn, in this chapter believing jinns sought request to the presence of Muhammad SAW and so they explained how a group of them are believers and the others are like a different species or group who attribute sins and daughters with Allah. This is nature of the disbelievers to willfully sin and deceive and cause mischief in rebellion to the existence of Allah. There is no conscious or remorse with their sin and it’s purposeful. All the major sins are the same for them and they all excel at certain sins more that others. Like the believers who excel at certain good deeds and gain status in Jannah it is the same for people of Jahannam in regards to their evil deeds. On judgment day these disbelievers and munafiqoon who were amongst believer ranks will show up blackened faces and disfigured and bad smells. The true nature of their evils and who they really are will show. The disbelievers are a different species and This is why Allah forbids believers from eating their meat and taking them for friends and marrying them because They will always be of a rebellious sinful nature and only seek to do you harm and pull you away from the straight path. They don’t guard their thoughts and modesty. Their ambition to fulfill there desires is unguarded and they will oppress and transgress in fulfilling those desires in beastly ways and systematically. When believers sin they not only sin against themselves but they participate in sins that essentially are helping disbelievers rebel. The major Sins that are characteristic of the unbelievers can deform the soul of a believer and therefore he has to be cleansed through repentance or the grave or hellfire. When you think about the worlds problems most stem from disbelievers machinations and beastly ways. You watch the news and see a story and think to yourself who would do such a thing? The disbelievers would do such things because their minds work differently. Their lust for murder, raping, stealing, control, abuse, fornicating, gambling, drinking, vanity, etc is strong within them as individuals and collectively as towns, cities and nations. Allah has constantly been destroying certain lands based on not just the unbelief but the heavy sins that accompany unbelief. Allah mentions this in the Qur'an many times. In the Shaitan’s war against man he has everyone fighting against each other which takes the focus off him and his allies. There are believing Christians who are monotheistic but it is plagued by munafiqoon pretending to be Christian by calling Jesus the son of God or God outright. These are pagan Christians which are essentially unbelieving hypocrites and these type of hypocrites are in the ranks of Islam and most worldly religions who’s main principal is Tawhid as well. Allah knows the believing hearts and disbelieving hearts. They can’t fool Allah. The disbelievers aim is to disprove Allahs existence and deteriorate society by turning what’s unlawful into lawful and turning what’s lawful into unlawful. These are the owners of the fire, the people on the left who will be the losers on judgement day. It is in Gods mercy that we are not just Muslim but Shia Muslim Accepting all tenants of Allahs universal holy book and order. It makes us the upper echelon of believers. So it is imperative that we hold on to the rope of faith firmly. Those who didn’t accept all tenants but had tawhid will have to answer to Allah but salvation is attainable. Remember Muhammad SAW asked that of his ummah even those who just held on to La illaha illAllah will attain Jannah at some point and the last man to come out of Jannah will have had held on to just that, leaving Shaitan with those disbelievers he was meant to be with and not one believer. Give glad tidings to the believers when you see them especially because you don’t know the psychological duress that the enemies of Allah have them under in many different environments. There are believers who haven’t formally taken shahadah walking around trying to make sense of the evils in this world not realizing that the disbelieving men and women have joined forces with the like minded of the disbelieving jinn devils. I read a Hadith a long time ago in Muhammad says “those who understand Islam are in fact Muslim by heart”. I believe this refers to that universal signal of tawhid and goodness. Inshallah may Allah have mercy on the believing men and women around the world and forgive us our sins of ignorance, sins of arrogance, and sins of negligence.
  26. Salam , it's very hard but not impossible even in Iran as a country that majority of politician are Muslim & Shia but still we see corruption in majority of them that sometimes needs that people attack them in social media to fix a part of their corruption anyway America has more clear about actions of politicians & inshaAllah after election the Shia voters can trace actions of their representative & fix his action & ask him/her to fix any error that maybe done by her/him during & after his election & going to office
